Pros: Going from regular skype to this made the learning curve quite small, the ability to move between the two is a big plus!

Cons: somewhat limited functions at times compared to other video chat software, but more than adequate for the majority of purposes.

Pros: I love that I can see my coworkers availability immediately. It is also easy to transmit files instantly.

Cons: One thing I do not like about this is how it displays multiple conversations. I often type the wrong message in the wrong window.

I have used S4B/Lync for many years. When it works it is great, otherwise it is horrible.

Pros: I love being able to video chat with my team, and during the screen sharing being able to take remote control of their PCs if I need to show them something or vice versa.

Cons: It constantly freezes, it constantly drives my processor usage up to 100% causing my PC to freeze. We have daily audio issues with the three of us that meet, and we are constantly having to drop and re-join.

Overall: When it is working, I can stay in touch with my team, and via the video chat function, it is just like we work in the same office even though we are spread out all across the country.

Pros: I like that I can easily create a Skype meeting in Outlook without much effort. I also like that I can either use the audio through my speakers and microphone or have the meeting call me on another number, like a cell.

Cons: I do find the quality of the call and screen sharing can be very poor when many participants are on the call. This can be due to poor internet connections, but also when the connections is fine I still experience degradation

Overall: The ability to collaborate with team members in various parts of the world

Pros: It worked well for chatting and talking with people in your Skype network. We were used to regular Skype and this version is very different and takes some time getting used to. If everyone you talk to has Skype and is in your network, this is a great tool.

Pros: it is a great tool to speck with other employees in the company. It is very convenient. I love to use this product.

Pros: The ability to reach out and talk to individuals in my team and Company wide if needed. works faster than email or phone calls.

Cons: would like to see more features concerning personalization. More options for grouping individuals to separate people in to groups or teams.

Pros: When it works, it's awesome. But mostly it's when I'm an attendee, it never goes well when I try to set up a meeting somehow.

Cons: I have had a client successfully setting up the meeting for me, I signed in successfully, yet he nor his colleagues could not figure out how to add my colleague to the call, because there was no such option even after inspecting everything in the UI... We spent 30 mins exploring that and decided to end the meeting.

Pros: How quick it is to works and how it connects really really quickly overall this would have to be my favourite feature of from this Microsoft product and it is great for business as well as personal uses such as overseas calls and personal ones as well

Cons: Space is one thing I think this lacks as it takes up a lot of space when downloading which is probably the only con that I can think of with regards to the Microsoft product overall not a bad product

Pros: Video call and audio call features are the key features of this software.

I used this tool on daily basis and it is very much need of my job. we contacted each and every vendor or their support with skype. it is easy to setup and reliable and mainly compatible with most of the organization hence internal communication can be done quickly.

max 256 members can join - I never had done conference call with these many users but it has capability of 256.

MUCH MUCH business need - Small or big organization - it is very much needed and this is best software by MS till date. too many improvements and still they are trying their best to give high end quality.

Cons: Sometimes voice clarity and lagging in presentation or sharing screen.
Integration with outlook gets hanged and machine stops working or too many errors if anything goes wrong - this is happened with me several times.

Overall: Beast in industry. Much need and highly recommened. be it small or big organization every organizations basic need is this :P

Comments: It is a great way to stay in contact with my employees, subcontractors, and customers.

Pros: I love the interface, all the extra functions and the abilities to customise it exactly to meet my needs.

Cons: It can be a little bit clunky but I suppose that is the nature of VOIP software in general that its not going to be 100% all of the time.

Comments: I love it for business and other people working with it do to.

Pros: Many positives, this program connects right to my phone and computer and is so smooth for conference calls and sharing my screen. I can see many people in the company and what their current status is and as a manager to see when they come in

Cons: Sometimes doesn't load properly but I blame windows for that not Skype. Also, the status can stay locked on busy when I know they are not. Sometimes it is just stuck and won't refresh.

Skype for Business is a one stop for collaboration.

Comments: Overall this product is a massive help to my company and to my job. I couldn't go a day without using it at work.

Pros: I love the collaboration tools that it has to offer. There are many different things like screen sharing, video conferencing, file sharing, and many others. This software is a power house and is one of my daily drivers to keep me connected to the many employees in the company I work for. Easy for AD Authentication setup.

Cons: File sharing size limitations. Other than that I can't think of many. There are some AD authentication tweaks that could be made. But nothing specific

Pros: Skype for business is a great application because as a user i am able to do a few things such as; Obviously Messaging, video calls, create groups and chat within, but more importantly i am able to share documents and images, and also skype for bushiness sync well with outlook. The is the most important feature I love, since all my meetings automatically pull up skype messaging.

Moreover, there is an app for android and IOS users to use skype for business and it syncs well with the desktop application i can take my calls and messaging on the go if i am not at my desk. Also i can record my sessions for meetings which is built in the app.

And last but not the least is, the status; Skype for business is the best feature of all, i am able to see who is on the call or is busy or even available.

Cons: Perhaps to include history option for chats, it would be good to store recent chats or even archive them and store them over the cloud, because once i delete the chat i cannot recover the chats.

Overall: The great features are for using this application: Instant Messaging, video calls, share docs and other files, ability to chat on the go via mobile app, ability to invite multiple attendees, create groups for chats, and much more.

Great Software. Get what you expect!

Pros: Ease of Use, multiple functions and easily configured to any phone system. Share screens, remote assistance, and the best of all: video conferencing made easy! Cannot also beat the price, compared to other options out there. Fully Microsoft Integration is the way to go!

Cons: Last of 911 calling and blocking/call back options. These features should be included in a future release as they are necessary and what holds some back.

Overall: collaboration is the key: easy, fast and very reliable.

I think overall Skype is dying ...

Pros: Of course, Skype is an awesome software, where you can chat and video message with the people you want.

Cons: Truth is, Skype is lacking of a lot of stuff right now. It should have a "lite" version, with just the features that Facetime has, we want a simple and easy-to-use software!

Pros: It is easy to do quick live sessions with peers. As a tester, it is helpful to be able to share what I am seeing with developers. Easy to connect and collaborate

Cons: Finding conversation history can difficult and confusing. If a user is offline, we have noticed that instant messages will sometimes not get delivered.

Pros: It is free when your company has Office 365 subscription. Product has great features built in, like desktop and controls sharing, which makes it very useful for conference. There is a possibility to organize a call with a person who does not have skype for business.

Cons: It's not intuitive at many places. Hard to find a link to invite a person without skype for business installed. Technical problems: camera or microphone may stop working after weeks of no problems. Can crash during a call and the only solution after that is to restart the pc.

Pros: The fact that it signs in automatically upon startup makes it efficient. I prefer using Lync to using e-mail because my chats tend to get answered at a higher rate of success than my e-mails. This is because users on the other end get a notification (blinking window) and that our clients don't really use it. So, there is a lower chance that my messages get lost.

Cons: One bug or a feature that I am not a big fan of is the status change. Sometimes the status keeps saying Away until you realize it and you almost have to signout and then sign back in to show that you are online.

Pros: Great to indicate availability, and reach other people quickly. Very useful in conference calls, with ability to present one's desktop or send over documents. Links well to Outlook, with ability to add Skype calls into Outlook conference call invites, or to message someone directly by selecting their contact in an email.

Cons: Can be very distracting, as chats will continue to pop up every time a new message is sent, even after pressing 'Ignore'. Sometimes does not work very well, and the line can be quite choppy, or messages may not get sent. Often struggle sending documents across.

Pros: It is like the normal skype so you don't need to learn new things, and you have all the coworkers there, you just need to search by their name and they will appear there, that's amazing! Another thing that i like a lot of skype for business is that you can know if someone is available or not.

Cons: Connection issues every once and awhile. Otherwise, to be honest, I haven't run into any other issues outside of spotty connectivity issues that have only happened a handful of times.

Pros: What I like most about Skype for Business is how easy it is to use as a web conferencing tool. At work, we share our desktops, video chat and IM of course! Whether connecting with colleagues across the building, or the country, Skype is the best all around - hands down.

Cons: Skype for Business crushes the competition. I don't have a single con or anything I "like least about this software." I look forward to future updates and features.

Pros: Many tools to be used to communicate to your coworkers. Gives you the option to share your screen which is great to facilitate communication and support if needed.

Cons: A bit heavy. The software is good but needs to be implemented in a way that runs smoothly on your PC or cellphone. When a channel is created and the admin leaves, the channel cannot be closed or remove members from it.

Pros: Generally easy to use, no fuss no muss. Overall good call quality, even when calling internationally. I appreciate that I can use the same sign in as on the rest of my work accounts, saving me from remembering yet another password.

Cons: Video quality is variable, although that's probably not always the fault of the product. Occasionally, students have trouble finding my invites when it comes time to interview, but that may be user error. No major complaints.

Pros: moved from Linkedin to Skype for Business. This product is fairly easy to use. Makes for ease in video meetings-i like the feature that it does email you conversations you missed-linkedin did not.

Cons: its a little difficult to navigate until you know what you are doing-the screen sharing option is kind of hidden -but they do have good mapping materials available.

Pros: Skype for Business allows me to stay in touch with my team in an instant, as we are all across different areas of the company. I love the ability to quickly communicate with my staff and find employees in the directory.

Cons: Sometimes Skype for Business takes a little while to load when first starting up your desktop, but overall there is nothing I don't like about the software.

Pros: Our office is located in old house that has 3 floors. Skype lets me see who is away from their desk without calling them on their phone and possibly disturbing the person who shares the office. We also have people that work from their home, I get to see if they are at their computer waiting for a conference or chat without having to pick up the phone. Skype shows me how long they have been away from their desk. I can also add other people that I might want to contact and know if they are "available" for a chat. I can also then see when someone has arrived back at their desk and then call them. I love this feature.

Cons: Sometimes setting up some of the other features are not that easy. If you are not an administrator some of the instructions are not that easy to follow especially when you are setting up on a laptop versus a desktop with a camera.

Overall: Seeing who is available at my office without having to repeatedly call or email them.

Cons: -Sporadic connection issues. Sometimes requires a reboot of PC. I would estimate this happens about 5% of the time.

Pros: Access remote and world wide co-workers with messaging, phone or video calls and screen sharing. Easy to connect and collaborate.

Cons: Connection can be poor which affects the audio and visual feature, which is frustrating. Nothing worse than a "can you hear me" in the middle of the meeting and having to repeat yourself!

Pros: We use this on occasion to interview prospective candidates. It has been reliable thus far and has saved us time and money since we can vette candidates more efficiently via video chat (as opposed to having them come in/fly in for an in-person interview).

Overall: Great tool for saving time and money (not having to bring in prospective candidates for an in-person interview).

Pros: This is a fantastic product. Easy to use, set up is simple. Very effective program to connect with colleagues and plan business meetings. Useful app on phone, makes it easy to connect quickly. And to make if fun the characters that can be inserted move. Great product

Pros: Skype for Business is very good in a corporate network. It integrates very well in the Exchange/Outlook family of products. Audio-videoconferencing and screen sharing are on a par with the best rival products.

Cons: "skype" is just a nickname for marketing reasons. The product used to be named Lync and is a separate product, relying on a different network than the free Skype. This imposes some limitations (and some random bugs) when Business users need to call "free" users. Also, the program is a memory hog and has some problem sharing devices (Mic and Webcam) with other videoconferencing software on the same PC. Finally, the product may be very expensive, but this depends on your licensing agreement with Microsoft

Pros: - Easy to use especially for Windows users
- Seamless integration with windows and outlook
- Lower cost for Office 365 users

Cons: - While Skype for Business works well internally as an online meeting tool I constantly have issues using it externally (with participants from different companies) for various issues including installation issues on specific non-windows OS or browsers and stability of the audio-video stream.

Overall: Easy to use unified communication tool that is well-integrated with Windows and outlook

Pros: Quality of calls and how easy it is to drag documents into a convo window to send to others. Work phone on your computer anywhere as long as you have network connection. Can redirect to your mobile phone, seamless switching. integrate to your Operating system.

Pros: My work requires constant contact with colleagues at a location out of state, and we use Skype all the time to talk to them in a face to face meeting setting. More importantly, we can share our screens which is extremely important when it is required that we share data and information to others working on our project. This is by far the best and easiest way to do so.

The interface is also very easy to use, and I have never had any issues with getting either side to connect and use the screen sharing.

Cons: Sometimes the connection is spotty, which hurts both sides as we are very busy and do not have a lot of time for technical difficulties. Although these problems are rare, they are still prevalent and should be fixed as soon as possible.

There is some lag in the chat as well, and other aspects of the software can be slow and frustrating.

Overall: A good software for meetings with associates who are in a different location. It is crucial to be able to share our screens, and makes transmission of data and information that much easier.

Pros: Favorite feature of Skype for Business is how it integrates with Outlook. This allows me to search through conversation history later on to find important information.

Cons: I really wish they would improve the emoji set. I understand it's marketed/built for business users but c'mon.

Overall: Gives me fast easy access to my co-workers and peers to send them messages or see their current status/availability.

Really great experience, a lot more interesting feature than the normal skype

Pros: You can use it in business like we do here and we use to for the student , the student can collaboerate with skype business user and normal skype user and make a conference call with a lot more user than the normal one !

Cons: It's difficult for student to add no business user , the interface for this is not intuitive for normal user, we have need here to make a tutorial for the student but appart that it's a great software

Pros: Allows contact of Skype users, phone numbers, and all employees within the organization. Video and audio recording in calls. Supports up to 250 attendees in a meeting.

Cons: Online plans don't work with hardware phones. Not a full-fledged VoIP platform. No integrated dial-in audio conference features.

Pros: Video conferences are common in our daily routine. Skype makes it possible with zero effort thanks to its friendly interface. Screen sharing is one of the best features of Skype for business, having the ability to share your desktop or a specific app keeps every conference clean and professional.

Cons: Sometines you can experience connectivity issues, and it can take a while to get connected again, but after you get through it performance improves. Also the price could be lower.

Overall: Having the ability to communicate with team members or sharing screen in video conferences spares us the need to have meetings in situ. Sometimes we need to show plans and drawings to clients or to our boys on the field, instead of sending a mail with the file attached we just call them and share our screen.

Pros: I like that it aids business owners in communicating and growing their business with potential clients/other business partners. It works just like regular Skype, but solely for your business, which helps keep the personal separate from the professional.

Cons: The only thing I would maybe change about the software would be the video chat speed. It works just fine, but at times, like with all other video chatting softwares, it will lag a bit.

Overall: Being able to contact my boss and set up video chats with the other group members.

Pros: - You can add up to 250 to an online meeting.
- The ability to chat via messaging rather then ringing, this means I can quickly write a message and let someone get back to me when they can if they are unable to answer the phone.
- Its really handy being able to type a number and see the name as well, or in contrast typing the name of someone and having the number come up so I can easily find someone in the business quickly.
- Helps the business save on travel expenses as we can easily communicate from a skype video call.
- It integrates with other Microsoft products which we use within the business which is really handy.
- Works on all devices that are used within the business whether that be iOS, Android and windows phone.

Cons: - Sometimes the video calls can lag or have issues but that is down to the wifi probably more then the software.
- The odd times it can have errors but that is a incredibly small amount of times that it may have ever occured.

Overall: As a company we really benefit as we save a lot of money from not having to fork out a lot on travel expenses as we can communicate via a video call. Additionally we also save a lot of time as we have a easily accessibly address list at hand available where we can search for not only numbers but names making us more efficient at work. Finally one big benefit is the ability to forward calls on so we can use to on multiple devices if we are not at our desk meaning we never miss a call at all.

A great functional online video/teleconferencing software that has come a long way. A good product.

Pros: It's simple, video and teleconferencing work well, provides chat features and sharing. The user interface is effective and easy to use and train others in, and the tools within, like sharing screens to those in the meeting, works very well. It's easy to setup conferences and collaborate with your contacts.

Cons: As an IT administrator of this product for our campus, I would like to see persistent chat rooms for teams and departments to utilize for ongoing discussions, including message history, and membership management intregated into Active Directory. I believe this is on the roadmap, but will exist in a separate software package initially, which to me, is not desired. I would like to see them integrate chat and video conference into one software application, for ease of implementation and use by our customers.

Overall: Easy to setup, easy to use, and many people use it. It can be integrated with existing chat clients like Pidgin, and still offer remote conferencing functionality beyond chat.

Pros: Our meetings are now easier to schedule since everyone is familiar with/trusts skype. The connectivity is great and we have never had a technical flaw (the fault of Skype)

Cons: It is quite expensive considering many other services offer the same features for half the price, but it is again the international credibility we pay for

Pros: GUI interface is user friendly, It's easy to mange calls, meetings, attendees to make your calls more efficient. Call via Work feature is very handy, it allows you to choose which device to call (desk phone, headset, desktop app). Hybrid deployment can save you some money. If you are running seasonal business or have several small local brunches you can go with Skype for Business cloud solution, pay on monthly basis and cancel/reduce the service instead of having small on premise IT infrastructure. Less headache for IT folks.

Cons: Get ready for substantial effort when upgrading from Lync 2010 to Skype for Business 2016. You will need to upgrade to Lync 2013 and then jump to Skype for Business 2016. If you are already on Lync 2013 the upgrade works very transparently.

Overall: Allowed us to get rid of the PBX infrastructure however Microsoft sometimes can throw a curveball which makes the application maintenance very time consuming.

Pros: Quite intuitive user interface, user can find fast any necessary features. Generally known software which helps to connect other users easily. It has home edition as well (with limited functionality of course). Whiteboarding and screensharing are commonly used capabilities.

Cons: If the the user who you would like to send a message to is not online then the message won't be delivered at all. SfB could store the message locally until the other part goes online.

Pros: Great way to communicate with individuals throughout the day. Ability to share screens and work with one another remote without the need for setting up fancy webinars! Always happy when messages are saved to Outlook if the integration is setup.

Cons: Sometimes the functionality can be spotty, for example between some computers we lose screen share functionality often and it is unclear if people are always available. But, there are lots of workarounds.

Pros: I do like that since Skype For Business is entirely software based they can offer it on many different platforms. I find myself using it the most on my mobile phone which makes it a convenient way to take a call on the go.

Cons: The user experience is often not great while setting up a call. If you connect to a call and you have the wrong speaker or microphone device selected the only way to change it is to put the call on hold and then change the settings. You then have to call back into the meeting. Also, the audio and video quality does not seem like it is keeping up with other software video conferencing solutions.

Overall: I think that the mobile phone experience is very simple and easy to setup. Usually you can connect to a meeting in a few seconds and everything just seems to work properly.

Pros: Skype for Business is great. The quality of video and audio with anyone anywhere in the world is truly impressive. It's easy to install, easy to use and very effective when communicating effectively with peers, customers and vendors globally.

Cons: My only significant concern is the level of ownership of videoconferencing done through Skype. I believe this is still the case that you do now "own" anything you discuss on a Skype call, so legally it makes it difficult to protect any confidential conversations.

Pros: This is awesome tool it makes videos conference or call very easy, desktop sharing, video chat, messaging services are very good and fast. Skype business allows to organize your contacts under custom categories, integrates with Outlook, and also makes screen sharing with huge groups. It is easy to learn and use. Processing is fast. Lot of emoticons and can send big attachments as well.

Cons: it lack in some feature like call returns, call blocking, some time video quality while sharing the desktop is not that much good, this also depends on your quality of internet connection so make sure that we have a good quality of internet and then there are less chances that you will get a bad video quality.

Comments: A complete end-to-end solution with Genesys CC, SfB, and AC greatly enhances customer, employee, and partner interactions, engagement, and collaboration

Pros: I like the combination of chat, calls and video just all in one place. My company has integrated all members in it so when I need to chat with someone, I can just type the name and it'll suggest me the person. It also has iOS app, which I really appreciate as sometimes I'm traveling or moving around the city and I still want to stay tune. It is so professional and helps you to make communications with the rest of you team mates or known people much easier. You can just chat or have a videoconference

Cons: Every now and then my connection lags and it ends the call. That is my only flaw I can find. I would like a few more theme options with my interface though. Sometimes Skype for Business does not log in, or takes a very long time. This could be my companies IT system rather than the softwarem but its annoying as colleagues think you are unavailable or out of the office when you are online.

Skype for Business is a low cost solution and Very good for the basic tasks.

2.The very good feature is its very low cost calling.
3.The primary advantage to using Skype is its ability to call anyone in the world today who has an account without being charged anything.

Cons: 1. We cannot access emergency numbers through Skype.
2.There is no translation services.
3. Sometimes we feel background noise is more and it is picking the background noise easily.

Pros: All company contacts are readily available in your contacts. No need to add each contact individually.

Cons: The collaboration in Skype for Business is not as good as in the free version. Ideally, the groups would work the same way in Skype for Business as they do for the free version - created groups would show up in your contacts and all conversation history would appear in group. Also, it would be nice if the chat history is continued every time you start a conversation with a person so that you do not need to go digging through wherever the conversation is saved outside of Skype for Business.

Pros: Sometimes you need a quick question answered and don't feel like sending an email. Skype for business is the best way to get that done. Basically it's texting for your computer.

Cons: The only thing I have noticed that is bad is that sometimes Skype for Business does not let you move contacts around until you kill the application and start it back up.

Pros: Good synchronization with Microsoft office emails and contacts. No need to create your own contact list. Easy way to make a call and screen sharing

Cons: I hate this when it you want to see the chat history with any contact. Its not as easy as simple skype. Be default it does not show the chat history when you select any contact

Pros: My small business is able to connect whether we are all at the office or not quickly because of how intuitive and speedy the software is.

Cons: Since this is relatively new, all the features I am hoping will come with it have not rolled out yet. The group calls and collaborative tools are nice, but there are many that they could easily add that would make the experience even better.

"Skype for business" is quite friendly conferencing, messaging application.

Pros: 1. Overall GUI is simple but good. It has all the necessary features.
2. GUI looks well designed. The user can easily find the options he /she is looking for.

Comments: Although Skpe is easy to use, there are other products that are more accessible for businesses, regardless of other businesses using the software or not.

Pros: I have only found a handful of times to utilize this software, but it was easy to use when I did use it. The most useful time it was used was when redesigning our website. The web designer was able to draw on the screen to enhance communication, causing the time spent to be significantly shorter.

Cons: This product is not widely used by businesses, so it cannot be used very often. Even those who do have it, do not always realize who has it. Skype could benefit from increasing the amount of marketing done so it can be recognized more.

Pros: Skype for business has a great chat feature that I use constantly during work with all colleagues- it's the best instant messenger I've experienced!

Cons: Sometimes call and video quality isn't great, but that may be more of an internet issue than the software itself. Calls rarely drop, but sometimes background noise is too loud or parts of the call cuts out.

Skype is fantastic in that it lets me communicate with my team without moving from my desk!

Pros: Skype is fantastic in that it lets me communicate with my team without moving from my desk! My day at work is busy. If I can avoid getting up and trying to track someone down, then I'm all for that! It even gives me the options to have a conference call or share my screen with someone. Life couldn't be easier to communicate.

Cons: What do I like least? Sometimes it is a bit time extensive to organize groups in Skype. But that's about it. I really don't have a lot of complaints here!

Overall: This product software allows me to communicate with my team without slowing me down. I can multi-task to the extreme!

Pros: I love using Skype for Business. It's an easy to use tool to instant message people or remote into their desktop or laptop. Doing a presentation over long distance is easy. Simply present your screen and everyone can see what you are showing them. If you are trying to troubleshoot someone's system, you can directly remote control into their machine and take over. It's the only way I troubleshoot various programs. Plus, if I need a quick conversation with someone - instead of picking up the phone, I just pull up their contact info and IM them. It's super quick and easy. The best part is it saves your conversation in Exchange so you can go back and see what the conversation was for your review. Love it.

Pros: I use this program on a daily basis and find that Skype for Business' emoji's are becoming one of the most common methods of communication for my colleagues. Our edition of Skype for Business includes over 40 emoji's, with the majority of them animated. A quick, "thumbs up" often feels like the right response to a quick office survey or invitation, while the bowing emoji may be the way you wish to say, "you're welcome." The wide range of emoji's are both entertaining and effective for a wide variety of professional and casual text-based communications.

The video-based communication feature performs flawlessly on my office's 3-year old operating system and easily supports presentations visible to large groups. I have personally attended a presentation with over fifty individuals in attendance without too much of an issue. This feature also worked well with office headsets and allowed the use of the mute and volume buttons via the headset volume controls.

The group text feature is one of the most commonly used features within our office, where multiple users can click and drag content into the text message space to quickly share it with the group.

Overall, my office has been very pleased with the ease of use and humorous capabilities of all these features.

Cons: In presentations with large groups, a single individual had the capability to mute the speaker during several parts of the presentation. This feature was frustrating for the presenter until the group determined who was accidentally pushing the mute button on their headset.

Additionally, images shared to a group are sometimes shrunk and not maximizable within the group chat feature.

Other than those two issues, I have no complaints about the software.

I use Skype for Business every day at work.

Pros: It connects directly to our Outlook directory so anyone in the company can use it. You can also see when people are available or out of the office so it saves time from walking to someone's desk to see if they are here.

Cons: I like the ability to record meetings but I don't like how the software exports its own edited version of the meeting. It also saves conversations to two different places by default and users are not aware of this.

Pros: It is excellent to be able to see presentation on the phone while out of office.
No need to care about sharing since the tool is doing it for you

Cons: When phone agent and desktop agent are both active the message received is only on one of them.
Hence, some communications are getting lost.

Cons: Skype is an not as advanced with customizing how end users can experience the app. Very boring. If MS Team use was more widely accepted within my org, I would prefer that messaging app as far as usability and customer UX (mention this because both solutions are owned by Microsoft).

Pros: I love that Skype business allows to organize your contacts under custom categories, integrates with Outlook, and also makes screen sharing with huge groups really easy!

Cons: I am not sure if it's a restriction within my company or of the software, but I wish we could easily screen share with external contacts as well. We need to use another software or ask a vendor to send a screensharing link for meetings.

Overall: 1) Keep in touch with employees in my organization, 2) let them know of my busy/available status and even out of office status or put a custom status message, 3) tag people for status change if I am waiting for someone to be available before I ping them, 4) put myself on online but do-not-disturb mode when I want to show that I am in the office but not available to talk, and much more.

Our company uses Skype for Business everyday to communicate information.

Pros: It is extremely easy to use. Skype for Business is an Important part of our companies everyday operations. Whether its searching someone's name looking to find their phone number to transfer a call, or asking a quick question, it always gets the job done.

Cons: I do wish it kept continuous threads for conversations, as opposed to saving each individual conversation, even if it's the same person. It would be nice to be able to search a colleagues name and bring up all previous conversation with them to refer back.

Pros: We find this software to be easy to learn how to use. Just click and type. It has great features for communicating with others both at our site and other sites. Very easy to use.

Cons: I believe there are more features than we would ever need. It doesn't clutter the functions but it has more than necessary.

Overall: Increased communication with others at our site and other sites. Easier with intsantaneous responses than email. More modern functionality and get a quick easy answer compared to a lengthy phone call. Great for group meetings. Plus you have the written responses as a reminder as opposed to verbal communication.

Pros: love that you can have conference calling available at all times of the day. skype really works with you when you have outages as well.
