It was not a terrible experience for a first time eld. However, it can be improved drastically.

Pros

It’s an FMCSA approved ELD. Therefore I can operate legally.

Cons

Connection is intermittent. The automatic duty status change does not work properly.

Pros

Very intuitive and great information for managing business. Can manage multiple trucks from anywhere.

Cons

No navigation for drivers. Would like to be able to text/communicate with drivers via the Samsara driver app.

Easy to use: the site shows you all the information you need to see of your trucks, drivers, routes and HOS

Cons

Phone support: when you need phone assistance you need a lot of patience, the wait time are higher!!

I have enjoyed the product during the trial period. I would like to continue using it. However, the phone number I have for a contact no longer works there. I still receive emails with his number in them. I am not really sure if I want to commit to working with Samsara or find another provider due to the inability to reach anyone when I have tried.

Pros

Ease of use. Ability to adjust each device as needed.

Cons

I have been pleased with the software.

Reason for choosing Samsara

This product fit my needs very well and the people I was working with seemed very helpful and eager to provide a great service and product. The after care once I was set up has been very disappointing and has made it hard for me to commit to this product/organization.

Terrible. Frustrating. Waste of time.

Pros

Looks like a good product. Forward thinking and easy to install.

Cons

Would give zero. Looks like an awesome product. Got the run around with their entry level sales folks who couldn’t answer questions on functionality and capability. Basically told that they “don’t make money on small fleets” and that I should “try it out myself”. Only concerned about the sale, not the customer.
