Proper Shipping to our customers as they require their own label.

Pros

Ease of use and reliability - the product is crucial to our shipping product and reliability is important.

Cons

Lack of Better GUI Interfaces. It is hard to maintain old Labels as I have to make changes in the old green screen.

What we like the most about this software is that it is user friendly and it is rare for us to have any problems. We use this for purchase orders and all checks.

Cons

We reprint checks, however this my be due to the proprietary software that is used in conjunction with ACOM

It runs on the IBMi and is easy to administer. This is a solid solution that has served our company for many years.

Cons

We did not purchase the PC client to design forms. Designing forms and labels in green screen, while not difficult, consumes more time than is optimal.

The Acom software is very reliable and robust. We can always count on the product seamlessly working to reliably produce our forms.

Cons

The only thing that can be updated is the interface. Currently it is text based and an option to have a web based solution would be nice.

Helps cut down on paper and creates digital copies. Does all the work in the back ground. Easy to use menues

Cons

I really have no Cons other then having to setup the individual printers on our system. would be easier just to be able to print to a device already set up .

Various options to do lookups (dollar amount, vendor number, invoice number, etc.) Very helpful when preparing accruals for month end close.

Cons

The software does not handle intercompany transactions. Invoices with line items for multiple companies can not be posted.

Pros

The EZ-Designer is intuitive and allows us to make modifications to our forms seamlessly. A great feature of the system is that all of the forms are located on the server which allows for easy access.

ACOM software just runs. The only time I need to touch it is to make adjustments to my forms. Customer service is top notch as well.

Cons

The process of designing a form can be a little tricky in the beginning, but once you've done a few it becomes intuitive.

Easy to use software. Excellent customer support staff. Software is very flexible as far as output options.

Cons

I wish the form set could contain more than 25 forms. I wish that the software upgrades were easier to do.

Pros

Easy to approve documents and move them along the review process. We can also make it available outside our organization so that is a plus for mobile users.

Cons

Tomcat requirement add an additional service that has failed in the past. It's just one more service to ensure it working properly. I wish admins could change notifications on the fly and make more admin related changes to the processes.

After installation it is easy to administer and use. Adding our own graphics to the forms helps associate the client to the company.

Cons

It was hard to install and configure but once that was done there hasn't been an issue since that time.

All of our invoices, and contracts are in one place. It makes it easier to search for them.

Pros

I like that, from an AP perspective, I can view my invoices from anywhere and I don't have to have the invoices in front of me. I like the search feature when coding invoices as well as when searching for specific invoices.

Cons

It took us some time to figure out the search feature when looking for invoices. When entering AP invoices with multiple lines of GL code, it takes the system time to process and actually makes entering invoices a longer process.

Set up can be a little complicated, which can be expected for software used in conjunction with an ERP sytem.

Pros

It's easy and straight forward check writing. I can have various check books/checking accounts. I like the customer service support, they are always kind and helpful.

Cons

That I am unable to choose one particular check to run. Check batches work 99.9% of the time but on occasion would like the ability and ease to run i check

Ease of use in creating forms and great product support learning the software.

Pros

Ease of use, Once the initial learning curve has been reached, the software is really easy to adapt. Product support is great to help! The software works well as a form print over AS400 print files.

Cons

A bit of a learning curve initially when used with the AS400 iSeries. There is not a lot of documentation online, but our customer service representative when out of his way to help.

Pros

The ease of creating professional looking forms out of IBM AS 400 documents. Also the ability to Email copies of created documents to cut down on printing out all documents.

Cons

The amount of time it takes to implement a change in the software. twice I brought up a deficiency in the software and I was told it a request would be submitted to correct it but the problem would not be fixed till the next release. One time it was right after a release so had to wait over 6 months to correct it.

Pros

Our users who process checks like the shortcuts on top of the interface for processing &/or reprinting checks.

Cons

Less steps to get to the step of printing the checks. Default the most recent dated batch of checks to the top of the list. It seems to take a long time for the application to open and initialize. We had a situation where the user intended to reset one check to reprint, but accidentally reset the batch. An option to set the batch back to processed would be helpful.

The software is more complicated and has additional capabilities that we do not use. The sophistication of the software made it more complicated to install.

Ease of making new forms, especially pack slips which are customized for our customers.

Pros

It is much easier to use than the older version. Can whip out a new pack slip or update invoices or purchase orders quickly. I love your customer service - I've never had to wait more than an hour or so for a response for even the most minor of issues. Wish all my 3rd party software vendors were as responsive.

Cons

Can't add multiple lines of text without making a new line: So if, for example, I wanted to have text in a square box of 5x5 the text doesn't wrap (at least I haven't found an easy way). I need to make multiple lines to fit inside the box.
