Pros What I love about JackRabbit is how helpful and prompt their customer service has been, time and time again, since I began using their service in 2014. A close second place is the excellent organization and all the various tools at my fingertips. We have returned to this superior product. Pros Jackrabbit Music have a great quality database with all the features we need which cuts down on administration labour - such as billing, pro rata, automatic reminder emails to customers, book your own makeup classes. The other amazing feature is the detailed reports available that are completely customisable. Cons Just a few of the American language, spelling and back to front dates. We are an Australian customer and it hasn't been fully switched to the way we do things in Oz. My biggest issue is not have spell check in the system Pros I like that it is designed for Music and the arts in mind. I have been using it for around 4 years now, and I find it mostly easy to use. The redfund process is easy, and the information it provides the studio is beneficial to the business Cons I do not like the homepage. I think it could look cleaner and more organized. It's the primary software that manages all the accounts for our Music School - scheduling and billing. We primarily focus on private lessons. I will say that Jackrabbit does seem to be more geared towards group classes, like for dance or karate schools. But it suits our needs. Pros Jackrabbit works well as a basic CRM, but is especially good at keeping our lesson scheduled intact and for recurring billing. Cons I'm not sure what the annual downtime is, but there have been a few outages throughout the year - maybe two or three each year. Registrar Music Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A solid product that is always improving" December 6, 2022 4.0 Pros I really enjoy that I can pull a large variety of reports and have many different items easily tracked (attendance, billing, store items etc). We run both private and group lessons and this is one of the few softwares that we can actually manage both on. It's not perfect as JackRabbit seems to be focused on group lessons but for any hiccups we run into for our group programs I can almost always find a work around. The support staff is also amazing! Always friendly, responds quickly, and has been able to resolve almost every issue I've run into. I also enjoy that Jackrabbit tracks who's made the last change/edit to anything in the program so we can quickly resolve issues that arise. Cons The bane of my existence at this time of year is make up lessons. We have several term ends around this time along with classes that run into the new year and different policies for different classes. So I need to pull the absences/make-ups allowance report and go through each and every absence manually to ensure the correct end date and availability. For this flu season we had about 400 absences in November alone. That takes a lot of my time away and can cause a fair amount of confusion for parents. The only other item I don't understand is why the events seems like almost a separate program from the rest of the platform. It seems like a very interesting feature and I would love to use it more but with it being in a different calendar, that alone makes it almost unusable for us. Review Source EF Ellie F. It has been excellent for us because we are able to track so many different metrics, everything from student progress to inventory to enrollment data. It is an investment in time to set up, but well worth it. Pros This is very a comprehensive program! The reporting, tracking, scheduling and billing features are excellent. Jackrabbit is constantly updating the interface, increasing functionality and improving the user experience. Cons Because it is so comprehensive, it is sometimes very cumbersome. Setting up classes is very time-consuming. Once you know how to set up the classes so the billing and registration work well, it's easier. Pros I've had excellent experiences with customer support. The training modules are also very helpful. It's worth investing time into those modules and getting the certifications. Cons There are a lot of aspects of the admin interface/dashboard/calendar that I do not care for. I am still finding features that would have been helpful to know about before, but they were sort of hidden in the menus (which are awkwardly named). It would be very helpful to have a feature that lets you "test drive" the Parent Portal - to get a handle on what the viewer sees. I can email, run payments, check schedules, clock hours in one spot. The interface with Quickbooks is easy, too. We are new to student portals and connecting resources for virtual learning, but so far that is going well. Cons There is not much space available for uploading resources for students into their class. However, I have not checked in to see if there is an option to upgrade.
