### "ZoomInfo for B2B Software Sales"

January 9, 2026

4.0

Overall, ZoomInfo has been a crucial part of my day to day in sales with prospecting and allows me to not only easily import contact information into the CRM I use (Salesforce) but it also allows me to focus on target accounts.

Pros

I have to prospect a lot in my role and gathering contact information, specifically emails and mobile numbers, has been a huge help. In addition, I'm able to apply settings to specific accounts to receive alerts on company updates that are relevant to my role - making it easier to reach out.

Cons

Very frequently, the information is outdated. I find mobile numbers can be incorrect, and there are a lot of privacy concerns from individuals when I reach out using the information ZoomInfo has collected.

### "Zoominfo is great for lead and contact data "

August 8, 2025

5.0

My experience with ZoomInfo Sales has been overwhelmingly positive. The depth and accuracy of their contact database have made prospecting significantly easier, and I’ve been able to connect with decision-makers I likely wouldn’t have found otherwise. The platform’s search and filtering tools are intuitive, allowing me to quickly build targeted lists that match my ideal customer profile.

Pros

I appreciate the intent data and company insights - it’s like having a window into which accounts are actively in the market. This has helped me prioritize outreach and focus my time on high-potential opportunities. The integration with our CRM has been smooth, which means less time on admin work and more time selling.

Cons

While the data quality is strong overall, there are occasional inaccuracies or outdated contacts, which can be frustrating when you’re relying on it for high-volume outreach.

### "Highly Aggressive Commercial Terms, Disappointing Product – SME Buyers Beware"

May 21, 2025

1.0

Our experience with ZoomInfo has been overwhelmingly negative. We engaged in good faith, found the product lacking, attempted to exit appropriately, and were then subjected to aggressive and inflexible enforcement, despite ZoomInfo having confirmed in writing that the renewal was void. They have since ignored that position entirely. This feels less like a technology partner and more like a commercial trap. Their approach appears intentionally structured to exploit SMEs who may lack the legal resources to contest their tactics. The level of customer care is virtually nonexistent, and any conversation quickly turns contractual. For additional context, their Trustpilot rating is currently 1.6 out of 5. That alone should serve as a significant warning to others. Our recommendation is simple: avoid ZoomInfo. There are better products, better commercial practices, and better companies to deal with.

Pros

In fairness, the user interface is well presented, and the breadth of integrations and feature marketing is impressive on paper. The onboarding process was structured, and initial contact with their sales team was professionally handled.

Cons

The reality of using the product was a sharp contrast to its presentation. The intent data, heavily marketed as a core value proposition, proved consistently inaccurate and ultimately unusable by our outbound team. Despite significant internal efforts, we saw little to no meaningful return, and our team quickly stopped using the platform altogether. Far more concerning, however, is ZoomInfo's commercial posture. Despite providing a written communication confirming that our renewal had been voided, they later reversed their position and began aggressively pursuing payment for a further year of service. This is despite full knowledge that we do not use, and do not want, the product. Their actions demonstrate a complete absence of commercial integrity and reflect a business model built on rigid enforcement rather than value delivery. Their pricing tactics are similarly problematic – initial proposals run into five figures per month, only to be heavily discounted under pressure. Even at the reduced rate, the product failed to justify its cost. Their entire operation appears structured to extract maximum revenue with minimal accountability, and to lock businesses into unfavourable terms with no regard for the actual experience or outcome.

### "Sales Reps Best Friend"

August 15, 2025

5.0

I first used ZoomInfo Sales in 2018. Since then I have worked for three companies, and two of them bought it after I showed them what it could do. I must be a huge ZoomInfo Champion or just want my companies to succeed.

Pros

I love that you can find out direct lines and email addresses from the people you need to contact as a sales representative.

Cons

The cost can be a burden to some, but I dislike that phone numbers are not updated enough to the point 10% are probably wrong.

### "Zoominfo.com"

Very positive so far but need to keep an eye on credits and wary of their contracutal stance regarding cancellation.

Pros

Nice clean interface and extensive features with quality data. Pretty easy to setup and a great tool for lead generation

Cons

Is costly and will need time to properly extract real value. Need to be careful with credits as they mount up quickly

### "Zoominfo, it good I just wish it was better"

May 20, 2025

3.0

I've been a Zoominfo user in the last two companies I've been with. Although it's not the cheapest platform, it does a good job in finding the companies and contact I need.

Pros

Great access to company and employee contact information. It was easy to integrate with HubSpot and the contact filters are plentiful.

Cons

I would guess about 5%-10% of the contact I've downloaded were no longer with the company. It doesn't have the ability to review other users lists but there is a filter to help prevent creating a list without pulling down previously downloaded contacts. Also, the credit system seems a bit archaic.

### "Okay data solution although more cost effective solutions exist"

August 1, 2025

3.0

Okay experience and not a bad solution but feel that there are more cost effective tools on the market.

Pros

Data quality was okay, particularly for the US. Good search tools within the platform (although prefer Cognism UI)

Cons

Felt like it was an expensive option compared to other products on the market and sales team constantly trying to upsell new expensive addons & features. Not as strong with EU contact data. Never saw anything of value from intent feature.

### "Good product but too expensive"

July 10, 2025

Very persistent but professional. tried to work with me to spread the payments out instead of paying for a full year up front

Pros

It has good search capabilities. I liked all the filters I could apply. Downloading was pretty straightforward and easy to use.

Cons

For me it was unaffordable. They wanted a year payment in advance which was another deal killer. Also, the short time I used it, i got alot more bad email addresses than anticipated

ZoomInfo is a crucial platform for sales teams; it is hard to picture a sales development teen succeeding without this platform.

Cons

The layout of the platform was a bit busy, making it sometimes difficult to find relevant information.

### "A lifesaver!"

April 22, 2025

Very positive. It makes my daily activities a lot more efficient as I can gather contact details at the click of a button while still using other systems.

Pros

I love how easy I can find the contact details for my active leads. I particularly like the chrome extensions which allows me to gather contact details whilst using other systems, such as our CRM.

Cons

Sometimes the data can be inaccurate but this is inevitable and out of Zoominfos control.

### "Overall, ZoomInfo Sales is Great!"

December 19, 2024

5.0

Overall, I am a big ZoomInfo Sales fan. The user friendly design is intuitive, and it has lots of tools to help me find people I often didn't even know. I was looking for. However, when compared with other people-finding tools its information is occasionally out of date.

Pros

ZoomInfo Sales is the only place I know I can go and regularly get the phone numbers of the folks I'm trying to contact. It's also very user friendly, offering me helpful suggestions to expand or narrow my search as needed.

Cons

When cross referenced with other people-finding tools (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Hunter.io) ZoomInfo Sales sometimes has conflicting/inaccurate information. This is not the norm by any means though.

### "A marketer's secret weapon"

January 13, 2025

5.0

I was initially hesitant to use ZoomInfo Sales because I had been under the impression that it would be out of our company's price range. A colleague convinced me to trial ZoomInfo Sales. We compared data from ZoomInfo side-by-side with two other similar tools, and ZoomInfo had a much more robust database than the others. The WebSights tool has yielded more visibility into our website visitors than ever before, and the automation tools automatically send potential prospects into our CRM system. I now use ZoomInfo Sales almost every workday. It has saved me countless hours of gathering contacts and contact information for marketing campaigns, sales requests, etc. The Chrome plug-in is extremely convenient. I don't know of any other tool that comes anywhere close to offering what is provided by ZoomInfo Sales. I hesitate to even post this review, lest one of my competitors sees it.

Pros

ZoomInfo Sales has saved me countless hours of time researching companies and contacts.

Cons

Not 100% accurate data, but still more accurate than any other solutions I've been able to find.

### "Customer service so bad it borders on fraud"

January 29, 2025

1.0

Their business model is a scam, whether intentional or not I don't know. The deal: pay $xx,xxx, in advance, for yyy,yyy number of records. You have 12 months after payment to acquire the records. Every time you ask for records from their database team, they drag their feet for weeks and weeks and weeks. Then at the end of 12 months, when you haven't been able to acquire the number of records you purchased in advance BECAUSE THEY DRAGGED THEIR FEET EVERY TIME YOU ASKED FOR RECORDS, the contract period is up and you are SOL. Unbelievably bad company. Deal with Zoom at your own risk.

Pros

None. If it worked as promised, it would be great. But they simply don't deliver.

Cons

Their business model is a scam. They over promise and under deliver, at extreme cost.

### "A 50% reliability tool, some good features, forgot what made them effective"

November 14, 2024

3.0

ZoomInfo is a mediocre prospecting tool that has built a set of tools around the core need of having relevant, accurate contact data. And in those tools are hits and misses of all sorts. The overall end result is a 50% reliability for me.

Pros

I did like the access to cell phones, I did like the filters to build lists, I liked the functionality of import and export. The customized feed was a nice feature to have as well.

Cons

A lot of fluff versus their core offering. Inability to build effectively off a lead with robust notes and history, the lack of effectiveness of much of their data as it's dated and not effectively updated. The web insights of buyers is bogus and has no relevance. Bells and whistles is the direction they've gone versus substance.

### "If I could only give ZERO Stars! Small business be weary of the vultures here. "

June 21, 2023

1.0

I am a minority owned small business start up. Zoominfo promised that I would be provided with quality information for prospect leads for my small business that was seeking prospects with 1-5 employees. Upon signing up for the service, I found that this was NOT the case. The information for this size company is either missing or inaccurate. IN THE FIRST 30 days, I attempted to contact and let them know. The only people who respond is the AR team when they want money. (or after you pay them upon receipt of the invoice, they continue to contact you until their system updates 3 days later...)They did offer upgrades, however, that just proves they are NOT considering what I am saying. Their product is NOT for my size prospect, it isn't as promised. Attempted to get them to honor their quality guarantee. When they FINALLY put me into contact with their legal dept, they use their crafty legal terms to sneak in and make it impossible for them to be at fault. There is no recourse or anything you can do. Basically if you sign up for their product, regardless if it is as they promised, you are stuck with the USELESS product and have to pay for it.I DO NOT recommend this for any small business. This is a SCAM! They only care about making their sales numbers and profits, not if their product is actually usable for their small business client.

Pros

The sales person who signed me up was very nice. He told me all about the product and how it can help me. Absolutely NOTHING after that. The entire experience has been horrid. I found out later that the information I was told by that "friendly" sales person were deceitful. They will say or do whatever it takes to make their sales quotas and get you to buy.

Cons

Customer service is terrible. They are non responsive (except for AR to get your money), and LIE. The contract "guarantee" isn't one at all due to how it is written. Their legal department are sheisters and have made it so that the NEVER have to honor their product actually providing the information as promised.

Reason for choosing ZoomInfo Sales

Back in 2018 I had an employer who used them, They were a LARGE organization. APPARENTLY, since that time, the service has went down. AFTER my experience, I was attempting to get ANYONE other than AR to respond, I contact the head of marketing & sales at said former employer. Found out they stopped using Zoom info for the same reason! BAD customer support - BAD product information. Should have talked to them BEFORE signing up with them. Lesson learned.

### "ZoomInfo Data Collection"

April 24, 2024

4.0

Overall Zoominfo has quite well database which helps you a lot while doing recon on Brands and Executives on any client. But the other side it's to much costlier.

Pros

I am using Zoominfo from past 3 year for getting Executive and Brand details and according to me it's doing quite well. You can get all C Level, Directors, President/Vice executive details with there email id and Phone number. For brands you can get all the acquisition and subsidiary list. You can import all data into CSV format which is very useful.

Cons

Sometimes many details are missing while doing recon for any client like for brands there recent acquisition are not listed in Zoominfo. Also for Executives many times email ID/Corporate phone numbers are missing which I guess you can get from Othere sources like google search

### "Tons of contacts, a bit clunky and expensive "

February 24, 2023

3.0

It helped me find prospects that I can reach out to with cold email campaigns and I didn't have to spend hours and hours generating my own lists, so it saved me tons of time. Before ZoomInfo, I would spend 4-5 hours generating a manual list of 50 folks. Post ZoomInfo, I could pull a list of 500 people in 5 minutes.

Pros

There are a tons of accurate contact information in the platform, which is great. It was very easy to set up lists for different parts of the country so I could come in every day and pull prospect lists of folks that I want to reach out to. It was also very easy to go in and find one-off contact information for folks that I may stumble upon on LinkedIn or something.

Cons

ZoomInfo charges you a per contact fee and the filtering is difficult to funnel out folks that aren't applicable to me. Often times my list still has folks that aren't my ideal prospect. And filtering them out again before I export to Excel and am charged a credit is nearly impossible and very cumbersome. I wish that piece was easier.

### "Easily the worst company I've ever done business with"

September 10, 2020

3.0

TL;DR — This company does not care one iota about customer service. They do not care about you or your business. They don't care about maintaining a good relationship in the pit of a pandemic. And even when times are fine, they don't care about giving you what they said they'd give you. Here’s the experience \* I spent three months telling the sales rep exactly what I needed. \* Each time I explained it, she said something like, “Our plans just changed since last we spoke, but yes our current offer can meet your needs.” Confusing as all get-out every time she explained it. \* Finally decided to try it, because since they’ve bought out their competitors they’re the only one we could use. \* After two days we realized something was very wrong. \* They basically said, “Oh you need another plan for that.” Note: we did exactly what we said we’d do. \* Kicked it up to sales person’s manager: After 5 mins of listening, “Shoot, we’ve got you on the wrong plan.” Did they change our plan and admit their mistake? Nope... 363 days with the wrong plan and nothing we could do about it but give them more money and hope it would be different. \* We improvised with what we had as best we could, lost a lot of time, didn’t yield what we needed. \* Nine months later I get a surprising call from their collections agency telling me I have to pay a bill. These guys never called me, never sent an “in this together” email. In April, the pit of the pandemic, they just shot me over to collections. Wow.

Pros

The data quality is good and has improved over the past few years. This has been accomplished through numerous acquisitions of competitors, and either they were always a terrible company or the disarray from M&A has cast them into such chaos that all they can do is sell whatever they can get people to agree to buying, and operate a platform. Whatever benefit they provide is so overwhelmingly overshadowed by their apathy and lethargy as a firm that I'm repeatedly reminded of interactions with corrupt functionary bureaucrats in failed states every time I deal with them. This may sound like hyperbole, but I assure you that it is not. I specialize in emerging markets and the only time I've ever seen behavior like I have at this company is in the most forgotten and ungoverned parts of the world — the places where if you don't like what they're serving, or if they didn't do what they promised, you can just go shove it or pay them more and hope that you finally get what you need... eventually.

Cons

We were sold the wrong benefits despite roughly three months of discussing our needs with the sales rep, and the company did absolutely nothing to amend this despite the sales manager's first impression on reviewing the problem being, "Oh shoot, we've got you on the completely wrong plan." So I'm not sure because it only sometimes met our needs and the company never revised our plan and blithely ignored our requests for them to do so.

Reason for choosing ZoomInfo Sales

They've bought their competitors. I'd love to find a decent alternative and give them all my money at this point.

Switched from

[DiscoverOrg](https://www.capterra.com/p/225636/DiscoverOrg/)

DiscoverOrg bought ZoomInfo and billed it as the better option for smaller companies. Despite an underwhelming experience with DiscoverOrg, I prayed for something better with ZoomInfo and was absolutely painstaking in making sure I was getting what I needed from a plan with them. Needless to say, I didn't get what I needed whatsoever and, worse, they did nothing to fix it.

### "ZoomInfo is the comfortable, reliable, familiar"

September 10, 2021

4.0

Overall I like ZoomInfo. I selected them because of prior experience and its brand recognition. That being said, while they offer a lot of capabilities and products, specializing in one area is just not their M.O. - at least that's what it feels like. Because of that, competitors who focus on providing one service (i.e. buyer intent) oftentimes are of higher quality (and much cheaper). They are the essence of "comfortable," which may or may not be the most important factor when deciding on your overall tech stack.

Pros

The continual acquisitions to improve their product and company. The accuracy of their contact data is pretty good. Their company data is really good. Integration with Salesforce is pretty straightforward. Lots of features and capabilities to choose from.

Cons

Customer support takes a long time. Their contact data is not always up to date especially with linkedin. No "left company" update/alert that I know of. Not a very robust integration/sync with Linkedin. Enrichment feature has been failing recently.

### "Topmost Customer Database Software in USA"

February 4, 2022

5.0

I am using ZoomInfo for last 5 years from previous company and also using in my present company. It has great experience to use Intent, Scoops section, Enhance section. All these features are very useful. Very much satisfied and I will definitely suggest zoomInfo to others, my friends, colleagues.

Pros

I like the scoops and Intent section very much. Scoops and Intent Signals helps us to find out most relevant and needy business via good leads and companies. It is very easy to use scoops and Intent section to prepare the companies list or contacts list. It helps a lot to our company

Cons

The companies and contacts database of Middle East (MENA) and APAC region is very less as compared to other regions. Most of the contacts does not have direct or mobile numbers so we are facing difficulties to connect with prospect or targeted customers of those region. All other is set.

### "Zoominfo Review"

April 20, 2020

5.0

Zoominfo has been an incredible resource. I have implemented at 3 different sales departments and will continue to require it as part of my sales tool set. I was surprised to find that in outing previous contact databases for Zoominfo, the company was paying about the same, if not more, for databases of half the size and little-to-no direct contact info. There are some startups with a fraction of the database that may be a better price-fit for individual users, but I think you're doing it wrong, if you're using: - Insideview or Dun&Bradstreet (not even comparable for direct contact info, for around the same price) - Rainking (great tool for companies targeting IT Departments, has similar detail in contact info, but not as extensive of database)

Pros

The accuracy of the data. Zoominfo has more direct dials, including cell phone numbers and desk extensions, than any contact database on the market. Zoominfo also provides emails for just about all of the contacts in it's database and does a good job of verifying/updating these contacts/emails regularly.

Cons

Zoominfo has very detailed data across all firmographics, but their employee count for small businesses (between 5-15 employees) is often inaccurate. For instance, in populating a list of companies with 10 or more employees, a lot of those 10-person companies may only have one or two... Not a big deal, in considering their accuracy for companies with over 20 employees and all the other pros. It use to be a 'steal', but the pricing has continued to increase since Discoverorg purchased it. Still a very reasonable price for it's value, but it is becoming frustrating as the costs continue to increase significantly. They have a minimum, which amounts to ~$5,000/yr, which makes it inaccessible to individual users.

Reason for choosing ZoomInfo Sales

Rainking does not have the same depth for contacts. It has extensive contacts within IT departments and identifies c-level contacts at a lot of companies, but not nearly as extensive of a database. Worth considering if only targeting IT professions. Has the same comparable level of direct contact info and a cool feature for viewing department diagrams for hierarchy of employees.

Switched from

[InsideView](https://www.capterra.com/p/178108/Apex/)

For reasons stated above. Zoominfo has far greater direct contact info. Insideview is comparable for emails (although not as accurate), but can not be compared for direct phone numbers (they mainly only provide company phone).
