I am very happy with the pricing and really valuable with what i has paid. When I think about email protection, it is always SpamTitan that pop-up in my mind. Pros SpamTitan has a very good accuracy in filtering a spam and malicious emails from entering my primary inbox. It is very easy to set up my own keyword that i want to include in the filter keyword and setting up the whitelist keyword. After setting everything up, the process is automated and i don't have to constantly monitoring it as it will sent me report for every-week activity. Cons There are time that a legit email will be blocked and there are no notification sent to remind me about this activity, and resulting that email stayed in the spam inbox until i have to manually check and whitelist it. Adding domain into the software for the first time can be confusing and i had to ask for a support to fix it. Solid product, solid support, Europe based. Pros Excellent value for money, excellent detection rate, the customizability of the v8 appliance that we use is unmatched. Cons The UI is probably one of the most god awful UIs you'll see in 2025. It reminds me very much of early 2000s web interfaces. Almost like a PHPbb board from 2004. It's rare that I'll define a product as 'Perfect' and SpamTitan earned this title. Not a single complaint from our clients, not a single email lost, low false positive ratios and a super easy interface deliver the perfect experience at a very attractive price. Pros SpamTitan offers the best blend of usability, simplicity and effectiveness that we've ever encountered. As managed service providers we need a clean, easy-to-use interface and SpamTitan delivers exactly that. Its filtering is superb with very low false positives and excellent spam detection. Coupled with blazing fast delivery (zero latency) and pricing that is just right - we like every bit in it. Cons The interface has minor bugs to iron out and the message details view could be improved but otherwise it's a great service. Cant really fault anything they provide. Pros The portal for MSPs is fantastic. When you first log in you get the info for all clients with the option to dive straight into the history for all tenants. This means any emails that a client may be after is normally on the front page without needing to drill down first. Cons There is a little jumping around between different UIs, but I’m told work is in progress to put everything onto one UI. It’s still a very workable product and this is just not picking. The support team, gave me an over the phone crash course, sent me links on how to manage and in a very short time I was able to take over management of this software for our clients. I like it so much I was able to convince my company to add Phish Titan as well and between the two has severely reduced the number of SPAM emails and compromised accounts. Pros The ease of installation. The management console. The KB articles, the ability to talk to an actual breathing human if you want. Cons I wish if you had one than one Titan product it could be in one management console. Running a tab for SPAM and then Phish Titan is a little clunky. Cons the filtering seems over sensitive, finer grained filter controls would be nice! being able to receive a digest more than once a day would make a few of us happy. We are struggling with the analytics to understand why some of these emails are being scored as high as they are. Its characteristics and functions allow administrators to have control of its services and apply the necessary actions at the moment it is required. Cons I believe that the support should improve using other alternatives such as a direct chat with engineers, today opening a case, documenting it and waiting for a response is a weakness in the face of increasing threats and its propagation speed. We didn't want to sign a year or longer contract. SpamTitan was highly rated in a number of the forums that I looked at. The pricing was great for what we needed, and it was month to month. When I set it up to test, it worked just as I had hoped. The migration from our previous vendor was painless, and kudos to them that we were able to export things like our allow/block lists. There was a minimum of massaging of those lists to get them into SpamTitan. We did have some snags the first few days, and support was ready and able to get things fixed. There was sufficient follow-up. The experience overall was fantastic. Our experience showed us that the product is only marginally reliable and their support is god-awful. Pros Was easy to implement and, as the title said, it worked great until it did not. Cons This is a cloud-based product. In early August, the product totally failed. (it was a Friday morning in the US, but dont remember the date as we have moved on to an)other product). Just noticed that we were no longer receiving emails. Rerouted DNS to cut SpamTitan out of the loop and email (unfiltered) started flowing. Contacted Spam Titan and they confirmed that the cloud instance on which we were running was offline for unknown reasons. Our business is 24x7. We ran without Spam Titan on Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday, and Monday. We called for updates, on Friday afternoon, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. Each time, there were no updates and were told that we would updated by email and by phone if we left our best contact number. Well, that never happened. Interestingly, we were not offered to route through any other web-instances. By late Tuesday, we had already vetted another product and moved our production platform to the new provider. Their support SUCKS. Moreover, I am going through the same goat-ropin' with trying to cancel my subscription. If you call them and make the appropriate selection, you always go to voice-mail (again, no callbacks). If you select "technical support", they have to connect you with Customer Service (one time out of two tries, I got a live CS person and they told me that they would have to connect me with "retention". Again, no one was available but was promised that someone would call me back -- never happened. Good software for a modest price tag: not too expensive but not too cheap so they are able to cover support and pay support engineers with qualities. It works as expected. Pros The ease of setup, the integration of Bitdefender sandbox, the punctuality of the spamfilter - after training -, the user quarantine, price tag, fast and quality(!) support. The quality of the checks and inclusion of bitdefender is a big extra. And I have to mention the support again: once we ran into a problem updating the software at a customer the speed of response and willing to help and solve the issue for us analyzing the system, etc was great ( The problem caused by our fault as we gave too few resources to the VM because we waited for more RAM to the virtual hosts and didn't upgrade the settings when we had enough resources again to run all workloads.) Support was willing to recover the system to be fully functional with a remote help. Cons Looking for logs about a specific message could be easier. While it's great and usable for an experienced admin this is a bit tedious for Level 1 support guys. Pros I like that the learning curve is small, and that the support is accurate, thorough and timely. Cons Perhaps some form of AI spam filtering would improve things. July 10, 2018 5.0 Just sorting the crap emails automatically that come in saves my company hours in man hours. It's also blocked malicious attachments which is awesome because the weakest part of any security is always the people. This helps with that tremendously Pros It's as close to "set it and forget it" as you can come in the IT field. Right out of the box support helped me set everything up in less than 20 minutes, no hardware to worry about, nothing like that. Literally all I have to do is check to see if something was blocked incorrectly once in a while, white list it, and done. I've been using spam titan for almost a year and in that time we have blocked over 200k spam/malicious emails for a 30 person company before they even hit employee mailboxes. I shut off the service for 48 hours just to make sure it easy legit, it was, and I haven't shut it off again since. Whitelisting and blacklisting domains and specific emails are super easy. Support Staff are awesome and go into detail when resolving problems if they were to arise or even if you just have a question. They have always been friendly and curteous and super personable and have been some of the best people to work with in all my years doing IT. Cons The only thing I feel is missing is the ability for cloud users to create their own key word filter. Don't get me wrong, the spam filter itself is amazing, just a bit more precise control on my end to mark specific phrases or words as spam would be nice. Being able to see the email body of messages that come in as SPF fails would be helpful at times as many company's we deal with have auto invoicing that fails SPF. Other than that no issues! It only need to be setup onetime, and most of the time, i don't even have to monitor the report as they rarely blocking a legitimate email that are sent to my email. Cons There are some feature that are not available at the moment on the software, like to preview the content of the spam email, without having to whitelisting the email. Pros After going through a fairly simple setup, SpamTitan just works. It does a great job of stopping most spam and has a small number of false positives. It is also pretty easy to set up notifications on any blocked emails to ensure that proper capture is occurring. One side feature that I really like is using the web interface to see what emails have been allowed through. Using that information, when a client calls and tells us they sent an email that we didn't get, I can immediately look on SpamTitan to see if the email reached our servers at all. This allows me to very quickly determine if an email that never reached us was blocked on by our servers or prior to reaching us at all. Cons If you change a filter in the web interface to return too many records, the site will sometimes hang. I have sent in questions for support once or twice, and I do get a reply very quickly that the staff will address my question, but I often never get a response after that. Review Source AM Abhijit M. Starting from initial settings it the implementation was a breeze. But our pre sales person \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was the most helpful and a through gentleman. His cooperation was unprecedented. Cons Lacks Bite in Trapping the "Clickbait Attacks". Needs a ton of improvement in this section.
