We've used Deputy for over a year now & find it an incredibly valuable business tool. Perfect for rostering, staff holidays, communications with the team & integrating with payroll to make life a heck of a lot easier. It's easy to use, fast to set people up & my staff find it perfect for keeping track of their shifts & rostered times. Anytime we need help, someone is always there on chat quickly to help. Highly recommend to anyone !!

Keeps me organized! Probably one of the best scheduling/staffing apps out there organizing my company's staffing, scheduling and payroll

Pros

Easy to see shifts and get plans for the week. Great to be able to have all staff info in one place.

Cons

Hard to change shifts for staff if I only have access on my phone. This is hard as we are a company that is in the go and I might need to change things while not at a computer.

I was looking for an easy to use and not too expensive scheduling software for the beginning. The more advance programs are great but we would not yet use all the features. After searching I am happy to start using Deputy. Its easy to log in. Overview is great. Information can be put in so easily. It has everything we need for the start to organize everybody.

Pros

Love the minimalist design, the messaging/communication features. Easy to find the major features that I need to do my work.

Cons

Can't think of anything I haven't liked yet. I did find that I could not see the sale budget data that I entered manually for some reason.

This application is brilliant. It's functionality and ease of use has totally revamped our management of labour hire onsite . Having labour on multiple sites can stretch your resource management so being able to track when and where everyone is at one time is awesome! Highly recommend!

Deputy is, in general, a decent system for scheduling and tracking employee time sheets. Personally, I think it's a little overpriced. I've also found the Newsfeed and Tasks feature useless. The scheduling software can be a bit buggy at times, especially on a mobile device, but is overall pretty good. I'm happy with Deputy, but sometimes find myself wondering if there is a better system out there with a better pricing model for small businesses.

Pros

Features and functionality. Mobile time-tracking app is great.

Cons

The pricing model for small businesses. Can be a bit buggy at times (especially copy/pasting shifts). Mobile web experience is poor at best I find myself needing to use my laptop or desktop to schedule shifts.

We've been running Deputy for about a year or so, it's very easy to master and we now have all of our staff checking their schedules and making leave requests via the app. We also have a large amount of part time labour on hourly rates and it makes managing those staff and generating pay reports very simple. All in all I would say it's made life a lot easier for everyone in the business, not just the managers.

Software is easy to use. Very user friendly. The app is great. Customer service is very helpful. I had an issue and they took all the time to look into it and fix it. They were very on top of the situation and I never had to wait long to get an update. Very impressed.

Deputy has helped me save time when doing anything to do with schedule shift for my employees and doing there pays. It has also prevented any mistakes when doing the weekly pays.

Extremely simple and user friendly. Has everything my company needs. Easy to approve hours and schedule. Love the GPS clock in tracking.

Cons

Cannot run a payroll report summary. I have to run a per employee per day for the two week payroll period, not a one page total.

There scheduling is very easy and basic resorts are also very easy. The staff enjoy it and many have been using it's features.

Cons

The biggest issue I have seen so far is that there is no report that shows weekly hours that factors for both weekly and daily over time.

It is nice and easy to enter all details in and then being able to simply click on the date and add the man to the new job

Cons

When an employee is at 3 jobs in one day you can only see on the scheduler main dashboard the hours he is booked out for but not the job names

Easy use to copy and paste shifts, setting up payment of staff with all the award rates included, just makes life simple.

Cons

Cant always tell what the problem is when one of the staff is flagged so takes a little bit of time and changing of shifts to sort this issue

Deputy has made scheduling my staff so easy. I can create the schedule online and then e-mail or text message out the final schedule. I really love that staff can pick up extra shifts themselves. I also love the messaging feature where staff can communicate with one another. When I send out a message I can ask for confirmation to ensure that everyone received the message. Very handy!
