### "Microsoft Tes review"

February 20, 2023

5.0

Pros

Teams is helpful in performing everyday office tasks and communicating with team members. It's easy to use when it comes to chatting, forming a group, screen sharing, video calling and other helpful tools like SharePoint. You can also form different groups dedicated to a specific project that helps in keeping the track of work.Everyone at my organization uses Teams as a primary source of communication and it has proven quite effective until now.

Cons

There are few things that I wish Teams could improve on. It difficult to search at times if you send screen shot in File section. It only covers docs and photographs uploaded from laptop. Also it requires strong internet connection otherwise there are frequent call drops.

### "MS Teams for work"

June 17, 2021

5.0

This application was used every day and enabled users from different locations to communicate and work seamlessly

Pros

The software allowed users in different locations an easy way to communicate, share screens. Training, demonstrations and support was made easier

Cons

Having to log into this product everyday was sometimes inconvenient as not everyone on the team had logged in every day. At times the images could freeze on your screen

### "The best chat and work collaboration that work seameslly with "

July 1, 2021

5.0

It is the best chat/conferencing tool I have worked with and is very easy to understand, no complex channels and hashtags as other chat apps and easier for the non technical people like mi self. All the work I do on the app works with all other Microsoft office products like excel, word and sharepoint! I love How it seems that the app can do it all, from file sharing to ask for help from my coworkers with screen sharing and even remote control without needing any other app!! Microsoft has matured this app to its best!!

Pros

I love how it makes my remote work from home very easy, I can rely on this one tool to have all my conferences, team meetings, team planning and file sharing in one place! And if not enough it integrates with the sharepoint directories we have on our company, chat and file sharing in one place!

Cons

Not much to dislike, sometimes the conference calls end abruptly without notice but I have seen that most of the times my VPN was the culprit. I would like some more video effects for video calls like extra background, etc.

### "Teams, the name says it all!"

October 21, 2021

5.0

I enjoy it and have pioneered some uses of the platform for onboarding and for project and goal management in my organization, which has been successful and is being adopted further out and up the food chain. I want to learn more about using data and power flow and other apps for daily work, so I look forward to a growing end user tutorials and a full learning center! Templates for routine tasks and etc would be amazing, esp. for Planner and To Do apps!

Pros

No Code development and collaboration functionality and the fast moving development of features and help/ tutorials and forums for end users.

Cons

Lacking in some key features, but they are coming down the pipeline, I assume. Lack of end user manuals and development guides, they are also likely to appear any time.

### "Excellent software. I always recommend this for team collaboration. "

November 9, 2021

5.0

Overall, this program has hugely benefitted our office in terms of collaboration.

Pros

Our office just started using this software in 2020, and our team has largely adapted to using it for collaboration and meetings. The best feature about this program is the chat feature- where you have the ability to chat with anyone in your office network. It certainly is nice to use this instead of writing emails for some tasks!

Cons

I wish that there were better project management tools in this program.

### "Best meeting software"

June 3, 2021

5.0

Overally, I love how Microsoft Teams has made virtual meetings easy to access. It is simple and does not require technical knowledge to be used.

Pros

I love so many features on microsoft teams. The first feature is the screen sharing which allows presenters to involve the participants in discussions. The live chat is also a good feature that allows participants to share views without interrupting sessions

Cons

What i like least is that you need very stable data network to be able to use Teams effectively. Areas with poor telecommunication networks have very shaky videos and also need a lot of data to be able to use it. The sign up process is also quite tedious.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

Zoom had a lower limit on number of participants allowed in the meeting at the time.

Overall its been good experience much better in comparison earlier market tools, so it is a very highly recommended software going forward as well.

Pros

We really like the chat functionalities, file sharing options, the video conferencing options, these features help us a lot in our day to day tasks.

Cons

Nothing much to dislike currently except the occasional lags which we experience but hopeful it will be fixed in upcoming patches.

### "Easiest collaboration platform by Microsoft"

January 14, 2022

5.0

It's the second-best way of communicating with teammates. We use it for all the collaboration activities since it is easier to keep track of communication with others.

Pros

The bucket of features that are part of the Microsoft team environment. You can create workgroups, share files, create task lists, schedule and attend meetings.

Cons

It takes a lot of RAM while running. computer speed slows down quite a bit when the program is open.

### "Microsoft Teams for Macs"

December 14, 2021

4.0

This helps our team have meetings, create applications and communicate effectively with each other.

Pros

I like the features that come with the software. It is easy to set up and get going. You can integrate all sorts of apps like the Power Platform into teams which makes it very powerful.

Cons

It takes a bit getting used to coming from other software like Slack. It took time to get my screen share working and figuring out where recordings are stored. I wish I could get my google calendar to sync.

### "Microsoft Teams, it's a game changer"

June 18, 2021

4.0

During COVID it was an easy way to touch base with colleagues and it is always such a quick and easy way to share information with each other. I have not had any issues with the product and would highly reccomend this to anyone that wants an easy way to stay in contact with their teams in a professional space.

Pros

By being able to add several different teams to your app you can access small or larger groups and share relevant information to them in a variety of different ways. It's so easy to log into share with them some amazing work you've done, or even just check in with everyone through video conferencing, chat or just posting on the 'wall' If you can navigate around most social media platforms, then with the ease of teams you will find this product an easy way to share information in a professional space

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about this product. In the capacity that I need to use it, it works as I would need and expect.

### "One of the best tools to help working remotely and securely!"

April 7, 2022

5.0

It's great software helping everyone to collaborate and work together easily and we've benefited from it massively. Life would be difficult without awesome software like Microsoft Teams.

Pros

It's very easy to set up and use and that's very important as you wouldn't have enough time to go through a lot of configurations and hassles to set up a meeting in this busy working life. The audio and video quality is just amazing and the features the software provides are always far ahead compared to other alternatives. Microsoft Teams is available on all major operating systems and being cross-platform helps to be available everywhere, in the office or on the go! I love the fact that it notifies you if someone has already started the meeting. It always helps me to not forget about them!

Cons

The only issue I have is that the Linux version of Microsoft Teams is not up to date with its Windows counterpart which is a shame as my main operating system is Linux and it'd be great to be able to enjoy it at its full capacity everywhere.

### "This is the new way of virtual conferences "

July 3, 2021

4.0

I been using Microsoft Teams quite a while now and i can definitely say that’s it’s one of the best options you can have nowadays as for virtual reunions or meetings, its overall features are easy to use and anyone can handle it.

Pros

I like that it’s very precise, it does the job and also you can enable different features that you can use suches documents, live chat, share your screen and more, Microsoft Teams it’s likely to become one of the most important ways to communicate virtually for a press conference, take classes or virtual reunions for any kind of meeting.

Cons

What i didn’t like and it’s more of a disadvantage and every other app also can relate, it’s the connection, there are sometimes that our internet signal is very weak but at least it's still a good amount of signal but Microsoft teams needs a strong internet signal in order to preform meetings and every other available feature.

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams it’s what i use nowadays to communicate with my classmates and teachers.

### "Microsoft Teams for remote meetings & Support"

August 9, 2021

5.0

It was overall a good experience with Microsoft teams as it provides a bundle of features in a single product. It is cost-effective & also provides easy installation options.

Pros

We are using Microsoft Teams for remote video conferencing meetings & also for providing remote IT Support to our users. It provides screen sharing options & chat features that make it easy to use during support Calls. Microsoft Teams is easy to install & configure & the User-interface is pretty user-friendly.

Cons

As far as we are using Microsoft teams the only issue we face sometimes is the voice-breakage issue.

### "Easy to use, well integrated, could do with some additional features and options"

November 10, 2020

4.0

Like a million other people we have had to move to online meetings and transactions due to the Pandemic. There are other tools, and some of them are probably better for the video meetings aspect, but only Team has that integrated approach, especially with O365 etc. so overall the experience has certainly been positive. I have also found it to be very reliable, with almost no technical issues.

Pros

The biggest strength, by far, is the integration with other Microsoft applications, and in particular messaging and Sharepoint. Whilst the video function is probably the part I use the most, I especially like the fact we can work together, share files and chat all in one place.

Cons

The interface is a little too basic, but my biggest gripe is the lack of customisation, especially on simple things like video. For example, why can't I move the video windows around? Why can't I enlarge one, and reduce another? If you look the competitors, they all offer a bit more of a customised user interface. My second grumble is the disconnect between a team, a chat, and video call....why can they not be combined?

### "Unusable for online classes: link often absent, and extremely slow (re)authentification"

February 28, 2024

1.0

I had to use it as a student for online classes (I was already an engineer, and needed classes for a visa). Entering online classes was always an issue, causing me to be regularly marked late although I was in advance: missing links, very slow authentification and useless reconfirmations of account. Bad error management too (ex: chat window often completely empty during all the meeting with a slow wifi).

Pros

I didn't see anything valuable in it: it's a very average product. I only used it because university forced me to use it.

Cons

Entering meetings almost never worked smoothly, causing me to be regularly marked late (>10 mn) although I was usually in advance: notifications rarely worked, the connection link often didn't appear. I often had to loggoff and login to make it appear, which is super SLOW and usually requires to reconfirm email and phone.

### "One-stop shop Video Conferencing Platform"

May 25, 2021

4.0

Using Microsoft Teams has been an amazing experience. With having less memory and energy as an active process, it is good to use MS Teams as one of your main applications for work/school. It has all the needed features to utilize and maximize the video conferencing and user storage aspects for your tasks and meetings.

Pros

This is one of the best video conferencing platforms out there. Not only can you communicate with people through video but the storage and organization aspect definitely enhances the experience of a session. Suitable not only for students/young users but also for administrators who would want to organize their work and share their files and documents. The capability of adding on bots or more features brings it to a whole new level as well. The chat feature accesses all people registered within the organization. By typing the name, you get to message and communicate with said person. The level of access has also been proven useful.

Cons

I do find some notification settings hard to control when you are part of multiple channels. I do not get to fully utilize the assignment aspect of the Microsoft Teams. The video features on it may do a bit more improvement. My camera quality seems a bit lower here compared to other platforms. The presentation feature seems to be in need of improvement. It hards to view both the application and the presentation at the same time which makes it difficult to present at the same time.

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

With someone using Microsoft already and as it is tied up with the other applications, you don't need to look any further when in need of a video conferencing platform and a hub for all your organization's needs.

### "Teams: Best overall functionality and pricing"

November 23, 2021

4.0

Overall its a great application with tons of connectivity and usefulness but it still could use a good amount of improvement.

Pros

Since Teams is part of the Microsoft Suite it comes with all of the functionality of other Microsoft programs. Users can host meetings, provide call-in numbers, set groups, and subgroups where you can store files. Teams opens files inside Teams or on the app needed to read that file. It also reduces the number of emails by use of chat and makes tracking files for programs easy by allowing efficient ways to keep everything in one place.

Cons

At times Teams user interface is difficult to use and you're left searching for the button to perform a certain standard action while on a meeting. Sharing files is a little confusing but something you get used to. Also in subgroups it defaults to "Posts" but it would be more convenient to default to "Files"

Switched from

### "Best Collaboration Tool for Your Team"

March 1, 2020

5.0

Overall, I think this far surpasses Microsoft's previous tool, Skype for Business, and has brought a new level of collaboration to Microsoft. I appreciate the attention to detail that Microsoft has put into this product and feel it would be a wonderful product for teams of all sizes.

Pros

As a tax manager in public accounting, my team is virtual, mobile and ever changing. With MS Teams I am able to create virtual team channel where we can collaborate, keep files and track assignments. My very favorite feature of this software is the ability to put documents into my team channel and then work on them at the same time as my team members. For example, I can upload an excel workbook with a clients tax return workpapers and then each person on my team can be in the file working on this at the same time. This is a HUGE game changer.

Cons

All things considered, I don't have a lot of criticism about this software except for one feature. In teams, the notification options are a bit limited. For example, when I receive a message from a coworker I have two options: 1) I can get a banner notification in the bottom right of my screen that will show the name of the sender and a few lines of the message or 2) no notification at all. What I think is missing here is the ability to have a banner pop up in the bottom corner that just shows that you have a new message. My reason for this is because I am often sharing my screen or have people who can see my screen - I want to be sure that confidential information is not displayed or that a more private message is not sitting in the corner of my screen for anyone to see.

### "Microsoft Teams is the best meetings app"

August 27, 2021

5.0

My full experience with the program is good and all my teachers use it for online learning.

Pros

Teams allows joining through a specific URL or invitation sent by the team admin or owner. Teams Education allows supervisors and teachers to set up specific teams for classes, professional learning communities, and faculty.

Cons

If you're trying to create a new team in your company's Microsoft Teams account, but haven't been able to do so, you should check with your company's support department for more help, as the app gives businesses and organizations the option not to allow people to create new groups or teams.

### "Comprehensive Tool for Collaborating "

September 22, 2020

5.0

Overall, I've enjoyed the overall simplicity of Teams and how I require less tools to work now. My gripes with the software are minor compared to the benefits I've seen from using the program.

Pros

Microsoft Teams is a comprehensive collaboration tool offering video conferencing, group chats, webinars, file sharing, and a calendar. Teams has cut down on the different programs required to collaborate effectively; no more emailing files on one platform and texting or video calling on another. On top of offering many different features, Teams is also cross platform, and I frequently use both the desktop, web, and Android versions which all seamlessly integrate with one another. Teams also integrates easily with outlook, with the calendars of both syncing to easily to show what's on schedule. Live events are also a good experience, with the live feed being clear and an easy interface for asking questions or rewinding the live feed. VODs are also available as soon as the live feed concludes and is processed, so long as recording was enabled.

Cons

As far as I can tell, there is no option to configure who's video feed is shown on screen, or how many video feeds can be shown at a time. This makes conferencing lag behind some of Team's competitors Navigation can be somewhat convoluted, especially in regards to where to find video conferences. I've ran into some issues with a video not showing up on my calendar, and I would need to find what chat it's linked to to join from there, or vice versa. On top of that, having tabs specifically for groups, chats (which also have groups within them), and files can make it confusing to go back to find chats or files.
