Further, one simply cannot do effective risk-based monitoring (RBM) in the absence of timely data. Lastly, this tool enables the merging of non-CRF data with CRF data, and to include those data in reports. Pros I most like the access to real-time data. As far as I am aware, no other tool on the market has an eSource-enabled (direct data-entry) feature that has been used successfully for FDA submissions and/or approvals. As well, the staff at Target Health provide the truly outstanding customer service. Cons I would like to see the addition of ad hoc reporting or data interrogation. While the tool does come with very useful "canned" reports, and can be easily further customized with additional reports, having the ability to support on-the-fly, ad hoc, data interrogation would help tremendously. The flexibility is also of great value and we have been able to run very complex protocols and programs with it. Important to point out that it has passed thorough inspections from both European and US (FDA) regulatory bodies. Worth mentioning is also the excellent service level and timelines. Cons If I have to mention something, It would bethe user interphase of the eCRF. The content covers what it should but a more modern user interphase would be welcome. The costs and time savings the software brings is phenomenal and I am satisfied with all the features and functions that the software has to offer. Pros The patented eSource EDC software is user friendly and makes clinical trial management and monitoring much more efficient. The introductory overview from THI prior to use was very helpful and instructions were easy to follow. Despite the 12 hours time difference, the elite team at THI was very responsive and able to stand by and offer technical assistance when needed. Equipped with multiple features that minimize human intervention for data entry and monitoring, the THI software allowed improved accuracy and efficiency with significant cost savings. The ability to review data in real time significantly reduced transcription and human errors, thus improving the overall integrity of data. The THI eSource EDC software is an amazing and powerful product that can help any big and small Pharma, Biotech companies to conduct clinical trials easier, faster and cheaper without compromising quality. Pros The ease of creation and adaptability. The software makes clinical research much more efficient. Less on site monitoring, less source document verification, less transcription error and human error.....basically the Target Health software reduces the human part of data entry and monitoring thus saving sponsors significant costs. Cons I do not have any items about the software that I do not like the least. For improvements, I think that a "new user" training or introduction to Target's software would be beneficial because not all colleagues in clinical research have used this type of software in the past. I also wish I could get all disciplines to view this product. Pros Combining eSource with EDC and using the randomization module and the pharmacovigilance module make a powerful combination to support a study with real-time fully-integrated data reviews. The team is highly knowledgeable and responsive. The system is intuitive and reduces so much redundancy. The integration for pharmacovigilance removes the need for adjudication - everything is entered only once.
