Pros I like that you can ease into it for first timers and that you can just navigate from screen to screen. I like that the customer service is great now!! Cons I am still unsure about some items . My drivers already used to it. Cons (1) Hard to reach support in odd hours. I wish you have 24X7 customer service as bus business runs 24X7. (2) Drivers forgot to sign off duty a lot. Safety tracking is an added bonus that helps us incentivize drivers for practicing safe driving techniques. Cons The only downside is that when the gateway has an issue with the truck the GPS tracking is shut down. Feel should go to prison for fraud Pros Nothing I was impressed at the beginning of all it appears to do. There is nothing to like. Their so-called free trial was a means to steal money from my bank account. Never used free trial as never activated Cons The so called free trial of product. Had a issue and couldnt try it out and so sit in box. Tried to return and because of sickness and problems never got to. Seeing not even used or activated instead of sending a way to return because could see not used took money from a small family business for a product not even used. Get this not once but after first time called for refund and way to return and knowing trying to canceled stole an additional payment in the same month The product and service never used but deducted from a personal account the payment twice in a month. I will be contacting an attorney and my bank. Personally feel should call the police and put in jail for fraud. GPS, Routing, ELD and Tracking all together. easy to use for non tech people. excellent reporting and driver management platform as well. all in one pricing was also a great feature. Cons when doing reporting for drives calendar will not stay on dates selected. Pros i liked the live view future. it actually allows you to pin point a driver and view in real time where they are and what they are doing. the difference from other GPS companies is it is not just a bread crumb image, you actually see it moving in real time. I like the helicopter view. Overall I like the program very much!! Seems very accurate and on spot. I love the camera option! Cons I don't like that the drivers can't see their specific times better on the logs. Seems to take a long time sometimes to "catch up" with the driver. I wish that the speed limits were better updated as I have noticed that it alerts a speeding truck and they aren't actually speeding. I think that it would be great if on the main fleet map area that the trucks could be green for moving, red for stopped and engine off, and yellow or orange for trucks that are idling. Very helpful to know where drivers are at all times when going to customers. Very helpful to be able to see how much driving time they have left when booking reloads. Customer service has been very quick in getting back to us when a problem arises. (which has only been a few times in the beginning). Cons Sometimes on two different screens it will have drivers at different locations. I guess it updated a little quicker on one computer. It is self-explanatory, very easy to just figure out what you need. You just log on to the website and it is easy to navigate. Cons In our smaller vehicles, it is easy for the driver to unplug the Gateway. The foot space is a lot smaller, which makes it easy to kick or get snagged. April 12, 2018 5.0 Pros The customer service guys, whom I have dealt with, are all top notch. I don't even have to email them. Many times they will just check in on me to see how I am doing with the software. The hardware is simple and easy to install. We did it ourselves. 20 minutes max per vehicle, rather than having to pay a "professional" installer like we did with the previous company that we hated. He tore up more than he installed. I have zero complaints about Samsara and would recommend the company to anybody. Cons There is not a thing about Samsara that I don't like, other than the fact that they are located on the other side of the country. It has been such a great tool in terms of tracking our vehicles and peace of mind knowing where they are. We had an incident where one vehicle went off trail and through thin ice int to the lake. We were able to locate it and use the trip log to prove that the user was off the official trails. Fast and simple replacement of the submerged tracking unit afterwards. Pros We did the free trial first and loved it so much we kept the units. Onboarding and setting up were super simple.
