Pros

  • Fulfillment workflows allow the user ease to set up unique fulfillment for specific custom fields, products, and other requirements.

  • It has completely transformed my company, and I heartily endorse it to other eCommerce companies seeking to improve productivity.

  • The ease of use from both an admin/support role and from the end user role. The UI/UX experience is hands down one of the best out there.

  • We have been able to secure some new business based on functionality we could not find in other highly rated e-commerce companies. All this on top of great customer service.

Cons

  • Liftoff's main drawback is that it can be difficult to set up, especially for non-technical users. It can take a while and be frustrating to set everything up at first.

  • It can also be frustrating for users when the software is slow, especially when dealing with large files or processing a large number of orders.

  • Another drawback is that the software does not provide my customers with a large selection of shipping options; for some customers who want more choices, this can be a problem.

  • For example, if I need to hide features or change the checkout flow, I'm limited to what can be done with CSS and JS. Looking forward to a more headless approach.

"My platform of choice for company stores."

Overall: Liftoff allows us the build robust, enterprise B2B e-commerce sites for our clients. For online company stores in the branded merch and print distributor space, I would be hard pressed to consider other platforms.

Pros: Aggressive development schedule. Robust and continually improved API. Great support for web-to-print. Lots of options for vendor and 3PL integration. I could go on.Love that Liftoff has a user community and that the team at Liftoff are active participants. Really is a value add, IMO.

Cons: I find the platform to be a little limiting when it comes to building special purpose websites. For example, if I need to hide features or change the checkout flow, I'm limited to what can be done with CSS and JS. Looking forward to a more headless approach.Note: In an older review I mentioned that batch uploads were not available to users. That has since changed and their implementation of batch uploading data is well done.

Reasons for Switching to Liftoff: The switch came with a job change. That said, I'd been looking at Liftoff for a long time.

"Liftoff is an amazing addition for any B2B or POD solution."

Overall: In closing, I think the best and most valuable part of Liftoff is not the platform but the team that makes the platform possible for all users on the spectrum of eCommerce. Their dedicated team of Account Managers and Development members make all of this possible. With an intuitive UI, I feel spoiled when using other sites in terms of accessibility and ease of use.

Pros: Highly rated features of liftoff that will impact our business and leave a lasting impression include but are not limited to Records, Pageflex templates, AFFIRM database, Back end Ordering after submission, and the ability to require validated addresses for shipments. We currently integrate with our custom ordering system and I have worked with others who rely on integrations between Liftoff and other Suppliers/Vendors for unique workflows. Fulfillment workflows allow the user ease to set up unique fulfillment for specific custom fields, products, and other requirements.Liftoff is ever-evolving with a robust offering of features that can easily support almost anything you can think of when it comes to eCommerce and print-on-demand. If it's not available, just wait it will be soon.

Cons: There is always room for improvement in any feature. but no access to system features via batch is probably the item that I like least. Such as creating Admins, Assigning Admin Roles, Adjusting Inventory, etc. I constantly work in excel and anytime I can batch upload over a manual process is an added value in my book. Otherwise, our company looks forward to updated features in relation to available website layouts and the ability to add pre-generated content sections to the Homepage or Default Layouts.

Alternatives Considered: Wix
Reasons for Choosing Liftoff: Liftoff hosts the AFFIRM database that we use for our customizable templates. While other sites may have the freedom to play with website pages and layouts with drag-and-drop editors, Liftoff natively supports our Print on Demand requirements for business printing. Other platforms offer customizable templates as well, however, Liftoff just makes sense with AFFIRM and other abilities to customize product templates such as color changing, unique behaviors for uploaded logo files, Back End Ordering after submission, approval processes, and more.I don't think there are any limits to what Liftoff can become or accomplish and our company is along for the ride.#teamliftoff

"Buzztag - Liftoff Review - Sara Souter"

Overall: I have many people in my peer mentor group interested in Liftoff, and they ask me during every meeting how it's going because they know we went through training and are trying to rebuild all of our Shopify shops in Liftoff. I don't have any good reviews to give them yet unfortunately. I thought that after 20 hours of training, we would be at least partially adept in the platform. We are not. This would have also been great to know beforehand. We were also under the impression that we (we don't have an IT dept) could build the shops ourselves and could generate POs with no problem within the platform. We specifically asked these questions before signing up. I know Liftoff has many great features we'd like to take advantage of, but it's very frustrating not being able to be self sufficient in building everything in the backend. I would love to see a learning portal set up for Liftoff so that we can easily find answers to our own questions. I would also love to see a clear and accurate list of what is and is not possible through Liftoff to give out before people sign up. Even after all the meetings, training, and emails, we are very much feeling ill-equipped, and that's not a good feeling.

Pros: Back-end reporting, Web to Print capabilities

Cons: Training - My background is in teaching & education, and that training was probably one of the worst ways to teach. [sensitive content hidden] is great. She obviously knows what she is doing, and if I have to listen to someone for 20 hours, I'm glad it was her. However, watching someone fly through something so foreign to us for 20 hours - no one can retain that information. (This also doesn't seem great for Liftoff - every time someone signs up, [sensitive content hidden] has to do 20 hours of live training? I'm struggling to see how that is scaleable.) I would have much rather had those videos prerecorded in a portal - in small and labeled chunks. Make us watch them before we meet with [sensitive content hidden]. Then [sensitive content hidden] could walk us through the creation of a small store live. On the last day of training, [sensitive content hidden] got to build some items while [sensitive content hidden] watched and helped. This was by far the most helpful hour of training. You learn by doing, not by watching someone do. Also, we received all the recorded training videos, but these are basically useless. We have 4 videos, 5 hours each, with no timestamps or any good way to find what we are looking for. Now, if we want to find something specific so we can have [sensitive content hidden] on one screen while we try to do it in Liftoff on another screen, we have to sift through hours of footage. It's a nightmare. This thought didn't occur to me until day two, and I started writing down time stamps in my notes. This is still far from ideal.

Reasons for Choosing Liftoff: More robust reporting/customer management for clients. Web to Print capabilities. We have all our stores in Shopify, and we have to rekey every order into Commonsku to generate a PO, send the PO, manage the order. We were told Liftoff could solve this problem. After all the the training and multiple conversations with Liftoff and outside developers, we still aren't sure it can do what we need, in a simple way that works for us. This would have been great to know beforehand.

"Unleashing the Power of Efficiency: A Comprehensive Review of Liftoff eCommerce Solution"

Overall: For both B2B and B2C sellers, Liftoff's many fantastic features make it simple to manage eCommerce sales, shipping, and site content. However, there are some significant drawbacks that can make it difficult to use at times, including the complicated setup process, the lack of shipping options, file handling restrictions, and the high pricing. Before making any decisions, it's important to assess whether it satisfies the particular needs of your business and to weigh the benefits and drawbacks. Additionally, the customer service is first-rate; they are always available to address any queries or worries I may have. My expectations for their responsiveness and helpfulness have been surpassed. Overall, Liftoff is a complete eCommerce business solution that provides a variety of features to effectively manage sales, shipping, and website content. It has been a fantastic tool for my business, but before making a choice, it's important to weigh the disadvantages.

Pros: For my online store, I have been using Liftoff, and I am very happy with the features it offers. Because the solution is cloud-based, I can easily access my store and manage my sales, shipping, and site content from any location. I can manage my B2B and B2C sales with ease, which is one of Liftoff's biggest advantages. I've been able to increase my efficiency and save time by using the software's many features, which let me automate workflows and streamline my sales processes. Another huge benefit of Liftoff is its shipping management tool, which makes it simple for me to track and manage my orders and provide my clients with a range of shipping options. I've been able to keep my clients informed and satisfied thanks to this. The software's site content management feature is also very helpful because it makes it simple for me to manage and update the content of my website, which has helped me keep my customers informed about new products and promotions. The team is always available to address any questions or concerns I have, and the customer support is also excellent. In conclusion, Liftoff is a comprehensive eCommerce business solution that provides a variety of features to efficiently manage site content, shipping, and sales. It has completely transformed my company, and I heartily endorse it to other eCommerce companies seeking to improve productivity.

Cons: Liftoff is the software I've been using for my eCommerce business, and while it has a lot of great features, there are some cons as well. Liftoff's main drawback is that it can be difficult to set up, especially for non-technical users. It can take a while and be frustrating to set everything up at first. It can also be frustrating for users when the software is slow, especially when dealing with large files or processing a large number of orders. Another drawback is that the software does not provide my customers with a large selection of shipping options; for some customers who want more choices, this can be a problem. Furthermore, some users have mentioned that the software occasionally has issues processing various file types; this can be problematic when attempting to upload or process specific file types. Finally, some users may find the pricing plans prohibitive due to their high cost, especially for small businesses.

"Liftoff E-Commerce Review"

Overall: Liftoff has shown us that they are a legitimate player in the software industry related to a full ERP solution. Each day my team and others are continued to be impressed by the capabilities of the software.

Pros: The ease of use from both an admin/support role and from the end user role. The UI/UX experience is hands down one of the best out there. Support staff and owner involvement. Normally you would not want the owner of the company to be so involved, but the way in which he leads the team and is an extension of our sales department is a breath of fresh air. They positive interactions I have had with the support staff are to numerous to count. Turn time on projects is both expedited AND on budget.

Cons: It is often times easy to pull out the con's about a particular software. I am hard pressed to point out a single item that I like least about the software. Obviously with any software you want it to work exactly how your customer requests, what Liftoff does well is handle the curve ball with an option that satisfies the need - without the customer realizing the shift in focus has given them likely a better result!

Reasons for Switching to Liftoff: It has been a partial switch....not looking back at this point!
