Overall, Microsoft Teams performs well and can be a great organization and schedule tool. Further, it can assist in team work and communicate when used as it is designed.

Pros

Microsoft Teams allows our company to remain in contact internally instantly. We often use the chats feature to discuss quick items rather than sending e-mails through Outlook. Teams also gives us the ability to save time by scheduling virtual meetings vs. having to travel. Teams also integrates well with both OneDrive and SharePoint and therefore increases the speed and ease of collaboration amongst members of the team. The integration between Teams and Outlook is also paramount to organization and scheduling.

Cons

Microsoft Teams, like many Microsoft products, has a very steep learning curve and can feel overwhelming and clunky for some team members/new hires. Members of our team often struggle to differentiate between chats, channels and teams.

Reasons for choosing Microsoft Teams

The integration between the other Microsoft products we use was the deciding factor when choosing to use Microsoft Teams.

Pros

I like that it integrates with Microsoft 365's Calendar app and that you can retreive meeting transcripts after calls.

Cons

I always have issues with screen-sharing, where sometimes I cannot share my entire screen or documents on my computer. Also sometimes when I create calendar invites with Teams meetings, randomly I will get a message that someone has to let me (or others) into the meeting--when I created the meeting from my calendar.

Overall, my experience with Microsoft Teams has been very positive. It’s a powerful tool for communication and collaboration, keeping chats, meetings, and files all in one place. While the interface can feel busy at times, its features and integrations make teamwork much more efficient.

Pros

What I liked most about Microsoft Teams is how it brings communication and collaboration into one platform. Chat, video calls, file sharing, and integration with other Microsoft apps make teamwork smooth and efficient.

Cons

One downside of Microsoft Teams is that the interface can sometimes feel a bit cluttered, and managing notifications can be overwhelming in larger teams.

Overal Teams is a good tool not only for ocmmunication but also to keep the team in touc with each other and keep team collaboration high

Pros

What I like the most about Teams is the various functions it has for dividing chats and chat groups as well as the features inside chats such as GIF's and emojis. Its a fun tool we use to keep the team engaged as well as keeping the team updated on their individual tasks and goals for the day

Cons

What I like the least about Teams is the limited amount of chats you can have in a specific grouping. This is due to the high amount of work I have to do and shouldnt be a problem overall for others

Overall, it has been very positive. I feel confident going to season where I need to do time management in detail. I always know I can look up my history and get AI summaries to distill down what happened.

Pros

I enjoy how efficient it is to search in my conversation history to find a related image or video that is needed for a report. I often organize my thoughts in terms of the conversations that I have with coworkers.

Cons

Sometimes, there are updates that force sweeping changes in the UI. The last time this happened, all of my coworker conversations were buried from the main sidebar and I needed to dig deep into settings to find out how to enable them again.

It has become the gold standard for communicating with my team professionally and keeping our projects and ideas organized. I even use it to record a podcast with a coworker weekly.

Pros

Your chats are well organized in relation to everything how everything else is laid out in the platform and you never lose track of a specific chat. There is also a "cork board" scheduler to make collaborating easier. There are also some fun customization options for your meetings like backgrounds.Screen sharing and recordings is very easy.

Cons

There can be some slowdown during large video team meetings, especially if you are running Chrome or Worse at the same time. It can be a little confusing going from one Teams window or tab to another when a video chat is underway.

It has a very nice customer support team because they have always been helpful to me. I like the fact that it allows auto-record when streaming live meeting. The chat section is nice.

Cons

For now I don’t have any cons about Microsoft teams as I don’t experience bug issues, many interesting features.

Overall, I like using Microsoft Teams and use it on a daily basis because of the ease of use and all in one capability.

Pros

I love that Microsoft Teams is a central area to go to for messaging and video conferencing - quick and easy!

Cons

Biggest issue I have come across is sometimes I have notification issues and trouble finding a team that I had already created.
