Pros: The ability to scan and send to different managers and the ability to change who it is assigned to.

Cons: To hard to move from one screen to the next. It would be great if you could approve/finish in batches.

Pros: This software handles all of our forms and check printing needs. It is all customizable and easy to change a form or check when necessary. However, the thing I like the most is the customer support. They are great to work with, professional and very knowledgeable.

Cons: Well, I really have to search for an answer to this but I guess I'd have to answer that if you are not trained on the system (I know bits and pieces, but I am not the administrator) it's not entirely intuitive when you have a problem with having to re-print something or you're having trouble with a printer. It always seems to be that whenever the Administrator who knows the system like the back of his hand, is out on vacation; there's a problem with a printer jam or hardware issue and I have to figure out what to do to recover the printing of a form or a check run. However, that being said, their customer support is always ready to help when you need it.

Overall: We save on having to have pre-printed checks and forms.

Pros: The support team is working hard to make there product better to be more efficient for us which is extremely important for this to be successful

Cons: How the featureless the original configuration was. Billing for renewal before actual production use of product did not make sense.

The software is very time consuming on the AP side of things.

Pros: The approval process is much faster than the prior manual approval process. There is an audit log for approvals. I also like that it links the invoices to MAS so users can view invoices directly from MAS. This will improve archiving and pulling information for audit purposes.

Cons: There are so many different softwares and steps to use on the AP side of things. Also, setting up approvers is very cumbersome.

It is easier to use. Self explanatory.

Pros: It is easy to use. Lots of extras that I was not aware of. Easy to access different options. Easy to navigate through it.

Cons: It is very slow clicking from one checkbook to another. I believe it is because it needs to be purged and the information stored. It takes a least about a minute to change checkbooks.

Overall: Easier to use and navigate through it. Enjoy using it.

ACOM has always been an easy answer for our complicated questions.

Pros: Software is very easy to use, lots of set-it and forget-it features that make our lives simple and convenient. Support is filled with experts who truly understand their software and resolve any challenges immediately.

Cons: It tends to be a bit pricey but sometimes you get what you pay for. And for the importance of this software within our organization, we need a stable and dependable product.

This has been a long process. We have had to have several changes to make the program work for us.

Pros: With having 2 offices and being 2 hours apart this software has helped with the amount of invoices that we have to mail back and forth or email back and forth to get approvals. It is nice that invoices are now available to easily access for approvers even after the invoices have been paid. The software has helped cut down on the amount of paper we use and the amount of printing we have to do. One of the customer rep has been great, anytime we have needed something he has been readily available and if he was not going to be available, he made sure to let us know.

Cons: For the entire process to work, there are several pieces of software that our ap clerks have to access which causes a lot of confusion. There are a TON of steps and they have complained about the number of clicks they have to do to complete an invoice. I feel like there are several normal accounting practices that we had to have, the customer rep change the program to make work for. We have had to have about 4 different workflows created since the beginning, it doesn't seem to be an easy way to make changes to the workflows. Sometimes I feel like we will never be independent with this software, although it has been getting better. Our approvers have also complained about the number of clicks they have to see all the pieces (PO, invoice, and packing slip) we had to have a custom button/view built so that approvers only have to click on the button and see all the pieces, which they now love. This should be standard! I feel as if this software would be better suited for a smaller company, the Iowa Select has too many invoices and too many approvers for what this software was originally designed. I would have given more stars if the program started out what it is now after we had the customer rep make all the changes.

Pros: I use EzDocs, EzPaymanager, and EzPro Designer and I like how, well - supportive support is when I have questions and I also like the ease of use. The upgrades from the site are explained well in the upgrade docs available there, and the green screen software version is intuitive - easy to learn and use. It works for all the various spooled file conversion I use it on - and the documentation is very helpful.

Overall: We get nice overlays for spooled files that can be customized to look very professional.

It has been straight forward and easy to use since I started using it.

Pros: When first starting, I used the help menu a lot and it was very nice to have the pictures along with the description.

Cons: I don't like that it won't open the older file types (not backward compatible) and won't allow side by side installation of older software.

Overall: It is something that we have always used with our AS400, so it is beneficial that we can maintain our current system with minimal upgrade effort

Pros: It is easy to use, easy to set up, and extremely easy to support. I upgraded our ACOM software to Version 10.0.00 myself. It did not take long and I had no problems. I worked with ACOM to replace our two card readers with USB readers. It took no time at all. I also worked with ACOM when our company logo changed. We went back and forth a few times, but in the end it was exactly how we wanted it.

Overall: Easy to use, easy to set up, and extremely easy to support.

It started out as a good product but has become better and better with the last few upgrades.

Pros: I like the ability to create and review checks with ease. The process of having ACOM make logo and signature modifications to our checks has become faster and more efficient with the latest upgrades, which is important with a company of our size . The Positive Pay module is great, as it has enabled us to reduce the risk of fraud at the bank.

Cons: The only con that I had, which has now been resolved with the latest upgrade, was the long response time it took when performing tasks, especially editing a checkbook. We're happy campers now.

Overall: Being able to create checks immediately to replace lost checks from our weekly payroll process and requests from Human Resources.

Pros: After installation it is easy to administer and use. Adding our own graphics to the forms helps associate the client to the company.

Cons: It was hard to install and configure but once that was done there hasn't been an issue since that time.

Pros: Relatively easy to use and works as intended for indexing and retrieving documents. Ismael has been very good at support when needed.

Cons: Lack of compatibility with other browsers. Constant issues with Java versions.

Overall: Eliminates need to store and retrieve paper documents. Multiple people can access the documents easily.

We have used the ACOM suite of products for many years. We depend have had a great experience.

Pros: The Acom software is very reliable and robust. We can always count on the product seamlessly working to reliably produce our forms.

Cons: The only thing that can be updated is the interface. Currently it is text based and an option to have a web based solution would be nice.

Pros: Designing forms and it is very easy to start and stop auto merges, create groups and also easy to create distribution lists. Troy corporation is heavily using ACOM and appreciates ACOM support team. I never had any issue with the software except periodic license updates. I recommend this software to each and every organization that are big time into using forms.

Pros: The software is easy to use, it is a fast and efficient way to print checks. We recently changed our bank, and Natasha Swinton helped us with the new requirements and format set up. The process was made smooth because of her endless patience.

Pros: It just works! We never have to worry about system errors or other issues that may cause downtimes. Reliability is paramount in our business.

Cons: Nothing that stands out really. Maybe a few more notification features, but other than that, I have no recommendations.

Pros: The EZDesigner interface makes forms design simple but the product also allows me to use the original green screen interface to manage quick form edits. The product is very full featured and integrates easily with my OS400 based applications. I've had trouble creating very specialized functions on a few of my forms but the support staff has always quickly assisted me in finding a solution to fit my needs.

Cons: I've used other forms design packages in the past and I can honestly say that there aren't many cons. The address book maintenance functions seem to be green screen only and are a little clunky. Some of the other special function setup is also green screen only.

Overall: Easily the best forms package for the IBMI I've used. Simple form design and management with enough power to handle a lot of specialized tasks.

Pros: We have been using Acom software since 2006 for payroll and finance checks, PO's, employee contracts, W2's, and 1099's. Since most of these forms only change occasionally, we are not required to use the software on a regular basis. Even so, the GUI designer is easy enough to use that there is no "re-learning" curve.

Earlier this year we bought the EzEmail product to begin emailing purchase orders to vendors instead of mailing hard copies. Our process is a bit complex, but Acom's support folks were readily available and helped us make the necessary modifications. We have experienced almost zero issues since we went live, way less issues than I expected.

Cons: My biggest complaint: When first installed, we were charged a single annual maintenance fee even though we had the software installed on our test and production machines. At some point several years ago, Acom began charging the fee for each installed partition. To avoid the double fee, we removed the software from our test box. I realize that this is probably pretty standard, but it makes it a hassle when we want to test a change to a form as we are now required to obtain a temporary license from Acom to use the software on our test box.

Regarding actually using the software, what I like least is the inherit cryptic commands when using it on the iSeries. Our most recent experience was with the EzEmail product, and setting up the conditions for emailing our PO's was quite challenging. Although I have detailed notes and screen shots, any modifications to the conditions will again be challenging.

We use ACOM products for file storage/sharing and accounting.

Pros: Customer Support is great. The software is user friendly and easy to manage. I like that we were able to upgrade for no cost when we went from EZ Pay Manager to EZ Pay Suite.

Cons: They are a couple bugs in EZPay Manager that have not been resolved yet. We are not able to remove a user that was once employed. The email functionality does not always work correctly.

Overall: Fair Price, easy use.

The software works well. Support is good.

Cons: We did not purchase the PC client to design forms. Designing forms and labels in green screen, while not difficult, consumes more time than is optimal.

Pros: EZ Designer Pro is It is very visual and easy to use. It allows you to bring in Images so I can add the logo easily. Easy to align fields and has a ruler to help guide you. You can easily see what you have included in your form the spool since it is highlighted in another color.

Cons: On our system at times it can take awhile to retrieve and save the form but that may be because our system is so large.

Overall: Forms are very easy to create. We use this over our hotel and casino system. Great job! Support is awesome. They always are very helpful and get back to you quickly. That is very important. We have some products where support never gets back to us.

We use the Acom EZ Designer and EZ forms for the iseries. Customer service from Acom ROCKS.

Pros: It is much easier to use than the older version. Can whip out a new pack slip or update invoices or purchase orders quickly. I love your customer service - I've never had to wait more than an hour or so for a response for even the most minor of issues. Wish all my 3rd party software vendors were as responsive.

Cons: Can't add multiple lines of text without making a new line: So if, for example, I wanted to have text in a square box of 5x5 the text doesn't wrap (at least I haven't found an easy way). I need to make multiple lines to fit inside the box.

Overall: Ease of making new forms, especially pack slips which are customized for our customers.

Ties in very well with Emailing Programs it ahs been fantastic

Pros: Easy to use. Easy to create new forms. The graphical forms are easy to tie into our core programs.
We can set it up to run from a file data or pull from Spoolfiles.

Cons: You need to buy an entire developers package to get the Image Upload tool. We don't use the PC driven developers tool but we need to upload Logo's and other images.

Overall: Took us from sending out bland paper work to very nice graphical attachments to faxes or Emails.

Acom software is reliable and flexible. Their support is by far the best of any vendor.

Pros: Allows us to process all of our forms and send them out via fax, email, or print. We process all of our forms, checks, invoices, BOL's, etc. through ACOM. We also have EZCM which allows us to archive any of the forms that we need for later review.

Cons: I wish that we could develope our own forms or make modifications to them without need to contact support. Since we work with XML's we have to pay for every change if we add any new field to the XML.

Overall: Easy simple to use software that allowed us to email our forms to our customers.

Pros: Our users needed just one time training. No questions asked after that. Smooth upgrade. Stable and reliable software

Cons: When users leave the company, we don't have an option to deactivate their license and install the client on the new user's laptop. we are contacting ACOM support to de active it.

Overall: Check Printing made easy. There are lot other features in this software but for now we are using it for Check printing

ACOM is nice for reformatting spooled files.

Pros: Nice for reformatting spooled files and emailing the PDF output. Once a form is setup it is fairly easy to make minor changes.

Cons: Difficult to keep all forms in sync when making changes. It would be better if we didn't need to make separate forms for each email recipient.

Overall: Ability to change spooled file format and email in PDF.

Ever since we acquired ACOM we have not had any serious problems

Pros: What we like the most about this software is that it is user friendly and it is rare for us to have any problems. We use this for purchase orders and all checks.

Cons: We reprint checks, however this my be due to the proprietary software that is used in conjunction with ACOM

Pros: The software was very configurable which gave us a lot of flexibility to to meet the business requirements. Setup and overall security was very easy from an administration standpoint. User found the system easy to navigate and work with with a relatively short learning curve.

Cons: Are only issue was determining how to meet are segregation of duties requirement by limiting menu options. The software was designed to allow the same person to both manage the checkbook/user list and also authorize the ACH transaction. This was not possible in our environment so we worked with ACOM on a solution.

Overall: Quick implementation of ACH which was a driving requirement from our Corporate parent. Easy implementation and usage.

Pros: It's trouble-free for me as the administrator for the most part. I have found their support to be top-notch, always getting a very fast response and satisfactory resolution by their experienced techs.

Cons: I'm hard pressed to think of something I don't like, other than the unavoidable dealing with the manipulations of various items on a form which are a part of any layout and design software

Pros: Has all features you would need to print a check with or without a stub. We use it to print checks with different accounts and banks.

Cons: We don't have the GUI designer, that's why I gave 4 stars for ease of use. With the GUI designer (which I have seen demos of) it would be 5 stars.

Overall: Check printing automation and flexibility. Don't have to change paper stock. Laser print multiple accounts on check paper stock. Prints entire check with boxes, magnetic inc MICR etc. no pre printed stock needed.

Pros: ACOM is a straightforward and efficient application to use for all aspects of customer payments using both checks and EFT. It works very well with our Infor ERP system, letting us easily remap the system generated spool files to generate AP payments.

Cons: Some functions such as ACH and CPA (Canadian banks) have their features buried several menus deep which can make it challenging for the user to find

Great Product, but a little cumbersome to use with the AS400. Great product support helps greatly!

Pros: Ease of use, Once the initial learning curve has been reached, the software is really easy to adapt. Product support is great to help! The software works well as a form print over AS400 print files.

Cons: A bit of a learning curve initially when used with the AS400 iSeries. There is not a lot of documentation online, but our customer service representative when out of his way to help.

Overall: Ease of use in creating forms and great product support learning the software.

Pros: Our users who process checks like the shortcuts on top of the interface for processing &/or reprinting checks.

Cons: Less steps to get to the step of printing the checks.

Default the most recent dated batch of checks to the top of the list.

It seems to take a long time for the application to open and initialize.

We had a situation where the user intended to reset one check to reprint, but accidentally reset the batch. An option to set the batch back to processed would be helpful.

We have had a good experience.

Pros: Easily converts our splf to ACH and checks.
Can print manual checks and blank checks as needed.
Just discovered we can query Acom for manual checks to ensure we enter them in our system.

Cons: Support isn't always timely. Changes are not always timely as NACHA changes. Seems you are trying to move folks to your bill paying service and that is your only focus. Doubtful we will every go there.

Overall: Less check printing. Easily create an ACH file.

Very Good Product and Software.

Pros: Ease of use and reliability - the product is crucial to our shipping product and reliability is important.

Cons: Lack of Better GUI Interfaces. It is hard to maintain old Labels as I have to make changes in the old green screen.

Overall: Proper Shipping to our customers as they require their own label.

Pros: The fact that there is an audit trail of an invoice. It provides accountability for both A/P employees and Approvers. While usually very timely some custom programing is available. Works well for basic document storage

Cons: In our situation it only works for basic A/P functions - does not accommodate Purchase orders, optional fields (without custom programing) and other typical A/P Functions in our software. No Reporting capability without custom development. Not fully integrated Accounting Software. Approval process is too time consuming. Custom programing is limited or not welcomed - I have provided a lot of feedback over the years on features that would streamline process without any progress.
Needs a lot of updating to user functions to streamline the approval process. Upgrades are not clean and leaves old version invoices inaccessible/non-editable or not available without logging into older versions. Customer support can be slow to respond at times.

Overall: Easy access to paid invoices, Accountability, Audit Trail,

The application is working great for us. It allows us to enforce/track our AP approval workflow

Pros: Allows us to easily enforce our AP invoice approval workflow. It's easy to change when approver employees are replaced and it can easily be customized to meet our approval requirements, even at the GL account level. Product support is excellent. Very responsive.

Cons: It takes some time to become familiar with the administrative and troubleshooting side of the product. However, ACOM provides excellent support and gets back to us quickly for assistance.

Overall: Saves staff time for processing AP invoices for payment. Ensures/enforces that approval workflow is being followed. Support for the product has been over the top.

Software works as advertised and tech support is great.

Pros: Anytime I have a question, concern or issue their tech support is not afraid to spend hours with me if needed to satisfy my needs. They go beyond what most tech support is willing to do.

Cons: It doesn't do everything we need - would be nice if it handled converting spool files to excel format.

Pros: Simple interface; yet powerful for most end users. Single sign on through Sage makes it less to manage as well.

Cons: Could use a more modern/updated face lift for the front end GUI that the end users. Would like to see an easy way to import things in bulk - without having to add through the front end GUI in order to associate it to a sales order.

Overall: I don't use it daily - but from what I hear it's flexible in the sense you can use it from our ERP, or we can use the standard web based front end without having to go through the ERP. Additionally it's very straight forward - and requires very little training during on-boarding.

We have been using ACOM for over 10 years and have been pleased with both the product and support.

Pros: The biggest pro is that the product is very easy to use and most functions can be started using the documentation. When there are issues, the support staff have been great to work with. I also love the flexibility to move information around when needed. We are a multi-bank company and sometimes the information received from our core system is different from bank to bank. Acom allows us to compensate for those differences so the customer is getting the same finished product regardless of which bank they deal with. We also have used the check printing software and hardware that has made getting checks printed and sent out to customers very easily and also use the email feature for some of our documents helping us reduce printing costs. All products have been great and easy to use.

Cons: I have had some issues with the EZ designer product. At times when i edit an existing form and send back to the AS400, it puts extra spaces between some of the words.

Overall: Time saved using the automated parts of the software and money saved as well when using the email function to send reports to customers.

Pros: The support that I received from Mike Mashburn was fantastic. We wouldn't have purchased the product without his guidance.

Cons: The ez Designer, which is fantastic, could have a few features more (ie. select and change multiple fonts).

Also, I had issues with the shading of boxes. Rather than appearing smooth it was more granular.

Overall: We have gained the ability to better customize our forms for the diverse body of clients that we serve.

We are using the ACOM EZconnect, it works well

Pros: The fact it runs without human intervention and the software works as designed.
We get 5010-837 files on a daily basis from CMS and the software automatically uploads the files
to the iSeries based on when it processes.

Cons: The maps are complicated, we let ACOM do the map modifications. We get 5010-837 files on a daily basis from CMS, when a change is required we engage ACOM to make the modifications as necessary.

Overall: Easy to use.

Mediocre, unintuitive software (EZPaySuite). Great support (if you find the right person).

Pros: The EZPAY software is easy to use and needs every little technical knowledge. Its easily configurable to meet your needs.

Cons: I see the DB connection and the server connection gets lost every now and then and I have to restart the server once every 3-4 days to get the connection back.

Pros: Software allowed you to designed your own form to map to produce any type of document, and able to create a PDF to email or fax to customers, which reduce cost of printing document then mail out.

Cons: At our company, we are only able to produce document in back and white including images and logos when using software after merging. Not sure that we are able to create form to merge to produce images and logos in colors.

Overall: As a AS/400 programmer, I am able to created programs to embedded merge commands to produce document like invoices then email or fax to customers

Pros: It has saved us a lot of time and effort. We really like your support staff and they are great to work with.

Cons: There is a limitation with email addresses. With have a challenge with our larger vendors getting their addresses entered.

Pros: The cost is probably the biggest Pro. We also like the ease of use, but in the setup and in the document retrieval.

Cons: As we've added additional documents to load, we've run into some issues with the current Import Utility. You switched us over to use ReadSoft, but when we have issues with that, there doesn't seem to be much support for that product. We now are using both ReadSoft and the Import Utility to get all of our documents in to load. We also run into issues with the software from time to time where the import utility seams to just stop working. We are currently working with Tech Support on that. You can end the service and start it again, and it still doesn't import.
So the two cons would be the need for two different import utilities, and just the overall reliability of the import utilities.

Overall: I low cost solution for our document management.

If work with Zachary Pitts a couple of times and everytime he has been very helpful.

Pros: We use only the forms product and it has worked from day one with no issues even after Zachary did the upgrade everything worked fine from the start.

Cons: No much here to say. It works great for us. Like I said with the Pros these has work since we install it and it has not given us any problems. Zachary is always very helpful when I reach out to him and get a quick response. So I would recommend this product to others which I have done several times. Maybe in the future we may look to use some of the other features that ACOM offers, but for now this has been the best .

It is easy to use. It helps pay our vendors on time.

Pros: I like that it saves us some money on toner, checks, envelopes and postage. I like that we are able to pay our vendors within a couple of days with the ACH.

Cons: I do not like that we cannot change the attachment name to something like the check number. We also cannot put any additional messages in the body of the email. And we can only use one email address per vendor.

Pros: We have been an ACOM Solutions customer for almost 15 years. The software is easy to configure and use, especially with their newly improved EZDesigner Pro GUI software for Windows. The designer is intuitive and easy to learn. We are able to design forms and invoices quickly since the designer is WYSIWYG. (what you see is what you get).

We use dozens of forms here at our company and we use ACOM's EzEmail module to deliver over 3,000 emails a day to our customers. These emails contain order acknowledgements and invoices at shipping time to keep our customers updated during the order fulfillment life cycle. We were able to deploy these functions in EzEmail in just a few hours.

Cons: The only complaint I can come up with is, I wish there was a better search function when working with emails. On rare occasions, someone will need an email resent and it's difficult to find the original email to queue up for resend. It would be handy to be able to search for wildcards in the subjects of the email.

ACOM releases patches and enhancements to their software frequently, so I am hoping improved searching will be coming out in the near future.

Otherwise I can't think of anything else negative to say about EzEmail and all of their other modules.

ACOM has been really easy to learn and set up. Customer service is amazing too.

Pros: IT's a set and forget software. Once it's properly installed and set up you won't have to worry about it at all. It's hardly an issue, and if there's one is usually really simple to fix.

Cons: Check print configuration has to be done manually, so it can take a few tries before getting it right.

This product brought our organization from the stone age of dot matrix printing to the 21st century.

Pros: The end result of our very professional and customized forms. Prior to ACOM we were still printing using dot matrix (pre-printed) forms.

Cons: Required assistance to get started (not a big deal). The amount of time required (rare) when an outque has to be restarted. Currently this can be as long as 5 minutes. For us it's usually overnight and does not attract much attention.

Overall: Clean, professional, and customized forms. Our company has done many things to stay up to date and this played a major part.

Pros: Reliable. In small shops, the best software is the one where you set it up and forget about it. It just keeps working without the need for being maitenanced. Acom does just that. When the time comes to ask a question, response time is typically well within 30 minutes. Tech support has always been courteous and very knowledgeable.

Cons: Can't say I have any dislikes. I would like to do more with the overlays but there just isn't enough time in my day to get into it.

Overall: More professional presentation of invoices and A/P checks.

Cons: I don't know if it is really a con about YOUR software but in order to keep your software an dour ERP system in sync it is quite cumbersome and lengthy

Overall: We were able to move approximately half of our weekly vendor payments to electronic payments. (ACH and VCARD)

Pros: I like that the software is customizable to our unique environment. We encountered some issues in the beginning. I like that we are able to contact the same person that helped us implement the software from the beginning for any issues that may come up.

Cons: I wish the software can be accessed over the web. I feel it can also
use some more reporting feature. the initial training does not seem to be as user friendly but after sometime I guess it was just a matter getting accustomed to.

ACOM software is a workhorse. We've used it day in and day out for almost 20 years.

Pros: The functionality of the product. The ease of doing an upgrade. Once everything is set up, this product runs like a well oiled machine. Is very easy to create a new form/outq/printer and put into operation within 15 mins.

Cons: The limited list of new printers available. That is a try one until you get the results you need. Have found out that the HP9000 is best for the Toshibas that I have set up.

Overall: Biggest benefit is to be able to provide the company with a new form in a very short time.

Software works great and is easily adaptable to our uses.

Pros: Functions easily and has some great built-in security features. Serves our purposes and allows us to adapt new processes quickly.

Cons: Would like to see a native WUI interface. I've created some basic web based reprint capabilities to allow users to reprint when necessary. Working on some enhancements to it to eliminate the need for engaging higher level support personnel, while incorporating our internal approval processes.

Pros: I like how we have control of exactly where we want data from files to populate on the form. The ability to provide speedy results to any changes that may be needed. The customer support team is wonderful in helping find solutions in a quick time frame. Always courteous and professional.

Cons: Working in ACOM forms, it's hard to determine where on the document the fields will fill as across, down and length don't seem to have a correlation to inches or metric connotations. EZDocs on the PC is much better in placing exactly where we want fields. Usually have to do a bit of both to make the final form.

Working with ACOM has been great - software could use some updates to the UI to help with ease ofuse

Pros: That I can have invoices routed to managers for approval. All documents stored in one place.

Cons: The workflow updates. It is impossible for me to self manage our workflow with out getting someone involved from ACOM. It takes a long time to set up a work flow and if we have changes to budgetary approvals - a workflow needs to be changed and most of the time it is not just switching a person - but changing the workflow all together. Would also like it to be easier to upload items into the correct folders. There are many steps that have to be made to upload.

Also - on the Process Flow page it would be nice to have more info about the invoice - IE. PO number, value, general description. This would aid approvers in the process and help expedite there approvals.

Cons: Ease of use is lacking. The basics are OK, but very Web 1.0. Interface needs to modernize, search needs to be MUCH easier. Lacks a lot of polish.

Overall: quit filing and storing and matching documents. getting mid level managers involved in invoice approval

Pros: I like that, from an AP perspective, I can view my invoices from anywhere and I don't have to have the invoices in front of me. I like the search feature when coding invoices as well as when searching for specific invoices.

Cons: It took us some time to figure out the search feature when looking for invoices. When entering AP invoices with multiple lines of GL code, it takes the system time to process and actually makes entering invoices a longer process.

Overall: All of our invoices, and contracts are in one place. It makes it easier to search for them.

Pros: This software is very user friendly. There is an ease in maneuvering the system. The approval process for submitting invoices is great.

Cons: The only negative is that attachments in another software that is imported from ACOM only has a viewing span of 5 years. When doing research for extended history, the attachments are not available.

Pros: Your customer service department is one of my favorite to call. They take their time to answer all of my questions. They have never made me feel like the questions I have are wasting their time. Thanks you. The software is fairly simple to use forms are easy to create. EzDesigner Pro does a great job of duplicating what is printed and works well.

Cons: My biggest complaint would be when I was required to buy EZDesigner Pro while paying maintenance on the previous version. I think that should have been an upgrade on maintenance not a repurchase. As for the ezDoc software, the most helpful change would be the ability to start print spools from a specific page #. One of my most common examples would be when we are printing a group of forms/checks and we have a printer issue I must restart from the beginning each time. A few weeks ago I printed 140 check 4 times just to get the last 10. Also it would be nice if I could create files in the Tiff format, my need for this may be going away.

Overall: Creation of forms and PDF documents

So far, we are very happy with our purchase. It is working the way we are using it for.

Pros: Ease of use, setup and maintenance. Once software has been setup, use is without issue and allows work to take place without worrying about problems.

Cons: The only con that I can think of and probably from my lack of using the product and not understanding how it is constructed. Seems that vendor has to make changes to the images that the company uses. Again, probably from lack of actual use.

Overall: Process from printing AP checks and the payroll work without issue.

Pros: The system was already in place when I started with the company 12 years ago so I wasn't involved with the initial setup of the software package. It is one of the lowest maintenance software packages that we have. The only times I have to do anything is to change the signatures on the checks or perhaps change the 1099 forms. I don't have to do anything for the normal day to day operations that use the EZPrint application.

Cons: Since we upgraded software a few years ago I haven't had to make any changes to any checks or forms but the last upgrade changed the way we have to do our changes. It was switching to a more online system for changes so I have zero experience doing that. So when we do need to change the forms I know I'll have to contact the ACOM help desk to go thru the change process. Some type of online training would be very helpful in this regard and I haven't seen anything from ACOM about that.

Good service, good product. Straight forward implementation

Pros: It does everything I need it to do. When I was looking to do some folder monitoring for PDF's a couple of years after the initial purchase, I was pleasantly surprised that it had the capability to do exactly what I needed. That versatility has made our investment in the product well worth the money.

Cons: Sometimes it is difficult to find exactly what you are looking for if you have not been into the administration function in some time.

Pros: Although I am not "administrator", it seems that it is easy to manage when it comes to changing signatures around. The manual cheque process is a breeze and comes in handy when there is a rush payment required.

Cons: I don't like the cost to replace the USB drive when new/different signatures are needed or the length of time it takes to get a new one due to ACOM's location. Our company has gone through many changes in signatories in the past several years and many times we have had to hold off issuing payments while awaiting a new USB. I realize this is out of ACOM's control.

We currently just use it to archive documents and that functionality is working well.

Pros: It is reliable. It gives our end user a method to look at the following documents as they were when they were sent out - PO, invoices, picking tickets, packing slips. It is an automated process that archive these documents. We can make these documents available through our website.

Cons: I think we have an issue purging old documents but that may be a version issue we have not addressed.

Overall: We have an audit trail of exactly what the documents look like when they were sent out.

Pros: Various options to do lookups (dollar amount, vendor number, invoice number, etc.) Very helpful when preparing accruals for month end close.

Cons: The software does not handle intercompany transactions. Invoices with line items for multiple companies can not be posted.

Pros: It's hard to answer this question to many steps to process one invoice when your processing 100/200 invoices a day.

Cons: 1st step for Accounts Payable is to scan all invoice's for payment.

route it to the Cat and code the invoices for payment you have to go to 3 different sections to get one invoice paid.

Pros: I appreciate that it does quicken the overall process and facilitates better internal controls for the AP process. Additionally, we all greatly appreciate the ability to view invoices electronically stored in the accounting system--we can now do away with paper filing of processed invoices.

Cons: I believe the scanning software, ReadSoft, could be a bit more reliable in terms of reading data. More importantly, we greatly wish we could run credit memos through the system, although I believe that is being rolled out in the next ACOM version.

Long term vendor to the IBM midrange community with knowledgeable staff and great service.

Pros: The Acom software integrated easily with our existing ERP system and has worked almost flawlessly for the years we've had in use. We're able to print on blank check stock which helps by not having to maintain a check number log for audit as well as lessened security for the blank stock versus pre-printed as there is no account number, name, etc.

Cons: Cost, since it isn't free! Otherwise, the least favorite is: duplicate copy prints on the same printer using plain copy paper but with the same magnetic toner as required for the checks; magnetic toner is, of course, more expensive but the toner cartridge still lasts a very long time, around a year for us.

Overall: The check printing process is much easier than before and saves time. We also feel that it's helpful in fraud prevention.

Pros: Ease of use, search features, minimal amount of down time problems. The ability to make certain changes such as PO number after an invoice is approved is a plus. Being able to use multiple criteria options in the search function makes finding invoices and / or PO's very easy. Seeing all of the approval process when checking on an invoice helps in determining where in the approval process an invoice is.

Cons: Not being able to index by multiple columns, ie by date and invoice number or date and location can sometimes be a problem. There are times that I need to search for a range of invoices over a specific period of time and then want this sorted by the date of the invoice and the location and I am not able to do this. Also having a feature to export all of the invoices in a specific sort to Excel would be a nice feature to have. There are times that I need a total amount of expenses on a PO for a location and I have to copy and past the data into Excel so I can have Excel sort by the PO number and give me a subtotal for each PO. Have an export function would make this easier to do.

Overall: Ease of invoice approval by multiple people in our organization. The ability to visually see an invoice that enters our AP software.

Superior product, excellent customer service.

Pros: Integration with Sage MAS and web functionality are the two selling points. i also like how complex you can make the workflow as this is a major plus for our company.

Cons: The issues that do not get resolved like credit memo processing and lack of use tax integration with Sage MAS to accrue use tax on invoices. I also feel that it needs an app for smartphones and tablets to allow approval by those in the field more easily, as well as a remote capture ability to take pictures and upload from smartphone.

Overall: Paperless accounts payable.

There are very few user/system issues with this product.

Pros: The capability to move things around and align/adjust the placement of data on the from based on our needs is definitely a plus
The ability to create copies of the main form and tailor the form to meet the needs of our internal customer so the form is not a cookie cutter is also a plus for this software

Cons: Making changes to the form is not very easy. It is difficult to determine where the output would be on the form. For instance making changes on the HTEXT or TEXT line and figuring out the across and down number, is not easy.

They have the best customer support bar-none; I love the GUI interface & still love the Green Screen

Pros: That is versatile and each of my 110 customers can have different designs, printing options, and the customer support is fantastic in case I run into issues with anything.

Cons: That I don't know enough about how sets & groups work, which is because I don't have time to research/learn it. I also (as a senior iSeries Developer myself) get lost trying to figure out ACOM error messages/figuring out program messages because ACOM doesn't create job logs as a general rule.

Overall: Great Checks & Forms for my 110 customers for their Vehicle Auctions, with easy design & interface to our software & data.

In the 9 years that I have been using the ACOM product, I have never experienced any issues.

Pros: The products are easy to use and learn therefore training our IT team is always achieved.
The number one quality ACOM has brought to our company is the outstanding support team. Especially the team leader which have not only treated each incident with the utmost attention but also displayed vast technical knowledge. On numerous occasions I have the privilege to work with him to resolve complex business requirements by contacting him which there were always time for our IT team. ACOM professional service is also an option for us to fast path some of our business requirements.

Cons: With one incident the ACOM software showed some incomparability when we upgraded our operating system which was a big headache but eventually resolved with the ACOM support team.
The Dashboard page of the ACOM software showed some malfunctions which continue to exist.
There may be a patch/fix for this but we have never applied.

Overall: The software fulfilled the Business requirements for our company.

Pros: Once setup, there is very little maintenance. It just works. It merges our text files from our AS400 system and produces great looking output with labels and data values taken from the legacy AS400 application.

Cons: We haven't been able to use the gui form editor due to an issue with FTP. Limited support for new printers.
