The company has been using Samsara for 3 plus years and I have been completely satisfied with everything.

Pros

Things that I most like about the Samsara ELD system is how friendly it is to use from admin and drivers perspective. The system is very accurate for the location of the truck. The alerts allow me to be anywhere and still know if a driver needs assistance. I would choose this system every time.

Cons

I don't believe I have any cons on the system, the automatic renewal issue would be my only problem that we had where it took a very long time to get corrected. Once it was fixed there were no other billing concerns.

### "Samsara - Easy Access Driver Compliance and Safety "

Overall my team and I have had a very positive experience with Samsara. This is a great management tool to ensure that my drivers are keeping safety as a top priority. I am always able to easily access driver locations, DVIR logs, maintenance issues, fuel efficiency and so much more. This tool enables me to have all the information in one place that I need to keep my team safe.

Pros

I like that Samsara is user friendly and easy to navigate from a managerial point of view. I am able to view the daily logs of DVIR’s to ensure that my entire staff is compliant. The email notifications when a driver on my team is out of compliance is useful because the leadership team is all aware as soon as possible.

Cons

I have noticed sometimes my team has issues with the timing on DVIR’s logs being inaccurate. This can be frustrating but is a rare occurrence.

Overall I have seen huge improvements of seat belt use and our cell phone use has declined almost nothing.

Pros

I like how easy it is to maneuver through the application. Communicating with our drivers has improved and showing them the video of their mistakes is undeniable.

Cons

I would like to see a pop up when I send videos to drivers. With the setup now the driver has to log in or out to be forced to review their coaching. If the driver doesn't log in and out they don't see the little red dot that says they have a notification. Getting drivers to log in and out everyday to a truck that they drive every day has proven to be a task in itself. I'd also like to see an audio alert for rolling stop signs.

We have been using Samsara for over 3 years. If I call support they get back to me quickly. They also send reminders if case is not close

Pros

Samsara does a lot of things for us. Keeps track of vehicles, drivers, provides video's when accidents occur & is easy to use.

Cons

Can only retrieve videos for 30 days. videos can only be retrieved if vehicle is on. If vehicle is hit during off hours we can not see what happened.

Overall, I'd rate is a 7/10. Great tracking capabilities and safety features. Poor load building for fuel hauling; and it's a pain in the @$$ to get anyone to respond in a timely manner if there's an issue.

Pros

I like the tracking capabilities, safety features, camera options, document keeping options, and mapping options.

Cons

Load building/planning. This feature is not so conducive to fuel haulers. Also, when needing to talk to someone or get help with something, it's damn near impossible.

Overall it is a good experience. It is a great tool to use with our trash business. This helps us out in so many ways.

Pros

It is easy to navigate, love the quality. It has great quality. I love the features of being able to stop and fast forward the videos.

Cons

It sometimes takes a long time for a video to load or it doesn't at all. This is frustrating but I did learn the truck must still be turned on.

Overall experience is very good easy to use, not so complex, truck, trailer and driver log management is very good, easy to make the payroll of drivers or employee. Customer support is also responsive, and software value for money.

Pros

Samsara is ease of use and easy for tracking trucks and trailers. We can track the exact location. Due to this we can give the accurate update to the broker.

Cons

Sometimes we face an issue in tracking, it takes time to track truck and trailer, due this it was time taking.

Samsara has been beneficial for our organization. I wish that I had more access to some of the tools that are available so that I can fully use the resources.

Pros

The dash cam has been very useful in accidents, especially when vehicles pull out in front of my drivers. Customer support so far has been great in getting back to me with answers to my questions.

Cons

The AI chat can be very annoying; it pops up way too often. I can see it opening one time to see if I need help, but after I close it, I don't want to see it and I know where to ask questions.

My experience so far has been so-so. Service up to the point of sale was very good but tailed off after we paid the roughly $50k. Set up was fairly simple. Alerts are about 75% accurate. The process of reviewing alerts is very confusing. Viewing and retrieving video footage is a chore. Viewing live video is very limited.

Pros

The sales presentation and support that we received up to the point of sale was very good. I find the quality of the dashcam video to be very good and the accuracy of alerts is pretty good.

Cons

The "30 day trial" is misleading. We ordered 23 units. By the time we received them and got them all installed we were left with about a week to learn and evaluate the system. Samsara is very expensive. The incident review/coaching process is very confusing.

Overall partnering with Samsara has been positive. They listen to the end user and all the different features currently developed and coming have had a positive affect on my company's operations.

Pros

The prompt response from the customer support team is a huge plus. When experiencing any issue, they make every attempt to work on a resolution, give you a timeline and if something cannot be resolved I'm not kept waiting.

Cons

As of recent it seems we have been bounced from one account manager to another which makes things confusing and at times slows things when we need fast action.

Pros

Samsara's customer service support staff were very knowledgeable and assisted with my issue over the phone. Together we were able to address and correct it.

Cons

Need to figure out the bugs with vehicle ECU units. We were able to go around the issue, but had to figure it out other ways.

Great experience so far! Haven’t had any regrets thus far. Customer service was a great help with any issues that was faced.

Pros

The most I like is the clarity of the videos and the easy access to view videos as well as customer support was splendid! The cost was price efficient too.

Cons

I haven’t found anything to dislike at this time. Everything was just what I expected and hopefully will be purchasing more equipment.

Great!! Save us many times over. We have had accident causes reversed through your front facing camera downloads

Pros

Ease of use. We have only tapped into maybe 25 % of what this program is capable of. It has saved us many times post accident

Cons

Sometimes helicopter mode glitches badly. Its easy to find incident but download speed could be better

It’s been great. It’s a lot of information and can do so much more than we even use in the program. Our Rep is very engaged and helpful.

Pros

Tracking and monitoring has increased our safety records. It has been in our favor with a collision that we were not at fault. Proof in the videos.

Cons

Originally the staff didn’t like “big brother”. But we have made it fun with a rewards program. We share with them what we see on camera and they are blown away at how many features we have at our finger tips. Also with our leasing company being able to see real time issues with our fleet.

For the most part Samsara is a good system, minus the DVIR portion. Mobile app is easy to understand.

Pros

Samsara is easy to use, tracking is realistic, training videos are easy to understand. Customer support is helpful and knowledgeable.

Cons

Having to restart the system in the cache and deleting, in order for it to run smoothly while doing DVIR's.

Pros

Great for keeping track of vehicles and monitoring excels,decels and idling as well as driver safetyness .

Sometimes I will have to cut my phone off and back on to recept the app when I click on individual driver to view activity

I like the ability to track the fleet and get alerts in real time. The ability to manage problems as the y happen is a plus.

there customer service is very good and helpful. Having cameras in the truck is helpful and has saved us many times. The portal is easy to use.

having issues lately since they changed up the portal. Its running very slow. Since they have gone AI portal is running very slow and crashes.

Overall we are satisfied with Samsara. Cost seems higher than the majority of telematics companies we are shopped with on a weekly basis. Reps are good and knowledgeable, but seem to change frequently.

Pros

Telematics technology is superior to the previous company we used. Camera installation is simple and the Samsara dashboard is easy to navigate.

Cons

Employee turn over seems high. We've been a customer for about a year and have had a few different reps. Surveys come out promising digital gift cards and they never seem to arrive.

I am the Safety DOT compliance manager for my drivers. I Interact mainly with the safety inbox. I enjoy the features given to me in Samsara.

Pros

I like the live real agent customer support tech. I have called in a few times with an HOS problem I have had with a few of our drivers and a live time real agent helped me with the problem. They even followed up in an email to see if my problem was fixed and asked if I needed anymore help with the issue or a new issue and encouraged me to call anytime, I feel like I needed help.

Cons

Somethings I am still learning as a new customer but so far, I see no cons with Samsara. I don't expect to find any cons.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this one deserved it. It’s simple, reliable, and doesn’t overcomplicate things. A couple of small issues here and there, but nothing that really affects daily use.

Pros

Didn’t expect much, but this turned out really good. The video quality is clear, setup was easy, and the tracking works smoothly. Definitely worth the money.

Cons

Night video could be a bit better. App/UI feels slightly basic at times. Tracking occasionally lags for a second.

The tracking is very accurate and easy to use. I really like the video and dash cam features because they help with driver safety and make it easy to review incidents. Overall, it adds a lot of value by keeping everything in one system.

Cons

The cost can be high, especially for smaller companies, and some features take a little time to learn at first.

Pros

Customer support is great and very responsive, always working to quickly resolve any issues. The product is easy to use and customizable, which helps it fit our operations well.

Cons

I do not have any complaints about Samsara. We have delt with other carriers in the past and had terrible experiences with them, so Samsara has been a great experience.
