It helps us keep track of employee time and integrates with our payroll system!

Pros

This is the most amazing platform for time keeping. We use the Deputy Kiosk and love it! We love the scheduling features and how you can communicate with your crew in real time! It is so easy to use and it just super cool!

Cons

There is no way to customize roles. You can do it on the back end but it is a bit of a bear. I assume that it will be coming in a future upgrade though!

Quick & Easy to use; Accurate time management tool and data system.

Pros

Easy Access, user friendly and will be a valuable tool once we go 100% live. Learning was a lot easier than first anticipated and with an extra tutorial early in July, will feel even more confident and knowledgeable about this new tool and asset.

Cons

Haven't come across too many difficulties and, as we are still in the 'infancy' stage of implementation cannot expand further than that.

Able to see multiple locations that share employees, so we avoid conflicts in scheduling

Pros

Great for scheduling multiple roles and locations, like options for notifications (text, email, etc)

Cons

Cannot easily sync to other calendar (Outlook), would be nice to sync in real time/show canges in real time

Punctuality and employees not ripping off hours

Pros

I can contact all employees by SMS . I can also set tasks for the employees, they get the message about the task when the log on.

Cons

I can't put my team on one screen to see what the roster looks like, I need to scroll up and down too much.

Pros

The scheduling and ability to keep all our employee details in the one spot, the ability for our employees to log in and tell us their unavailability and leave. Has saved us so many hours of going backwards and forwards with our staff! The communication is easy between staff and notifications is awesome.

Cons

There are a few niche features we would like to see in the future but might only be related to our business needs.

I love all the features, user friendly and great way to communicate with staff under the newsfeed. Approving timecards is much simpler for me now, compared to Kronos. One suggestion that I have shared is to have the option to view the monthly schedule by pay period in addition to the calendar view. Thanks!

Mobility, and flexibility, can make adjustments on the fly from anywhere. Ease of use intuitive controls and customization. Notification feature works great and saves a lot of emails, phone calls, and text messages.

Pros

The ability to use on various platforms and the ability to edit on the go. Perfect fit for security company. Intuitive.

Cons

Cannot email schedule directly from program. News feeds slow to load and never show up in correct chronological order on mobile app.

This is an ingenious program that makes schedule building and staff management as easy as possible. I don't have to be in the store running off a specific computer, I can do it on the road which takes the stress out of taking a few days off now and then.

making cover for shifts much quicker and easier

Pros

The ability for staff to find cover or swap shifts with ease. And the ability to sync the rota with your personal calendar.

Cons

I do not use the time sheet function but the system keeps telling me that I and my staff are running late. I have tried to turn it off but have been unsuccessful. The ability to customise the order in which staff are listed in schedule would be good.

Devolved rota planning. Staff savings. Print savings paper less process.

Pros

Ease of use. Ability to create and edit rotas, track holiday across multiple employees. Record training completed by work areas. Communicate with staff on the newsfeed.

Cons

Changing employee pay mid pay period, having to unapprove timesheets and re approve to apply the correct pay rate. Pulling data out a little tricky if you dont want it into an HR package.

Since we started using Deputy it became much more easy to handle staff schedules and daily problems such as finding staff available when needed. The interface is intuitive and understandable for all. It allows to communicate any changing to the staff very quickly and easily thanks to notifications by mail, text or smartphone app. I definitely recommend it to any company looking for a great rostering system and willing to save time!

Pros

I like it to make easy to schedule and easy to see the schedule. Most of the costumer service is very helpful. I don't necessary to remember a little detail to do somethings, but they are willing to help me.

Cons

It is not flexible to print out things such as the schedule or leave times. It also shows up wrong weekly total hours and hourly rate. Some times someone can not sign in and we don't know why.

rostering all in one place - removed my clunky old spread sheet!

Pros

easy to use, all information in one place. best feature is to see the cost of wages as a percentage of sales - really helps keep things in perspective when rostering. love that I can add specific information about a day - such as public holiday, local event etc.

Cons

I have to pay more for the timesheet function and as a new business, I just can't afford it.

I've gone through a number of different programs for scheduling shifts and time management but I wasn't fully satisfied until I tried Deputy. It makes everything easier, mostly when you have to manage your staff from a different location. Plus the iPhone app works like a charm.

Fantastic quality and service. Would happily use in future.

Pros

Very easy to use. Great tutorial Software.

Cons

Only con was all on me. I was looking for something more along the lines of patient or client scheduling software so this does not fit my need specifically. I loved the layout and ease of it and how it comes with employees already built in to fiddle with and learn the software rather than making you enter it all in yourself as someone new to the product. I was very impressed when rep called and asked if I had any questions or needed assistance. I was actually sad I had to say it was not what I needed.

Pros

It makes managing my employees schedules very easy, and I can do it all from my phone. It's easy to view weekly schedules, and make adjustments. The clock in feature is great, and allows me to track my employees even when I'm not at the location myself.

Cons

The only issue I've noticed so far is copying the schedule from week to week does have some functionality issues that create minor redundancies.

Pros

Scheduling really intuitive. Also the notifications for staff are a great way to make sure they know they are working.

Cons

Wish there was a way to input more information for our staff to use this as more of a go to communication tool. We need more info to communicate for our events business and the tool allows for a place holder, but we still need to send out info. But we can live with this.

Pros

The ability for our people to clock in and out when there offsite working a job. Being able to see availability of workers on off days.

Cons

Not being ablet to see the entire schedule at once. We have multiple locations that work is performed and it would be better if they all could be viewed on one screen. Instead we have to click on each individual location to see whos working that day.
