Pros

It's a really easy, fully featured, and intuitive chat app for desktop.

Cons

The iOS app is very unstable and frequently freezes when attempting to join a chat. Only killing the app and opening it again works, which increases response time.

My friend needed a chat on a specific page of his site to answer questions from prospects and reassure them before purchase. The chat was very easy to set up and implement on the site. It was even possible to customize its appearance on the free plan

Cons

It was easy enough for me to set up, but maybe a beginner would have a much harder time. Would probably need a tutorial or two

The best thing about it is that it's free, and for a free chat, its a great experience - you're not going to find a better option. You will, however, have to look elsewhere if you plan on having or creating more complicated chat flows, or require a degree of automation.

Pros

Tawk.to is the best free chat tool you could integrate on your website - its free forever, so you don't have to worry about switching to a paid plan or jumping to another solution when the trial is over.

Cons

Love the fact that the chat is clean and smooth, but there are limited to no options for automation or to set up a set sequence of messages that can be triggered based on the visitors response.

I used this for my landing pages in my marketing campaigns. Lightweight, easy to setup and use. It is a perfect fit when you are trying out new products.

Pros

Easy to setup. You just add a script, and configure everything else from their interface. There are a lot of possibilities available to configure your chat.

Cons

Some settings are not very friendly or are quite hidden. You need to play around with the backend to be able to customize it as expected.

Overall I've had a good experience with Tawk, it's easy to add to your website and practically works with most of the themes out there plus it has all the facilities like other paid tools. It's a no-brainer choice for anyone who isn't looking to spend much on a customer chat tool.

Pros

The best thing about Tawk is that it's completely free, their both the software(chat and knowledgebase) are too good to be free. Also adding the widget to your website is quite easy, even for a beginner.

Cons

One of the biggest cons of Tawk as a customer chat tool is the backend. The admin panel isn't the most customer-friendly one out there. Only if they could remove a bit of clutter and focus on the core settings, then it would be a very nice experience.

I used tawk.to for a website that I developed so that I could get some feedback from the customers that were looking for the product being marketed. It was great, the dashboard is super intuitive and easy - it allows us to control our business much more penetratingly and be there for our customers - perfect!

Pros

It is a software that allows any business owner to have a live chat on their business website - it's spectacular! It is easy, immediate, very user friendly. From both the user and administrator's point of view. Amazing.

Cons

It's free, the basic use - and it's great. Asking otherwise wouldn't be fair - it's perfect. What more can we ask?

The experience is great, considering that I use the free version of the product I could not be happier!

Pros

I like that the tawk.to plugging for WordPress was very easy to set up, it took me couple of hours to understand the whole concept, but again I was not familiar with the chat plugins at all. The Reporting is pretty good and the live data with ticket creations are also very good. Also very much like Page Visit graphs.

Cons

The most confusing for me was setting up users, and or understanding who gets what ticket. But after some time playing around with it, it all becomes clear.

I found tawk.to a very useful & handy chat app to talk to your clients online or even you can set different hard coded messages while you are offline. Its one of the best free chat app available in market & thousand of online ventures using it without any issue. Its UI is well designed & very friendly. When you buy its paid version it gives you more features & its quite extensive. Even its free version is also used worldwide.

Cons

As a free & satisfied user i haven't found disadvantage yet.

Great free solution for support chat but you get what you pay for (or don't).

Pros

Uh...it's free, so that's pretty cool! If you're looking for lightweight chat support solution and you're on a budget, that makes the choice easy. Also tawk.to is immensely easy to implement... it's just copying some JS, as easy as implementing Google Analytics.

Cons

The featureset (ex. third party integrations) may not be as robust as paid solutions like Zendesk, Livechat, etc. but that's a tradeoff for being free. Also, there's a lack of customizability.

We wanted a plataform for dispatching client to a IA before reaching a human being, whe some how patched tawk scritp to do this and it worked really nice. The tawkto function never had a problem so its really realiable.

Pros

Easy to setup in a web site(just some javascript) Several features on free plan Conection with cellphone manage offline messages. allow several person answering to clients. Allow share files.

Cons

Specific features are blocked by the pay wall. cant hide tawk to icon with out paying. IA element is behind pay wall. no integration with ot side sistems

This software has been great for the business and we've had a number of leads come through the online chat.

Pros

\- Ability to convert potential lost sales on your website (i.e. if users decided to avoid using the contact form or are having issues adding to cart etc). - Good dashboard with reports to indicate how many users have contacted you via the chat. - Email pings/reminders are useful. - Easy to implement and add to your website (with a little coding knowledge).

Cons

\- The dashboard feels a little clunky and seems more complicated than it should be. - Feel that the email pings/reminders are out of sync (sometimes we miss a chat because the email reminder doesn't come through for a good 15-30 mins).

We used it as an alternative to other products on the company website for a short while, but we liked it a lot. It was simple to use and it helped us talk to everyone who needed help organizing their trip but wanted that information instantly when visiting our website. Absolutely necessary for good tourism websites.

Pros

It was absolutely free! And it worked well. It saved the company some money and I liked using it.

Cons

The backend was a bit complicated and had many options I never actually used. I would have much more preferred a simple client app to take chats in.

Pros

It's super easy to set up and they allow us to communicate to our clients super easily. We also can set up a FAQ, it's a great client support software with hiring cheap workers too.

Cons

Nothing much, it was overall great. There's always room to improve, redesigning their dashboard would be nice.

It provided a great chat add-on for our web site, to track visitors, chat with them and try to collect useful information for further sales.

Cons

The support for in-app support, I mean, the chat support when the user buys our product and need helps, was poor compared with other products.

I now have a way to instantly connect with visitors on my online store. It was the best solution out of others that I've tried out.

Pros

I like that I can offer 24/7 customer support for my online store as well as take messages if I'm not available. It looks professional. Tawk.to was easy to set up and has customizable features.

Cons

I once missed a question from a potential customer, although I'm not sure if it was my own fault, the app failed to notify me a chat had been started.
