VR Verified Reviewer Owner Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Overpromised, Underperformed, and Unresponsive" August 11, 2025 1.0 I chose Vendasta because I was looking for a single platform to manage all of my agency clients. It seemed to offer everything I needed, and the sales team convinced me to give it a try. To test the platform, I set up my own business first—a business where I’ve personally done all the marketing, SEO, and web design. I know the digital footprint well. Vendasta’s snapshot report immediately flagged dozens of serious errors that were simply not true—everything from failing grades for SEO to claiming I had only 8 backlinks (I used Yext for backlink creation, which is the exact same tool Vendasta uses). It couldn’t even detect my active Yelp and Facebook accounts, both linked directly to my Google Business Profile. I contacted support multiple times, providing proof that the data was wrong. Instead of resolving the issue, support eventually stopped responding. When I decided to cancel, I was sent a form requesting account information they already had. I filled it out—twice—and my account still isn’t canceled. I was also promised a refund by my rep, which I have yet to receive. For a platform that markets itself as an all-in-one agency solution, the inaccuracies, lack of accountability, and poor follow-through were unacceptable. Pros The concept of having all agency tools in one platform was appealing. If it had worked as advertised, the convenience could have been valuable. Cons The platform’s data was highly inaccurate from the start, even for a business I know inside and out. Support offered guesses instead of solutions, then stopped responding. I question the level of SEO knowledge and if this service is outsourced offshore. I think my question was simple but no reply. No empathy or remorse from Alpha SEO or Vendasta. This was disappointing. Pros I'm pretty experienced setting up software. This was not the worst one I've ever had to set up. Cons It's not always easy to find certain things in the UI/UX. June 6, 2022 5.0 My overall experience is that this is a fantastic solution for a new digital marketing agency and I think it is a work of art and really a god send thanks again. Pros I especially appreciate real people giving advice and guiding me through the software. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has even helped me brainstorm packages and how to come at new clients. Great stuff! I am at the point where I just don't want to let him down. All of the initial freemium solutions are great for bringing new clients and getting them used to the flow of a better customer journey. Cons I think some work could be done on the actually processing of orders and getting paid. This would help the process seem less professional. It is hard to make a sell when the last step of collecting the money is a mystery and almost a roll of the dice. We could use like a credit approval form for products that are recuring and a way for the payments to show as credited on Vendastas end when we run the card. This way we can get the services started. Vendasta would then just take the share they are owed first and deposit the rest. The biggest benefit I've realized is that everything can be streamlined. I give one link to my team from where they can sign in and pretty much handle 90% of their workload from. Pros Vendasta has many strengths with far little weaknesses. Overall, there are many things that we find to be most beneficial including the streamlined sales and success center which let's us turn a lead into a prospect and thereafter into a sale. Among that, the insane amount of products and features available just make it a better choice from competitors that we've reviewed. Most importantly: their team. In specific, our sales rep. is \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been incredibly helpful in our entire journey, he has helped me with pricing, navigating the different functions, and most of all: closing our first sale on Vendasta. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] acted as part of our demo team and showcased every part of brand Suite, which led to a client on the other side of the coast closing with us in just an hour. If we are to really have to choose something, I'd say an option to not choose Google Meet or Zoom in bookmenow would be awesome, if we could instead have a choice that had a phone number: we'd love it! Pros it was amazing casue everything was connected and it was great to be able to post on all social media platforms at the same time. also the reporting section and the ads section where we were able to see all results and progress of the business was very good. i also like the review section where i could response to each review with provided templates. the reputation management section was also amazing. it quickly updated the information of the business on different websites. wow Cons the social media posting part has alot of bugs. when i use enter to use the next line it doesn't show in the preview. Google my business posting only works for pictures and you cant upload videos. and even with the photo the call to action button sometimes doesn't work. the video option doesn't work on Linkedin either. i cant use multiple photos for Instagram and it only works for facebook. my internet is very high speed and yet it takes time fo the pages to lead and sometimes they open with errors. if i open few tabs they don't work and i will receive errors. the emoji section is very slow... i wish there was an option so we could bring different locations of the same brand under one account so we could post on all location social media pages at once and not go through them one by one to post. the packages and what were included and the prices were a bit confusing. and there are a lot of options. there was also a mistake in our paid ads campaign where they uploaded the wrong video and we came to know 5 days later. It does make it pretty easy to keep track of campaigns and to collaborate with clients right in the dashboard (for certain clients). Cons It sometimes lags when loading the calendar view, which is the view I use most. It also sometimes gets a little glitchy where it seems to not save quite right or it will duplicate drafts. Not always, but every once in a while. Usually when you wait 15 or so minutes it fixes itself.
