TERRIBLE. If you go to Trustpilot which is a product review company you will see REAL reviews- not all these fake 5 star reviews

Pros

NOTHING. This product sent incorrect award codes to MYOB then blamed MYOB for overpayments. Deputy creates pay rules- it sends the pay rules to MYOB to tell it how much to calculate the base rate by. It incorrectly paid juniors, public holiday rates, overpaid Sunday rates. Markets itself as award compliant

Cons

For Australian Users - this product is NOT COMPLIANT to pay in accordance with the awards. There is ZERO customer service and ZERO recourse to get any of the money back overpaid to staff. There is a clause in the terms and conditions that you cannot do a class action and their compensation for errors is $100

Overall, Deputy is a useful workforce management tool that improves scheduling efficiency and team organization. It provides good value for money and security when everything runs smoothly and offers a secure environment for managing employee information. However, improving accuracy in time tracking and making payroll calculations clearer would significantly enhance trust and reliability in the sytem.

Pros

Deputy is very user-friendly and makes scheduling and time tracking straightforward. The mobile app is convenient for clocking in and out, and schedules are clearly displayed, which helps reduce confusion. I also appreciate how it centralizes shift management , making communication between staff and management more efficient. From a value-for-money perpective, it offers solid features for managing teams and reducing manual scheduling work.

Cons

The main downside is occasional inaccuracies in time tracking and total hour calcutions. The pay and payment process could be more transparent, especially when reviewing total hours before payroll is finalized. Additionally, customer support response times could be improved, and some features feel restricted depending on user access levels.

My overall experience with Deputy was good. The app offers strong functionality for scheduling, timekeeping, and staff management. While there was a learning curve at first, it performed well once set up and in regular use.

Pros

I liked how user‑friendly the Deputy app is. It made scheduling, clock‑ins, and team communication easy to manage, and the real‑time updates were especially helpful.

My experience with Deputy has been positive. It has made managing shifts and staying updated much easier. It’s a helpful tool for both staff and managers, even though there are small areas that could be improved.

Pros

Deputy makes scheduling very easy and organised. It’s simple to use, and I like how I can see my shifts clearly and get updates quickly. It also helps with communication between staff and management, which makes work smoother.

Cons

Sometimes the app can be a bit slow or glitchy, especially when trying to load shifts. Also, some features are not very clear at first and take time to understand.

Overall, my experience with Deputy has been very positive. The platform provides a comprehensive and efficient solution for managing schedules, tracking employee hours, and maintaining clear communication within a team. Despite some minor technical limitations, Deputy consistently delivers on its core functionalities and contributes to a more organized and productive workflow. Pros

Deputy is really easy to use and saves a lot of time. I especially like the mobile app and how simple it is to manage schedules and shifts. I liked how user-friendly and intuitive Deputy is. It makes scheduling shifts, tracking hours, and managing team availability really simple. The ability for employees to swap shifts and communicate within the app also improves team coordination

Cons

At times, certain features aren’t very intuitive, especially for new users. It can take some time to fully understand all the tools and settings. I wish there was a different view for monthly schedules as well.

I will certainly give a 9.5/10 to deputy , not just a big fan of the last update for timesheet approvals

Pros

Ib been using Deputy since years , its convenient and efficient , might not be the cheapest in the market but certainly the best

Cons

The user platform is really quick to get the hang of , you can transform everything to excel spreadsheet too which fits how we run our businesses

Average. Needs to improve sales team and support by a mile. They got potential but losing because of their crappy CS.

Pros

It is easy to sue once set up. Setup takes a while and their sales or support is very lackluster and the CS is very slow.

Cons

Slow CS and they are not very knowledgeable. I end up setting up from other users. It is very hard to get answers.

It was overall very positive! It's one of the best, if not the best tool I've used of its kind so far.

Pros

It was very easy to use and the user interface was simple for the user to figure things out their own. Offering and swapping shifts were a breeze.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything negative about it since I last used it. Maybe it could add a dark mode.

I used it as a retail manager for over 2 years and was always thankful it existed. Support was helpful on the few occasions I needed it.

Pros

It's so easy to use on both a manager and employee POV. It's so user friendly! I love that you can assign shifts, remove shifts, swap and edit shifts easily. You can also very easily time track employees, which makes payroll much easier.

Cons

The mobile app vs desktop experience is a bit different, and I found notifications hard to manage sometimes.

I love the deputy platform. As an employee it is very convenient to know your schedule and clocking in and out of work.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use and understand the deputy platform. I used deputy with previous companies which i have worked for.

Cons

It takes a little while to learn the capabilities of the deputy platform. Features such as requesting a day off from your company will take navigating for a few days.
