Pros: The customer service is by far the best I've encountered. I have used the chat option many times and the tech support is awesome.

Cons: Some of the features are not easy to find and sometimes I need to reach out to tech support. However the tech support team is very helpful

Overall: It is very helpful in completing an accurate pay roll

Pros: That the staff can clock on and off from their own phones. Saves me having to remember when they left.

Cons: I would love an alarm to my phone when I'm due to knock off. Just to remind me to end my shift. But not a big problem

Pros: The thing I like the most about the software is the ease of use, not only on the employers' end but also on the employes end too.

Overall: Deputy has helped me save time when doing anything to do with schedule shift for my employees and doing there pays. It has also prevented any mistakes when doing the weekly pays.

Great software and very easy to use. Customer service is amazing.

Pros: Software is easy to use. Very user friendly. The app is great. Customer service is very helpful. I had an issue and they took all the time to look into it and fix it. They were very on top of the situation and I never had to wait long to get an update. Very impressed.

As a new owner operator, Deputy has been a great tool to ease the rostering nightmare!

Pros: easy to use, all information in one place. best feature is to see the cost of wages as a percentage of sales - really helps keep things in perspective when rostering. love that I can add specific information about a day - such as public holiday, local event etc.

Cons: I have to pay more for the timesheet function and as a new business, I just can't afford it.

Overall: rostering all in one place - removed my clunky old spread sheet!

Pros: access with app and computer easy way to communicate with staff, budgeting as we have three locations

Cons: the staff have problems if they work longer to do this on the app to let the office know with the timesheet

Pros: I like the easy to use dashboard (although some issues have arisen and it's just their platform, not user error) the information on all employees is really helpful and extensive. The integration with my payroll processing software is amazing! It really saves me a lot of time to just approve the hours and then send to my payroll for payments.

Cons: I've had a couple of issues with the hours not resetting and it was an error with their system. They told me a good way to get around it but I don't think they're going to fix that issue. It's fine because it hasn't happened a lot and once I've gotten around it, I can handle it but I'd like to know that their development team is continuing to improve on their software.

Overall: Saved time and now I can schedule my employees easily and quickly! My employees enjoy using the dashboard, as well.

Pros: Simplicty, fast loading, ease of use and good communication. It allows you to quickly chat to team, send notes and receive confirmation of communication

Cons: The ability to extract journals/comments and the privacy behind them. Having the capability to write journals is fantastic, but the android/phone system needs a look at software access.

Pros: Easy for our staff to see when they work and to swap shifts, see when there are open shifts that they need to pick up. Good reminder alerts

Cons: Doesn't sync with enough payment systems; doesn't have a good option for seasonal businesses; tech support is chat based, and sometimes there's a long delay to get help

Pros: I like the fact that I can do 200+ employees in less than a hour for a two week pay period. No more tally time cards and running the risk of tallying them incorrectly. You log in each day and hit just a button to start a shift that is pre-loaded just for you and your hours. Then when going to lunch of brake just hit the button that states break and when finish hit the button that states end break. It is just that simple.

Cons: The fact that a holiday pay isn't set to pay 8 hours but base on the employees set shift schedule for the day. When you have as many employees as I have and you have to correct them each individually can take a little bit of time. By doing it this way you run the risk of missing someone and paying them incorrectly. Since I have only been using this product for less than 6 months we are looking it this issues to see if maybe we didn't do something correctly when we set up Deputy for our employees.

Overall: By using Deputy I am able to focus on other payroll for our employees that is not paid hourly. My accounting team is able to focus on to focus more on other ares of accounting instead of having to tally time cards and running the risk of errors.

Pros: Accurate when doing Payroll and very easy to use. Its great having a view of all my staffs shifts and working out when best to place them to get the most out of my week. it also helps me budget my labour costs. It also memorises shift patterns which is useful

Cons: There's nothing i can really say on a negative side. It would be nice to have more analytics and if it could link up with our Sales figures so we could optimise are busiest time with the right number of staff and having a visual and easy to read graph showing this.

Overall: time back

It is fairly easy to use and our teams have adapted quite well to it.

Pros: Staff cannot pick and choose their shifts, making it fairer. It is easy to see how much we are spending on wages. I like that we have contact details for each member of staff on there.

Cons: There were a few teething problems, with some team members not being able to set an account up straight away.

Pros: It has everything I need to keep track of my business activities. Now it's easy for me to do my accounting at the end of a project.

Cons: I have a lot of sub contractors who work on short term projects and I can't figure out how to capture these cost without paying large amounts in fees.

Pros: Very easy to use. Can involve as many or as few decision makers in the scheduling process. A cost effective solution to our scheduling needs. Now our managers can manage!

Cons: Some of the graphics could be improved in terms of contrast between the individual locations on the scheduling page.

Overall: Time efficiency savings. Productivity from managers has greatly increased because they are spending less time rostering employees. Communications to and between employees at different locations has been aided greatly as well.

Pros: Sending out open shifts to staff and the quick response and notification alerts

Cons: Cancelling shifts and the system not sending a notification out to staff. System administrator not able to view all notifications.

Pros: Ease of use, shows accumulation of hours used without having to add them up and sends everyone their schedule in a text and an email so there are no conflicts of people not knowing when they work next.

Pros: tried a few and settled on deputy - like he slick look and feel on desktop and nice app, Deputy customer support is 100% with fast response time 24/7

Cons: need more desktop version features brought over to app.

Pros: Ease of adding in shifts, the way it looks.
forwarding the locations and shifts directly to the engineers via push notification is cool

Cons: Locations - when you add a location and you have many of them it comes up with a code on the shifts, its difficult to work out which site is which when you have 20+ of them

shifts don't all show up in the app for all locations

Pros: Love how easy it is to do schedules, approving time sheets is a breeze, reports are easy to access, and it's great to have the flexibility to have staff log/off, the photo feature is fantastic to stop staff logging on or off for other staff from the iPad kiosk in a site office, while allowing managers to log on or off from the app on their phone.

Overall: Our staff log on and off via the iPad kiosk and with the pin and photo ensures that staff log on or off themselves, it's great for doing rosters with many viewing options I can ensure we always have enough staff rostered, approving time sheets now takes a matter of minutes, and in an emergency the iPad serves as an excellent reference to account for the staff.

Pros: This has given our company the ability to efficiently schedule and keep track of our sub contractors shifts, giving us more time to concentrate of expanding the business.

Cons: It is difficult to see the shift details of the shift you are currently working on. This has caused issues when contact details are stored in the shift details.
Client to Supplier platform improvements would help. Our client needs to schedule multiple shifts as a request to one supplier. It has been difficult to do soo thus far.

Deputy is a great tool that compliments our finance system. Staff rostering/payroll prep is a breeze

Overall: Deputy is great and at this point in time there is nothing that I would change. After a few teething issues, all is running smoothly now.

Pros: Easy to use. Simple to prepare and alter rosters and fill shifts at short notice. Can quickly teach someone else to use the software.

Cons: That to print rosters you need to change the format and program to print them. That you can't alter employees information, they need to do it themselves.

Pros: Deputy has allowed us to digitize our roster and timesheet processes. The system also integrates with Smartpayroll which makes paying staff really easy. Staff can access their roster online and apply for leave through Deputy.

Cons: Unfortunately, Deputy doesn't integrate with all payroll systems and we had to switch to another platform.

Overall: Digitizing and manual timesheeting process.

Pros: The ease of entering and managing schedules across multiple locations. Also I like that it sorts out who has appropriate qualifications for different jobs.

Pros: The ability to use on various platforms and the ability to edit on the go. Perfect fit for security company. Intuitive.

Cons: Cannot email schedule directly from program. News feeds slow to load and never show up in correct chronological order on mobile app.

Overall: Mobility, and flexibility, can make adjustments on the fly from anywhere. Ease of use intuitive controls and customization. Notification feature works great and saves a lot of emails, phone calls, and text messages.

Over all Deputy is very helpful to manage staffing schedule, leave request and vacations.

Pros: The notifications keeping people up to date of their work schedule it helps the staff keep track on their hours and select their available to work with us, specialty on an industry that demand a lot of flexibility of work hrs from staff.
The easiest of making the schedule week by week and keeping conveniently up to date.
If I have an problem with the system their support is always available 24/7

Cons: The inconvenient of not be able to edit Staff profiles.
Since we have staff of different ages is difficult to the staff to understand how important is for the company to keep their information up to date.
So I assume if the Deputy sister will support and enhance the employees with their questions and give them the same guid to use Deputy as the management will be great.

Pros: Deputy has given us the ability to focus on our business, not get tied up in the laborious task of writing rosters, emailing them out, staff not being aware of changes and no way to add our forecasts etc.

Cons: I do miss using Slack. Slack was an integral part of our business as provided us with a 1-stop option to communicate our rosters, notifications and information regarding the day-to-day running of our restaurant - please add channels and some of the functionality of Slack then Deputy would be perfect!

Pros: That you can move shifts and create shifts so easily, also lets you know if it is overlapping. Also to be able to get notifications and let's you know if anyone is late.
Another helpful point was that it's not only App based, as we have couple windows user who cannot get the Deputy app, being able to log on from the web browser is a huge help.

Cons: That the employees can see all the workplace that we have, which is not ideal.
I am not sure how to change this, otherwise things are great on the app, it's easy to use and straight foreword enough to navigate.

Overall: Easily manage all the shift, day-to-day shift management is so much easier.

Pros: It's ability to streamline several tasks into one application is its greatest quality for me. I can handle all scheduling, payroll hours, and communication with out of office employees very efficiently.

Recommendations to other buyers: More of a wish list of sorts. I would love to have the ability to dispatch and track employees/resources on a daily basis. For example, the ability to tie a crew of employees to a certain vehicle and schedule their workload in advance or on the fly.

Pros: Really easy to use, good ux design. Great way to interact with staff, set tasks and the fact you can go back on the newsfeed to see what's been done.

Cons: Some of the wage cost functionality can be tricky. Could be amazing if we could also have what the NI and tax contributions as employers have to pay be added to give a full picture of wage costs.

The website tends to freeze or not update if you spend a prolonged period.

Pros: Customer service, when i have an issue customer support is always available to work me through it. also the portability of the product, I can easily roster being interstate or away from work.

Cons: Mobile device integration: it is sometimes confusing to change and swap shifts on the mobile device, and that you don't have full rostering functionality implemented on mobile devices.

Pros: I like all the data deputy keeps track of. You can easily track employees hours and find out exactly when they clocked in/out, took breaks and so much more.

Cons: Occasional trouble logging in but may be from bad internet connection. I have had very little issues with deputy.

Pros: The availability and time off requests feature has been so helpful with the staff and keeping track of everyone. Which works great for when I am scheduling the employees during major holidays.

Cons: I wish there were more regulation on employees, for instance only allowing them to offer up their shifts so many times. I also wish that there was a preferred hours feature that would allow better communication between the employer and employee.

Overall: Spending a lot less time scheduling 30+ staff members and ease of mind.

Pros: What I like most about this is how easy it is to set up my employees schedules. We are an in home ABA company and we have many clients and it can be tough to keep track of where everyone is and if they went, but this is awesome.

Cons: As of right now there is nothing that I can think of that I don't like. Except sometimes the app can be a little buggy.

Pros: I love the ease of navigation and clean interface. It's intuitive and I feel as if I am never looking for anything. Scheduling is very smooth and the mobile software enhances the entire experience for quick adjustments on the go.

Cons: Occasionally the scheduling page will not load (spinning deputy symbol will continue forever) My solution is to come back later. Even closing out and coming back into the program doesn't seem to help.

Overall: Scheduling and approving time sheets is very simple and easy to use. Huge plus!

Pros: The ability for our people to clock in and out when there offsite working a job. Being able to see availability of workers on off days.

Cons: Not being ablet to see the entire schedule at once. We have multiple locations that work is performed and it would be better if they all could be viewed on one screen. Instead we have to click on each individual location to see whos working that day.

I love working with Deputy!

Pros: I can keep track of my employees time sheets, vacation use, and make easy, quick journal entries with out the paper mess. I save time each payperiod, I love the organization

Cons: I would like a notification flag that an employee has changed their time clock entry. It takes too much time to go to every employee- everyday and check their history and comments. Just put a flag on their time card when they change so I only have to check that one entry.

Deputy has some serious holes in what it allows teams to do, but for basic scheduling it's fine

Pros: for basic scheduling, it works as expected, and I enjoy using it. I like the ability to bulk unassign shifts, and have shifts autofill, though I wish I could select which groups I can autofill from.

Cons: There are numerous holes - not being able to bulk confirm notifications, not being able to bulk delete an agents shifts, unable to turn off email and text alerts for shift openings by person. My conversations with customer support have not been great as all I get are canned answers and people aren't reading my questions

Overall: ease of scheduling across a large organization

Pros: We can complete our employee scheduling in about half the time as before. Much more efficient than our previous software.

Cons: We really don't have any negatives. It would be nice to be able to change font size and bold when we export schedules to print, but it's certainly not a deal breaker.

It has been a huge improvement from previous tools but is not always easy to navigate .

Pros: The great transition between desktop and mobile app. This gives the team good exposure on their schedule although they can struggle to find who has done previous shifts in the past.

Cons: The only way to see individual unavailability is to go into their profile which is a tedious process. Its not possible to click on the day and have this information when you are creating a shift.

Pros: I can process this from home, the office, or out and about on my phone. It keeps track of the shift expenses and team member availability.

Cons: Someone didn't put us onto this years ago. We could have done away with the archaic system that we did have.

Overall: I can log into the system and know what team member is in what store at what time.

Pros: The import and export function are good. It can also be linked with other software.
Straight forward to use, and very easy to access the customer support, no manual needed.

Cons: functions like leave type, public holiday, pay code, etc are quite standardised, not very specialised for New Zealand scheduling/payroll rules.

Pros: It saves so much time compared to our previous methods. Allowing staff to manage their own shift swaps is great.

Cons: Not being able to approve leave requests on the mobile app. It's only a small niggle, the rest of the app is brilliant

Pros: The app to clock in and out is my favorite part about Deputy. I like that employees can check their schedules from wherever, but I can limit where they can clock in.

Cons: I don't like the time off tracker very much. It feels overly complicated. It really doesn't help track accruals or holiday days very well. I wish it did everything. I also wish it connected with my payroll software - Benefit Mall Pay Focus. I also HATE that when you fire an employee, you have to delete all their open shifts first. If I am getting picky, sometimes customer service isn't very helpful. At least on the online chat. They never seem to know what I am talking about when I am asking questions. I have to screenshot and describe in way too much detail what the problem is.

Overall: Saves me a lot of time.

Pros: Easy to use on pc or app for staff and syncing ability into Xero is very useful for payroll purposes.

Cons: When syncing it means authorisers can see pay rates, etc. It would be useful to have an option be able to hide their rates

We love the fact that it gives both the manager and the staff the flexibility to control their shifts and it gives the employees a sense of ownership - they are almost responsible for their own time management.

Comments: We have been using Deputy for about 15 months now and it is a great product that just keeps getting better and better with regular updates and new features.

Pros: I have appreciated the customer service and response time with issues that I have run into. I love the 24hr support as well with real-time response.

Cons: can't add 'position' only training which is not an efficient way to schedule multiple employees- you have to go into each profile to access training and you have to click multiple times to get there, the lag time in accurate updating between smartphone and computer. timesheets don't always load on smartphones. Overall WAY TO MANY clicks of the mouse to get to different areas in OIS platform.I would not choose this scheduling software based on my experience thus far, less than impressed compared to other scheduling software.

Invaluable team management tool. This saves an incredible amount of time and money!

Pros: This software has been incredible for organizing our team and schedule. Before using this software, all our scheduling was done on paper and then spreadsheets. It's saved us hours on that part alone. Assigning tasks and being able to track whether or not they've been completed by the assignees has been very useful, especially because upper management staff may not always be in the office, so to be able to do this remotely has been very useful. The interface is also very intuitive and easy to navigate on all platforms, from the desktop tool to the iphone app. We are very pleased with this software and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Cons: I would have to say the only thing we would like to see added is a geo-tracking function that would allow us to track staff that need to spend a lot of time on the road. They are able to check in and out of locations, but if there was functionality to show real-time locations, that would be very, very helpful to us.

Overall: This has saved us an insane amount of time for scheduling and organizing our staff and keep them on track with daily and weekly tasks. We are very pleased with the software and everything it can do.

Pros: It looks good, is easy for my staff to use, and has a very intuitive back-end. The customer support is exceptional - I requested a feature and they rolled it out in the following update.

Cons: There are a lot of notifications, but these are reasonably easy to turn on and off so it's not really a complaint!

Overall: Our business is small, but has lots of different areas over two sites so it can be complicated to make rotas and keep track of hours. Deputy makes it super easy, and the app is simple to use so my staff is happy too.

Pros: easy to use all aspects of time keeping and scheduling. Also like the assignable task feature . we have seasonal workers so I like the flexible payment plan.

Cons: I have had trouble exporting timesheets with my accounting software. It is sometimes clunky. I would like an alert if time elapses without activity so I won't forget to clock out. I wish the vacation function would insert a value on the weekly page somehow so we can tell if someone is on vacation.

Overall: easy to track time for payroll.

Pros: The scheduling features, clocking in and out (especially with location services), communication with team capabilities, and overall polished interface are so well thought out and done. I researched several different software and apps, but this one really checked a lot of boxes for our small business. We have a core staff and many seasonal staff, so having a versatile staffing and scheduling app was very important. I love that I can copy weekly schedules, easily change staffing whenever I need to, communicate with the team about changes right through the app, and write notes about each shift with additional information. When it's time for payroll, the approval and tallying of hours is so quick and easy.

Cons: So far it is an indispensable part of my business. I (and my staff) absolutely love it. The only issue I still have with the app is its inability to have several different pay rates for each person. Our company offers several different "jobs" that people can claim, but each job has its specific pay rate. When it comes to payroll, it would be nice to be able to select which payrate that employee is being paid for each shift/or position. Once this is in place, then I will be able to benefit from the budget and exporting features of the app. Right now, I cannot, but I understand this may be a special set-up.

Overall: Probably one of the best scheduling/staffing apps out there organizing my company's staffing, scheduling and payroll.

Pros: Easy to have a high level view of what is going on with my team. I can quickly and easily see how many hours each employee has done and compare it to the hours I shifted them.
I can also categorise the work so I know what time is spent doing what activity. This for me is very helpful.

Cons: Filling out the schedule can be time consuming. As with my business only 1 person is shifted at a time so it is tiresome to keep setting the start time of the next employee as the end time of the previous.
In addition I would like to be able to edit the view more, for example colour code each employee so when looking at the schedule it is easier to see who is on and when.
As our business is not sales related the reports which rostered hours against sales is not really useful. I wish I could change the metrics or KPI's so that they are now inline with what my business needs.

Overall: Easy to organise my team. They also got a push notification to their phone regarding the start time of their shift. Very useful for managing remote workers.

Super easy to use, also it's very useful and employees are very happy with it.

Pros: I like the fact that the employees can see them shift just by the phone and the app add it to the calendary. The communication also improved.

Pros: This software is so simple to use and to read, I schedule people and use it for my own use and deputy makes it so easy to see where everyone is, if someone is ACTUALLY at work when they clock in because of the map feature.

Pros: I can contact all employees by SMS . I can also set tasks for the employees, they get the message about the task when the log on.

Pros: Android app ++, easy control of staff and their hours worked, great consistent updates. awesome copy/paste function for weekly roster

Cons: The non-ability to choose what time you staff is required to be on break. Apart from that, the support team is always on to your issues...

Pros: What I like most is what I never expected and that is that our staff LOVE it! They are engaged, they use the messaging, love the task feature and appreciate the ability to provide input to their own schedule. Also, the make-up of our staff is super random from week to week and Deputy allows us to do custom scheduling with 100% accuracy.

Cons: Keeping in mind that we just started using Deputy it might be a little unfair for me to answer this right now but what I find is that it is a little tedious to have to do as many things manually as we do. I'm sure I will discover shortcuts soon enough so this isn't even a complaint. Plus, the reason I gave the' Value for Money' 4 stars is because of the US/CDN exchange rate, again, nothing to do with Deputy.

Pros: We love the fact that it gives both the manager and the staff the flexibility to control their shifts and it gives the employees a sense of ownership - they are almost responsible for their own time management.

Not to mention all the flexibility it gives the management of building shift templates, managing leave and the especially the time sheets (now that paid breaks are a feature) it makes payroll preperation a breeze. (We haven't yet used the Xero payroll integration and the Xero payroll has not yet been rolled out in our country, but we are looking forward to it).

As a busy little cafe we have also used the task management feature to cover off all of our daily / weekly food safety requirements which makes it much easier for everyone to input their duties and the simple fact is - if its easier, it gets done.

Before moving to Deputy we tried a few other products but this one seemed to suit us best and one of the main reasons we moved is because we felt it offered the best value for money especially as our staff numbers change all the time.

We have recently expanded our operation to second location and without Deputy the shift management could have been hectic. Having this system already in place just meant that we had one less thing to worry about.

Deputy has become an integral part of our daily routine.

Cons: As mentioned earlier we are a busy little cafe so we spend most of our time on the shop floor, whilst Deputy has a fantastic mobile options and visibility, as managers it would be great if had more flexibility to "approve" more employees requests on the go like shift swaps and leave applications.

Also I found that the employees with Android phones seem to have a few bugs still hiding away in their app and they also don't yet have access to the task manager on their phones.

However, these are fairly small issues in the great scheme of things and based on the development rate and technical support I have received to date I have no doubt that these are already in the development pipeline. We look forward to the updates as they roll out.

Overall: This application is brilliant. It's functionality and ease of use has totally revamped our management of labour hire onsite . Having labour on multiple sites can stretch your resource management so being able to track when and where everyone is at one time is awesome!

Cons: Alerts are a bit awkward, would be nice to see who is clocked in and out on the scheduling page.

Overall: I own a retail store, and needed to get away from Excel scheduling and paper time sheets. This was the solution. All-in-one, it lets me schedule easily, see my daily schedule, break apart managers, cashiers, and associates, and lets me see when everyone clocks in and out.

Better yet, it lets my employees swap shifts with each other, eliminating constant requests, and it lets them enter their own vacation schedules. Awesome.

And if I ever have a question, the guys at Deputy are right there to help, always with a quick response. Would highly recommend.

Comments: I've know about the software for a while but only just used it on a small project managing 100 resources schedules, $$$ forecast v actuals, etc.

Cons: tips nowhere to declare tips

Overall: Great product easy interface with employees. Just need to be able to put tips in and this would be the best product out there

Cons: Works best in Google Chrome. IE and Firefox is buggy.
Automatic features that affect time entry don't always work as described.
No formal training documentation, only help web guides.

Overall: Working for a City Government Organization, we installed deputy.com to replace our outdated and expensive Kronos solution. Deputy being a cloud based system, helped us to deploy and test more rapidly then installing a local on premise solution. The Integration staff and Owner of the company were involved with our go live and were amazing. They continue to speak with us and help us though issues that come up. Deputy.com is well worth the money and they integrate with most major cloud based payroll systems. Their IPAD kiosk app for clock-in/out is the best out of all the other company demos we tried as well. Easy to deploy and manage and they continue to work out bugs and issues as they come up. They are very quick to acknowledge a problem and work on a fix.

Recommendations to other buyers: Has the best features compared to all other cloud time card and scheduling solutions.

Pros: Rostering with leave options.
Alerts to when staff are late to work.

Cons: No Public Holiday option
No staff meeting option
Should be easy to make these basic options for all business that need to pay staff for these things.

Overall: Deputy has been great for someone like myself who has multiple sites for my business to manage.
Gone are the days when staff arrived in the carpark at their allocated start time.
When they are late now I get an alert and then I am on to them. It has made them all pick up their game and be on time. I love the leave info also. Once staff have approved leave you can't roster them on by accident.
Just want Deputy to develop a Public Holiday category and also staff meeting allocation option and this will be the perfect App for any business.
I recommend it to everyone I know who has more than one employee.
The one bad thing is it isn't very android friendly yet. Deputy have assured me they are working on that.

Recommendations to other buyers: As I said above - create an option for Public Holidays and Staff meetings.

Pros: Easy to use. Integrates with Xero and other software. Helps communication with staff. Allows for SMS, email, and push notifications.

Cons: Haven't found any.

Overall: I looked at over half a dozen options in depth, entering schedules and staff and doing trials. I ended up deciding upon Deputy software and couldn't be happier. It's smooth and intuitive to use for both the staff and management alike and integrates with Xero smoothly saving me time and money. The staff love the ease of the app and it allows them to fill shifts they can't do making like easier for me. I can choose to approve the changes or not. It has improved communication with the staff as well, do to the nature of our work, we are all on shift on different days and times. This helps us communicate.
All the components of this well thought out software work and the customer service has been great. I really can't recommend it highly enough.

Comments: We have enjoyed using deputy for a little over a year now. It helps with keeping track of your employees schedule, hours worked, and will send them notifications to schedule changes and lets them know if a shift becomes available.

Pros: Good fully featured data, but easy to see and make decisions on.

Overall: I've been very pleased with Deputy, it has an easy to use interface but still allows for more powerful overview and tracking of labor and costs.

This would be a great choice for most small business and works in a variety of industries.

Pros: Great UI, time saver. Integrations with Kounta to see sales vs staff costs.

Cons: Doesn't directly allow custom wages based on an area of work and/or age. Can be achieved through the RIA 2010 template but would be nice to see this native and customizable inside deputy when adding employees and wages. Maybe an extra tab with wages. Custom wages based on hrs of the day/employee age/working area etc. Then apply them to an area or employee.

Overall: A real lifesaver when it comes to time spent on HR! Well laid out UI and intuitive enough that my staff can figure out how to use it as they go.

Overall: The system is very easy to use it. All my employees are happy with Deputy.
Also, the costumer service is very helpful.
It save me a lot of time to do other things, because, the system is very intelligent, when I have a leaving request, it is register on the system and I don't make mistakes anymore.
I really like, the newsfeed page, cause, every one can see the messages any time at the Deputy Kiosk.
I definitely recommend it!

Pros: The simplicity. It's ability to create, download & integrate timesheets.

Cons: It is unable to really determine/calculate overtime & allowances for our employees. This has more to do with the complexities of Construction Industry Awards though.

Overall: We needed a no-fuss, mobile-based timesheet app that would suit our business. Deputy gave us exactly that, enabling our off-site employees access to a simple clock-on/off system for every-day use. Payroll day has become so much simpler & far less time-consuming!

Pros: Easy to use for a normal business operation. Very straightforward and clear.

Cons: The location notification doesnt work very well - when I sign in Deputy at the front door of the restaurant, it says I'm 500m away. Or when I have more than 10 events a week at various locations, the locations cannot be set independently. Also, it gets very messy to allocate 30 shifts to 10 different people at 5 locations.

Overall: I quite enjoy using this program and it has great features and flexibility that I need. The updates and the information sent to employees is quick and accurate. However I'm running the food trucks operation and some features cannot be customised, such as particular locations for every day events. But that's just a minor thing. Definitely worth using it.

Recommendations to other buyers: Have it little more customised for unusual business operation, like foodtrucks or event management organisations.

Cons: lack of ability of organization of people by last name

Overall: Deputy is great! It makes scheduling and communicating with my staff super easy. I only have two (minor) complaints. One is, the deputy team doesn't always take the time to understand what Im asking. They copy and paste answers that are similar to what I need to know, but not exactly what I am looking for. The second is there is not an option to organize exported timesheets by last name.
