High quality cameras and a high-quality program. Pros This software has been vital to the management of our company's fleet. From being able to keep track of the location of each asset and being able to monitor driver safety and safe driving habits. It also helps keep track of when each vehicle needs to be serviced, so we can make sure the fleet is healthy. Cons The customer service has not always been the easiest to deal with. It was very easy to get onboarded and set everything up. . I used a different company before, I can't remember the name, but this has way more functionality. Love it! Pros I like that you can make a suggestion and they will add it to the app. I also like the customer service, especially \[sensitive content hidden\] who is my direct contact. It's also very convenient that it can merge with Coast Gas Cards. It's easy to use and the cost is very good. I also like that it tells you if any alerts are on the car because it's easy to track for maintenance and overall wear and tear. Cons There's honestly nothing I don't like about Samsara. it's easy to use and very user friendly. It has way more features than a different company I used. Live tracking and reliable data. Pros Live, real time tracking. Live stream allows to to view drivers perspective. The samsara systems are user friendly. Easy to navigate through the website. Cons The tech support is less than you would expect when it comes to the scale of the product. When sending in a help ticket the tech support seems dismissive. Pros Samara has many beneficial features and the website is easy to use. I like how I can customize reports, track assets, manage drivers, etc., all in one platform. Cons Samsara uses verbiage inside the app that is unfamiliar to anyone learning to use the software, makes it hard to get started using the app. The labels for the tabs need to be named differently. It is also very helpful to verify drive time and see where and when the equipment is. Pros The ability to see where my equipment is for location purposes and safety issues. The video capabilities are useful when accidents happen to be able to clearly understand what happened. Whenever I submit a support ticket the response is quick and if it isn't resolved right away they stick with it until it is resolved. Pros I like the safety inbox and the safety scores and all of the focus around driving safely and the things that managers can do through the driver app to encourage and reward safe driving. Cons Certain things are slow to implement. For instance, when there's a "right turn keep moving" sign on a stop sign. Those appear in the safety inbox as violations but have to be manually dismissed. It helps us keep track off our drivers and provides ways to make them safer. Pros I like you are able to see lots of things that help with the job that we do. I like how it is user friendly! Cons not knowing what all samsara has to offer in what we do. i would love to have one on one training with someone. I feel it is very expensive, but i know it does alot and helps companies. We were even able to provide our video to prove not guilty in a car accident. Because we were able to show video facing in and out that showed we were not following too closely, were not on a phone or distracted it proved not our fault. Pros I like that I can see where all of our drivers at any given time, and that I get notified of issues that come up with the trucks. I like that when the engine light comes on, I get emailed the code that triggered the warning. It keeps our guys accountable Cons It seems the maps take some time to update. We get notified of speeding when we are not speeding. It seems to be easier to use on a computer or ipad instead of a cell phone. Review Source MH Michael H. It has been worked so well our equipment service department has picked up the use of using the AT11 and Gateways on our heavy equipment. Much better functionality that an AirTag. Pros Very Strong and active location device. The snail trail tracking is a great tool for us. I love how strong the network is on the Texas highways and has the full functionality even without a Samsara Gateway. Cons I wish the AT11 unit was smaller. April 16, 2025 5.0 Our overall experience has been very positive. Our sales rep and sales engineer have been extremely responsive and hard working with answer questions or figuring out ways to make our different use case work the way we need it. The products are showing us exactly what we needed as helping us become a safer company. Pros The safety aspects of utilizing the dash cam to exonerate our drivers or to speed up litigation. One not talked about benefit (if you want to call it that) is being able to know when you are at fault and saving multiple hours or days of litigation. Cons Samsara is a very well rounded product and it is hard to find a weak point. One thing we would like a better report on would be when a driver logs into the driver app and self-coaches vs logging in just to DVIR. As of now we require drivers to review self-coaching at least once a week. We have already seen ROI in the short time we've had Samsara. Using this software and service we have developed Safe Driver and Fuel Efficiency programs from the ground up that has seen incredible results. They give you all the tools and resources to be successful, and they do it in an easy to digest way. Pros Samsara is an incredibly versatile platform giving you a wide range of abilities. The amount of information you have access to using the telematic devices and the back end software is astounding. It gives you quantifiable data you can use to drive informed decisions. It is easy to use and learn, and anything you need to learn more about has a self guided training, live webinars, or your dedicated rep to help you with. Cons The only issue I have had was the changing of reps. We have been with Samsara a little over a year and have had three different reps. It is understandable, it seems they are generally moving on to other roles in the company. Each rep has been helpful though, so it is not a large hinderance. Emkay is very outdated and not user friendly. They also do not allow the customer to make changes to their own vehicles/accounts/reports. Samsara met more of our needs. Review Source LL Liam L. The customer service representatives are fantastic and have been very responsive when we have had past issue. Pros Very Easy Platform to Learn and Use. The Customer Support is excellent. The tracking is very accurate. There are very few bugs and issues, and it is a great value for the money. The performance and speed are very good, and the log management performance is very satisfactory. Cons The older equipment and the ability to take the updates are in question.
