### "Microsoft Teams for work from everything "

April 26, 2021

5.0

If you are plan to purchase Office 365, please don't avoid this free add-on, and it's worth using for best collaboration with colleagues & flawless communication. The integration with all built-in Microsoft is really helpful. Kudos to Microsoft:

Pros

I'm a huge fan of Microsoft products and there is no exception with Microsoft Teams. I got a free subscription with my academic ID and I enjoyed every feature. Microsoft Teams doing well with both video conferencing & collaboration. Since the pandemic started, most of my academic activities are online-based and with MS Teams nothing hard to overcome all these academic activities. The caller ID interface without unnecessary icons is one major reason for choosing MS Teams. We can ensure regular security updated at least five more years because of its parent company. The integration with Outlook calendar and Office 365 apps is really helpful for our day-to-day activity. The availability of mobile platforms also a major advantage of this cool application.

Cons

The nature of this IOS application not compatible with slow internet connections will be a major challenge for developing countries like us. And the mobile application needs more optimization for smooth running and actually, it needs more real-time functions to compete with market available alternatives.

### "Great enterprise chat, file sharing and conference all in one software."

May 6, 2021

4.0

Using Teams feels very natural and integrated with all our other Microsoft products. I has all the features we need to communicate withing the company and even more, chat features like Gifs, Emojis and adding code blocks (for example) are great features being improved and enriched constantly.

Pros

Its pretty nice to see how Teams have evolved so much, I love the integration with all other Microsoft products like Sharepoint and PowerBI. This way it's pretty natural to share files and locations, and now it's even great to be able to share PowerBI reports withing Teams. The conferencing or video calls are top notch, the calls are stable and of good quality.

Cons

Some times the user interface gets on the way, since Teams has many features, some of the options get in the way or shrink the available space for other thing like on a conference call: the chat panel can remove space from the content being shared, and even if its closed the avatars of the participants is too big to be comfortable to see the content being shared. All and all is a great product, not much thing I could thing about improving. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes it takes a lot of ram memory to run the process and when there are many things going on the chats and groups the Ram usage could raise to 1GB... But it subsides when restarted.

### "Very simple Teams App Review"

August 28, 2021

4.0

It’s user friendly and convenient. It’s all in one platform that solves a lot of issues like working on line you can easily manage, share and collaborate with your team remotely this one is a winner I cannot think of any app that does it all in one keep improving.

Pros

Teams syncs to your calendar from Outlook, so you don't have to open a second app if you need to check your schedule. The fact that it integrates with Sharepoint and One note provides an easy flow of work.

Cons

When everyone else is on Teams, it gets harder to keep track of important messages , in my opinion you need to improve on the message or conversation categorisation like sorting and saving buttons.

### "Microsoft Teams"

November 23, 2021

4.0

The overall business use for Teams is that if you need a messaging and meeting and conferencing tool for your team this is a great product. It assisted us greatly during remote working to ensure we could reach and talk to colleagues quickly and easily.

Pros

The feature that I found best when using Microsoft Teams was the team meeting function, and the way that it integrates with Outlook calendar, and the ease of use for team meetings - especially the scheduling assistant providing an overview of who is available when.

Cons

The feature I like the least is the difficulty when trying to video meetings and that if you don't download the recording immediately after then it doesn't allow you to and also the audio after recording is not great. I am also not a big fan of how hard it is to share your screen when you have multiple screens.

### "An intuitive communication tool for coordinating teamwork. "

March 31, 2021

5.0

I used Teams as a requirement by my employer. Overall, it was relatively easy to use. We were able to share documents quickly and discuss content, make necessary edits and updates. Security reviews generally consider MS Teams as far more secure than Zoom. Teams offers end-to-end encryption while Zoom has faced considerable controversy about routing through servers in mainland China. The security of MS Teams appears to be at the forefront. MS Teams worked well for ensuring that our distributed team remained in close contact. The platform was stable and reliable.

Pros

\- The interface is simple and intuitive and does not overwhelm the user with a plethora of features. - The instant messaging and video chat features allowed me to stay in contact with colleagues and feel as though they were just down the hall, when in fact we are located across the country. - Teams makes it easy to start a call, invite others to join, and run larger scheduled meetings. - The software allowed our team to stay connected, offer feedback and support on various projects, brainstorm. We were located across the country, but MS Team video conference and chat tools helped us feel like were were all in the same office. - Teams is well-integrated with MS Office, a feature that made it easier to share documents and work. - The security of Teams is well-regarded.

Cons

The user interface has been updated several times which I found somewhat disorienting at first. Teams is well integrated into the Microsoft software system that we use for work, but when I'm at home, I'm not able to use a personal account easily on my home computer as Teams does not integrate with LibreOffice or Thunderbird. Updates to the user interface often changed the location of features and caused some confusion. It is too closely linked to proprietary software and does not allow for integration of open source software like LibreOffice or Thunderbird.

### "Microsoft Teams is the ruler among all products."

January 24, 2022

4.0

My overall experience is really good, I get what I wanted. Till now I haven't faced any major issues while using the software. Though I still request you to take feedback from your customers on a daily basis to increase your productivity.

Pros

Expanded Focus on Work. Implementation of Works becomes easy. Including Project management features in teams is super cool.

Cons

Storage Management. Including everything in one software make the software a little less responsive sometimes.

Reason for choosing Microsoft Teams

It was a true all-rounder. There are competitors, but provide very little as compared to Microsoft Team with great pricing.

### "Improving Communication for Our Remote Team"

September 11, 2018

4.0

Our small consulting group was previously using Skype (the regular kind), which had some good functionality but was not ideal for business use. Management decided to upgrade to Microsoft products, including Teams. Teams has helped us improve our internal communication and be more responsive to each other and clients. It was quick and intuitive to learn. We can easily chat in private or group conversations. I may be chatting with someone and find that we need to add someone to the conversation, and it's as easy as clicking the plus button. We can share files and even edit them inline, although I don't like that function as well as editing directly in the desktop programs. Our Skype group chat used to fill up with chit chat sometimes, which wasn't inappropriate but it wasn't the right place to have those discussions. We now have a "watercooler" channel where we can post hellos and share things for fun, which is much better. Other channels also keep discussions focused on different clients or topics. You can integrate some other Microsoft apps as well, although I haven't needed to do that. However, the wiki function has come in handy for capturing knowledge. Overall it's been a positive experience for our organization to use Teams.

Pros

It's easy to communicate with remote team members across the country. Conversations can be in any size group, or you can create channels dedicated to certain topics. I especially like how easy it is to start instant meetings by audio or video call and share screens or files.

Cons

I get notifications for chat and group messages but haven't found a way to get notified for messages in channels, so I've inadvertently missed some important messages.

### "Teams Feedback"

June 4, 2021

4.0

I have been using the app for about 2 years now, and use it daily. This is a great all in one app.

Pros

The face that it is a all in one stop, where files can be shared, screens can be shared. Phone calls can be made. This is truly a great app. It gives you more options to use that e.g Zoom or Skype

Cons

That documents received on a chat cannot be forwarded to other users. If there is a forward icon added, it can make the product better. Now you have to download and upload the same documents.

### "Microsoft teams is a very good platform when the ecosystem of the company is Microsoft products"

January 10, 2022

4.0

Pros

The integration with Sharepoint and Outlook really makes it super scalable and easy to use. The possibility of sharing and making calls within the participants of the company, make this tool very comfortable in its daily use

Cons

By having several teams in use, the search engine and the way in which it stores the information is complicated. A low point is when the participants are not part of the company, so they cannot easily access the information unless particular authorizations are given.

### "Very Useful, Easy to Use Communication & Collaboration Tool for Business"

September 10, 2021

5.0

If you're in the office this is the right program and to connect with each other, without doubt, I can tell you that this will be your future program to manage all organizational tasks online and to interact online and with the screen share option and can manage screens too. I highly recommend you to use Microsoft Teams to handle your all business meetings and meet-ups of clients.

Pros

Microsoft Teams is a wonderful tool to stay up with other coworker contacts, and it's excellent when making a video teleconference since you have an option to connect your webcam or if you have a text discussion with a different employee. Most I like about Microsoft Teams is, I can handle meeting with a client at any time and from anywhere.

Cons

Teams do not send any corresponding notices. The biggest downside is that when it is time for a conference it doesn't remind you. Although they are optional, they appear to be worthless. There are I've been trying them for one year now and have no helpful team alerts.

### "Good for Collaboration & Online Meetings"

October 6, 2021

5.0

Overall experience has been very good except the concern raised in the cons section

Pros

MS Teams is a good platform for Collaboration & Online meetings. Facilities offered are intutite and easy to use. Ability to integrate with Outlook for Calendar and the seemless experience of launching meetings from either Outlook or from MS Teams is the icing on the cake.

Cons

There is no option to reply to a message by quoting it. This is a basic feature available in all the messaging apps, i am surprised MS teams didnt provide it. It is availabe on Mobile app though but not available in Web & Desktop app

### "Collaborate seamlessly and share/ store files in Microsoft Teams"

February 14, 2021

5.0

Overall, we have Teams in our organization as prime mode of communication and collaboration. Although, I have used a number of such tools in my career but MS Teams is by far, one of the most thoughtful and interactive tool available in industry. Therefore, I would suggest this tool to all the mid to large sized companies to enhance communication capabilities within their organization which will in turn increase their employees productivity and efficiency.

Pros

1\. Amazing user interface. Almost everything is at the correct place and any new user will need some minutes to understand the entire software and feature-set placement. 2. Every feature is available, in the tool. From VOIP to Video call support and files sharing and storage, version control. Everything can be achieved right from the tool. 3. Additional feature-set, such as Planner, Tasks can be enabled and leveraged. It is not enabled out of the box, but can be done easily on adhoc basis.

Cons

1\. High internet bandwidth is required to run the tool smoothly. In case you have low internet speeds, the tool will not work as expected and provide a very laggy experience. 2. Desktop Application crashed/ not responds at times. This disrupts the user experience, however the frequency of this is not very high. 3. Good computer configuration is required to run this tool with the Desktop application.

### "Buggy and not so feature-rich"

January 12, 2022

3.0

Pros

It's good for the teams that are using Microsoft products and kind of syncs well with all things MS.

Cons

It's slow and buggy, uses a lot of RAM, but it's not very efficient. My team switched from Slack (for security reasons), and I can say that functionality and performance are far from being perfect. All in all, quite okay, but I'd definitely try out more solutions for a corporate messenger.

### "Most Useful workplace"

October 11, 2021

5.0

Overall, Microsoft Teams has been the best software l have come across in this world. It greatly helped me complete various projects, making calls, chatting, and other activities. l enjoyed using the software as it provides different features in which you can't find in other products.

Pros

The software has made life easier as it is easy to use, and integrate with other Microsoft Software. I will definitely recommend the software to anyone. It is a life saver as most people in the modern world work from home. It provides a variety features to people to use.

Cons

One of the disadvantages of using the the software is that it doesn't allow the user to permanently delete messages. A stable internet connection is greatly needed since some Microsoft features are inefficient. It can be confusing to join a meeting in the beginning. For instance when you get a link it offers many options like opening it on the website or in the app. If you haven't got the app yet choose opening it on the website because it could take some time downloading the app and you might be late from your meeting.

Overall, Microsoft Teams is an excellent tool for team collaboration. It offers a great platform for teams to communicate and share files, ideas, and projects. The user interface is easy to use and navigate. However, it can be slow at times and there is limited customization options available.

Pros

Microsoft Teams is an incredibly useful tool for collaboration and communication. It offers a great platform for teams to connect and share files, ideas, and projects. The user interface is also easy to use and navigate.

Cons

While Microsoft Teams is very useful, it can be quite slow at times, making it difficult to use when trying to collaborate in a timely manner. Additionally, there is a limited range of customization options available, making it hard to tailor the platform to the individual needs of a team.

### "Absolute simple easy tool for collaboration "

May 27, 2021

5.0

The product is just simply amazing and reliable to run entire departments, conduct online trainings, course work projects and collaboration. We are glad we updated to MS teams, saves us lot of money and time too

Pros

The integration with our existing office 365, outlook and calendar makes it no-brainer for selecting this product. The entire company is on Teams in less than a week!! Some of the really amazingly simple features I can highlight from my experience are Online meeting with students, counseling and guests Conduct sprint/agile ceremonies with remote teams became smooth and easy Remote screen sharing, remote access and much is now simply smooth without depending on other costly tools we have used in past

Cons

For some students and trainers who are remote and have low bandwidth - we have seen a lot of hanging on audio/screen sharing issues. That being said, the issues are mostly if we have bad bandwidth/internet issues.

### "Microsoft Teams - A Necessary Communication Tool"

November 23, 2020

5.0

We were able to replace a plethora of other software with one, Teams! We replaced our virtual meeting software and our intraoffice messaging app; and we've come up with a solution for our need to "text" all of our employees at once and have all of the responses come back to everyone. I know there is so much more that we could be doing with Teams, but the best part is that all of these communications are saved in one place. No more searching texts and emails and etc looking for communications. They are all in one place and they are saved until you delete them!

Pros

I love the variety of ways to communicate with Teams. We recently set it up to be our primary tool to be able to communicate with our entire staff on one platform that allowed for a group message with the number of employees we have. We have Teams on our computers and our phones, so there are a variety of ways to reach out to employees. I have also made sub groups of employees for communications that are only pertinent to them. Our corporate ownership is now using Teams to hold virtual meetings and it is working great!

Cons

Sometimes the set up can be a bit confusing, but the technical help we've received has been top notch.

### "It's no Slack but it works"

September 27, 2020

4.0

We transitioned to Teams from Slack this year because of cost, recognizing that our remote team needs a place that augments collaboration and real-time interaction. While functionally the platforms fill the same need, somehow Microsoft Teams is not as vibrant a platform as Slack. We get work done, but the culture that had sprung up around our former Slack workplace didn't transition with us. While usage has continued, engagement has not to the same level. I don't know why, but Slack felt more fun and had a better reputation on our team than Teams will ever have.

Pros

Teams gets the job done. It has messaging, team channels, file uploads, integrations, and video calling. It helps you collaborate as a team in a way that is much needed outside email. But somehow, it still feels like it's not all you want it to be.

Cons

Microsoft Teams feels very corporate, especially in comparison to Slack. While features and even layout of the interface is similar, it somehow manages to feel clunky, overly cluttered, and well...just corporate. This is seen most clearly in the Team "Praises" you can award which are so politically correct and inclusive as to feel painful and inauthentic. The emoji packs are also severely lacking, though the .giphy library still exists (thankfully) along with the Hey Taco integration. The ability to caption your own memes is fun.

Switched from

[Slack](https://www.capterra.com/p/135003/Slack/)

We were able to get a better non-profit discount to use Microsoft Teams than what Slack provided. But sadly, it has not been a better product. Maybe in part because it was so easy to tell someone you would "Slack them" and now you have to say "I will put it in Microsoft Teams for you."
