No endless phone trees! We have also proposed certain improvements that they are implementing. I also sense that they work hard to treat their employees well, which, for me, goes a long way toward establishing goodwill. Cons There are some features that Dazychain is working to add, particularly with adding more flexibility as to assigning new intake requests to pre-existing files. Pros DazyChain has made it easy for everyone in our legal department to access information, distribute work, and keep track of the status of projects. We also love the intake form function that can be used by any of our 2,500+ employees to submit requests for help from the legal department. It standardizes our procedures and makes our legal department more accessible. Cons Like any new program, understanding how to best use it and get it set up to fit our specific line of work, process, etc. takes some time. Once we got over that hurdle, it has been great. As soon as we implemented Dazychain our team was using it constantly, it is easy to use, all the functionalities work beautifully and the search function is clear and delivers the results quickly. The customer support from the team is second to none, always happy to help and updating us with new functions or ways to improve how we're using it. Pros The outlook function for filing correspondence within matters is a game changer. Being able to search within the system for historical matters or correspondence has been incredibly instrumental for our team. We were seeking to solve the problem of not having an electronic filing system able to be accessed by all legal team members. We needed a simple and easy to use for a time-poor and busy team. Dazychain is working really well for us and the support from the Dazychain team to launch the system and embed on-going use has been superb! Pros Dazychain is easy to use and integrates well with Outlook. In an email-heavy environment, Dazychain allows me to file emails to the correct matter in a couple of click, right from my inbox. The more I use the Dazychain system, the easier it becomes, as the system prompts me to file on recently used matters. I also appreciate the easy of collaboration between team members via Dazychain with the ability to tag a team member in an action item, or send a targeted message on a matter, and the convenience that these communications are then automatically captured on the matter. Cons I would like to see improvements with aspects of the search function, including being able to conduct a more targeted search within a matter. I would also like to see the introduction of a feature that would allow emails and documents saved to a matter to be easily previewed rather than needing to download the file to view. We have been using Dazychain for 4 years. The software gave us a reasonably priced product that helped manage the burgeoning demands on time. And it continues to fulfill that role. We do not use all of the capability of Dazychain, and we do not feel we need to. One of the benefits is the flexibility in the system; adjustments can be made as you decide functionality is or is not needed. Perhaps most importantly the software has undergone constant and very useful incremental development, reflecting a desire to to the views of users and to address them. That is why Dazychain continues to be an important part of General Counsel capability at Geocon.
