Pros Microsoft Teams is a great tool for teams and large companies and perfect for setting up conferences with clients from outside the company as they also (almost) always use Teams. Also creating different teams and channels with each their databases, wiki's and more is really convenient. Cons There are so many features in Microsoft Teams that I could replace other software, however I sometimes just don't know that they exist. Pros Microsoft Teams is great for one Team to stay in touch for instance or to conduct daily tasks via this Software. I use it daily to check on the possible next steps for some tickets, to help someone or to ask someone for help when I am not sure on the proper next steps. I also had meetings via it and also some trainings, for which I had option to download the videos, which is very good option. Also during those trainings, which were done via Meeting option, we were able to share our screens and compare our findings, which another great function of Teams. Cons Sometimes all of my Teammates appear as offline, even though we hear seconds ago and my internet was working normally ( for which I am extremely sure, because I have one Software which is extremely sensitive to the quality of the network on which it is being used and it didn't go down when Teams did ). Pros Mobile Access! I work away from the office (on and off throughout the day) and also have multiple facility locations at my company. My role requires me to be available to all of my team members, regardless of what facility they (or I) are at. Mobile access in Teams is a life saver. Cons On a very rare occasion, Teams does not notify me that I've received a message - causing me to discover it the following day. Pros This software is simple, yet powerful to use. My distributed development team and I use this software all day every day without fail. I have a 1-1 chat set up with each of my team members as well as anyone else I work with on a regular basis as well as group chats and teams. I like that you can see when someone is typing (like text messages) and that it's easy to quickly call/video chat someone, share your screen, and get work done even though we are all remote. There's a reason I switched from using several other similar services to this one. Cons It drives me CRAZY that every team has to have a "General" channel. Why can't the default channel be the same as the team name? Or allow us to edit the General name to what it is for? More often than not, we just ignore the general channel and create our own underneath it but it is annoying. And I really wish I could delete chats - hiding them isn't as clean as just deleting chats that are no longer relevant or are with people who have left the company. It's very functional and sturdy. Ideal for schools, colleges and universities. It has many functions within the app which are quite handy and important when communicating remotely. You did a good job Microsoft for coming up with this solid and sound app. You deserve a pat on the back accompanied by five big stars !! Pros I have to say that over the past 5 years I've noticed a significant improvement in how Microsoft delivers product. Teams is a good example of this. The software is excellent right out of the gate on Android. However given the pandemic Microsoft has really stepped up to the plate releasing features that really improve the work from home experience. Teams is a great product on all their platforms. December 23, 2021 5.0 Microsoft Teams allows my colleagues and me to be connected and updated about meetings and other events in our company 24/7. I do not have to use multiple software to achieve that since I have everything in Microsoft Teams. Pros Microsoft Teams offer high-quality video and audio for online meetings. The best among other similar software in my opinion. Integration is working great with other Office software, especially with Outlook and OneDrive. For example, you can create new Teams meetings through an Outlook calendar, and it synchronizes with Teams. There are a lot of additional settings, such as backgrounds during video calls or different color themes for application which are good options to have. Cons Sometimes I wouldn't receive notifications for new messages. It doesn't occur often, but it sometimes does. You can set to receive an email to notify you about activity in Teams, and the problem is solved. Pros 1\. Our organization switched from Skype to Microsoft Teams. Compared to Skype, Microsoft Teams' user interface is more friendly. You can easily find the functions you need during a call. Therefore, you can quickly share one of the screens (if you are using extended screens) or one of the windows you open. 2. I like the recording function in Microsoft Teams. If you forgot to turn on the recording at the beginning of the meeting, you can turn on the recording later and the entire meeting will be recorded (even the part before you turned on the recording will be included). 3. Scheduling an online meeting is easy when you use Outlook with Microsoft Teams. When you start a meeting invite in Outlook, Microsoft Teams automatically generates a link for all the participants and the link will be included in the schedule of the Outlook app. 4. You can also install Microsoft Teams app on your iPhone so you can access the meeting anywhere. Cons Sometimes it is not so smooth when you want to switch to a different tab on the left side of the app's interface. Also, it is not smooth to switch to the dialogue window of a different team member. I guess there are still bugs needed to be fixed in order to make the navigation of Microsoft Teams more smooth. Cons When it comes to organizing larger events, conferences, user experience is not as good as Zoom (although this is not its main purpose, I understand).
