Pros: Jabber is a solid chat client for the corporate environment. The desktop app is very robust and integrates well with other Cisco products. We have it integrated with our Cisco video phones and WebEx. You can share your desktop, launch a WebEx meeting or take calls over VOIP. It is easy to search for coworker with the active directory integration and organize contacts in groups. It also allows you to view missed calls and listen to voicemail if you have it integrated with your phone system. It will also remind you of WebEx meetings and allow you to launch them from the pop-up reminder. Overall, with the integrations, I believe it is one of the more feature complete chat clients on the market.

Cons: The mobile app is the only real weak point for Jabber. They have improved it a little over time, but it still has issues. I have used it both on iOS and Android and it is a battery hog. Significantly more battery drain when it is running. Also, it does not save login information when using single sign-on. This means I have to re-authenticate every time I open it fresh. This makes me question whether or not to open it when on the go.

One other issue is slow file transfer. The feature is there and easy enough to select a file, but the transfer is very slow and fails at times. Could be better.

Overall: Jabber allows our users to communicate easily and efficiently throughout their work day. It gives quick access to WebEx and phone functions with other Cisco integrations.

Pros: Initially, I can't believe that the Jabber software we loved back in the University has been aquired by Cisco. It was pleasant news because it signals the more professional maintenance and dev for this much loved software.

We use Jabber (then, and) now for our main messaging software. It is easily deployable company-wide or even to small departments and teams for a limited/specialized use case.

The UI is pretty clean, lite, fast, and functional. In the office, it is easy to see Presence (i.e., who's online and perhaps ready for a chat). Now the call both audio only or with video is very reliable. It is pretty solid for corporate use.

Since this is owned by Cisco, you can expect seamless integration with a host of other CIsco products you may have (e.g., we use it in conjunction with Cisco WebEx).

Cons: Well... aesthetics matter a lot to me.. and Jabber, although has been refined a bit, still needs a more modern look and feel (especially now that there are tons of other messaging platforms available).

Just a note though to keep backups of important conversations (e.g., in chat). I have had experience when my old messages got deleted when I leave a chat group.

Overall: We use Jabber for corporate presence, instant messaging, chat, voice and video calls. It works seamlessly with other Cisco products. And for me, a nostalgic value which reminds me that Jabber has been my go-to messaging platform for decades, and it continues to impress and be a reliable workhorse.

Overall an adequate chat app with features that tie to Cisco phones and Outlook.

Pros: The tie ins with Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones work very well.

Popup notifications for meetings and call notifications are clear.

Interaction Options selectable from within the individual contact screens are robust. This is most noticeable when you are connected to Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones. You can pretty much do anything to conduct or initiate a meeting from in the Contact window.

Automatic status changes when it detects your on the phone, in a meeting, etc works very well.

Cons: Lets start with if you don't use Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones you will not be able to leverage many features. In this case, you may want to consider other options.

I have some small complaints such as:

Inability to make the popups "on top" of any windows when triggered. When you don't already have Jabber chat open the only indicator is the icon on the taskbar is lit.

As a deployment: An upgrade of the client is not a simple install-over of the latest client. It requires (thus far) an uninstall of the prior, then install of the current. This forces planning and user notification due to the possible interruption. As mentioned, this ties directly into Cisco phones. User can be hung up on as the client uninstalls and reinstalls if they had a call during this time.

Overall: I recommend this software if you utilize Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones.

It has a lot of features that allow you to manage communication to Contacts all from in Jabber.

Pros: Being able to communicate with employees around the world by phone, email, web, messaging, etc. The software is great depending on how it's being used. I've worked with Cisco products elsewhere and find that there was little to no system issues. It's amazing how you can conduct meetings face to face elsewhere by web and associate with everyone in the office.

Cons: The software will malfunction and completely stop performing its duties. Jabber will interfer with how avaya which is a phone system operates causing disconnection in calls and system freezing. I noticed after not using jabber the calls became normal and the system freezing discontinued. I find that a lot of call centers offering work from home positions requires the use of jabber and has implemented the use into company policies resulting in termination if the software is not used however on site employees are not required to use the software. The software can be used as spyware within a security team.

Overall: The software is great however behind every system operation is a person. My experience elsewhere has led me to believe that a person motives could be good or bad. Before I rate the software as horrible I will question the motives of the one controlling the software within the company. You are the designer and I must admit you've done a great job. How companies use your product is on the company once the product is sold. I've noticed small businesses and employment outside of call centers experience little to no malfunctioning when using your product. Big business and corporations is where I experienced the most software issues.

I use Cisco jabber everyday for meeting, chatting , sharing snapshot,sharing screen with Colleagues.

Pros: We can share screen with client and colleague's system with this and ping to anyone which under Cisco connection. We can create the common group , sharing screenshots , use different emoticons etc with this. It helps a lot to us in our daily work. This is simple tool, the laymen also use this with simple way.

Cons: The most least thing about this is which happed to me many times that while meeting with client it automatically disconnected. And also Cisco jabber delete the history messages which i think it worst thing. Sometimes we need to see old messages but for some time stamp it delete the messages. If it stores all the history then it would be lovable.

Overall: In my daily work life, I discuss my issues , make a call, sharing screen while doing my problem. I can easily talk with any of my colleague with this and share my screenshots of issues and bugs easily with different people. With this, i can see client or colleague's screen to view their issues in better way. I can share my instant status with someone while i am on the call or in the meeting so someone not disturb me while busy work. I can create the group whenever i need to call my colleagues for my achievements sweets or discuss about the good news with them. Share the emoticons with them and let them know my instant mood. Moreover, i can arrange meeting with clients and ping to them for urgent meeting if he/she is available on the same time.

Pros: 1. Small, simple and easy interface for instantly messaging in one in the work hour.

2. Desktop sharing is another cool feature i use it when get stuck somewhere and needed advice of senior.

3. One of the most interesting feature of Jabber that few people knows is Alert when available it;s not like you can not message a person when he is not online you do but sometime you just want to message them in real time then this feature work as charm and you get notified when that person become online.

4.Easy to create group and message them as a whole this feature comes in handy when there is birthday of any coworker and you would like to notify your friends that there is special kind of arrangement in pantry at once but yes you can do that personally as well.

5.Password protected.

Cons: 1. Older messages get automatically deleted I think at least till now I have not found a way to restore them back but yes I think there would be the solution.

2. I would loved it if they had this feature alert when offline that is quite similar to alert when available.

By this way I can track someone's.

3. Interface is easy at the same time boring.

Overall: Instant messaging with coworker, desktop sharing, sending screen shot.

Pros: Cisco jabber is an instant messaging application that provide the professional environment for communication with in a network . Integrity of Cisco jabber with Outlook & IP is really amazing and provide the real time update with it that other person is busy or on call or in meeting. Group chat is possible where a host can join it with a simple approval or setting the auto-approval. Screen share & Desktop control is also possible with Cisco Jabber. Their is a limited and some professional emojis also which help in expressing the feeling for our words.

Cons: The least thing I like in it is that we can not share the images in group chat. Chat history is also very important in professional world can Cisco Jabber should work hard to fix the bug of deleting the history and images that share on the chat, I will loving if they come up with an option of archive chat so we don't delete or loss our important chat. Their are some annoying default setting that company should fix it by default.

Overall: Cisco jabber is helping us to manage communication with in the complete office. It's really a great professional instant message application that help to get connecting colleagues in the instant way.

Pros: It's has excellent intelligence of framing all things related to chat in a single window like:

1. It shows all the person name whom you have chatted in a column left side of display and at the same time it also shows number of messages that people are sending you.

2. It memories all messages in one to one message form. So user can read it later if needed.

3. It provides the feature to create chat group to discuss anything with many people at a time.

4. It provides the feature to share screen with other user and give read/write access which very useful for corporate sector.

5. Jabber has given many commonly used status like: Available, In meeting, do not disturb, offline..etc and also has feature to customise status.

6. It has excellent features of showing you notifications when particular person becomes available on jabber.

7. It has features to save chats.

Cons: 1. Sometimes screenshots sent on jabber gets deleted.

Overall: I am happily using cisco jabber from last 3 years in my office. And I am very satisfied with the features and its intelligences.

Pros: we can see the profile i.e online/offline status, phone number, mails id . Screen/desktop sharing feature is quite easy and consumes less bandwidth as compare to other software like slack.

'Send mail' option is really time saving . User can Customize status according to his need.scheduling meeting and easy integration with outlook are impressive feature, in one click we can see the meetings detail from jabber, can schedule a new meeting .

Cons: i don't see any option like slack where we can use any other app with in the jabber just like we do in slack.

on my personal PC i found that history get deleted automatically after few days, there should be option to retrieve the history which got deleted previously automatically.

Emoticons are less in Jabber as compared to slack

Overall: i have been using this for more then 3 year and it makes my work like scheduling meeting , chatting with teammates singly or in group very easy. i do not need to look for my notebook or anywhere to find the phone number and email id to contac the person and it can be easily seen in jabber.

Pros: Jabber is professional instant messaging application which provide a user friendly interface for communication. The screen sharing features and controlling other person input control through request. Group chat feature is also interesting and helpful in communicating with complete team at once. Integrity with other tool like outlook and VoIP phone is also good by which we can know that other person is in meeting or on call. Good pack of emojis is also available because sometimes words cannot express our feeling. We cam also set alert when person is available.

Cons: In group chat we can not share screenshot.

Thier is also no backup and archive provision in application but taking backup is still possible. Application sometime glitches also. Like sending screenshot but still loading and loading in such case we need to restart application.

Overall: Overall package is good and love to communicate on jabber as it is easy to use. Integrity with the 3rd party application make it robust. Blocking and Location is also a good features of it.

Pros: Jabber enable everyone in my organization to work efficiently as a group ,even without having to be physically present in the office environment. I love how Jabber effectively combines audio messages ,instant messages ,web conference and video conference into one powerful client on my desktop and smartphone.

I love the smartphone app.(Android), it has been a reliable way to stay connected with my team while on the move. Allowing me to join conference calls or dial personal numbers right from my smartphone.

It integrates well with Cisco video phone and we recently imtegrated it with Webex,making it easier to launch webex meetings.By integrating with my phone ,I am able to manage my missed calls ,and listen to messages dropped by callers on my voicemail.

Cons: Inability to search my conversation history is a personal grudge I have got with Jabber . Am also wondering why anytime I leave a group ,all of my conversations on the group gets removed.

Pros: Cisco jabber has many features which includes messaging,audio call,video call,group chats,screen sharing and etc etc. It allows me to create group and have conversation with them in various ways. It allows me to initiate group chat which is very helpful when we work with various teams/members on tasks/issues.

I often use it for video calling with my client,my friends and relatives.We can easily see the chat history and initiate meetings. We can keep various status for example offline,away,online,in a meeting and many other which helps us understand each other in a better way.

Cons: I dont find any cons of such but group video chating could be enabled for better communication

Overall: I had greate experience using Cisco Jabber as I use it often in my client meetings,to contact my friends/colleagues/other members through messages,audio call,video call.I mostly use it for group chat where we can coordinate in my work in a better way.

Pros: A quick and easy way to communicate with coworkers without missing a question in an email inbox, It is extremely useful for collaboration and I really like how I can send messages to someone who does not work in my office without having to call them. I like how it does not show if you read the message or not, but it shows up when you receive a response. I also like how easy it is to find people by phone number and see who is available online to chat. It is also easy to sort and see what calls I have received, lost and placed without having to look through my Cisco phone.

Cons: I don't like that once you close out of the jabber room the history of your conversation disappears forever. Sometimes, particularly when it is important and references a work related event, it would be helpful to be able to go back and reference the original source

Overall: By using jabber, we can quickly send messages to another colleague who has the information we need or can help us solve problems. An email can be buried in someone's Inbox, but I discovered that Jabber appears to get his attention much faster.

Pros: I worked for Bershire Hathaway at National Indemnity Company for two and a half years and we used Jabber for interoffice communication. I found it extremely helpful and easy to use. I liked that it displayed our office status to other users/friends. It was also nice that it connected with our Cisco phones and we could take calls from the computer with a click of a button rather than reaching over for the phone itself.

Cons: The only thing I have to complain about with this software is that a while back they updated the emojis and got rid of several emojis that I was used to using. They have new emojis, but it would be nice if they still had the option to use the old emojis. More choices are better in my opinion.

Overall: Overall, I enjoyed using Jabber. It was an easy to use program that allowed interoffice communication. I would recommend other companies use this software for their in-office chatrooms.

Pros: I have been using cisco jabber from last 4 years and I can say this is one of the best tools for the IM communications within an organization.

It offer various other features along with IM such as syncing IP configured phone with the user profile where the users can communicate via IM OR Phone using jabber.

Far much better software for sharing screen captures to the other jabber users.

Finally one of the best feature that I like the most is group communication where the user can create IM groups with multiple users and share the information.

Cons: Sometimes screen sharing via jabber is slow and the real time sharing of remote screens gets very difficult to deal with but this can be dealt with using network with better speeds.

Overall: Overall one thing I can say with confidence that Cisco jabber is one of the best tool I came across for IM and organizational communications.

Pros: This tool is gift for person which aren't willing to go to meeting room as they can attend meeting's while sitting on sest.

Screen sharing can be done in group specially remote locations to present live demonstration.

Quick turnaround gives edge to conversate quickly.

Graphical User Interface(GUI) incorporate KISS principle which helps to use it.

Jabber also provide availability status of remote location person so we can conversate accordingly.

Cons: Coversation History or log limitation as sometime we missed some important conversation. Not able to share sceen shots in group conversation. Availability of the person is not as accurate as it should be.i.e. someting idle system show person is available.

Overall: I'm using Cisco Jabber from approximate 5 year and it' experience of using it is really good. There is nothing to stuck as anyone can use it with ease.

Pros: Working with a reputed organization of more than 2000 people and actively using this tool.Few of the feature i really liked about this tool:

1. Very easy to use and user-friendly. Didn't take much time to understand functionality.

2. Speed is great in terms of messaging functions like jabber call.

3. Desktop sharing is another feature which makes life easy.

4. Search option works well.

5. Other great feature is separate chat window and emoticons.(makes communication light under stress environment)

6. Group creation and adding participants is another great feature..

7. Customer support is good and available 24/7.

8. Great for inter-office communication.

Cons: Very few cons i faced like:

1. Keeps short time chat history.

Pros: 1. Made my regular meetings very easy with Screen sharing option

2.voice connectivity.

3.Group chats with user defined name.

4. Best one is we can give any user name in chat box so that other can open easily.

5. Categorizes the different user such as development team, HR and managers.

Cons: 1.Well one can't guess that other person has seen your message or not.

2. If system is locked and there is some group chat comes then on unlocking the system, it gets hanged and one cannot even get to know what that group is about.

3. In group chat one cannot predict who has created untill creator sends messages. Or in name of group user has to mention his/her name.

Overall: It made my so many day to day work easy. Not every time i have to send an email to employees or to go to his seat. I'm completely satisfied with it. Hope for the above bugs or enhancements get fixed soon.

Pros: For the following reason, I like the jabber most. The best part of jabber is screen sharing. I'm using screen sharing in my presentation in office so that everyone does understand visually through their screens while sitting at their seats.

You can also track the availability of the person through this software. It is showing the status Available if you are working on the system. You can also update the status of the software to Do not disturb in case you don't want to disturb from anyone.

You can also create a group instead of messaging single user.

Cons: You need to update the password again, if you have updated the windows password. And sometimes, it slows down the system.

Overall: In office, this is a very useful software. You don't need to come to the seat for any work. Just message the person and get a reply.

Pros: Simple design of architecture.

Quick way if taking screenshot and share.

Supported on both PCs and mobiles. So, you can get update even if you are away from your desk.

Can reach out any person within the organization immediately.

You can activate the notification field set. So whenever, I get a priority case, I get the notification on Jabber.

It has cool emojis. You can change the color or font of your chat.

Cons: Its buffer for sharing the lines is very limited. So, you cannot share around more then 40 lines.

We cannot share Doc file from this.

Recently, it has stopped the feature of making a bot or group on Jabber.

Sometimes, it changes the status automatically when you are running it on both machine and phone simultaneously.

Overall: My organization is very large that i do not know every person. From this software, i have to just enter his/her name to get his profile and i can reach out him/her quickly.

i can share the documents, take snippets directly from Jabber. It's user interface is very simple.

Pros: Jabber is a fantastic way to contact someone unobtrusively. You can see their status if they are Away, in a meeting, or on the phone. If someone tries to call you while you are on the phone, you can drop them a message in Jabber to let them know, or they can send you a message without trying to call first. You can send image, attachments, and even emojii characters.

Cons: The initial cost and setup is a large drawback. Configuring the software to work with the phones requires specific settings on the phones through Cisco Call Manager to be set properly. Thankfully Cisco has a very talented support team that can help walk you through any of the initial set up pains.

Overall: This software is very useful and more secure than other products like it, and it's really a fantastic way for team members to remain connected to one another.

Pros: Jabber is very easy to use and it shows all the contacts grouped as our comfort. we can view the contacts profile, online status, we can tag the contact to get alert when contact comes online. Also, there is an link on contact to send mail or meeting through webex. we can update our profile name and profile data and preferred display name. the screen share feature is very useful especially in collaborative project teams spread at remote locations.

Cons: i had used Microsoft Lync earlier. I did not see any difference between these two except couple of minor observations. I did not see "call the contact" option in Jabber. Also, Jabber will not show the number of days the contact is offline and till when the contact is busy.

Overall: very useful for IM and desktop share with other team members.

Pros: Ease of use is the biggest pros of Jabber. It's simple and useful. Some of the useful features that we generally like are group chats and screen capture. Connectivity is also great and there are a very few downtimes so its helpful for time-critical jobs.

Cons: One of the main Con of Jabber is its lack of feature. Nowadays everything is so fast paced that we need a lot of feature in there which can make it more useful and beneficial for the business. It's look and feel is still of the pre-millennium era and can be improved a lot laced with some very useful features like presentations, polling, emoticons etc.

Overall: Although there is an immense scope for improvement still there are quite a few benefits that we reap from Jabber. The main one is connectivity and communication. We can have group chats whenever required and ease of use is really good.

Pros: Cisco Jabber is very light and fast instant messaging application. Desktop sharing is very effective for demonstrating concerns/queries, directly to remotely logged in peer members. Cisco jabbers integrates with outlook to provide availability status directly in outlook which is very effective. Jabbers also enables alert when peer members gets back to the system and become available on the system. Group chat feature is very convenient for communicating with multiple people at same time.

Cons: 1. Jabber should have option to save screenshots directly.

2. There is no option available to delete single window chat.

Cons: I find that interface is very simple not so attractive and one thing i notice that the messages get deleted after few days and screenshots will not able view it's get automatically deleted.

Overall: I find it very good for large organization where employees are more than 500+ it would be good . Using this software more than 2+ year i find it easy to use to use and helps to connect with colleagues easily.

Pros: Cisco jabber is a very good tool for communication, chatting and calls.

This is highly used in my company for communication purpose.

One can use for personal chatting, group chatting, calls and screen sharing.

This is very easy to use. Even the freshers can use it with ease. I like its all features. Very much compatible with other cisco tools.

Cons: This tool has some problems as well that need to be improved.

We cannot share screenshot in group chatting.

Sometimes it do not popup messgages in case of system slowness.

But they are not such big problems, we can ignore them in keeping its great available features in mind.

Pros: The system is secure, meaning files and information can be sent within the company easily and remain safe. I can contact a coworker via text chat, voice call, or video call---saving a great deal of time over true in-person visits, allowing me (and the other person) to stay on task while still staying connected. Works very well in dialing into webcasts and conference call events and is much easier to use than holding a handset for an entire meeting.

Cons: Voice quality on calls varies at times making it necessary to redial. Also, when the internet is down, my ability to use the phones is also out, severely affecting productivity in the office.

Overall: Very easy to easily contact co-workers in multiple ways as well as participate in conference calls and webinars.

Pros: Instant messaging applications have been around since the days of dial-up, but what sets them apart now is the integration and additional functionality. Jabber can tie into the phone system (in our case, a Cisco IP phone system) and show others when you're on calls, presenting, etc. Within an IT department, this has become an invaluable tool because users can chat with other support staff while on a call with an employee ("customer") without having to put the customer on hold.

Cons: We had some issues integrating with Active Directory and the Cisco IP phone system but were overcome by some reconfiguration or an update to Jabber. However, we have had some occasional issues with Jabber losing chat history. This caused some major issues up front (due to record-keeping compliance) but we haven't seen the problem resurface lately.

Overall: Improved communication between support staff, especially on work-from-home days.

Pros: I absolutely love using Jabber within our department. Workforce is in a different suite than our Operation Leaders, so when we need to reach out to them Jabber avoids having to walk down to the other side of the building. This is a great application to have, especially if you are needing to speak to someone in a urgent situation. I also love the fact that you can save a group chat! So if you need to open a group chat with the same people daily, you can do it with just one click!

Cons: I think not being able to send a screenshot within a group chat is a bit frustrating at times, but you can always send it directly to individual people. Also, if you have a group chat open anyone you have added has the capability to add whoever else they would like. There are no parameters you are able to set to avoid having people added who should not be there.

When I use Jabber it gives real-time information and instant messaging to reduce delays I like this

Pros: I love how it syncs with my Outlook to let others know when I am in a meeting and can't respond to their instant messages. VOIP feature works great both within the firm and with our clients. A huge plus that there is a dial-in for international callers as well!

Cons: I have had complaints from our clients that there is a delay in the installation when first using the WebEx feature. Also, it would be great if chats didn't get deleted when I exited a conversation. Like if there was a function where the user can select from the Settings panel for how long they'd like to preserve messages for (i.e. 1 week, 2 weeks, 30 days, etc.).

Overall: Easy to use solution for internal and external communications. No issues from me!

Pros: I liked that Jabber integrated with Outlook so it would automatically set my status to in a meeting when applicable - I don't really have the time or inclination to manually set it every time I have a meeting (or remember to change it afterwards!) I also really liked that I could forward calls to my own cell phone - I hate trying to take calls through the computer. Jabber just works. It's not fancy or super attractive, but it was pretty much never down and met all of my needs.

Cons: I guess it was a little old-school as far as the user interface. It felt like using AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) from way back when. But that doesn't affect the functionality.

Overall: Easy to see if people are available, and easy to set your status (especially with the outlook integration) so you're not constantly being messaged when you're busy. It was a good communication tool.

Pros: Communication with their sales team and product installation were really easy.

As they use VOIP protocol, Cisco Jabber easily met our corporate security requirements.

I liked the most its soft phone function, it was also good for internal instant messaging until we started more software for the same purpose...

Cons: I had a few occurrences recently when chat history got lost completely.

Also, sometimes I experience an issue that read message is display as unread.

No more major concerns though.

Pros: I do like how easy it is to organize groups and start group chats with Jabber. I also like that you can choose a list or tabs for all open conversations. And I appreciate that when I am on Do Not Disturb, new chats don't pop up on my screen; this is helpful for screensharing.

Cons: I dislike that the video chat box comes up every time I place a phone call through Jabber. It would just take one accidental click for me to be sharing video. There should be a setting that allows your default to be "Never Share Video" or something similar. My organization rarely, if ever, requires video chat. It shouldn't pop up every single time.

Pros: I ran a call center which used an all Cisco network, I downloaded the app and used Jabber on my cell phone, and this allowed the supervisors and floor managers to reach me at any time. I was also able to call their extensions directly when needed.

Cons: I can't really blame it all on the application however, I would get disconnected and I wouldn't know so people couldn't reach me, it may have also been related to the security behind my internet connection, but it was a hassle.

Overall: If you have a cisco network it's a useful tool mainly if you are not always in your office since it allows you to have your office phone on your mobile device all the time.

I love that if you have the phone integration as well, you can see someone's status of whether they are on the phone etc. This is very helpful during a customer service environment when you have people waiting to speak with someone. Pros: The accessibility with other users within my company. It was a nice way for interoffice communication that did not require an email but needed to be more formal than a text on a personal phone. It is integrated with our desktop PC/laptops.

Cons: It seemed to have issues working with Windows at times. Sometimes the program would not start up immediately or it would hang up. This was not due to the network or computer configuration but was usually the program itself.

Overall: We used it primarily for inner office communications. This was particularly useful in a shared workspace with a conference meeting area and desks in the same space. When a conference was going on, you could still communicate without speaking. Additionally, it was nice to know when someone had returned to their desk and had opened their PC again.

Pros: By far, the best software for communicating with my colleagues. We can share links and images apart from text messages. There are also emojis on Jabber which is a plus point. One more good thing is that we can put a "notify me when available" notification when anyone is away for a while.

Cons: Doesn't provide the feature for sharing screenshots on groups. Sometimes the screenshots that are shared open in low quality which is a kind of drawback for me. Responds a bit slow when we share our screen with anyone. Also, it is limited only to a particular organization only.

LOVE that I can stay instantly connected to my entire organization.

LOVE that I can access it via app, web, or desktop.

LOVE that I can personalize it with Webex for quick screenshares

LOVE the quick file transfer protocols.

Cons: I don't like that I cannot customize some of the desktop features like display colors, etc.

I don't like that it will not allow me to file transfer with an actively opened file, it doesn't make a copy on the fly like others will, have to close out of the software, and re-open.

Pros: Great way to keep everyone connected and to have easy access to your staff when on the road or away on business. Keeping everyone always connected.

Cons: I have noticed that the software get's buggy when phone platforms have been updated. And the user's have to wait for a fix before everything goes back to normal.

Overall: Great software to keep everyone connected. The application easily can be added to android and iPhone and all you have to do is leave the application running and your office calls easily will be transferred to your cell phone when they come in. Worth looking into, if your looking for a better means of staying connected.

Pros: What I like most about this software is the easy to use features. As a receptionist, transferring calls is a breeze. The fact that you can message co-workers before getting back to a client is ideal.

Cons: What I like the least about this software is the system glitches. Not sure if it's because of our company's server or if we just end up getting disconnected due to malfunctions or upgrades.

Pros: Jabber is a great communication tool that has a full set of tools and features. It integrates well with our Cisco phone system and allows for conferencing, chatting, screen sharing, managing contacts and sharing files. I especially like that it saves all past chats and logs indefinitely.

Cons: Initial configuration has some challenges. Also, for some reason jabber occasionally loses contact with my phone and has to be re-started.

Overall: Overall, Jabber is a convenient and useful tool. It allows easy communication with colleagues and customers.

Pros: Supports extras like desktop sharing and video calling. Can be used as an extension in Cisco Call Manager. Allows for easy file transfers. allows for quick instant messages to colleagues. nice integrations with Outlook calendars for free/busy information and automatic status updates.

Cons: No Linux support for anything other than simple IM messages. Interface can be a little bloated. Can be tricky to implement with internal and external networks for universal access

Pros: Every think is just one click away that means you no longer need to wait for meeting room to have a chat with someone related to the work. Just find and start it. Sharing screen is the outstanding thing in the jabber.

Cons: Unable to send screen shot in group chat and file sharing is not possible. Please keep the history!

Overall: I am using jabber from last more than 5 years. Its really good tool for chat between co-workers. Screen sharing is really a great helpful tool. That helps many time when you want to discuss something remotely with overseas emoloyees

Pros: The best part of Cisco Jabber is the opportunity to review voicemails in a "visual voicemail" format - individually. This software makes it very easy to manage voicemails, for example, one-click forwarding. It's also great to have the option to make/accept calls on my laptop. I do not use the chat feature much, but it works seamlessly, too.

Cons: The only issue I have noticed with Cisco Jabber is load time. It sometimes takes over 1-minute to load the software and connect to the network.

We can share screen for better resolution to our problems.

It also enables us to screen capture and send screenshots as well.

Pros: This application empowered us to work together with local and overseas employees.

Its screen share feature is amazing and gives togetherness persence.

Its an easy to use messaging tool.

I also like that its customizable status (Available, Away, Do Not Disturb etc.)feature.

Cons: Jabber not allow calls to my desk phone if my current status is In a Meeting or On Call. In this case it goes to voicemail.

Pros: Easy to use and very effective in bolstering our communication platform. Instant messaging, dialing from within applications and an excellent mobile app make this a key part of our communication portfolio.

Cons: Cisco licensing is never enjoyable to deal with and although this is not a separate product line item, it is still part of the Cisco portfolio. I also wish there were more ways to force Jabber to always login and always remain running versus allowing the user to shut it down.

Pros: Jabber is a little more complicated than other similar tools. However, this does mean increased functionality. There are many little features that can be changed and modified to tailor this tool to an individual needs. the call forwarding is the most vital part of this tool for me. Where it is a soft-phone I forward my calls to my cell when i am not at work.

Cons: This tool has all the function that one could desire, however, it can be complicated to configure some simple things. for example, it took a fare bit of time to setup contact groups. Once they are created they are easy to manage. Other than this I have no issues with Jabber.

Cons: I can't recall one item I do not like about this sofware.

Overall: Cisco Jabber makes it easy to communicate with my colleagues when an email is just not needed. Pros: As an employee who always work offsite, this is a great tool to stay connected with other coworkers. You can access it through your desk phone, computer and mobile. I really like how easy to sort, see what calls I have received and listen to the voice mail through computer. You can also forward the call to your mobile in case you do not have access to your desk phone/computer.

Pros: Most of all, I like that Jabber is very easy to use. It has a simple interface that even a first-timer should be able to navigate without any issue. Double-click on a name to chat, and go from there. You can maintain group chats, as well, which is nice. Cisco Jabber can also store your voicemails for quick playback.

Cons: I'm not sure if it's my internet connection or the software, but Jabber seems to temporarily disconnect for me every now and then.

Pros: I love having a messenger software in my office so I can instant message co-workers. It is very user-friendly and fun.

Cons: I wish I could delete my messages after a while, but not a big issue, may just be the way my office has it set up. I am simply a user not an administrator.

Pros: Able to have multiple chat windows. Team chat windows. File transfers. Status, Location. Highly accessable.

Cons: Chat history seems to only hang around on local machines and only until it is rebooted. I have not found a setting for this.

We are moving away from jabber because there doesn't seem to be a way to have chat rooms where people can drop in and drop out.

Overall: This software does do what it is designed for. It allows our company to keep in contact with each other.

Pros: I like that the tool automatically links up to my outlook calendar and reminds me of calls. I appreciate the simple and easy way to search for coworkers and create group chats. I like that I am able to make calls directly from jabber without using a landline phone. Screen share is another great feature! I also like that you are able to x out of messages or delete past chats

Cons: I often have glitches with screenshots as they will show up as "deleted". Would love to see more gifs and emotion icons that can be shared other than the simple outdated smiley faces.

Overall: I use Cisco Jabber daily to communicate with co workers in real time for informal and fast conversation. The tool gets the job done although is a bit outdated compared to other chat software I have used.

Pros: It makes conference calls so much easier having an interface to call from your computer. The chat feature also a big plus to be able to communicate quickly with your team. #emojis can be shared and they are attractive

#you can update status easily

Cons: #screenshots can't be share in groups

#in a group we can't reply by highlighting individual chat.

Pros: This is awesome tool for communicating with your coworkers,friends and clients. It is best when using it remotely. The desktop sharing by jabber is very helpful. Easy to use and very reliable user easily make groups chat and communicate with the multiple user at one time.

Cons: Unable to edit and delete sent messages.

Overall: I am using it in my office and it is very easy to use. Remote sharing features help me alot for my work.

Pros: I used Jabber in the past with great results, it helped our business to keep connected in a reliable way, the real time communication across platforms is a very nice feature, regardless where you are in the world it allows you to coduct meetings online with your team on real time.

Cons: integration with ms outlook was not great, but there are workarounds.

Overall: good experience, to solve real time IM messaging needs.

Pros: As an IT Director, I like that Jabber is a software that is quick to setup, and then our users can take over from there. So basically, it is the simplicity factor. Call numbers/addresses or stored, and can simply be found in the directory.

Cons: I never write this in the 'Con' section of a review, but there really isn't anything to gripe about. Any issues that have arisen while using Jabber stem from network issues and not the software.

Overall: Our staffers use Jabber to call into a hub for weekly meetings that include offices with high end Videoconferencing systems, and Jabber incorporates flawlessly with the big boy software and equipment. I have been using it for 6 years and I have taken maybe 2 calls with issues. There are plenty of other videoconferencing programs out there, and I would take Jabber as my first choice every time.

I used this daily to communicate in my local company network with my teams and colleagues.

Pros: Cisco jabber i would one of the best things to use to communicate with various features available. Help to share screen of pcs to another. Phone integration is of the best thing. You can create group and chat with colleagues and teams.

Cons: With lots of features the software is slow to load and sometime it crashes out which is really very frustrating when you are middle of something very important.

Pros: We can create as many groups and discuss about the tasks and work. We can enhance our chatting experience by using various emoticons available in the software. We can share our screens with any person and discuss about the tasks we are performing.

Cons: The user interface can be more better to enhance the user experience. Also we cannot share screenshots in groups or a person is offline.

Overall: I have been using jabber from last one year in my company. I usually share screens with the concerned person sitting anywhere and discuss about the work we are going through and get results through this software.

Cisco jaaber one of best tool to communicate within your network.

Pros: Cisco jabber is best way to communicate within you company network, I find it more secure and easy to use. There are various features and functionalities present like sharing your computer and can give access to other friends or colleagues, share important screenshots, make group to chat with your team, connect your phone directly.

Cons: I don't have much I like this software very much but yes I find sometime it hand while lots of chat window open, it takes time load.

Overall: I find sharing and communication make easy which saves time and make a platform to interact easily.

Pros: My company use Cisco Jabber to communicate. I must say this is a great product. I work for a large company that have 100k+ employees. Can find a person within the company just by searching for there names. I never had any problems with lagging issue or disconnected. This is a great way to communicate within a large organization. I can also have group chat for the whole team so that everyone can help each other out throughout the day. Highly recommended.

Cons: One of Cisco Jabber limited is that they don't have a lot of Emoji.

Cisco Jabber enables global workers to communicates efficiently and timely with one another.

Pros: The ability to integrate with Cisco WebEx. I can easily see when my colleagues are in a WebEx meeting or are unavailable or any other current status.

Cons: Jabber phone calls crash my Jabber, unusable at this time. Would like to see Cisco Jabber communicate with my Cisco softphone.

Overall: Instant communication with my global colleagues, integration with Cisco WebEx, mobile app ability to always be available to global teams and colleagues.

Its like MSN but newer with less features.

Pros: It enables me to keep in constant contact for any issues with other members of our team. Also serves as a softphone giving the option of either picking up calls or answering through the interface.

Cons: Seems like there could be so many additional features included. I really feel this software should include videoconferencing as it fits the niche market.

Overall: Effective for team communication at the office.

Pros: It enables me to interact with my colleagues, make phone calls, chat, share screens, transfer files, have conference call with chats and shared screen

Cons: It has a habit to freeze from time to time and exit button just closes the GUI and does not kill the process. So if you restart it - nothing happens, you have to end the process first

Overall: Collaboration is a great thing, also I can use IP telephony with this app

Pros: I am using Jabber in my daily working routine to connect with other employees of my office. It gives functionality of chatting, calling and sharing pictures or Screenahots.

Its light weight and it automatically get launched with a system is turned on. One can also create groups for scheduling meetings. It also has the function of Status- Available/ Busy/ DND

Cons: Its a good product but chat doesn't saved for longer period. Moreover sonetimes it auto logged out users.

Overall: In my personal touch its good as it interconnect employees of the corporate.
