And some sort of winery software feels essential these days just for keeping track of what wine is where and what has been done with it all in one place. Overall Process2Wine has served a valuable role for our winery, and its flaws, though frustrating at times, are secondary to what it does well. Pros Process2wine does a good job at the core features of allowing you to track and record every movement and addition made to your wines. It is also very flexible and can be shaped by the team to meet whatever your particular need may be, and allows the user more freedom and fewer guardrails than other winery software i have used, both for better and for worse, as you can dig yourself into serious holes if you aren't careful. The crosstab reporting feature is a very helpful tool to gather data that is held in disparate places across the system all together in ways that are convenient and revealing, both for winery and inventory purposes. Customer support is also helpful and responsive if you have a question. Cons Process2Wine is a sprawling, and at times unwieldy, attempt to provide software for absolutely every aspect of your winery and vineyard. It is un-intuitive and takes time to puzzle out what each menu or section is meant to do and how you best make use of it, particularly as someone who was not involved in its installation at our site and was simply dropped into the system. Several functions are overlapping or circular in ways that can be confusing. P2W has an inconsistent build and design with newer implemented portions looking and functioning very different from sections of the site that were designed earlier. This inconsistency is especially evident as you go into more niche and obtuse corners of the program. I have found sections still not translated from French, sections I can access but perform no function. For a few years all our bin weights had to be recorded in kilograms because the pounds unit was broken. I have felt at times that I am badgering them to make the software work. Some of this may be from my company's install being less ambitious than what i am asking the software to do, but there is a lack of polish that is frustrating. My sense is that Process2wine has vestigial limbs from its growth and that in trying to provide everything for everyone they do not always have the time or energy to make sure all the pieces are in sync and up to date, especially if you start digging down deeper into the software or change from how it was set up. I was managing 1000ha in the South of France and it was the best solution for my point of view. I could prepare my questionnaire in advance and when I was visiting each parcelles I just had to click and fill it. Traceability is one of the main task now, and this software will helps you everyday from the vineyard to the bottling point. Pros The product is easy to use and the formation helped a lot to understand most of the aspects. The team is always available , very keen to answers your questions while you are working with the software. They are very professional and are ready to listen to any suggestions for improvement. I used couple of different software in the past but they were made for "general agriculture" including the winery. The problem was obvious; they were not suitable for a proper vineyard/winery management. With process2wine, you are talking about a common subject "winemaking or vineyard management" because most of them have this background and moreover this software was entirely design for this industry. I have found customer support to be quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Pros I find Process 2 Wine valuable for it's ability to manage winery and winemaking data at an affordable cost. Cons The learning curve for entering data has been a little steep, but I'm gaining confidence the more I use the program. This is our first database so I expected that though, and I am a bit on the fussy side when it comes to organization. Once I had everything entered it became so much easier to do everything. It is quite easy to use once setup. Our company is a little unusual compared to other wineries. Poor \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] often had to get a bit creative to accommodate us, but they were always able to find a solution for our quirks. Even today anytime I have a question they are always quick to respond so I can move forward with my work. Pros I have been quite pleased with the product overall. I am to get all the information that I need with a few clicks. I used to track all of our blending percentages by hand so this software has been a blessing. Cons I wish I could print Bill of Ladings directly from the program but I understand that this is something they may offer in the future. We also have continued to use our old work orders in tandem with Process2Wine because the print outs don't work very well for us, but we are happy with the setup. It still works well for us. Reasons for choosing Process2Wine Overall Process2Wine gave me everything that the other software companies offered at a fraction of the cost. It might not have quite as appealing of a user interface as other products, but it is a workhorse and that is what I need : -) After reviewing several other companies I felt this was the best option for us and the price made it easy to pitch to the owner. Le suivie et le service client est irréprochable, pour la moindre question nous avons toujours eu une réponse presque immédiate. D’une très grande polyvalence nous avons très vite adopté le logiciel.
