The gateway cable ordering process could definitely be revamped. Pros Installation software is very user friendly, tracking is immediate, and maintenance scheduling is very helpful. Cons Some of the equipment connection cables are only available on a vehicle gateway instead of an asset gateway, which is more expensive. Pros I like the most the fact that the app can monitor our fleet in real time, give us alerts, and integrate very smooth with our other software for fleet management. I also like as a new feature the AI assistant which you can use to ask any question about any unit from your fleet and you can receive real-time data as an answer to your specific question, it also has the function to generate efficiency reports. Cons What I dislike the least is that, although it is a good thing, but the map being extremely detailed can cause the app to run slowly on some computers, and there is no option that I am aware of to change the resolution of the map, this is more of a performance issue, as the map being extremely detailed is a good thing for our dispatchers and safety department. Pros I like that the layout, colors and different sections are very intuitive and appealing, which facilitates training of new people and autonomous discovery of tools. Cons The routing feature sometimes doesn't synchronize the dates accurately and when adding billing charges to driver's pay sometimes there's a bug where they get duplicated automatically and even after deleting these duplicates they keep showing up until after a while. We have fixed this by leaving the load alone sometime and it fixes on its own or we manually have to do it the days after. Other than the above mentioned upgrades that frankly confuse the clutter the screen and my managers. Pros I use it most for accessibility to current images and video for incident review and dispatch. Locating and documenting different situations and with stills or video, putting an end to speculation. Cons cost (I know it is a great system but the budget is always a concern) and frankly, all the continual updates and add ons. I really just need the base system on a dashboard that doesn't change... ever. Managers regularly call me asking how to find something they once could locate easily. Could you perhaps provide a "Classic" version or button that just leaves well enough alone? Actually that isn't correct... how about leaves GREAT alone? I appreciate having access to real time truck tracking. Customer support is speedy and always willing to help. Pros very easy to use! Driver safety and coaching is a big benefit being able to monitor driver safety scores. real time visibility helps keep track of drivers & monitors our routes. Those are my top favorite things. Cons integration with our dispatch system. Seems like codes that we have to use for Honda don't always transfer correctly and the same goes for trailer #'s. also seems Samsara has a lot of screens. Sometimes it is hard to find driver scores, reviewing events, etc. I'd rather have important info at a glance. Pros The ability to check a drivers location at the click of a button, and that it gives you an estimated completion time on their routes. Cons Nothing that I can think of that another program does better than Samsara. This is one of the best we have used.
