Pros

In the myriad of CAD Software with huge pricing, it is not affordable for all. But fortunately I got aware of this CAD and went for owning the License. Meets my work needs. Liked the product.

Cons

Bugs enhancement and updates are regular. Great work by Actcad support as well. Everytime ready to address with a solution.

Like ActCADs functionality and price.

Pros

Works like the big name in CAD software, function keys, keyboard shortcut, etc. I was mostly using ActCAD while working from home during COVID 19. My company uses the brand name CAD software. I was able to use it at home, but with server issues, software updates and sometimes not being able to log into the software, I purchased ActCAD after trying other software. This was better than not being able to do my work.

Cons

This was not a big concern, but I could not get a .lsp to load properly.

Same document quality of dwg and dfx with very cost effective software. No need to learn any new command and tool location.

Pros

We are electrical panel manufacturing small scale company. All electrical drawings are part of each project. In todays compitative market product and document quality need at best level. For design document CAD tool is must and ActCAD made it easy for us with licence version which is fitting in our budget. All dwg and dfx files, all feature of AutoCAD really satisfy our requirement of price and quality.

Cons

Till date network licence is not available but in near future that will be the part of bundle as per discussion with Indian marketing team. But this update will be available to us free of cost by ActCAD.

Experience is poor. Larger size drawings get stuck up due to very high RAM usage.

Pros

The software was sold at low price. But when used, it did not help us to produce drawings.

Cons

Consumes high RAM capacity. Moderately big size drawings get stuck up frequently, causing frustration and loss of business.

Reason for choosing ActCAD

Low Price.

When i was unable to spend high amount of money on other top cad software for multiple systems, actcad helped me solve the problem with affordable price and full functionality.

Pros

First, it's ease of use. Second, it's wide functionality. The third one is its affordability (i.e value for money spent) and The Fourth one is their support. Their support staff are easy to reach and fast in sending their responses.

Cons

It will be great if speed increases further though it is better than all other cad software compared.

Pros

This software provides with every possible tool for 2D drafting and 3D modelling. With this software I am able to optimize my time and create quick sketches.

Cons

The software has a one time registration fees which gives out a pricey feel. The vendors should consider launching monthly subscription packages.

### "Excellent Product with Auto CAD Compatibility"

Pros

I am employed in a small business and ARC CAD does a good job in meeting our needs. The program has similar functionality to Auto CAD and can easily be transferred to other computers. Customer support is great and I love not be burdened by annual subscriptions.

Cons

I would like more control over default parameters including the file type to open on power up. And, most important, I would like to see a lower cost to upgrade from year to year.

Pros

Most commands similar to autodesk. Able to open autocad files.

Cons

Integration with autocad. Had some difficulty opening files in autocad after working in actcad.

I commented above about slowness in opening large 3D projects, crashes, problems with paperspace viewports and conceptual rendering of views.

Pros

It is set up very much like AutoCAD which has been my primary software.

Cons

I found that it is very slow in opening previous large AutoCAD 3D projects and recently it crashed in doing so. Also I had difficulty viewing drawings with conceptual views in paperspace viewports. It seemed awkward and not the same as I was used to.

Cons

Saving and changing blocks aren't the best and can be a hassle.

Pros

The display buttons are almost the same as Autocad or ZwCad and this makes it very easy to user to adapt to ActCad. The options available under draw are more. Format is easier. Most important is the built in PDF to DWG convertor which saves a lot of time.

Cons

There is very little to dislike about this software.

I have to collaborate frequently with users of dwg files, and ActCAD is the best to do this interoperability (and easy to use it, of course).

Cons

Nothing so far. I encountered some minor problems in the 2019 version but in the 2020 version they were resolved.

It works for me

Pros

I am a retired Design engineer Actcad is similar to Acad that I have used in my work before retirement and it was cheap enough to fit my limited budget. This is my hobby -to draw up design and then to fabricate in my shed

Cons

The scaling to print is something I cannot get right which is a great limitation The help does not help most of the time and spend hours figuring out things.

Pros

Normally users are well trained with AutoCAD. ActCAD command line is similar to AutoCAD which is user friendly. No more additional training are required for ActCAD.

Cons

Many a times software gets hanged and eventually entire system gets hanged. Also software do not allow several commands to be performed like AutoCAD

Pros

It is very similar to other cad programs therefore the learning curve is very short. I like the feature that program will automatically save file you are working when the program or computer crashes. That has saved a lot of time.

Cons

The program is crashing once in awhile. There may not be enough RAM or some other setting on computer or program.

### "Great autocad substitute, but tends to crash"

In spite of the fact that it can sometimes crash, I've found that ActCAD is a really solid cad software, and for the price you pay it really works like a charm.

Pros

I really love ActCAD, it is a really good autocad substitute, it is much cheaper, and comes with almost every type of functions you need for basic engineering designs, plus It is faster than simmilar programs in the market.

Cons

I have experienced some instances in which the systems is hanged and my program restarts, which results in missing data and reworking.

It is good for offered cost. Also customer support is amazing. It is similar to Autocad so we may replace this with autocad but with some improvement.

Cons

Not smooth with less RAM like autocad. Somtimes hangs. Also some snaps, layer issues. Some entities can not seen that we see in autocad
