Pros

  • The software is stable and very effective. Support agents are expedited and always willing to help to solve issues in a very effective manner.

  • This software has been the best email investment I have made. The number of features and availability of support makes this the best choice in a crowded marketplace.

  • The easy ui, and quick configure , also there is nice sync with email servers. We are using the product to our customers and pleased on over all.

  • Best spam filter out there 99% of people recommend it excellent customer service team easy to use and nice interface.

Cons

  • Can only send out one Spam Report per day which can be upsetting to end users as now they need to log in to see any recent caught spam.

  • It's lacking intuitiveness of other competitors. Regularly have to phone because a user will start receiving 'unsolicited bulk spam' and their emails get blocked sending out.

  • Our provider (Network Solutions) was terrible to begin with, and trying to work with them on this issue was futile. Their customer support is the worst I have ever seen.

  • Pattern filtering desperately requires simplification. Extremely difficult to implement pattern filters.

"Combating spam email with SpamTitan is very effective"

Overall: Utilizing SpamTitan as the primary spam-fighting app has proven to be very successful, and it has provided me with more benefits than other more well-known brands. I am very pleased with the price and consider it to be very useful for the price I paid. Whenever I thought about email security, the first thing that comes to mind is SpamTitan.

Pros: SpamTitan has a high level of consistency when it comes to preventing spam and malicious communications from reaching my primary inbox. Setting up the specific keyword that I want to be used in the blacklist keyword and the whitelist keyword is quite easy. After setting it up, the procedure is streamlined, and I would not have to keep track of it because it would send me a weekly report.

Cons: There have been times that a legitimate email has been blocked and no message has been received to inform me about this practice, resulting in the email remaining in the junk inbox until I manually search and whitelist it. For the first time, adding a domain to the app can be daunting, and I had to seek assistance.

"Good product please keep it secure "

Overall: Good solution just the hacking has me worried.

Pros: Ease of use. Upgraded interface is nice and outlook plugin.

Cons: Recent hack experience makes me nervous.

"SpamTitan - great people, easy to use"

Overall: Great customer service, excellent sales and onboarding!

Pros: I love that it is effective in catching spam, and that it is rarely wrong!

Cons: I dislike that individual users can't block an address and have it block that address for everyone easily.

"Xenomorph Reveiw"

Pros: Fairly straight forward to use and if I do have a question the response or reply is usually quite quick.

Cons: Since the new update I am not sure how to switch accounts

"Nice product, tried many others"

Overall: I tried a bunch of products before purchasing this and i would make the same decision again

Pros: The support has been great, my users like the ability to check on there own quarantine, the email digest has been popular.

Cons: the filtering seems over sensitive, finer grained filter controls would be nice! being able to receive a digest more than once a day would make a few of us happy. We are struggling with the analytics to understand why some of these emails are being scored as high as they are.

"Spam Titan is our first choice for our antispam solution."

Overall: I use it every day, life is impossible without such a service, the console has everything we need, we have gotten the spam down considerably, and support has always been quite efficient whenever I needed help. The spam reports that can be sent to user is very smart and saves us a lot of support time.

Pros: It works, which is the main reason to use them. I like the admin interface, it has all that we need and it is not a headache to browze and use.

Cons: Honestly, there is none, no spam filter is perfect, we need to work with it, and it is easy to work with SpamTitan console, and when we have an issue, the support is there.

"Good spam filter for the $$"

Overall: They are pretty proactive and responsive. I can't complain about customer service.

Pros: It has some great features like sending blocked spam reports that you can allow users to receive and release verified non spam.

Cons: Even when I set up pattern filtering some of those still get through. Fake emails from MS get though with no header/email sender info at times.

"SpamTitan Works Just as Advertised, Get it!"

Overall: I love SpamTitan. I found SpamTitan due to a need our company had. It has worked as advertised.

Pros: SpamTitan does it's job as advertised. I can block emails from specific email addresses or an entire domain. That's the sole feature we were looking for when shopping for a product like this.

Cons: So far, I don't have any cons to be honest. I have to really think deeply to find something I don't like about the platform. I guess the one thing I don't like is the new username format for entering into the admin side of things.

"Excellent product"

Overall: Positive. You keep the product update to ensure that we stay protected.

"Great technical support "

"Many many years of use"

Pros: Ease of use, once set up, only minor additions/deletions needed

Cons: Does not allow all attachments to be viewable in the console before release.

Reasons for Choosing SpamTitan: SpamTitan leaves it to the administrator to determine whether or not an email should/shouldn't be released, where Appriver allows the user to decide. I did not want that happening, users don't always know what is safe or not, and they're not the ones working thru the weekend to eradicate malware.

"SpamTitan Review"

Overall: Overall experience is great. I have recommended this product to other peers.

Pros: Ease of use and Deployment is what we liked most of SpamTitan.

Cons: Setting up to capture all the SPAM. Just takes some time to setup and get it to capture just the SPAM.

"EGroupware Cloud services use SpamTian"

Overall: Nice solution, does what it is supposed for, Support is good and good contact to TitanHD people.

Pros: User can Blacklist/Whitelist from EGroupware directly or mark mails as Spam. The archive of the last X days gives the opportunity to resent mails customer by chance deleted and don't use an separat archiving solution.

Cons: I'm missed to select internal flow easily (mails from users within the same domain). Its easy to select inbound & outbound, but we had situations where we needed to release a bunch of internal mails and that is more effort to select.

"Helps Save Time on Spam Emails"

Pros: I really like how their system blocks unnecessary spam emails. It really helps me save time having to delete unwanted emails on a daily basis, hence saving my time

Cons: Some times it could block regular emails as well, so you need to really understand the system to be able to use it properly

"Up and running in minutes"

"Spam titan-link lock"

Overall: A perfect solution and they are keeping update and upgrade it yet

Pros: Spam titan is an exallent product for email securityIt has a full of features which pro ide all the needed criteria to detect the spam emails with a very hight rate of capture And I want to focus on the new feature LinkLockWhich raise the capture rate of spam detection to a hight standard Normally if the email is clean with no malicious content it will be Mark as clean and if it include a URL which is not included in any bad categories it will be marked as clean,But sometimes the URL is bad and not included in any bad categories cause it is still new Here the link lock works and scan the URL on the fly to decide if it is clean or not and if it is not clean , it will turn the URL to a text which the end user can not click on it and keep it that way and deliver the email and even if you forward the email to someone outside your organisation it will keep it as text also which protect even your customers

Cons: Nothing for now , really it is miner issues which they always solve

"Antispam that is affordable, flexible and powerful"

Overall: Overall, we are very happy with the product and the customer support. We did have to put some time into this product but now we have a custom-fit solution, with fault-tolerance (two servers at two locations, both locations have both internet and private WAN access to the Exchange server) and we're saving thousands of dollars versus the managed solution we used to use. We can tighten things up if we wish, we have a lot of flexibility with this product. I rate it an excellent value. So much power, flexibility and fault-tolerance, for so little money.

Pros: We opted for an on-site appliance (a Linux server really, a VM in our case, but it's just a web-based console as far as configuration goes). Their cloud version is the same product running on their servers and that would relieve you of the work we put in, as I'll describe, but we wouldn't have it any other way. The on-prem version is what we like the most about this "software." We have another VM running at an alternate site, they sync with each other and one can take over if the other is down or unreachable. They also can load-balance. Yes this solution is a little more complex than are previous solution. But it's in the complexity that you get the flexibility. SpamTitan support has helped us tweak the settings based on what we're seeing in the console. Excellent history report shows everything, or you can filter very easily. Unfiltered you can see blocked (and why), quarantined, accepted...everything. If you don't see it, that email did not get to you, and in our experience it has been a Sender issue every time. SpamTitan, with the clustered configuration is less that half the cost of our old solution and we never have to upgrade or replace the "appliance" because it's just a VM, or one of our physical servers, either way, you never face an End of Life "you must upgrade" mandate from SpamTitan. Also - these servers will spool email until they can reach the email server. So if your email server is down or unreachable, you most likely are still getting email.

Cons: Well...it does require us to do some of the lifting and I have discovered there was a lot I didn't know about fighting spam. I turned on one block setting and started blocking emails I didn't want to block, okay...turn that off! We had warned all of our employees that we were switching products and to be on the lookout for spam and/or missing emails. Most reports were false, but in some cases there was a problem with the settings and this helped us to tweak the product. Also be aware that you need to use a trusted IP address or your emails may end up in the recipient's spam folder. We just used the IP from our old solution once we ran into this issue. There are certainly other examples, things not working right because we didn't set it up just right (we tend to do things on our own, we learn more that way). Every time we've gotten stuck I have gone to the website and checked their knowledge base. If I didn't find the answer I create a ticket. If you give them a console-generated code they can get into your system and look at your settings. After a month or two I think we have the settings where we want them. However, we keep an eye on the history report, watching for any signs of trouble. The product worked well right out of the box, but now it's really doing a good job, without blocking good emails (yes, some bad emails get through, but it's at least as good as our old expensive managed solution).

"Setup was very straight forward "

Overall: Once we got through the growing pains we don't have to field many helpdesk tickets from users getting use to this software coming from our previous spam filter. The other big benefit is that our previous spam filter service provider was about to double our yearly rate so your software ended up having a better spam detection rate and was also less expensive.

Pros: Easy to setup and maintain. The detection rate is fabulous. When we initially setup the software we were getting tons of false-positives but this subsided after several weeks of use after which time I assume the system started to pickup on the types of emails that we consider legit.

Cons: It would be better to have a more well rounded user portal. For those users with many false-positives in an email notice it would be good to have a way to release the emails without opening a web browser tab for each and every email to be released or at least bring the user to the portal login page so they can easily manage many releases if this is not possible through the email client. Not a big deal but it is a little annoying personally for me. I believe in the beginning I was told that there was no user portal to then later find out that there was one. Not sure where the disconnect was but this feature ended up being quite crucial for the owner of the company I work for as he was used to working in the portal of our previous product (Barracuda). The other problem that was noticed earlier on is that the daily summary emails would have these crazy ambiguous email addresses in them in the "From" field which I was told couldn't be modified. The owner of the company was very confused by this as the Barracuda would show us both the technical from address as well as what would normally appear in the mail client and would have more meaning to the end user and give them a better idea if the email was spam or not. I suggested at the time to the tech\sales person I was speaking with that this should be changed to at least show both "from" email address' so the end user is armed with more information to make an informed decision about the email being spam or not.

"Works well for us"

Overall: We've had a very good experience. This work as well or better than the previous product we used, with much less hassle and at a much lower price point.

Pros: I like that the learning curve is small, and that the support is accurate, thorough and timely.

Cons: Perhaps some form of AI spam filtering would improve things. More slips through than I care for, but some of that is self inflicted tweeks and address listings.

"SpamTitan has saved me, saved my company time, and has some of the best support people around."

Overall: Just sorting the crap emails automatically that come in saves my company hours in man hours. It's also blocked malicious attachments which is awesome because the weakest part of any security is always the people. This helps with that tremendously

Pros: It's as close to "set it and forget it" as you can come in the IT field. Right out of the box support helped me set everything up in less than 20 minutes, no hardware to worry about, nothing like that. Literally all I have to do is check to see if something was blocked incorrectly once in a while, white list it, and done. I've been using spam titan for almost a year and in that time we have blocked over 200k spam/malicious emails for a 30 person company before they even hit employee mailboxes. I shut off the service for 48 hours just to make sure it easy legit, it was, and I haven't shut it off again since. Whitelisting and blacklisting domains and specific emails are super easy. Support Staff are awesome and go into detail when resolving problems if they were to arise or even if you just have a question. They have always been friendly and curteous and super personable and have been some of the best people to work with in all my years doing IT.

Cons: The only thing I feel is missing is the ability for cloud users to create their own key word filter. Don't get me wrong, the spam filter itself is amazing, just a bit more precise control on my end to mark specific phrases or words as spam would be nice. Being able to see the email body of messages that come in as SPF fails would be helpful at times as many company's we deal with have auto invoicing that fails SPF. Other than that no issues!

"SpamTitan: A Reliable and Effective Spam Filter Solution"

Overall: I have been using SpamTitan for several months now and I am impressed with its effectiveness in filtering spam emails. The software is very easy to set up and the interface is user-friendly. The spam filtering is accurate and it has reduced the number of spam emails that I receive. It also allows for customization of spam filtering options, which is useful to fine-tune the spam filtering to my specific needs.

"Great Product and Easy to Use"

Overall: SpamTitan has done an excellent job of clearing out the loads of spam we were getting prior to putting the product in place.

Pros: After going through a fairly simple setup, SpamTitan just works. It does a great job of stopping most spam and has a small number of false positives. It is also pretty easy to set up notifications on any blocked emails to ensure that proper capture is occurring. One side feature that I really like is using the web interface to see what emails have been allowed through. Using that information, when a client calls and tells us they sent an email that we didn't get, I can immediately look on SpamTitan to see if the email reached our servers at all. This allows me to very quickly determine if an email that never reached us was blocked on by our servers or prior to reaching us at all.

Cons: If you change a filter in the web interface to return too many records, the site will sometimes hang. I have sent in questions for support once or twice, and I do get a reply very quickly that the staff will address my question, but I often never get a response after that.

"Effective, Efficient, Easy to Manage"

Pros: We are using it for email filtration system of our office 356 cloud exchange service. Starting from initial settings it the implementation was a breeze. But our pre sales person [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was the most helpful and a through gentleman. His cooperation was unprecedented.

Cons: Lacks Bite in Trapping the "Clickbait Attacks". Needs a ton of improvement in this section.

Reasons for Choosing SpamTitan: We loved the User friendly Interface , cost per user, effectivity in trapping various email threats. Also as I have mentioned earlier the approach of our pre sales person [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was very professional.

"Anti-Spam Winner "

Pros: My inbox can get pretty busy after a long day of meetings. If I don’t manage to clean them, it can clog up my emails. Once I go through these emails, I notice that majority of it is spam and junk which I don’t personally need. Blocking and moving to my spam folder is time consuming and I could do better things with that time. SpamTitan captured me from the moment I tried it and has never failed me so far. I can now manage my inbox and know that I don’t have to deal with malicious threats.

Cons: Sometimes SpamTitan can send important emails directly to the spam folder. I usually check my spam folder once a week just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
