Most of the feautures are very useful. I've never seen any errors or tracking down due to Samsara. Pros Real-time tracking and accuracy. There is no buffer when loading the tracking. The whole experience is fluid. Cons I didn't like that the satellite imagery and streets weren't like they are on Google maps etc. At the end of the day it doesn't effect the actual usage, just the experience. We recently switched our trailers from Skybitz to Samsara and the Samsara platform is a lot easier to use. The reporting capabilities are great and the real time tracking is really beneficial for our business. Pros I really enjoy the reporting capabilities, and the real time tracking of assets. The geofencing is very useful as well. Cons One con that i have with Samsara is that it is missing an API integration with our asset software (Dossier). I think if there was a connection between those two software programs, we could be better at managing our preventative maintenance. Whether navigating the dashboard, downloading videos, being able to search past content, look at live commutes, view the "harsh events", look at the Health Reports,... I could go on. It's terrific, but again it's the customer service that I am truly impressed with. Pros What I truly love most about Samsara is the customer service. Every time I call I get all my questions answered by a friendly person on the other side of the line. Cons Sometimes the system can get glitchy. For example if I am wanting to zero in on results in a specific timeframe I'm not always able to do so with refreshing the page and/ or retrying a few times. Review Source MW Mindy W. Everyday I go into a new section and try to learn something that will benefit the company. Pros easy access to trucks and trailers. Running monthly and quarterly reports very easy to get to. I also like the message center Cons the driver app and some of its qliche. Trying to sign out and go off duty is a pain. My drivers usually end up having to do post trip twice. It puts the customer at ease when I can pinpoint exactly how close my employees are to the job site. Pros It is a good value for the money. I wish the cameras updated more often. I like being able to track my vehicles and get notified when they have harsh turns and stops. Cons The cameras not updating more often. I'd like to be able to see my drivers more often. The applications makes dispatching easy as well as helping with logistics Pros Samsara has been a great asset in managing the drivers/fleet. it is easy to use and customer support is quick to reply with helpful and supportive information. It is easy to see all the information on a phone or a computer. Pros I like how user-friendly it is, and how you can track a bus anywhere it goes. I have also enjoyed the fact that there are no bugs or issues with the system. It is a good value for the money. The log management is excellent. I know how fast buses are going and how they are running. The diagnostic feature is outstanding.. Cons They are great! No issues. Therefore many of the features are of no use to us. But I love that Samsara listens to my suggestions and have incorporated one. Pros Customer service is the best. Rapid responses to questions and step by step guides to help through the tough stops. Love the new DVIR 2.0. It is simple, easy to use, and intuitive for the user. Love the way it tracks and monitors the vehicles. Everything is in real time. Cons The dash cameras shut off after 24 hours. Some of our vehicle are special use but are parked in the yard. Pros I really like how we can keep track of our assists and locations. The safety in box has made a world of difference and because of it our safety has improved greatly. The Maintenace section helps us keep better track of the cost per truck to run them. Cons Still trying to figure out the fuel report because we use a bulk fuel tank at our location. \[sensitive content hidden\] set us up a workflow on drivers showing the amount of fuel they are putting in the truck just trying to figure out how to pull the report by tags. \[sensitive content hidden\] is working with the IT team to figure it out for us. Their technicians have quick response, are always polite and professional. Even with the updates I am still able to navigate not only the dashboard, but the Fleet app as well. Pros I am still a huge fan of the safety inbox and real time alerts as well as the cameras. We have now used footage to dispute damage claims and com out victorious. I am looking forward to the newer features that are coming out. Cons I least like the self-coaching feature. The safety department I am in is small, and we review footage daily, but do not have the time to coach each driver. I wish that the self-coaching feature would not allow the driver to skip the assigned lessons. Pros Samsara has been very easy to deal with and always warm and welcoming when answering our calls. They help dumb things done for this old guy. lol Cons Unfortunately, the VG/Camera system did not trigger an alert that we were involved in a crash. It was a one-off because the impact was not significant enough to trigger an alert. It is a bit on the expensive side, but they continuedly roll out new and helpful upgrades that improve our experience an bring value to the product. Pros The system runs smooth and rarely is down. Customer service is prompt and doesn't take a bunch of hoops to jump through to get hardware replaced when it malfunctions. Cons We did have some billing issues but it was because of the way we as a company set it up and it was difficult to split up. Currently working on that now to make it easier for out accounting. Pros The organization of having everything in one place and that it links to our other systems, and that there are training videos and helpful tools when you need them. Cons When trying to look into having safety videos i contacted support and they said i needed to contact sales manager for our account about being able to use the driver training safety videos and we closed the ticket i reached out to who they told me and haven't had a response since.
