### "Great for UX/UI design"

September 25, 2019

5.0

Most of the agencies and clients I’ve worked with use Adobe Creatuve cloud in their design departments, so they already have Adobe XD installed. I never have to worry about compatibility with PC or Mac since it’s compatible on both. I’ve been able to demonstrate prototypes by sharing a link generated within the software, no third party plugins or exports needed.

Pros

I like that it’s quick and easy to create interface designs with Adobe XD. I can make wireframes, low fidelity, and high fidelity prototypes relatively easily. I like that I can import style guides and components, as well as add plugins to extend functionality.

Cons

There’s no default way to make a grid, at least on the current version I’m using. This would be helpful as most of my designs are based on a grid layout, at least columns.

Alternatives considered

[Sketch](https://www.capterra.com/p/171364/Sketch/)[Figma](https://www.capterra.com/p/175027/Figma/)

Reason for choosing Adobe XD

Most other teams and clients I’ve worked with already have Adobe XD as part of Creative Cloud.

### "Hands down best prototype tool for Startups."

June 23, 2019

5.0

The experience is smooth as butter. The interface is clean, easy to use and great to make online prototypes. It is amazing for real-time collaboration, which is essential for remote Startups, it facilitates communication and productivity by a big margin. The software is updated regularly with new features, the Adobe team is doing a great job!

Pros

It is really hard to highlight only one thing because this software has too many positive things to talk about, but if I had to choose one, it would be the interface. It is perfect for adobe long-time users.

Cons

The ruler tool is definitely not fully implemented yet as we have on the most used Adobe software (photoshop, illustrator, InDesign...).

Reason for choosing Adobe XD

I tested it for a bit, it has great features towards animation (timeline and advanced options), but the software by itself is not smooth and it crashes a lot.

### "Perfect for Web UI Work"

May 7, 2019

4.0

Adobe XD is the best prototype tool I've ever used and I cannot imagine doing web UI/UX work without it.

Pros

XD is very easy to pick up and start laying out user interfaces for desktop, mobile, and tablet. They've placed the focus on prototype creation and you can have a working prototype of a new site up and going within just a few minutes of opening up the app. Shapes and measurement tools help speed up the process of creating layouts and elements, and they've continued to evolve the tools with features like pop-up menu support and responsive re-sizing of elements.

Cons

Most of Adobe's product suffer from the complex problem of element selection. Once you have elements within groups within groups, it's complicated enough that selecting and changing one specific issue can be a real challenge. I also find the bitmap editing tools to be very limited. For example, if I want to cut out a specific portion of a bitmap I have to go over to Photoshop, do the work, then come back which is frustrating.

### "Adobe's Attempt to Compete with Sketch"

December 3, 2019

3.0

Oberall, my experience is good and I will tend to use it, but not exclusively. Sometimes I mock right in code, other times I work statically first, and when I do, I will use Adobe XD about 60 to 65% of the time. I think it's getting closer each update to being the unrivaled tool for the job for me, but it's not quite there yet. It is, in the grnad scheme of things, a relatively new product.

Pros

I like that it's part of the Adobe Suite, which may or may not be desirable for some. But since I work with the Creative Cloud, it's a useful prototyping software that has some value over other Adobe programs like Illustrator and Photoshop when it comes to sketching out static mock ups of web designs. It's also useful to have the quick share feature by uploading your work to the cloud, for clients to review.

Cons

It can still be a little clunky, for me, as someone who is used to working in Illustrator. It's kind of a little like the other Adobe programs, and a little bit different, so that can be confusing, despite the fact that some of the differences are what makes it a better tool for website mock-ups.

### "Integral tool for our design workflow "

June 18, 2021

5.0

Adobe XD is difficult to introduce into your design workflow but once you figure it out and your teams feel comfortable, that’s when the magic happens. It’s easy to deploy and super fast.

Pros

The best part about Adobe XD is the ease of deployment and how senselessly it becomes an integral part of your workflow. Quick and easy and Adobe keeps adding more useful features almost every month.

Cons

As such there’s nothing really to dislike, we do feel like it lacks some tools but then again XD was designed for speed of delivery and not necessarily and end to end tool. So no complaints.

### "Simple and the best tool for Web Prototype design"

May 29, 2023

5.0

Satisfied

Pros

1) Its Simplicity and flexibility with features makes it more user friendly2) Our design was for a big project and thus we needed more elements repetition, Adobe XD makes it easier to add/duplicate elements or content repetition and thus saves a lot of time3) One of the best part was adding animations. It behaves just like a normal website. Even my seniors, when I showed a prototype to them, were amazed and they thought that I made an actual website in mere days.

Cons

At times it becomes slow and unresponsive but its manageable. It would be better if they could create a lightweight version.

### "Adobe XD: Prototyping Simplified"

January 8, 2020

5.0

In a nutshell, my experience with Adobe XD has been a very positive one. Even in its most basic subscription plan (which is free of cost), it provides all the vital features necessary for creating and deploying incredible prototypes in a systemized manner. It maximizes productivity by creating two distinct yet intertwined workflows for designing screens and setting up interactions between them.

Pros

If you work in the area of UI/UX Design, Adobe XD is one of the critical tools you can have in your asset. Prototyping in Adobe XD is a breeze, thanks to the simplistic yet purposive interface it provides. The tools it provides for designing prototypes are very intuitive to learn and use, making it easy for new users to onboard. Adobe XD also features a separate workflow for handling the interactions within a prototype, rendering the processes of designing and prototyping interactions discrete yet fluid. Furthermore, it allows you to deploy your prototypes on the Adobe Cloud, making it easy and quick to share and test your prototypes.

Cons

Once you get accustomed to the streamlined workflow of Adobe XD, it might take you a while to adapt to those of other competing prototyping services.

### "A valuable tool for designing and prototyping"

August 24, 2019

4.0

I am able to share and collaborate on my design projects via Adobe Creative Cloud so other members of my team can see changes in real time and make notes and edits as needed.

Pros

I am grateful to Adobe for having a web design platform available within the Adobe suite. The interface is very clean - similar to Sketch. You can directly export to Zeplin with its own shortcut which is incredibly useful for sharing design specs, swatches, and asset guidelines automatically for coding purposes. Also being able to copy assets from Illustrator is incredibly useful even though the assets don't import correctly all the time.

Cons

You can not directly export to Sketch or save files in Sketch format. This is a HUGE problem. Adobe has the capability to implement this feature and simply refuses. I understand they don't want to cater to other platforms, but it is a necessity to be able to work with Mac designers as Sketch is the standard for Apple users. Importing assets from Illustrator or copying assets from Sketch files creates issues. The responsive sizing is less than ideal as it tends to warp assets and bend vector paths in odd ways. Designing within XD is fine but it doesn't seem to play well with others (even within the Adobe suite) making it my last line or defense when executing projects under Lunacy by Icons8, Zeplin, Invisionapp, and Sketch.

### "Unparalleled Prototyping Options"

September 8, 2021

3.0

I love working with XD, it's practical, easy and always new. But it needs to improve performance for Windows.

Pros

What I like most about it are the prototyping features and the ease of learning how to play with new features when they're released. It's easy and practical!!

Cons

Its instability on Windows and bugs when new versions are released. It loses a lot of performance when working with the co-edition.

### "Easy to design with, still lacks a bit of development"

October 30, 2018

4.0

Pros

Adobe XD eases the work for you. You can work with this software weven without know how it works (and if you have been working with adobe family it will be easier). Working with this program for a year, if you are prototyping this is the tool. Also you can see your prototypes or webs live, with working links

Cons

\-the price is high but it works. -the lack of development (yet) there are lots of missing tools/functionalities (in my opinion) but it seems that Adobe is working on that, there is a place to discuss and ask for missing tools/comment. - you can't use real links (they don't work) - Photoshop tools that you are used to use in illustrator for example, that you don't have in XD so you need to swich softs to achieve it. - No animation/behaviours

it made my life very easy. Since I often have to communicate ideas with clients and other creatives, with XD I can put my ideas to life.

Pros

It's the fact that it makes things easier between designers and developers and also with designer/developer and client because of it simplicity and it makes pitching even better and gives it real life experience

Cons

Nothing other than the fact that Adobe is no longer continuing with it

### "A good product with room for improvement"

November 7, 2019

4.0

Pros

XD is very easy to use and quick to learn. The built-in tutorials are good for getting up to speed and there's a wealth of additional info online to be able to undertake some of the more advanced work. Integrates really well with the other adobe products, primarily illustrator and photoshop. It integrates really well with Creative Cloud libraries too. Its been a useful tool for wireframing and then further developing the look and feel of website and apps etc. Updates are frequent and the features list seems to be always increasing.

Cons

Some features you'd expect to see - parallax scrolling, rollover effects, for example, aren't available. There's sometimes ways around this to fudge the required result but this isn't ideal. The Adobe subsription model also makes this quite an expensive option for new or freelance designers.

Reason for choosing Adobe XD

Was already part of the CC suite of software we pay for.

### "Great Software for awesome ux making"

April 19, 2022

4.0

Overall Adobe xd is one of the best ui design tool for web apps as well as mobile apps. New tools added some extra convenience for making the best ui/ux. I design ui for my apps from Adobe xd and it was very easy to use as my opinion it is just awesome tool for beginner to pro level designer.

Pros

It is simple and easy to use. We can make ux designs as well as prototyping for apps in Adobe xd. New features of transferring design to Android studio is great. It allows to save our work in Adobe cloud.

Cons

There is no web app available for Adobe xd means have to install it in your pc. There is some issue with export design as you have to go to file then from there you can export. Adobe xd give only 7 day trail for free and then you have some pricing for use.

This software helps with storytelling and day to day design work

Pros

I love to use adobe XD animation and prototyping features. I'm able to easily show developers how I want the designs to interact. It is also helpful in customer usability sessions as they are able to click through the prototype easily.

Cons

### "The Best Design Tool!"

April 24, 2020

I would highly recommend this platform for any UX designer. It also allows you to work with others in real-time. Such an amazing tool.

Pros

I absolutely love Adobe XD. I use it as my primary workspace to design wireframes and prototypes based on projects that I'm working on. It is such an easy platform to use and requires little to no previous experience necessary to run the software.

Cons

I have no cons for this platform. It runs very smoothly and I have never had any crashes or any other issues with it. I am very pleased with Adobe XD.

### "Great way to start working on UX and prototyping"

September 28, 2021

4.0

Great program to work with, it was very easy to pick it up and start working. The basic functions were very obvious and easy to pick up and there are plenty of one;ine resources to use XD in a more advanced level. I definitely have a positive experience and have made multiple project with it.

Pros

This was the first program I have used to learn UX design and prototyping. I think it has everything you need for the beginner. My favorite feature is the overall connectivity with other Adobe products. As a graphic designer I use adobe suit daily, and therefore, working on Adobe XD is great, because I can implement the assets I have created on the sister programs like Illustrator just by copy and pasting it. I also enjoy all the available plug-ins. There are tools for fast prototyping, like preset icons and buttons you can use if you need to make something fast and effective.

Cons

Although I do enjoy the available plug-ins, I believe they are user generated and you have to look really hard to find the good ones. I think it's great to access the user generated plug-ins, but would love to see some actual Adobe XD plug-ins that are of higher quality. I also think the animation and transition options are quite limited, I am hopeful that they will introduce more with future updates. Also, I love the publishing for review and publishing for developers option, as I don't need to do anything else, it does it for me.

### "adobe's answer to sketch"

November 28, 2023

5.0

Pros

I have not used its equivalent and highly praised figma, but it is by far the software with the cleanest interface and most practicality among the design tools I have used so far. It's literally like playing with a toy, the use is so fluid that it keeps even me, who gets bored easily, continuing to work for hours.

Cons

Since there is no background under the numbers indicated by the guide lines while working, you cannot see the numbers if they do not contrast with the color below, and zooming in does not work.

### "Best app for UI and simple graphics"

June 3, 2021

5.0

This is Adobe's best app to date. For the purposes it was created for, it does an incredibly good job at keeping things uncomplicated.

Pros

I love how simple and intuitive the UI is for this app. Adobe's other apps have always been so crammed with features, toolbars and windows taking up valuable screen real estate. I love the minimal approach they took with XD.

Cons

There's really not much I don't like about it, honestly. They could give a little more control over typography, but other than that, they have the right amount of everything I think.

Switched from

### "Please, Adobe, unlock XD's whole potential "

September 30, 2019

4.0

Adobe XD is a great promise. At the daily flow, with simple projects, it works fine. Some features are delivered monthly, others are forgot. A lot of features are claimed by users via forum support. Adobe seems not to care at same level. I hope that I can be wrong about it. It can be a great app of Adobe. I hope! Let's see.

Pros

Easy of use; integration with some Adobe applications; Project sharing and commenting; a big company behind.

Cons

The integrations could be more deeper, like: two-ways PS integration (to open/export booth extensions in booth apps); support for PSD/AI/EPS documents integration via CC libraries. Some essencial features were missed by Adobe: mouse-over; carousel gallery etc. Sometimes we need make some adaptations to make some prototypes work well.

### "My Experience with Adobe XD"

September 11, 2018

5.0

The business problems that I am solving with this software include interoperability, because all of our systems require the .PDF format and time due to the powerful editing features.

Pros

As a Health Information Manager, I really like having the ability to combine files. I work with a lot of files that are one-sided and two-sided, for the same patient. So I have to scan them separately and then combine them before attaching them to the record in our EMR.

Cons

I've got to say there isn't anything that I don't like about this software but, I have not experienced every feature available.

### "One of the best prototyping tool"

October 6, 2019

5.0

Pros

I like how the people behind Adobe Xd keep on updating the product to make it even better. Almost every month, they would introduce new features to Adobe Xd with more simplicity and more tools for me to present my ideas to my manager. I am able to share and update my working files to developers, which they find it very well-organised and easy for them to use them as reference.

Cons

I do encounter some minor bugs from time to time. It's very annoying but it's not a huge problem for me as they would usually fixed them in the upcoming month.

It's fascinating how over the years softwares have upgraded and the features have made tasks easier. One such example is this. Getting an Ace in the project is something that is really well brought to in this software.

Cons

Well i don't think of anything could be a con here. People have really picked up the software and have started using it to its full potential as a daily go to software. Things are not only easy bt it has brought the ease to customisation and really minimalistic approach to every problem there is.

### "Not there yet"

April 23, 2019

2.0

We did some small page mockups in it but ultimately decided that it wasn't right especially once we discovered Figma.

Pros

First of all I like that Adobe is attempting to break into this realm. They are behind the times when it comes to UI. They were so dominant for years with photoshop it's probably hard to see the changing landscape. I think they have the right idea with the interface and it simplicity. Naturally the integration with the adobe cloud is fantastic and typekit integration is AWESOME. It is a far better product than it's initial development beta for sure. It has solid integration with photoshop and probably the #1 thing, Adobe was very very smart in making this a FREE product. You don't have to have a CC licenses to use it.

Cons

It's just not thought out. At it's current stage it feels like beta software at best. No interface that's established for symbols. Clunky layer/clipping system and the prototyping just isn't there. If it has a chance to compete with sketch or figma it needs about double the amount of features and development time. I gave it a good shot and completed some projects but it just isn't there yet. I'll make sure to reevaluate this down the line to see if they haven't made any improvements.
