Pros XD makes it super easy to get digital mockups completed and create prototypes for web based projects. August 27, 2020 5.0 Adobe XD is a great prototyping tool that can help creating interactive User Interface for different platforms such as smart device, apps and Web UI. I use Adobe XD for my clients to create prototypes of our website / software before starting the development. Being a designer/developer I found it very helpful tool. The plus point is that its has free version. Pros Adobe XD prototyping and UI design tool is easy to use and learn. Saves much time once you learned the tool. Components easily can be easily created. It is fabulous that initial plan is free, anyone can learn to use the tool. Very easy to import designs from sketch and other design tools. Cons Iis not much scaleable as compared to some other prototyping softwares. Wire-framing is excellent but lacking in some other sections. collaborate with anyone is not easy. Teacher Design Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Good at everything, but expert at nothing" November 14, 2020 4.0 I discovered Adobe XD more than a year ago and it was my first modeling tool. I made somethings great and today I can teach to my students how to modeling and prototyping their first pages and applications. However, Adobe XD does not allow you to work as accurately as some Adobe or other creative software and this is a great disappointment. Today when I work on models I consider using Sketch or Figma, Adobe XD is my backup choice. Pros Adobe XD has the advantage of being part of the Adobe suite, which ensures great flexibility with other software. Working with Photoshop, Illustrator or After Effects is very practical thanks to a simple export of your work on these softwares. Cons Adobe XD has nothing to envy other modeling software and is very late. The organization of his work is difficult between layers, component color schemes and typography which are very messy. Adobe XD does not allow to do a work as precise as other software and wants to answer all the problems at the same time: modeling, retouching and prototyping when modeling seems already difficult on some points. Pros It is incredibly easy to use, has a lot of functionalities other software doesn't, and the best part is that it is fluid, has only what we need to design interactions and it makes the software light. To be able to mock up something in Photoshop and with the click of a button, port it into XD and make it a functional prototype, is pure gold. The way it handles layers and animation is good, but could still be improved a lot. For those who are familiar with Adobe, and it's products, this will be a very small learning curve. Cons The ability to ONLY integrate within adobe products. My design team has recently migrated to using Sketch for all UI/UX design as it's more robust and lite weight. Pros \- It is a tool in which you can use the main tools for free, the payment option allows you to unlock extra functions. - It can be designed very easily, its interface is totally friendly and it is very pleasant to use. - It integrates very easily into the entire adobe suite. - There are many plugins and features available. I have tried it in comparison with Figma, it is not on the same level. UX is abit difficult and i seriously recommend adobe try to roll out for online training on their platform instead of the Guide on how to show you around the software. Adobe must include more than 7days free trial on their products. I am currently using Adobe Illustrator and it is still very new to me. Cons The minimal time i have to fully explore and test this software. The price packages is also not that affordable. If i am a startup business i would like to have a 30 day trial period on all Adobe products to ensure the best for my clients and at the end Adobe reaches more and more happy clients. Adobe XD act as bridge between them by providing ease of designing and extracting the design to be use in front end development. Cons If some css is not supported by a browser Adobe doesn't provide details of that particular styling . For projects of bigger impact, it might be better to try other alternative before making a definitive choice. Pros It's super handy to start new projects. You can create mockups of websites and apps. You can start by creating some small projects to get used to the tool. Once you took time to learn how to use it, it will be easier for you to add in some others components you want, like plugins and else. Cons There are other apps out there that are more flexible and with more options to use. Adobe XD is great because it's part of the all Adobe tool BUT, definitely not the best out there. Rewards intelligent use of styles and grouping to make massive changes with a click of the button. loads lightning fast and allows live comps without extra work. Cons There are some head-scratching choices they've made that mean I can't yet leave Photoshop for XD as my go-to web design software. Why is there no export assets function? Why can't I even export image assets from XD in the dimensions and cropping I'm using them in on XD? I would have to go back into Photoshop and slice up my images there, which is not optimal. It's also almost too simplistic, you keep thinking that you must not understand the program and must be missing something, but no, there's really not much to this program. I understand they're trying to keep it simple, but it's almost too dumbed down to be useful by a serious professional. " December 27, 2018 4.0 My overall experience has been great. I use this software almost exclusively for designing and prototyping at this point. Being able to import Apple and Microsoft UI kits saves so much time and energy! Lots of companies are making the switch to XD for their UX/UI design needs from what I understand. Makes sense! Pros For a free software, this is unbeatable. Loaded with features for designing and prototyping. More intuitive and fun to use than other UX design software. It’s part of the Creative Cloud, which is integrated with the other Adobe programs, including an easy, professional portfolio builder! Cons There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but it’s well worth it. With other design software, I felt like I invested a ton of time into learning how to use it’s complicated features/navigation, only to be disappointed by the limits of its overall functionality. It’s really reliable and fast. I could accomplish creative works using Xd. Pros Abode Xd is a good software product from adobe that is really great for UI/UX design works. The best feature of Xd is It’s amazingly fast. It won’t be lag behind when we are multiple works on our art board. Assure the easiness in creating and manipulating the design works. And the built-in prototyping tool helps to do the prototyping just in the same app. I would also like to point out that, it offers really useful plugin support. Cons It’s not useful to synchronize my design. As I am using Adobe, the file format is .xd, which is not supported in Sketch app that my team/colleagues use. In turn I can access designs done in Sketch app on Xd.
