### "Perfect tool for team collaboration"

July 5, 2021

5.0

Teams app helps us work remotely and avoid most obstacles that we were experienced when we manage the remote team members. Teams can be installed on all most all the platforms iOS, Windows, macOS, etc.

Pros

This is a nice tool for any team that has members who work in different parts of the world. Team chats, audio/video meetings, file sharing, voice mail features actually help to collaborate with the team members.

Cons

On Windows machines, it is very slow sometimes when you share your screen. Also when you compare the macOS version and Windows version macOS version is pretty fast. I have never experienced any slowness on macOS.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

Compatible with existing tools and platforms which are mostly Microsoft-related.

### "Review of Microsoft Teams"

October 11, 2021

4.0

Works well within our systems, no struggles to look for anything, excellent integration and all meetings are clear/ audible with no delays or interruptions. Overall simply put a great product to make use of, period.

Pros

So many things, but what I can say is that it has made everything simpler since we only now make use of this one product instead of using multiple platforms to communicate from. Security was also a big factor and it is very cost-effective

Cons

I have yet to find a con from this software used with this product because it is such a great product especially for working remotely

### "Microsoft Teams for software development"

November 23, 2021

4.0

Overall, it's been a very good experience. It's not as fluid as slack, but has many features that can make up for it

Pros

\- teams creation. Very good if you have a tribe-oriented approach towards your developers - calls are flawless, and it even lets you connect from multiple devices - calls can be recorded with ease. Very good when you want to have a backup of that meeting in which something critical was discussed - direct access to your calendar, and you can even create meetings based on others agendas

Cons

\- the app has its bugs in Android. In Linux, the desktop app consumes a significant amount of resources - recorded meetings can't be accessed if someone leaves the company

### "The integration with the Office 365 suite is a great advantage"

May 22, 2020

4.0

My team was using Microsoft Teams before we had to switch to remote work due to the current situation (we already had a flexible remote work policy so it was not uncommon for team members to attend meetings remotely). We are using it as an internal collaboration/communication tool to conduct meetings, share our screen and have informal conversations to ask a quick question or resolve an issue. We also use it as a communication tool with clients: we ask questions to stakeholders and share documents with our clients via Teams and our clients have adopted it seamlessly.

Pros

Document management: Teams leverages the features of SharePoint for document management and allows to modify Office documents in real-time with multiple collaborators. Easy definition of access rights to content/teams: Access rights can be defined at the team and at the channel level which allows to give access to Teams to clients while having separate areas within the team for internal conversation (which reduces the clutter for clients who would otherwise receive notifications for irrelevant conversations) Multiple forms of communication: Teams allows to communicate via direct chat with another team member, within a channel, create group conversations and via conference calls. Conference calls/webcast: High-quality webcast/videoconferencing with the ability to record a meeting and have this meeting saved to Microsoft Stream Outlook integration: Ability to schedule Teams meetings from Outlook and vice versa

Cons

Access to meeting notes: when meeting notes are created during a meeting, they are associated directly to the meeting instead of being associated to the team. Having the option to take notes from a meeting that are added to a notebook shared by the team would allow to easily refer to these notes after the meeting (instead of having to look for the meeting to access the notes). Notifications disabled by default: When part of multiple channels, it's easy to forget to enable notifications for each one. Conversations where the user or the entire channel is mentioned can go unnoticed. The functionality that allows to toggle between Microsoft Teams organizations when you are part of multiple often causes errors that require to restart Teams.

### "Simple program with a lot of uses"

March 21, 2022

5.0

Love it so far. I used it at my previous employer also and have never had any issues. Would definitely recommend to others.

Pros

Love how easy it is to start chats or calls with coworkers. It's also nice having a record of different groups to easily conference call multiple people

Cons

I wish there was some sort of document management feature (maybe there is and I'm just not aware). We often drop files to other team members via the chat function, but then there's not really a place to store files within Teams.

### "Microsoft Teams review"

December 1, 2021

5.0

I really love using Microsoft Teams, it improves communication in my team and helps everyone stays tuned, following the progress of our work daily and updating it as we develop the project. The ability to make it confidential in groups members facilitates the all process of Project management.

Pros

The software is really user friendly, with chat box ability inside your company and possibility to include important clients and suppliers, free call to everywhere in the world, ability to use it on mobile phone, allowing not missing any meeting either you are at home due to COVID-9 restrictions or on trip. Also, the recording capacity makes it possible to attend missed meetings. You can as well check when everyone is available or in a meeting making it easy to contact everyone at the best time possible without disturbing. Also the sharing folder possibility easy the working in group possibility.

Cons

Search features needs some improvement to find easily what you are looking for. Adding someone outside your organisation is a bit complicated. Sync of mobile app and desktop could improve as well

### "Microsoft Team's facilitation of collaboration and meetings"

February 20, 2023

5.0

As mentioned, it is an excellent tool for collaboration and communication in small and large meetings. It works well for information sharing and presentations, and it has a wonderful storage facility.Microsoft Teams is protected because it restricts us from screenshotting any of the chats. Also, we can link it to our personal phones so that even when using smartphones, we may remain connected.

Pros

Real-time status updates from Microsoft Teams for other users, instant changes to "online," "away," and "busy."There are many options available for organizers, such as breakout rooms.Group Communication and Information Sharing

Cons

Few channels are permitted for each team. For improved productivity, the number of channels could be raised.Need a strong internet connection. There should be more background selections included.

Switched from

[Zoom Workplace](https://www.capterra.com/p/144037/Zoom-Video-Conferencing/)

Teams' free plan allows for longer group meetings with a maximum time limit of 60 minutes as opposed to Zoom's 40. Also, Teams makes calling any colleague, or even your entire squad, quite simple.

### "Usefull tool with a lot of bugs and performance issues."

September 19, 2023

3.0

It works great when it works. Which is most of the time, but there are days that you can not use it because of the bugs.

Pros

It is cheap, easy to use and a multifunctional tool for sharing and quick collaboration

Cons

It is very buggy. It often crashes, images work sometimes and sometimes they just send a placeholder instead of the image.

### "Quality is better than quantity, but Microsoft Teams still needs to learn that"

May 20, 2021

3.0

I honestly wish my organization would choose a better software suite for remote classes. Teams might do everything that is needed, but it does most of that quite poorly.

Pros

The best thing about Teams is that it has a ton of features and it is easy to use it as the sole platform for online classes. It is possible to schedule classes, chat privately with students or groups of students and create assignments that can be posted by students on Teams itself. Even though each single feature has a much better software that does that, having all of that in a single package is what makes Teams useful and relevant.

Cons

Despite having a great package with tons of interesting features, their individual quality pales in comparison to other software that focuses on that specific functionality. Let's just talk about what is supposed to be its main feature: video conferences. Teams is the only video conference platform I've seen that does not provide the user any sort of feedback on his voice. You always have to ask people if you're being heard because there's no visual cue from Teams that your voice is going through. Most platforms do that with a simple highlight of your picture or name, but Teams does not do that. Screen sharing works well only with a very small number of people in a room, otherwise, the framerate drops considerably. It's just impossible to show gifs or videos in a presentation that is held in Teams, which is not the case with many other conference platforms. Besides all that, connection issues are quite common in Teams and I've had classes being cancelled due to connectiviy issues.

### "Mature, effective, empowering: a collaboration hub for teamwork"

January 4, 2021

5.0

We began using Teams several years ago, and do not have full adoption in the organization. On some project teams, though, the app has become an essential collaboration platform and I would regret returning to email for this work. That's not to say that we have ditched email; far from it. Both types of communication have their strengths.

Pros

Since we began implementing Teams, I particularly have appreciated the effort the developers have invested in making notifications manageable. My favorite uses for this are one-on-one chats with colleagues and team conversations around an issue or document. Being able to link in a SharePoint file rather than creating a new copy of it is an essential feature that makes this work. I find the interface more pleasant and understandable than that of Stack, even though the latter is a more efficient layout.

Cons

Teams is apparently envisioned as the one place where work can happen, combing communication, file editing, and file management features. (Plus lots of other apps that have Teams extensions.) In reality, Teams is not nearly as fast or as efficient as using the Windows Explorer and desktop apps for managing and creating files. The integration with Planner is less powerful than I wish, but I believe that's due more to Planner's technology than Teams'.

### "Excellent Video Conferencing Application"

June 7, 2021

5.0

This application is what I use for team meetings. The quality of its voice calls was the key factor that drew me in. People who are thousands of kilometers distant can sound so clear. It also retains our conversation history, which is useful because I am prone to forgetting stuff. When used in a stable setting, it performs admirably, however it occasionally slows down the system

Pros

1\. It's simple to use and to set up future meetings. 2. Anyone in the meeting, not just the meeting organizer, can take control and exchange content. 3. The options for what content to show or which screen to share are clearly marked and simple to use. 4. It's straightforward to join an existing meeting, and I like the alerts that let you know if someone started the meeting early.

Cons

1\. Microsoft Teams requires robust internet access; sessions will be disrupted if the connection is weak or non-existent, which is not the case with alternative meeting tools. 2. When there are a lot of assignment submissions, data storage becomes a problem. 3. I had multiple instances of the system crashing.

### "Microsoft Teams - A great connector for In Person, Hybrid, and Remote Work"

December 1, 2021

4.0

Overall, this is still a great tool for teams who need to stay in contact with each other. It promotes cohesion.

Pros

There is so much I love about this tool! I love the ability to quickly bring in my team together on a cat message or a call. I LOVE the integration with Microsoft Office - that is a critical feature, as we have moved to remote, the ability to connect and create meetings has become essential. I also love the end user customization.

Cons

My least favorite thing is that is uses so much RAM and consumes, what I feel to be, an enormous amount of my PC's resources, which ends up in some lag issues.

### "MS Teams works great!"

September 8, 2021

5.0

Pros

I particularly like its integration with other apps. I connect it with Atlassian, I also have the planner feature which helps me stay focused and organized on my personal tasks, by having my big tasks in small chunks, I finish quickly. It definitely does help me achieve my daily goals.

Cons

No annotation during a screen share, that's a huge disappointment. Every other meeting app has it!

### "Microsoft Teams: Collaboration across town and across the country"

August 30, 2021

5.0

Overall I have enjoyed using Teams. I'm glad we can all still collaborate effectively through this platform, and now that we've hired some people who do not live in town, we can easily continue to loop them into conversations when we're back in the office.

Pros

I like that I can easily see my co-workers, chat when we don't need to hear each others' voices, can offer praise for work well done, can create private groups for certain team members, can add emojis and gifs for some added flair, and can create polls and other creative add ons.

Cons

Sometimes the video will drag, but that's mostly an affect of poor internet instead of an issue with Teams.

### "Microsoft teams- Great tool for web collaboration and online conferencing"

October 12, 2021

5.0

It is furnished with the most exceptional abilities for leading gatherings and sharing information and business related documents. It is less reasonable when the association is limited. In any case, it is the best equivalent apparatus on the market. It satisfies my rules in general, and I would prescribe it to others. My exhortation is to offer Microsoft Teams the chance to demonstrate its worth, I have been a client for several years at this point, and I suggest it as a substitute for meets, zoom, and some other conferencing or texting device.

Pros

Microsoft teams is the suite for brought together correspondence presented by Microsoft and has been carried out inside the association, there are many provisions that this device has to support the association as its capacity to make and timetable gatherings, among numerous others, however perhaps the main feature is that it permits the advancement of fundamental business errands and cycles, coordinating applications and work processes in a significantly more spry manner, all under a climate of security and network safety, conforming to the most elevated levels that manage the business, Teams likewise permits correspondence through texting being conceivable from texting to interface with a call which smoothes out the association between the distinctive correspondence options accessible to Teams.

Cons

It quits working once in a while when we open the framework following a couple of hours. Thus, we need to restart the framework to make it work. I trust Microsoft will settle this issue very soon for their clients.

### "Best communication software for businesses"

March 31, 2021

4.0

This is our go to application at work. We use it for all our internal meetings and almost all collaborative projects. We absolutely love it.

Pros

Teams as I call it is the best meeting software that I have used till date. It has been now a part of life attending daily meetings, working on collaborative projects, scheduling trainings and all of these are possible using it. The best feature of Microsoft Teams is got to be its simple UI that allows working on shared files at ease. The ability to have multiple discussion channels each with a different set of people is something I love.

Cons

One common flaw of Microsoft Teams is that it is organization specific so whenever we try to have a call with clients from a different organization, it is not possible through teams unless they have access to the organization. In this case we have to use a different meeting software. And another common flaw with its User Interface is whenever I try to go back from a internal teams sub folder, it directly takes me back to the root folder without taking me to the recent folder. This issue is something that happens with many people and if it could be solved, life would be easier.

### "Great tool for business collaboration"

June 15, 2021

5.0

Overall, it has been a great experience. It was a lifesaver during the pandemic to get back to some sense of normalcy at my job.

Pros

Teams has been a lifesaver while working from home. It was a seamless transition during the pandemic to continue to stay connected to my team. It's easy to keep all your files and chats in one place and it's a great tool to collaborate on documents with team members. There are extra features built in for note taking, brainstorming, filesharing, etc.

Cons

Integration with existing infrastructure was extremely easy. The only negative experience I've had is that you can't separate all your chats out into a new window - if you receive an instant message while you're working on a document, you lose your place in the document and you have to re-navigate through the folders to get back to your document.

### "MS Teams Ease of Use"

September 18, 2023

5.0

Face-to-face meetings are more productive, especially with the ease of screen sharing so that everyone is on the same page, especially when trying to work out issues.

Pros

Teams is easy to use for person-to-person meetings and group meetings alike. When multiple people join, it automatically adjusts the video to display all participants. When you need to schedule a meeting through Outlook, it automatically adds the unique scheduled meeting. Screen-sharing is as simple as clicking the icon and selecting which screen or application you want to share.

Cons

That we didn't start using Teams sooner. We initially started using another application for video conferencing and screen sharing. We started using Teams more prominently in the Spring of 2020.

### "MS Teams is a good solution for collaboration "

June 3, 2021

Teams is a user-friendly tool, that enables collaborative work. Overall a good option of communication tool, specially if your company already uses Office 365.

Pros

Teams is completely integrated with all the other tools in MS office 365. Sharing files with your team and creating collaborative files is extremely easy. Other than that, it is a great communication tool.

Cons

You may experience some lagging during the calls if you have low bandwidth, specially if you try a video call. Other than that, the "request control" function is in need of a big improvement.

### "“MS TEAMS: The Best Communication Tool for Call Centers”"

February 20, 2023

5.0

If you’re that person who always wants to be connected with people anytime and anywhere online. Then this is a perfect tool for you! Stay connected at all times!!

Pros

Microsoft Teams helped us a lot and saved us during the pandemic in communicating with my fellow workers. You will never be left behind with this tool as it will help you stay connected with your family or loveones anytime&anywhere. This tool is the best alternative if you can’t buy the premium access for ZOOM! They almost have the same features and it’s user friendly!

Cons

The only thing that I don’t like which rarely happens is it’s “video meeting/recording” feature. It really requires high data connection as laggy and crashing sometimes.
