Pros: Great collaboration tool which includes voice calls, voicemail, chat, meeting integration w/outlook, and can even be setup with WebEx. Very easy to use and Cisco is constantly adding new features.

Cons: Only draw back is that the chat feature is all or nothing. This feature cannot be enabled on a per user basis. You need to turn it on for the entire company.

Pros: Cisco jabber is the convenient way of interacting with people and share updates regarding your work with them. There are bunch of features like screen share and remote control of other computers which are great

Cons: In Cisco jabber we can't share screenshot in group of people. Meetings remainder feature is not available. Apart from this it is good

Pros: This is extremely easy to use. A great resource for communicating with colleagues. These internal communication tools have been blowing up and this one has been around for ages. It's a great, reliable tool and gets the job done.

Cons: Not as trendy or as flashy as their competitors but as far as I can tell they all have the same features and functionality.

Overall: Like it but there is nothing stand out amazing when compared to their competitors.

Pros: The UI is very simple making the learning curve quick for even our least tech-savvy users. It integrates pretty easily with our other Cisco prodcuts

Cons: Not feature rich. Constantly signing in and out. Tools like Slack provide so much more useful functionality at similar price point.

Pros: This is a pretty straight forward app that is easy to use.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do, without slowing you down.
It is easy to see who is online and easy to change one's own status.
It is modest in terms of emojis - but I think this is what makes it so functional and allows less time to be consumed on the things that distract us.
It is also very easy to start video conference meetings directly from the app.

Cons: If you like all the bells and whistles of other messaging apps - then this is not for you.mojis
It is pretty simple in terms of emojis and may feel a bit backwards in comparison to other apps out there. On the other hand - it does allow you to focus on work.

Overall: I like the fact that this tool allows me to focus on my work needs and does not distract me from work. It does what it is meant to do - no more and no less. And does it well.

Pros: Cisco Jabber is very easy to use.
It will sync with my webex meetings and remind me when meeting starts.
floating icon on desktop i like that.
chats are also cool.

Cons: I don't see much issue or cons in Cisco Jabber.
it is a great tool but i feel some time i am not able to find history properly.

Pros: I enjoyed the sound effects and the images you could do with this internal chat software. I also liked that it loaded it up when you booted up without you having to login.

Cons: We had our phones connected to Jabber and the phones never really worked very well. I am pretty tech-savvy but I could not figure out how to get the "soft phone" to work.

Overall: Fun daily connection with my coworkers!

Pros: I use Jabber every day. I love how easy it is to use and appreciate the means to chat and dial using my computer.

Cons: I have some sound issues with Jabber however I don't believe that is a software issue but is rather an internal technology problem.

Pros: Automatically logs chat history, even after reboot. It makes it quick and easy to get answers, especially during meetings. It does seem to be improving with new releases.

Cons: How to dial out on the phone isn't obvious.
Get popups to enter password if not on VPN and keeps losing voicemail credentials. Crashes about once per week, and the report crash feature isn't clear on what to do to report the issue.

Jabber is great for Interoffice communication!

Pros: My organization uses Jabber as a IM tool and it is great. cuts back on the number of emails or phone calls someone can make to ask a simple question. It has the ability to integrate with outlook so you can view people presence to determine if they are available to chat or not. there is also the ability for video messaging, however my organization does not use this. you have the ability to create a contacts list for quick and easy use, and there is the option to create a chat group if there is more then one person you want to give the same message to

Cons: Jabber is a very simple tool and if you use it for what it is designed for it works great. i dislike that the video messaging is a separate license option as it would be nice to have that build into the core functions. other then that Jabber has served it purposed for me 10 times over. nothing negative to say about this product.

Pros: We use this software in all of our offices so that communicating is incredibly easy, both in our local office and in our offices throughout the company.

Cons: The first time I used this software, I had to do a hard reset. However, once we reset it, it began working and I have not had a problem since.

Pros: I liked it very much it has beautiful UI and Symbols, we can easily share our screen with someone and share images so this is very good for solving the communication issues.it is very fast

Cons: one thing I feel bad for that previous it does not store previous communication images.in a simple word after two days it clear the images which we sent to someone.

Pros: I like that you can personalize your own color font. It is nice to be able to hear a noise when you get a message in case you are not by your computer. The emojis are fun.

Cons: I wish there was more of a walk through to learn how to use it. I have been using it for a few months now and I still don't understand how to do certain things

Overall: I am able to contact my coworkers quickly without traveling far.

Pros: Voip calls on mobile . The ability to make calls to normal number via voip is amazing. This comes in handy with the other party is having data network issues.

Cons: Administration of the application is almost impossible. It seems the most suggestible thing to do when there are errors is to restart passwords. This causes downtime and frustration for employees

Pros: This software allows for users to communicate quickly and conveniently. I always use jabber to ask coworkers quick questions that would either take who knows how long via email and or the time to go and find said individual.

Cons: The only issue I have is that there is no easy way to archive the conversations you have a on jabber so you can go back and reference things.

Pros: The UI is fairly simple and is easy to use. The ability to see historic chat messages enables one to pick up conversations from where they left off as well as retrieve previous information. The ability to send messages while on calls allows us to run team meetings with clients efficiently.

Cons: Voice calls are not always seamless. The voice quality is often choppy even with good internet speeds.

Pros: Being able to communicate with employees around the world by phone, email, web, messaging, etc. The software is great depending on how it¿s being used. I¿ve worked with Cisco products elsewhere and find that there was little to no system issues. It¿s amazing how you can conduct meetings face to face elsewhere by web and associate with everyone in the office.

Cons: The software will malfunction and completely stop performing its duties. Jabber will interfer with how avaya which is a phone system operates causing disconnection in calls and system freezing. I noticed after not using jabber the calls became normal and the system freezing discontinued. I find that a lot of call centers offering work from home positions requires the use of jabber and has implemented the use into company policies resulting in termination if the software is not used however on site employees are not required to use the software. The software can be used as spyware within a security team.

Overall: The software is great however behind every system operation is a person. My experience elsewhere has led me to believe that a person motives could be good or bad. Before I rate the software as horrible I will question the motives of the one controlling the software within the company. You are the designer and I must admit you¿ve done a great job. How companies use your product is on the company once the product is sold. I¿ve noticed small businesses and employment outside of call centers experience little to no malfunctioning when using your product. Big business and corporations is where I experienced the most software issues.

Pros: Cisco jabber is best IM to interact with teammates from any remote location. Automatically changes of availability status according to meetings. Share sceen and control screen remotely.

Cons: Can't share screen with group of members. Last seen and message seen option is not available in Cisco Jabbar yet.

Pros: Its user friendly behaviour. Anybody can use it easily. We can share our system screens to other employees. We can also give our system control to others to operate. Its status shows that we are on our systems or not.

Pros: I am a very mobile person and reach-ability on my office extension is also very important. Cisco Jabber solved this problem in a very effective way.

Cons: Africa with its mobile data issues the challenge of connectivity cannot be ignored. And of course you need a smart phone or smart device which comes at a cost.

Overall: I am reachable on my extension 24/7

Pros: It was a great way to see the availability of different colleagues and ask quick questions that would bog down an email inbox. It was also easier to type quickly than on a phone.

Cons: Unfortunately, we also had virtual phones paired with the software and issues with connectivity with the phone headset. Also there was issues of being online at various locations or visibility.

Overall an adequate chat app with features that tie to Cisco phones and Outlook.

Pros: The tie ins with Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones work very well.

Popup notifications for meetings and call notifications are clear.

Interaction Options selectable from within the individual contact screens are robust. This is most noticeable when you are connected to Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones. You can pretty much do anything to conduct or initiate a meeting from in the Contact window.

Automatic status changes when it detects your on the phone, in a meeting, etc works very well.

Cons: Lets start with if you don't use Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones you will not be able to leverage many features. In this case, you may want to consider other options.

I have some small complaints such as:
Inability to make the popups "on top" of any windows when triggered. When you don't already have Jabber chat open the only indicator is the icon on the taskbar is lit.

As a deployment: An upgrade of the client is not a simple install-over of the latest client. It requires (thus far) an uninstall of the prior, then install of the current. This forces planning and user notification due to the possible interruption. As mentioned, this ties directly into Cisco phones. User can be hung up on as the client uninstalls and reinstalls if they had a call during this time.

Overall: I recommend this software if you utilize Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones.
It has a lot of features that allow you to manage communication to Contacts all from in Jabber.

Cisco Jabber enables global workers to communicates efficiently and timely with one another.

Pros: The ability to integrate with Cisco WebEx. I can easily see when my colleagues are in a WebEx meeting or are unavailable or any other current status.

Cons: Jabber phone calls crash my Jabber, unusable at this time. Would like to see Cisco Jabber communicate with my Cisco softphone.

Overall: Instant communication with my global colleagues, integration with Cisco WebEx, mobile app ability to always be available to global teams and colleagues.

Pros: Jabber is a fantastic way to contact someone unobtrusively. You can see their status if they are Away, in a meeting, or on the phone. If someone tries to call you while you are on the phone, you can drop them a message in Jabber to let them know, or they can send you a message without trying to call first. You can send image, attachments, and even emojii characters.

Cons: The initial cost and setup is a large drawback. Configuring the software to work with the phones requires specific settings on the phones through Cisco Call Manager to be set properly. Thankfully Cisco has a very talented support team that can help walk you through any of the initial set up pains.

Overall: This software is very useful and more secure than other products like it, and it's really a fantastic way for team members to remain connected to one another.

Pros: I like this interface because it's very user-friendly and easy to use, from this we can communicate with our staff within same building of outside the country, so this is very productivity software. its screen sharing feature is good.

Cons: its take a long time of loading and sometimes it says unresponsive cisco jabber do you want to close it. I don't like this message.

Pros: A powerful tool for collaboration, Jabber has always been at the for front of communication. Though most teams are moving towards MSFT Teams, jabber consistently meets standards.

Cons: The interface desperately needs an update. While Cisco does provide excellent services, I just think a more modern look would be better.

Pros: Jabber is great for office environments. I love that if you have the phone integration as well, you can see someone's status of whether they are on the phone etc. This is very helpful during a customer service environment when you have people waiting to speak with someone. It is also great for instant communication between employees. There is a storage environment for screenshots for those who need to send files instantly without email.

Cons: I'd like there to be an option to share screens with other employees. It would be a great feature to add to this already awesome communication tool.

Pros: I ran a call center which used an all Cisco network, I downloaded the app and used Jabber on my cell phone, and this allowed the supervisors and floor managers to reach me at any time. I was also able to call their extensions directly when needed.

Cons: I can't really blame it all on the application however, I would get disconnected and I wouldn't know so people couldn't reach me, it may have also been related to the security behind my internet connection, but it was a hassle.

Overall: If you have a cisco network it's a useful tool mainly if you are not always in your office since it allows you to have your office phone on your mobile device all the time.

Jabber is very useful and easy to use!

Pros: I like that I can instant message, call, and video all in one application. It is a pretty convenient one-stop shop for communication.

Cons: It isn't a very visually appealing software. I also have trouble sending pictures sometimes, as it says the file is too large or unable to send.

Overall: This software makes it easier to instantly communicate with co-workers when needed.

Pros: Very easy to use and it integrates into Cisco Phone system.
Screen sharing and capturing works great.
Able to access voicemail messages from phone system right in the app.
Clean user interface.

Cons: Unable to add pictures or screen share from group chat.
Can be hard to manage if you don't have a network admin that is good with Cisco.
Can be hard to troubleshoot if it does not work.

Pros: I do like how easy it is to organize groups and start group chats with Jabber. I also like that you can choose a list or tabs for all open conversations. And I appreciate that when I am on Do Not Disturb, new chats don't pop up on my screen; this is helpful for screensharing.

Cons: I dislike that the video chat box comes up every time I place a phone call through Jabber. It would just take one accidental click for me to be sharing video. There should be a setting that allows your default to be "Never Share Video" or something similar. My organization rarely, if ever, requires video chat. It shouldn't pop up every single time.

Pros: Ease of use is the biggest pros of Jabber. It's simple and useful. Some of the useful features that we generally like are group chats and screen capture. Connectivity is also great and there are a very few downtimes so its helpful for time-critical jobs.

Cons: One of the main Con of Jabber is its lack of feature. Nowadays everything is so fast paced that we need a lot of feature in there which can make it more useful and beneficial for the business. It's look and feel is still of the pre-millennium era and can be improved a lot laced with some very useful features like presentations, polling, emoticons etc.

Overall: Although there is an immense scope for improvement still there are quite a few benefits that we reap from Jabber. The main one is connectivity and communication. We can have group chats whenever required and ease of use is really good.

Frustrating at times, nice when it works.

Pros: I love the simple layout. Jabber is more responsive than other messaging for Business. Jabber offers very good features, such as voice calls, video messaging, screen sharing with remote control. Has the ability to change fonts/colours/styles. Conversation history can be saved. Ability to add avatar. Ability for Windows, Mobile, and MAC applications. It does handle Voice Mail if you have supported features, and does integrate with outlook for upcoming meetings, and will change your availability status if you're in a meeting. Ability to call into Cisco Webex meetings

Pros: I love the way they have integrated instant messaging, audio and video conversations, desktop sharing, and conferencing in one tool for my laptop. It even has a small snipping tool included to share screen shots. It's my ideal program for working during traveling.

Cons: The only con I have found so far is that when you are not on the intranet of your company, it is hard to add new contacts to your contact list, I guess the best solution is to take some time to do this while being at the office.

Overall: instant messaging, audio and video conversations, desktop sharing, and conferencing.

I use it for work everyday and love the convenience!

Pros: The reliability is what I like most about Cisco Jabber. It was built with the user in mind, and as with most Cisco products it works better than most. As a chat tool, it doesn't have the freezing issues that Lync has, and as a softphone the uptime seems to be better than Avaya Onex.

Cons: I haven't seen anything about Jabber that I don't like. Cisco products are built for enterprise solutions, and Jabber is no exception.

Overall: Cisco Jabber is fulfilling the needs for a softphone solution, and as with most Cisco products, does not disappoint.

Pros: Jabber is a little more complicated than other similar tools. However, this does mean increased functionality. There are many little features that can be changed and modified to tailor this tool to an individual needs. the call forwarding is the most vital part of this tool for me. Where it is a soft-phone I forward my calls to my cell when i am not at work.

Cons: This tool has all the function that one could desire, however, it can be complicated to configure some simple things. for example, it took a fare bit of time to setup contact groups. Once they are created they are easy to manage. Other than this I have no issues with Jabber.

Pros: Jabber has been a great communication tool for quick easy instant messaging. The interface itself is very customizable based on a companies' needs. This program is also controlled by your company IT Department, so there is no need to have to deal with a third party for help.

Cons: The Jabber program does take up a lot of bandwidth, so you have to be prepared for that before going all in. The monthly cost is rather high in our opinion.

Overall: Great, easy communication tool for our employees. Offsite employees using this program feel as if they are a part of the team.

Pros: What I like best is the conferencing and transfer capabilities. When a customer calls with a question I might not know the answer to, I can connect them to the person who does. I can also stay on the call to learn and be able to answer the question on my own next time.

Cons: What I don't like is the fact that there are no pop up notifications that alert you when you have a voicemail, or a missed call from someone.

Cons: I have noticed that the software get's buggy when phone platforms have been updated. And the user's have to wait for a fix before everything goes back to normal.

Overall: Great software to keep everyone connected. The application easily can be added to android and iPhone and all you have to do is leave the application running and your office calls easily will be transferred to your cell phone when they come in. Worth looking into, if your looking for a better means of staying connected.

Pros: Jabber is a solid chat client for the corporate environment. The desktop app is very robust and integrates well with other Cisco products. We have it integrated with our Cisco video phones and WebEx. You can share your desktop, launch a WebEx meeting or take calls over VOIP. It is easy to search for coworker with the active directory integration and organize contacts in groups. It also allows you to view missed calls and listen to voicemail if you have it integrated with your phone system. It will also remind you of WebEx meetings and allow you to launch them from the pop-up reminder. Overall, with the integrations, I believe it is one of the more feature complete chat clients on the market.

Cons: The mobile app is the only real weak point for Jabber. They have improved it a little over time, but it still has issues. I have used it both on iOS and Android and it is a battery hog. Significantly more battery drain when it is running. Also, it does not save login information when using single sign-on. This means I have to re-authenticate every time I open it fresh. This makes me question whether or not to open it when on the go.

One other issue is slow file transfer. The feature is there and easy enough to select a file, but the transfer is very slow and fails at times. Could be better.

Overall: Jabber allows our users to communicate easily and efficiently throughout their work day. It gives quick access to WebEx and phone functions with other Cisco integrations.

Pros: Able to have multiple chat windows. Team chat windows. File transfers. Status, Location. Highly accessable.

Cons: Chat history seems to only hang around on local machines and only until it is rebooted. I have not found a setting for this.

We are moving away from jabber because there doesn't seem to be a way to have chat rooms where people can drop in and drop out.

Overall: This software does do what it is designed for. It allows our company to keep in contact with each other.

When I use Jabber it gives real-time information and instant messaging to reduce delays I like this

Pros: What I really like about Jabber is that it gives real-time information and instant messaging and reduce delays. I really like this part its like instant messaging made even easier, voice and video calls is seamless, voice messaging, desktop sharing I would recommend Jabber to any organization.

Cons: The thing with Jabber because its not a popular as the skype and those others we are only able to use it in house right now, hopefully more organization will begin to use this tool.

Pros: With this program we have the advantage of training helps, thanks to remote presentations. It is excellent for audio and video calls.

Cons: The integration with Outlook should be a bit more flexible and complete. At the moment its only works with the calendar but it should have advantages with emails and contents. For example, at the end of the chat, there should be an option to send it by mail.

Pros: We used it initially in the company, it connects the entire company together, easy lookup and adding to groups.

Cons: THe search seems to have an issue. It will not show all the options of a particular name but only what fits in the screen. It also has some lag.

Pros: Keep in touch with the collaborators of your organization. Not only is it a chat, you can also receive voice and video calls. It is excellent for all types of companies.

Cons: Sometimes the synchronization with the outlook is not accurate. As new versions come out these little issues are being corrected.

Pros: So easy to send a quick chat to someone across the building. It's an easier way to page someone to come into your office if you're on the phone.

Cons: You are unable to paste any content or screenshots into the message field. It would be helpful if you needed to present a quick idea to someone and they were able to see what you send.

Pros: Supports extras like desktop sharing and video calling. Can be used as an extension in Cisco Call Manager. Allows for easy file transfers. allows for quick instant messages to colleagues. nice integrations with Outlook calendars for free/busy information and automatic status updates.

Cons: No Linux support for anything other than simple IM messages. Interface can be a little bloated. Can be tricky to implement with internal and external networks for universal access

Overall: An IM tool that is integrated with your phone system.

Pros: Cisco Jabber is a great tool to use among colleagues for a quick pop-up message. The program integrates with your phone system to allow handset-free calling.

Cons: Some features are difficult to get to and use. Sometimes it will let you leave a message for someone who is away from their computer, but other times, it doesn't notify you that a message has been left.

Pros: I am using this software since last 7 months, it is a user friendly and time saving software. The best part is one can see all the chats done in the past even after closing the chat. It helps in saving time a lot as there is no worry about the data. All is in store for use at anytime.

Cons: One thing which I would like to suggest that there should appear employee information on clicking on its name like contact number and designation. It will become more suitable then. Else it is good now too.

Overall: Ease to connect with employees sitting anywhere in the world. Chat history which never disappears is the best part. Time saving & user friendly software. I am happily using it.

Pros: we can see the profile i.e online/offline status, phone number, mails id . Screen/desktop sharing feature is quite easy and consumes less bandwidth as compare to other software like slack.
'Send mail' option is really time saving . User can Customize status according to his need.scheduling meeting and easy integration with outlook are impressive feature, in one click we can see the meetings detail from jabber, can schedule a new meeting .

Cons: i don't see any option like slack where we can use any other app with in the jabber just like we do in slack.
on my personal PC i found that history get deleted automatically after few days, there should be option to retrieve the history which got deleted previously automatically.
Emoticons are less in Jabber as compared to slack

Overall: i have been using this for more then 3 year and it makes my work like scheduling meeting , chatting with teammates singly or in group very easy. i do not need to look for my notebook or anywhere to find the phone number and email id to contac the person and it can be easily seen in jabber.

Pros: Though the product doesn't gives you anything special I do like the simplicity of using its features. The one click meeting feature & integration to webex is cool too. The option to update the change in your location is helpful for people like me who work from multiple locations.

Cons: You chat history is archived very soon & its a pain to retrieve it. I have seriously no idea why would they do that? I started taking screenshots of my conversation for future reference. The docking window on top of screen is another pain specially wen you are using remote desktop connections.

Pros: Best part is it will sync your calendar and you can join meeting directly if meeting is scheduled using cisco webex
