Pros

Teams is without a doubt the best communication piece of software for businesses. If you use any Microsoft 365 products, this is a no brainer. It connects seemlesly with SharePoint, Entra ID, Onedrive and Exchange Online. The quality of calls is impecable.

Cons

The only major feature that would be missing is a better integration with RDS Servers that are not in Azure.

Teams integrates very well with the Microsoft suite as well as Zoom, and is certainly better than email for asynchronous communication.

Teams is unnecessarily clunky, and lacks the advanced features that you would expect in a platform of this size, especially when it comes to programatic access/integrations

Teams is easy to operate, easy to navigate and super easy to setup. Everything is streamlined and it makes team collabs so simple that it just makes sense.

Pros

When it comes to business communication its just about the Golden standard. It provides the absolute best communication between Teams in the industry.

Cons

The thing thats a little frustrating about teams is mainly the program itself. Sometimes the program eats up your computers memory and will freeze a lot.

Overall, Microsoft Teams serves as a dependable, central hub for daily team communication, cross-functional collaboration, and virtual meetings. It effectively consolidates chat, video conferencing, calendar scheduling, and document sharing into a single workspace. While the interface and resource consumption can occasionally feel heavy during demanding workloads, the productivity gains from real-time co-authoring and Microsoft 365 integration make it an indispensable tool for team coordination and project execution.

Pros

The deepest strength of Microsoft Teams is its seamless ecosystem integration with Microsoft 365. Being able to co-author Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents directly inside a channel or chat window streamlines workflow without constantly switching tabs. Meeting features—such as background noise suppression, live captions, breakout rooms, and smooth screen sharing—are reliable for both daily standups and large organizational calls. Additionally, organizing discussions into specific channels with persistent chat and integrated SharePoint storage keeps project documentation structured and accessible across distributed teams.

Cons

The desktop application can be noticeably resource-heavy, occasionally consuming substantial RAM and CPU during active screen-sharing or video calls on multitasking setups. Navigating between multiple organization accounts or guest tenants can also feel clunky and slow. Furthermore, the search functionality can sometimes struggle to pinpoint specific messages or older shared files within crowded channels, requiring manual filtering to locate past conversations.

My overall experience over the last 4 years has been highly satisfying for professional work. Even though it requires more memory and a strong internet connection, its security, video stability, and file-sharing features are much better than other platforms.

Pros

Having used Microsoft Teams for over 4 years on a daily basis, I can say it is highly reliable. The video quality during long meetings is stable, and screen sharing works perfectly. The chat organization, channels, and deep integration with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem make managing a heavy 45-hour work week very smooth and efficient.

Cons

The main drawback is that it consumes a lot of system memory (RAM) and heavy internet data compared to other video calling apps like Zoom or Google Meet. If you are on a limited mobile data plan, it runs out very quickly, and it can also slow down older phones or laptops during long meetings.

It is a useful platform for meetings, communication, and teamwork. While it could be improved in terms of performance and simplicity, its wide range of features makes it a valuable collaboration tool.

Pros

It makes communication and collaboration easy. It provides useful features such as video meetings, instant messaging, file sharing, and integration with other Microsoft 365 applications. It is especially helpful for keeping work and team communication organized in one place.

Cons

Sometimes feel slow or use a lot of system resources. The interface can also be a little confusing at first, especially when there are many teams, channels, and notifications.

Love/hate. I like it's level of integration but the quality of calling can sometimes be a bit of a let down, especially if on with clients

Pros

It connects to the Microsoft ecosystem well and i like using the loop component in chats that is also used in other places like email and SharePoint etc

Cons

The teams call functionality - it only happens with Teams, that the 1st ten seconds of any call freezes intermittently.

It has been positive also the group creation and file sharing facilitates several task; overall for educational purposes.

Pros

I think that one of the biggest strengths for this product is the portability both app and desktop app (as well as browser) are equally functional. It facilitates communication a lot.

Cons

I think that this platform requieres a more stable internet connection that other apps on the same category.

I mainly use it for technical discussions, sprint meetings, quick troubleshooting conversations, and coordinating with people outside the engineering team. It has some organizational quirks, but it has been dependable enough to become part of my everyday workflow.

Pros

I can quickly jump into a conversation about an issue, share a code related document or screenshot, and continue the discussion without losing context. The integrations with Microsoft 365 are also genuinely useful.

Cons

There are often too many notifications, and older conversations can be surprisingly difficult to find. I’d also like the search experience to be a little more precise.

Pros

It makes it easy to communicate with your team members both on an individual level and also on a team level. For the most part it is easy to use for the essentials like sharing files, getting on meetings, and more. There are not a lot of options to customize the platform, so the importance of that may vary by team.

Cons

It leaves your status yellow way too fast, can be used as a tool for upper management to really micro manage what you are doing with your time. It could have more features such as adding channels as a space to collaborate as well.
