Overall it works well and I would likely choose over zoom or skype. I trust Microsoft more than other products

Pros

I like that you can have multiple people on one call. I like that it is Microsoft so that you can easily transfer files like word or excel and look at them together. We have used it along with zoom and it feels like it is better

Cons

Haven't had too much help from customer support. I feel that they take a while to answer and sometimes it is important to get feedback right away.

Pros

My favorite part about using Microsoft Teams is that I can quickly and easily communicate with people without the formality of an email. I like the different functions of a channel vs a chat as well.

Cons

The hardest part of using Microsoft Teams is setting good personal boundaries so that if other people have different working hours than I do, I don't get pulled into responding around the clock.

The company I work for made the switch. I was not involved in the decision.

Pros

It's a best tool for team communication and collaboration. It's vey easy to use and schedule meetings. They offer good customer support as well whenever we needed. This tool offers recording option during calls. I like this feature. Because, if I miss any important notes during meetings because of multiple works. Then, I simply start recording during that meeting and recap after getting free time.

Cons

Sometimes, the app is getting stuck when 10-12 applications are running in the background. I felt little difficult to find out the past conversations.

My overall experience has been very positive. Microsoft Teams has made collaboration easier by bringing communication, meetings, and document sharing into a single platform. It has improved team productivity and works well for both daily communication and virtual meetings. Despite a few minor performance issues, it remains one of the best collaboration tools I’ve used.

Pros

The seamless integration with Microsoft 365 is the biggest advantage. I like that I can chat, join meetings, share files, and collaborate on documents without switching between multiple applications. The meeting features, screen sharing, and channel-based communication help teams stay organized and productive.

Cons

The application can occasionally feel slow, especially when switching between multiple teams or channels. Notifications can also become overwhelming, and finding older conversations can sometimes be difficult if there are many active chats.

My overall experience with Microsoft Teams has been very positive. It provides a reliable, all-in-one platform for communication, collaboration, meetings, and file sharing, making it easy to keep teams connected whether working remotely or in the office. The integration with Microsoft 365 is a major strength, allowing documents to be shared and edited collaboratively without leaving the app. It's intuitive to use, highly customisable, and scales well for organisations of different sizes. While performance can occasionally slow on older hardware and large workspaces can become cluttered, the productivity benefits and collaboration features make it an excellent solution for day-to-day teamwork and project management.

Pros

Microsoft Teams makes communication and collaboration simple by bringing chat, meetings, file sharing, and project discussions into one place. It integrates well with Microsoft 365, making it easy to work on documents together in real time and keep everyone aligned. The interface is straightforward, it's highly customisable with channels and apps, and it offers excellent value for organisations already using Microsoft's ecosystem. It's reliable for both day-to-day communication and managing projects across remote or hybrid teams.

Cons

The desktop app can occasionally feel resource-intensive, especially on older devices, and notifications can sometimes be inconsistent or overwhelming without careful configuration. Finding older conversations or files isn't always intuitive, and as more apps and channels are added, navigation can become cluttered. While overall collaboration is excellent, managing large numbers of teams and channels could be more streamlined.

Reasons for choosing Microsoft Teams

I chose Microsoft Teams because it provides a more complete collaboration platform for day-to-day work. Beyond video meetings, it combines chat, file sharing, team channels, project collaboration, and deep integration with Microsoft 365 in a single application. This reduces the need to switch between multiple tools and makes it easier to keep communication, documents, and meetings organised in one place.

Overall Teams is essential to my job as someone who works remotely. It’s easy to use and it has been a positive experience.

Pros

As a remote worker, Teams allows me to communicate with co-workers in other cities via instant messages and virtual meetings. It also allows my company to easily store shared logs and documents so that they are accessible to employees in all of our locations.

Cons

When I have set up Teams meetings via teams (instead of via Outlook) there is a glitch that occurs - the meeting reminder that I set automatically changes to “no reminder” after I create the meeting so meeting attendees do not receive a 15 reminder before the meeting starts.
