### "Meant for work from home lifestyle"

October 7, 2022

5.0

The platform is amazing as you are not required to stick to your computer to attend or present your meet. You can share your PPT's sitting in your phone even while on the go. Pretty cool...!

Pros

Video, audio, chat and screen share all tied into one. Very productive

Cons

I have been using this software for 1.5 years and haven't found any glitches. It has worked smooth for us.

### "Microsoft Teams - Solution to business communication "

November 4, 2022

5.0

Communication is the main business problem being solved with Microsoft teams and so far this has been doing a great job.

Pros

This software has a great impact at my company because it is very easy to use and provides solutions to several forms of communication. Employees are island wide and even international and instead of increasing cost for physical meeting, the meeting can be done via teams either video or audio, we are also able to communicate among each other by a quick message or audio message. This software was smoothly integrated with our existing processes.

Cons

One major improvement that I’d recommend is the voice recording on computer/laptop. This can be done on phones but not on the laptop

### "Excellent Collaboration and Team Communication Software by Microsoft"

August 10, 2021

5.0

Pros

When my company shifted to remote work, we needed a platform that could be deployed and integrated into our existing workflow quickly and seamlessly. The user interface needed to be easy to navigate and use, as well as include functionality features such as screen sharing, web meetings, separate project team channels, cloud collaboration, and most of all can be used by clients and trade partners alike. MSTeams fit all of our criteria and has been adopted by many of the other teams and institutions we work with.

Cons

Over the past 18 months since we've switched to remote work, we've had 2-3 instances where there were service issues on Microsoft's side, where we could not have meetings or web calls. One time, some of my co-workers and I were shut out of MSTeams and could not log in. The issues were resolved by the next day, but it was inconvenient to have to switch to another platform to conduct meetings and communications while MSTeams was down. When the software is working normally, it's great, no real cons that I can think of.

### "Teams has an advantage over Zoom"

October 9, 2021

5.0

Pros

Internally, Teams is our go-to product to have an instant meeting. What I like best is there is no time limit for 3+ people like the free version of Zoom has. It is easy to use and is great for internal teams as it has a lot of features that make work more efficient, like chat, screen sharing, video meetings.

Cons

The reaction emojis are limited and the virtual backgrounds could be improved so they don't look so strange and bizarre. That just gets distracting.

### "A well-packed instant messaging and conference software by Microsoft"

September 11, 2021

3.0

Pros

From what I heard, Microsoft Team is part of Microsoft Enterprise and it's free of charge. What I like about Microsoft Team that most would be its ease of use. Similar to other instant mesagging apps, Microsoft Teams work the same way. Type something and send it. Morever, it also features calls and video calls. For calls and video calls, you can also share your screen, and it can even be recorded. Once recorded, Teams will host it online and will notify everyone in the group that the file is ready. Moreover, when someone start a screen recording, Teams will notify everyone in the call that the call is currently recorded. It's a well-packed instant messaging and conference tool published by Microsoft, and it's free.

Cons

There are so many things that I dislike about the software that is related to its performance issue. 1) From time to time, Teams will significantly lag and cause error. For example, sending 4 messages in order A, B, C, and D, might cause the message to be delivered as B, C, A, and D. This is extremely annoying especially when used in a professional manner. 2) When browsing through the files saved on Teams, it can lag heavily. This issue also occur when searching for messages. 3) Sometimes, when trying to send a file that was sent to another chat, Teams will always state that this file already exist somewhere, would you want to replace it? This doesn't make sense as the file is sent to another chat with another person, it should be kept as a seperate file. 4) When downloading a file, Teams doesn't even show the download progress. How can I know that it is already done? 5) When video conferencing and share my screen, I can't see other people faces. This will put the speaker and the screen sharer in an awkward position where everyone see you but you don't see them. Most importantly, I won't even be able to see their reactions to my presentation.

Switched from

From what I heard, Teams is free as part of Microsoft Enterprise. Moving from Slack will help the company save a lot of money.

### "Helpful in Meetings and Online Collaboration"

January 23, 2022

5.0

Pros

I liked being able to set meetings with a variety of recurrences, and even having multiple presenters in a meeting. Best thing about this is that we can share control in any meeting or a call, thus turning the meeting into a collaboration room. Meetings that are recorded are stored in chat as a message, so that you won't need to check the recordings and see which meeting occurred first.

Cons

We can't reply to a specific message the way we do on Whatsapp or Instagram. Adding this feature would really make chatting a wholesome experience. Task management could have some more features, like creating pipelines for the same and the ability to integrate with third party tools like Jira and Redmine for status tracking.

Switched from

[GoTo Meeting](https://www.capterra.com/p/163332/GoToMeeting/)

GoToMeeting didn't allow sharing of controls and saving the recorded meeting in the chat.

### "#MyTeamsXperience"

October 7, 2021

5.0

Communication is more effective through Microsoft Teams real chat, unlike emailing. This speeds up the process of solving internal operational problems. I have also used Microsoft Teams in my studies for distant learning - this brings up an easily accessible solution to remote learning, even across boarders.

Pros

Real time chat enhances work efficiency especially in urgent cases and also reduces email clutter at work. Remote work is also much more easier with teams, I can work from home and still be able to attend meetings at work from my home. Document sharing and increased transparency also enhances business communication. Guest sharing also allows communication with external users.

Cons

The two factor authentication, although important for security reasons, can be annoying especially when I don't have my mobile phone close to me.

### "Teams and collaboration"

September 17, 2021

5.0

I have been very pleased with Microsoft Teams. It has become the main source of communication for our Division. We have over 70 employees (in 2 states) within our division. Teams allows for seamless communication, whether with instant chat, audio calls, or video calls. It has all but replaced email for communications within our team.

Pros

The instant messaging/chat feature is invaluable. There are times when a phone call or meeting isn't feasible. I can quickly message someone and get the answers I need. We also create chats between all of our immediate Team members. It is a quick way to disseminate information to my team and avoid taking up time with another meeting. We can load documents to share with the team as well and create our own channels with regards to projects we are working on. And, with much of our division now working remotely, we can have 'face to face' interactions thru video calls.

Cons

This may be a limitation of the way our organization has Teams configured, but I would love the ability to make outgoing calls (to land lines and cell phones) from within Teams. I have my headphones on all day for Teams calls within our organization. It would be beneficial to stay within the Teams platform to make all of my calls.

### "Best for Video Conferencing and Webinar Needs "

January 5, 2022

5.0

Pros

Teams is not only great for 1:1 interactions and team meetings, but it is also a great platform to host large audience webinars.

Cons

The only con that I have is with screen sharing. When you have multiple windows open, or if you have multiple computer monitors, sometimes, I find Teams is not that easy to use in terms of sharing your screen.

### "Best app for online meeting and conferences"

September 6, 2022

5.0

Overall, I am satisfied with the experience on Microsoft teams and it’s the best app that helped me to go through my studies during Covid and remote working.

Pros

I usually prefers to do meetings on Microsoft teams as it’s very easy to understand. It gives option to make a classroom over the teams and divide participants in breakout rooms. The poster and presentations are no longer impossible and can be presented from anywhere. The quality and clarity of sound and video is absolutely perfect and will not disappoint you.

Cons

I sometimes think that Microsoft teams should allow other people from other organisations to connect similarly as it allows to connect within the organisation. I had trouble couple of time when I have to do meeting with people outside of my organisation.

### "Microsoft’s answer to instant messaging"

February 19, 2023

5.0

Pros

Microsoft Teams is a fantastic tool for team collaboration and communication. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy to chat, call, and video conference with colleagues, whether they're in the same office or working remotely. MS teams also integrates with other Microsoft products, such as Outlook and OneDrive, making it a convenient platform to use. Microsoft Teams has become an essential tool for our businesses especially since we have a lot more hybrid and remote working in the workplace.

Cons

It would be nice to have more integrations into MS Teams Outside of Microsoft products

### "Microsoft Teams - - A 2021 Must Have!"

November 17, 2021

5.0

I appreciate real-time communication, and with half the team in London and half in Washington, it puts us virtually together under one roof. We can alter, modify, examine and research all on one screen. We were huge fans before the C19 hit, its just proved how pivotal a robust working environment truly is.

Pros

I am so dependent on this tool, its the golden thread that keeps my team, my customers, and my supply chain linked together. The quality of of sound and visuals has so far surpassed our previous provider where either the picture was blurry or you would have to use your telephone to supplement the sound when the voip just didn't quite deliver, or no sound was transmitted at all. I have yet to discover all the party tricks that Teams can do. I know it makes me feel that we are all working in unison even when there is a five hour disparity among team mates. It also allows me to invite guest users on to my system easily. I have the full Microsoft 365 suite and intend to bump up my subscription to a higher level for added security measures next summer.

Cons

Everyone is still using disparate systems. We left G-Mail to engage with Microsoft 365 specifically to have access to Teams as so many of our partners had it. I did forget to log out of a meeting and the system was inadvertently left open for 24 hours- camera live!!!!! When one of my teammates rejoined the daily scrum meeting the following morning, 25 minutes before the meeting was to commence, I was sitting in front of my computer in rollers and no makeup...we all had a good laugh but it would be nice if the system timed out after a period of inactivity.

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

So we and our subcontractors and prime could work off a similar platform. Its also help to seriously streamline our security posture, we have many more controls on the new system.

### "Skype Review"

June 1, 2024

4.0

Skype has not posed any major issues and is a reliable service for whenever I have online meeting needs. It's a well known brand and people trust it for meeting about both business uses and casual needs like playing games online with friends while keeping a voice chat open without using cell phones.

Pros

It lets any user access remote contact for free and without needing to worry about cell calling limits while providing instant access to powerful tools like streaming your own screen via screen sharing. A game changer for quick day to day meetings in any workplace scenario whether that's an artist to a client showing progress or within a 30 person office for a monthly progress meeting.

Cons

Occasional discconnection issues and needing to share passwords to formal meetings are standard across programs like these, annoying but not limited to Skype by any means.

### "Microsoft teams keeps your team organized"

September 19, 2021

5.0

Overall my experience with Microsoft teams is like any other Microsoft program. I have always been a huge fan of Microsoft and they didn’t disappoint with this program and it definitely has helped her organization stay on top of things and completely organized.

Pros

There are so many pros about this program. The ability to keep everyone connected, video conferencing, screen sharing, recording and so many more features of this program are so helpful in order to keep our organization running up to speed in our COVID-19 days.

Cons

The only thing I’m not sure about so much is that sometimes this isn’t as user-friendly for some people as other programs have been. I don’t know if it’s a user error or not but it’s been OK for me

### "Microsoft Teams is a Vital Communication Tool"

December 10, 2021

5.0

Microsoft Teams is used daily by nearly all of our employees and has become an essential piece of software, allowing us to connect with field employees and remote users. We can hold meetings, hold training sessions, collaborate on projects, share screens and documents. We love having our company's personal directory loaded in the phone book.

Pros

The integration of Microsoft Teams was relatively easy. We sent an email and recorded a brief tutorial on some of the most used features of the software. We implemented before the pandemic and found that it became crucial in our employee communication.

Cons

This software almost makes communication too easy. I find myself preferring users to call through the telephone to our landline office number rather than call me through my computer.

### "Skype has always been the best traditional voice calling app until Microsoft acquired it "

June 29, 2022

5.0

Support wide range of operating systems Linux, Windows, Android, Apple IOS , can work even on smart TVs. It has the possibility to edit or delete chat messages. very good quality voice and video calls even with very low quality internet connection.

Pros

Skype is the best App for voice and video calling, it have been around since forever one of the best stable reliable communication apps. it has very important functions that many other calling and chat apps are missing, like editing messages and it was able to save the history of your chat and shared media forever. until 2011 when Microsoft acquired Skype they seem to have started to messed up things alot they lowered the number of years you can keep your chat history to only 3 years. and feels like they are killing Skype to push for other alternative solution Microsoft Teams, which is now included in Windows 11 as the default communication app.

Cons

it can keep only last 3 year of chat history. Owned by Microsoft which seems to push for other alternative communication Apps like Microsoft Teams.

### "Winning Teams"

October 19, 2021

4.0

We are arranging for meeting across multiple departments and divisions when not everyone is in the office. Work from home is still in play at our institution, but input from key players is crucial for making the right call in a short amount of time.

Pros

The most impactful piece of this software is quickly communicating with members of your group or team. You can see who is available (if they have not forgotten to change their status) and connect from anywhere in the country. It does not have to be video. It can be chat, voice only, or video.

Cons

It is sometimes difficult to get back to a chat when you have to navigate to another part of the program. You can see that someone is trying to reach you, but cannot get back to it.

### "Really nice tool for working remote and collaboration"

July 22, 2021

4.0

Overall I am very happy with this software. It is helping me and my team with our work. People can work from home and have access to everything they need.

Pros

Nice chat function with channels. Webhooks work fine and easy to configure. All apps of microsoft plus extra are integrated. One platform for work, this is nice. Also the conference rooms with break-out rooms are really nice. Very usefull for working remote.

Cons

The software is really heavy for your system. The hardware you have must be powerfull to be usefull. The inside calendar is working fine, but I would like it to be synced with Outlook and give notify when a meeting starts. Also the notify of the activity should be outside the app, now you have to open the app to see the activity.

### "Software de colaboración con gran potencialidad"

November 2, 2022

4.0

### "Invaluable tool for collaboration"

September 7, 2021

5.0

I find Microsoft Teams to be a very useful tool, and the seamless integration with the Microsoft Office suite makes it a joy to use. I would definitely recommend it.

Pros

Teams is a very valuable tool for online meetings, webinars, and instant chat. Its document share capabilities are also useful. Our team has been using Teams since the start of the COVID pandemic when we all started working from home, and have found it to be an essential tool for remote collaboration.

Cons

I find it frustrating that I'm not able to separate the chat functions from the rest of Teams. Ideally I would have liked to run the chat screen to one side so that I wouldn't have to interrupt my workflow when having to respond to a chat. Another downside is that when presenting your screen, one loses the capability to see other meeting-goers, or you can only see one person. This makes presentations challenging as it is hard to get non-verbal feedback from attendees.

### "Microsoft Teams Improves Communication and Helps Build Teams that Enhance Productivity"

December 23, 2021

4.0

I accept we've been utilizing the most recent forms of the arrangement. We use whichever adaptation is pushed out with Office 365. I would suggest the item. It works with everything. I have an iPad Pro, I have an iPhone, I have my PC. It's introduced on each of the three gadgets. It works perfectly. I'd rate the arrangement eight out of ten, basically on the grounds that there are a couple of things the arrangement actually needs to enhance.

Pros

Permits you to set up groups for explicit tasks just as a group for the whole office to keep everybody in touch. A disregarded capacity is the capacity to look through anything inside Microsoft Teams. Any photograph, report, or talk can be looked and found pretty without any problem. I can't perceive you how frequently this has saved me from reworking something or begin once again.

Cons

Video quality was shaky on occasion yet may have been an impression of association speeds more than of the abilities of Teams. Need a more instinctive method for organizing the Calendar work in Teams with outer schedules so you don't need to facilitate between a few distinct schedules.

Alternatives considered

[Zoom Workplace](https://www.capterra.com/p/144037/Zoom-Video-Conferencing/)

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is utilized, for our situation, to team up with every inward worker, to chip away at offering a few recommendations, and to cooperate online on records in Word and Excel. We generally use it to team up on the web and to have video gatherings with clients. We can coordinate SharePoint destinations with others. We have libraries that are accessible inside Teams so that individuals can match up those libraries to their nearby drives and subsequently will have the most exceptional data and archives available to them.

### "Effective for Office Communication and Team Collaboration"

December 16, 2021

4.0

It has enabled us to communicate more effectively within the office. We are able to notify individuals and teams entirely which allows for effective flow throughout the day.

Pros

The software is easy to navigate after a few days of using it. I like how you can structure into teams and the permissions are very easy to toggle. The interface is pretty user friendly. The apps "shifts" allows for a simple scheduling software for the teams.

Cons

The navigation of teams gets some taking used to especially after a transition from Slack. I am not fond of having to start a new thread with every message. I was more of a fan of slacks interface in how you could just start typing a message after being in a channel. I feel like sometimes notifications easily slip through the cracks in teams.

Alternatives considered

### "Experience with Microsoft Teams"

October 3, 2022

5.0

"I've used Microsoft Teams for a while now, and I've found it to be a great helpful tool for my office. Because it's a component of the Microsoft Office suite, my team and I can communicate on numerous devices. The user interface is straightforward to use and connects to many different services. I want to use Teams heavily at work because it will enable cross-functional cooperation. Microsoft Teams is an excellent tool for remote work. A text, voice, and video conference call tool that is cloud-based is used for group communication. The program is usable by small teams and big businesses alike and is accessible on PC and mobile platforms. It offers task management, file sharing, live chat, video calling, and live chat.

Pros

For my day job, I utilize this tool every day. I participate in at least one or two meetings on MS Teams every day. It is excellent for holding conferences and bringing international participants together. Additionally, it works well for one-on-one or group calls. I am a member of numerous teams whose information is hosted on MS Teams. It's wonderful to have a tool this potent.

Cons

We weren't receiving call or text notifications after the last two of upgrades because of flaws that were introduced. The emojis that appear when we select the edit options and hover over the message annoy me. The black ribbon that displays when we share our screen is another thing I don't like; it may be a pain in the neck at times because it won't go away.

I hate this app, we use it at my university, first use of the app is confusing, video recording doesn't last long to re watch, you can't watch videos on your preferred video player, you can't speed up video and many more bad and incomplete features on unsupported platforms
