Pros: Workplace combines the best features of Facebook, Slack and Basecamp and makes a case of a private social media application designed for productive communication and not time wasting.

It works really well as a company's general newsfeed and it allows to bond the collective in a more easy-going and informal manner.

On one hand, Workplace is a perfect working environment for human resources - streamlined, self-contained and direct. It really helps to establish solid internal Employer Branding and keep every member of the team on the same page. There are numerous features that allow various temperature checks of the teams via polls, discussions, etc. On the other hand, Workplace is a really good fit for onboarding of the new team members.

Cons: Since this is a Facebook product - there are certain concerns over privacy. When it comes to sharing some sensitive data - actions often proceed in a more trusted environments.

On the other hand, there is just too much of the stuff to do. The novelty of "Facebook but for work" wears off pretty fast and it makes Workplace more of a gimmick tool than an actual productivity tool.

As it often happen with Facebook newsfeed - it might get crowded and cluttered after a while, especially if the activity is relatively high. Aside from project related groups - it is often nothing more than a link dumpster.

Overall: What if Facebook was streamlined to essentials and free of excessive fat? That's Workplace.

For a long time Facebook was a leisure outlet on the workplace - the one for wasting time and getting lost in-between tasks. With Workplace the dynamics had flipped and now it is a legitimate productivity tool where you can chat with your colleagues, exchange ideas, drop some stuff and discuss serious matters without distracting yourself to everything else in your newsfeed.

Pros: Almost everyone (except the rather super senior employees) have been using Facebook social media app... They know how it works, its functionalities, and benefits for keeping in touch with the people that matter to them... now, we have exactly the same app.. for use in the office workplace. Therefore, no training needed. Everyone on-board right away.

Workplace replaced many of our internal apps (repositories, messaging, collaboration portal, etc). We now use workplace for community building, direct and group/project messaging, sharing of files, photos, and updates, audio and video calls, and live streaming of office events (which also serve as a recording device for late viewing).

Everything you love about social Facebook, now available for exclusive work and office use.

Cons: Data security is and will always be a concern for the modern digital man. Although we know that this is a paid service, hence the data is supposed to be private and secure because it is not meant to be used for ads, and what not... Security, especially of recent, is always a big question mark and concern.

Overall: Facebook for the office (i.e., via Workplace) has helped our company in terms of community and culture building, communication, collaboration, keeping up to date with the happenings across different departments and teams, messaging via direct chat, group chat, audio, video calls... there's a ton of features that make this a really worth it investment for any company big or small.

Pros: I used Workplace when I volunteered on a project c/o a non-for-profit organization. We used it primarily as a Project Management tool to keep everyone in the loop for project planning, collaboration, execution, monitoring, and getting instant feedback.

I have a personal Facebook account, and Workplace works in exactly the same way. We created Groups for our project teams. From there we could share files, make posts, create a common calendar, etc. What I loved the most is the use of the chat app for IM, voice and video calls. The live streaming is fantastic as well because we were able to cover our event, stream it live and keep a recording of it for future use.

Cons: For some of my teammates, they did not want the idea of having to maintain and look at two accounts (one personal/social and the other for work). Not sure if there is a way to connect the two accounts so that some of the posts/etc may be in sync.

The mobile app is a bit clunky and updates quite often. I hope they create a "Lite" version similar to the Facebook app (esp for lighter data consumption and light on the smartphone requirements).

Overall: Facebook as a social platform has matured a lot, with so many features available for communication and collaboration. It's no wonder why billions of people use it. Now, these same features are made available for our professional work. It's fantastic!

Pros: Workplace is like a clone of Facebook. And since almost everyone in the office has a personal Facebook account, there is very little (to none) on-boarding needed to deploy this app into our entire organization.

We are a non-profit organization and so the best part of this is that Facebook offered this product to us Free of charge!

All the features of Facebook work great for office use (e.g., creating groups, instant messaging, video and calls, sharing pictures, videos and files)

Workplace also allows us to connect with external vendors who have Workplace in their companies. Works great for project implementations.

Cons: This is cloud-based and all data is stored on Facebook servers in the cloud. If you are wary of Data Privacy, just make sure to review the privacy notice, and terms of use.

Overall: All the features of a personal Facebook account are now available for office use!

Communication - best for instant messaging, voice and video calls, even live-streaming of our events. Company-wide announcements are now easy to post and even track who's viewed each post. Notifications via email are also helpful to remind 'inactive' people to log-in to Workplace and keep updated via posts and their wall.

Collaboration - we can easily create groups as shared workspaces for project work.

Culture-building - since we used this app, we experienced an increase in employee engagement. People started sharing all kinds of stuff (mostly work related, but sometimes even non-work-related like outings, birthdays, etc).

My company used Facebook Workplace for a bit before we switched over to Slack + Basecamp.

Pros: The Workplace features and functionalities are what I like best because they're more unique than other programs. I've used Slack which I've seen vastly improve company communication (in terms of speediness + efficiency) and company culture (due to GIFs and groups)... I've used Basecamp which has incredibly improved project management + clarity. Workplace, though, is specifically good for onboarding and training. I love the poll feature, too, and I haven't seen that used in other programs. However, the poll feature should be used for strictly non-emotional topics. I've used it to get my team to choose a preference in a date or a time or a food option. It shouldn't be used for diverse or political topics.

Run polls in Groups to get a quick pulse on company issues

Use Workplace Chat bots to make payroll, benefits or onboarding processes quicker and easier

Share Live Videos, webinars and articles for more efficient training

Connect new hires to the team (and each other) using Multi-Company Groups

Recognise employees quickly and easily in News Feed with a simple Reaction or even a GIF

Cons: I think because Workplace is a Facebook product companies are less likely to invest in it for company culture / communication due to Facebook's social media nature which doesn't scream 'productivity' to corporate higher-ups. Also, the data security issues happening right now al make companies trust Facebook less especially because Workplace is for business.

Pros: This is not the first social network focused on a Company's Business, but Facebook being behind Workplace surely makes it one of the highest grossing Enterprise-Driven Networks right now.

The Interface is friendly and as expected, quite similar to Facebook, for not saying identical. It has its obvious differences when it comes to certain features that are more adapted to a Professional environment.

The best description to the positive assets that I can give to Workplace is that it is a fun way to get to know the employees of the company you work for, you might find people with the same interests, share funny jokes, videos, photos, statuses, create and join groups, etc.

You can create events to invite your co-workers, or even schedule meetings and endeavors that are more related to your company's main goals.

It is easy to use, and if you are a Facebook user you will feel at home.

Cons: Just like in Facebook, the main App and the Messenger are separate softwares.

Sometimes you might get overloaded by notification's mails on your inbox.

Depending on the company's size, some features might become confusing when working at a big Enterprise, such as having too many groups to choose from with similar goals/topics.

Overall: Workplace makes my everyday job feels more like an easy-going stress free experience. I think every company should try it out; it is a great way to get to know the people you work with, interact with them, and team up efficiently.

Pros: Workplace chat - Workplace Chat has a simple and familiar interface like what's obtainable with Facebook messenger. It enable me communicate with my colleagues with ease ,while making use of stickers ,emoji and gifs to spice up my conversations with my work peers. It also enable me to create polls, exchange video clips or share gps location with my team members ,when I am outside the office environment.

Groups - Workplace group is similar to Facebook groups , however this time , they serve as collaborative spaces where office tasks ,and projects get done. Workplace group makes it easy to share files in a secure environment , tag team members , get feedback and assign tasks.

Org chart - There are over 5000 users on my organizations Workplace. Therefore it can be an hideous task, having to search for team members working on a particular project or staffs in a particular department. Org Chart solves this problem by making it easy for me to quickly search up individual user profiles and team info. , therefore making me expend way less time trying to find out who to contact.

Cons: I have sometime lost track of what I needed to do ,and expended precious time reading official posts and trending gossips on Workplace.

Pros: I like the sense of familiarity which comes with workplace because of its close similarity to Facebook in functionality and aesthetics.

The ability to collaborate and communicate with every employee in my organization in locations across the world without necessarily having met them physically is priceless.

Workplace makes it possible to do everything I have done on Facebook for years ,but this time within my organization.I can create posts ,share photos of team meetings, communicate with members of my marketing team via groups, organize conference meetings and even stream conference meetings in high definition to other non-physically present colleagues on Workplace via Bluestream.

Cons: With workplace there is always the possibility of over indulging and loosing track of what tasks needs to be done.As there is always something interesting to read or a post thread to follow. What else do you expect when multitudes in an organization engage online?

Pros: We use Workplace in my organization to connect every of my organizations staff in every location ,team and department. It is handy for project collaborations and provides me with multiple ways to communicate with my team members from chatting , video calls ,audio calls ,group comments etc

It has a short learning curve as it is very similar with Facebook social network ,and has an almost identical user interface and functionality. It integrates efficiently with some of our regularly used third party solutions at work like Azure ,Bluejeans and Okta.

Cons: I dislike that I am only able to access Facebook workplace via a VPN at work ,and also I see very little difference between Facebook social network and Facebook workplace and honestly , Facebook social will easily replace this program in any organization. So I wonder why we have to pay to use Facebook workplace premium ,when we can access most of the features for free on Facebook social.

Pros: - Easy to get started: If you use/love Facebook, you'll use/love this.

- Lots of privacy features: You can follow people, not use a picture, only join certain groups - feels more private than regular Facebook.

- Feels snappier: I don't know if it's because we only use it for about 40 people, but the overall desktop experience feels faster than Facebook, which is a plus in my book.

Cons: - Endless feed of updates from colleagues, same as with regular facebook.

- A lot of features from regular Facebook aren't present in Workplace - yet.

- Groups can be addictive to join, but also hard to manage.

Overall: We use it at our agency every day. Facebook's problems seem to be Workplace's problems: when many people post per day, it's hard too see all status updates. So you become stuck with 2 endless feeds of posts from people. Otherwise, it's better than Slack in my book, for what I use it for - infrequent status updates.

Pros: Workplace is essentially the same setup as Facebook. The benefit to this is that since most people already have their own personal Facebook accounts, there isn't much of a learning curve when implementing this software at work. The chat is also a great feature because you an instantly private message a coworker or start a group chat with people you're working on a project with. Lastly, I like the ability to create groups because then you can share certain documents or articles with specified groups of colleagues.

Cons: One of the biggest issues with this software is that a lot of older coworkers refuse to use it since they don't have their own personal Facebook accounts and therefore don't know how to use the program. As a result, workplace by facebook is also helpful if other coworkers are willing to adopt the software. Secondly, while workplace can help with productivity it can also hurt it. If you don't monitor what content or photos people are posting people can quickly turn it into regular Facebook making the software a time sink and a site workers will visit for distractions.

Overall: It's a great improvement from our old chat software. With our old software, you could only message coworkers who were online. Therefore, someone could be in the office but because they aren't signed into the software they won't get your message. Workplace is great because you can message anyone you need to regardless of their online status. In addition, there's a desktop chat app that you can download so you can make sure you're always receiving any messages coworkers send you without having to log into the website.

It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's nice!

Pros: I'm so used to the constant blaring of regular Facebook that a quiet, professional Facebook is very odd. My publishing house set up a Workplace for us to have a private area to post our beta reading items, discuss upcoming anthologies, and things of that nature. It's easy to use because it is basically a private Facebook, but there are still some features missing- which is honestly a good thing. It's built for business networks and geared towards work collaborations, and you can tell when you log on and see the pared down system. It cuts the chatter, ads, distractions, and frankly... messiness down to zilch. It's definitely growing on me.

Cons: So far I haven't really found any, as I haven't used it enough yet. However, our publisher says that the free version is pretty limited admin-wise, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why would a business have a network that they couldn't admin, especially with other networks out there that enable private business networks in the same vein that allow adminning your own team? Just seems a bit odd, is all. From a user standpoint, it looks great and smooth. From the admin standpoint, it seems there's a bit to be desired still.

Pros: Very easy to use UI and short learning curve for employees (since it's built the same way Facebook was built). I often describe it to others as 'Facebook, without all the ads'. Its sole focus is on group functionality so it's great for cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing. We use the Live video functionality often which is great for global participation and alignment.

Cons: Notifications can sometimes get lost if you're subscribed to a lot of groups. A weekly digest of things you were mentioned or tagged in, would be helpful. The chat system isn't very modern and lacks integrations so we use an external software (Slack) for internal chat communication and workflow.

Pros: With workplace i created a network of work with my colleagues and we kept in touch with each other, this has greatly improved our team work and our professional performance and super easy to communicate/coordinate projects with coworkers. Cons: As of this time that I am using Workplace, I really do not see a thing that I do not like or need. All features are useful to our institution. It has become an aggregator to projects, project management tools are quite lacking in the application

Pros: (Almost) everyone uses Facebook for personal/social functions... Why not use it for the office?

Imagine everything you do in FB (messaging, sharing files and photos, voice and video calling, groups, etc) can now be done within an almost exact copy but limited to official/office function! Best for culture building for any company, as well as inter-company communications.

Cons: Data privacy is still a question mark... although, there are no ads here, I don't think FB will be using our data for other channels of revenue...

Overall: Facebook features for connecting people is now a platform available for our office. We use this to communicate (internal comms as well as inter-company to vendors who use Workplace), and we also use this to build a strong collaborative culture within our company. Everybody knows how to use FB, so no/to minimal training needed for deployment.

Pros: It's not revolutionary or anything, but it uses the interface of a social network, with corporate features. We use it in my business, and everyone likes it. We still use it to this day. I learned to know many colleagues on this platform.

Cons: It's not the most complete software ever. We use it for fun. Also, we know that it's secured, but some people became worried that maybe it wasn't that safe and stopped using it.

Overall: I really like Workplace for what it is, a fun, engaging platform.

Pros: It is Facebook for work - so I see so much engagement across our various global teams - we are starting to share work things with people, we have actually used the collaboration function to create documents together, and I get to see pictures from others - really, it's all the great things Facebook is for work!

Cons: Signing in for companies is more difficult - and I think its hard if we are also not all on the same work domain - so for example, care.org people are on but care.ca people can't get on. And I wonder what limitations those are caused by.

Overall: Getting teams across the world and people who work in remote field offices to start to engage better.

Pros: Facebook is the main social platform for the majority of our audience, so it just seemed like a natural fit to use workplace withing the company. It's easy to use for everyone because everyone knows Facebook. The layout is nearly identical to it's social version, so we all picked it up quick. Staying in touch with other departments has never been easier or more intuitive. For me particularly, it's great because I also take care of our social platforms. It's a seamless transition from connecting with distributors and connecting with employees.

Cons: If you're looking for a more in-depth program (i.e., for project management, time management etc), Workplace probably isn't the best fit. It's pretty much just Facebook, but meant for use within the company.

We have combined weekly email updates and just uploaded them onto Workplace. People also can add pictures just like Facebook to their profile and it really helps you to get to know people better. You can also post small wins for your team so that co-workers can see it. You can also create groups for different locations, teams, etc. and post events and updates based on those specifications.

Cons: One issue is with the chat feature. On our old tool, you could see if someone was away or in a meeting and then you would know not to message them, but with this tool, you cannot do that. It is just hard to know if someone may have read your message or not.

Pros: I like how feature filled this site is. It has everything I need from the ability to create groups to video chatting or calling a coworker all from one site. I have coworkers on the other side of the country and in other countries and workplace makes it easy to connect with them.

Cons: I took a star off due to the design. The site is well designed, but I personally don't find it nice to look at. It's very bland like Facebook but that's to be expected. It's Facebook but for the workplace.

Overall: Instead of needing several products, Workplace fulfills the needs of those. I no longer need to have skype or any other video calling app nor do I need a chat app. Workplace has both and more.

Pros: Workplace has improved the way in which we communicate among co-workers and we remain always in contact so that teamwork is excellent and we do not miss any view. teamwork is always difficult but maintaining good communication makes it possible for great and positive things to happen.

Cons: A good and fluid communication is always an advantage and workplace helps us with this, but it is important to know that it is a tool that we must manage responsibly and in an organized manner so that the information that flows through this channel is really useful, good or bad our use of Workplace is entirely our responsibility.

Pros: The workplace in facebook is a very useful concept. This helps to interact with different people in an organisation and share your opinions and reviews of some events happening around the organisation. It is also useful in getting opinions from people about any events to be organised or any newly imposed policies by the organisation.

Cons: There is no such cons except some updates or changes to be brought in the user interface which seems a bit older facebook type we used earlier.

Overall: The workplace has been helpful in reviewing any activities going around the organisation and also helped in getting votes for anything right or wrong happening around the org.

Pros: I like that it is a great way for staff to stay connected and to see updates from the rest of the company about what is going on on a day to day basis. Nice layout that lot's of people are familiar with.

Cons: I don't like that it doesn't display the timeline in chronilogical order. This can make posts hard to find.

Overall: We were trying to have our employees feel more connected on a platform they are familiar with. This seems to work decently. It is fun to acknowledge employees company wide.

Pros: 1. Since it is like a miniature of FB, it is very easy to use

2. Perfectly fits for the professional needs

3. It has a workchat platform integrated

4. Easy to share links and create events

5. Good for free plans

6. It has Groups, chat, video call feature

7. Easy to share the ideas and get it reviewed

Cons: 1. Still in the chat there is no direct message to message reply option

2. It still has some bugs, such us even though a feed is seen, the notification will still be on in group.

Overall: I am able to collaborate with the team so easily. Since it is fine-tuned for professional needs it fits perfect for our team communication. Everything such as groups, chat in a single place. Since it has mobile apps, I am able to be available all the time. The UI is easy and neat. Perfect for scheduling meetings and checking availability.

Pros: The software has been implemented for the entire organization (400 people) and this is a tool that provides ease of communication, networking with employees across the US and promoting and encouraging employees to work safely by sending daily messages. The most important tool for me is the utilization of creating a survey for all to take and that provides management feedback on our safety culture or aka a mini perception survey.

Cons: Since I like to be transparent!! The option to create an invisible group is a function I would remove from this platform as across most organizations, we need to breakdown the silos!

Overall: The ability to network with off site employees and provide a clear path for communication utilizing technology.

Pros: I can easily communicate with my co-workers even if i'm in my vacation or away from the office.

I don't need all the email and cell phone numbers of my co-workers to be connected to them, I just need to install this software on my phone.

Cons: The thing is we need an Internet Access to use this software. We don't have free Internet Access in any places on our city so I have a little problem on using this, well its a minor problem but for me this software will become perfect if it supports free data like Facebook.

Overall: Can communicate faster with my co-leagues.

Pros: At first I was excited to have facebook workplace in our organization, however it is just proving to be another time killer. Lots of management speeches and work related motivational quotes. Its a good news sharing application about whats happening in the company. If you are neck deep in to work assignments than this is of no use to you. Otherwise , you may have good info sharing , fun, knowledge sharing through this within your team.

Cons: Nothing much. You can't compare it with original facebook. Otherwise you have similar features as in Facebook. Wont find public groups and posts related to trivial but funny matters.

Overall: Good application for information dissemination among team members. Feeds you with important information within the organization.

Pros: The best thing about Workplace by Facebook is the fact that almost everyone uses Facebook, so there's no need to train your team how to use it. It's a great tool for communication; everyone at work checks everyday and never misses important updates. Also great to have built-in instant messaging and details of each employee readily available on their profile -- no more guesswork!

Cons: The only qualm I have for Workplace by Facebook is it easily reminds me of its parent brand social networking site. This sometimes triggers a conditioned response of just scrolling through my News Feed all the time. Other than that I don't really see any huge downside in using this.

Pros: It's really easy to communicate with coworkers and make posts asking for help from people across the organization. It's also super easy to make either group chats or workplace groups for your different working groups you have. This allows you to create one centralized location to discuss a project you're working on or share documents with other people. It's also very easy to pickup using the tool since it's exactly the same as regular Facebook.

Cons: Sometimes people will post funny pictures or other stuff which can deter from it being only for work-related content. Just be careful you don't have people using it like they would their personal Facebook account.

Pros: It is easy to access and free to use, which are its biggest perks in my eyes. Our organization works in two different countries so the accessibility piece (since everyone in both countries has access to Facebook and Workplace) make it well-suited to our needs. We have tried other communication software but Workplace is a nice option because much of our staff is already familiar with the Facebook-style interface.

Cons: I think the layout is not as intuitive as it could be. If you are familiar with Facebook it is easier to navigate, but the concept of open and private groups is confusing from the administrative side, especially when you are a larger organization like ours that has a hundred users.

Overall: Workplace is a software that works well for our organization because of our specific inter-country requirements but I do not think it is the most effective communication platform that exists.

Pros: It is Facebook- it is EASY to use, and who does not know how to use Facebook? Workplace makes it easy to stream live videos/ presentations, have large group chats, schedule meetings. This makes taking business issues on the "go" easy. There is a free option and who does not like FREE? This could be beneficial for small businesses trying to get started, such as my sister's interior design company. For those that choose to pay for the service, you pay only for those users that log in each month.

Cons: So far, there is nothing that I do not like.

Overall: Workplace makes it easy to collaborate with other team members on projects, makes it easy to connect anytime of the day and allows for secure document sharing.

Pros: Since Workplace uses the same layout as Facebook, it's incredibly easy to use. It saves you a ton of emails and does a great job at keeping you up-to-date with what's going on in the company. Also, I prefer the "permanence" of post over other solutions like Slack. While it's more formal than Slack, I like how much easier it is to find old posts or resources that you were looking for.

Cons: It can be a bit glitchy at times. For example, my newsfeed will sometimes stop displaying posts after 5 or so posts. That said, it hasn't happened too many times. It seems that they may be tackling the issue.

Pros: This software is really easy to use if you are an active Facebook user. The platform resembles Facebook even down to the messaging feature. It is easy to keep the tab for Workplace open on your computer and you receive push notifications to email if you are mentioned by a team member. It works really well for our team because they are split between two countries, so it gives us a virtual space to interact and share photos and stories from the field that we can then use in fundraising campaigns and on social media.

Cons: The downside is that a lot can happen between log-ins, especially if you're working across time zones. Sometimes I will log in and be overwhelmed with notifications because the team abroad has been sharing content in bulk. Topics can also be broken into groups, which is a useful feature but can get confusing if not properly organized.

Overall: It is a user-friendly, intuitive software that will work well for those accustomed to Facebook.

Pros: One of the largest hurdles to getting teams to buy in to software is learning to use the software. Workplace by Facebook works just like Facebook - so it's easy to deploy and get the team involved quickly. It also serves perfectly as a way for everyone to have logged communication.

Cons: While it's great for communication, it lacks what all good collaboration-type software has; tasks, email to group, etc. The good AND the bad of Workplace by Facebook is the fact that it's just like Facebook.

Overall: Workplace by Facebook is an easy tool to deploy because it's just like Facebook. But, while it's easy to use, it's lacking depth.

Pros: Currently many of our acquaintances have a personal Facebook account, so to use Workplace very little (or none) is needed, and it was easy to implement this application throughout our organization. The best part of the application is that Facebook offers it free of charge. The characteristics that it possesses, work very well for the use of the office; For example, create groups, instant messaging, video and calls, share photos and files, in addition to making videos to be broadcast live.

Workplace also allows us to connect with our external suppliers, as long as they have Workplace in their companies.

Cons: I really have no complaints about Workplace, it is to manage your personal Facebook profile, but now you will use it only for work purposes and with your work team network.

Overall: Workplace I recommend it for those who wish to be aware of any news and to have direct communication with their co-workers.

Pros: Very useful for helping with new co workers and easy to set up. This platform is great to keep topics and discussions all centralized and great to keep workers informed and its very cheap. Extremely useful if you run a remote business where you do not have much contact with employees. You can hold important discussions, post weekly updates, and directly connect with certain people. Definitely a great way to answer questions and solve problems.

Cons: Wish it had more of a CRM capability. It's just like regular facebook but aimed at businesses. Wish it would integrate with your personal facebook better. Last, I wish it was more customizable being that it sometimes can be super time consuming scrolling through groups.

Pros: I like the ability to upload files that can be downloaded by members of groups.

The ability to create different albums so that users can easily find documents or graphics needed to download and post to their own business pages.

I can create an organizational chart for members to easily know who to go to for certain things.

The familiar feel of a personal Facebook page makes the setting comfortable for users.

Other users can also add materials to contribute to the groups.

Cons: I had an almost impossible time being able to add users via work email address.

Also, no users I invited with the invitation link were able to join the group with the link.

I eventually gave up on using Workplace because it was too difficult to add members.

A couple would add with no problem, and others were never able to be added.

Overall: Overall, the inability to add users made me give up using Workplace. I was only ever able to add four people to the group. Despite trying to add them all in the same way that I added the original four. Would be a good platform if this could be resolved.

Cons: Just as the facebook app, workplace does its job perfectly. It's hard to find an issue.

Overall: Workplace has broken down communication barriers among co workers, and now it's easier to share ideas even with my superiors from the comfort of my office or home.

Keep it private, but keep being social.

Pros: I love the idea of workplace, it's a fantastic way to communicate and socialize with your coworkers, it allows you to share and have fun without compromising you privacy, you don't have to share your personal Facebook profile with the whole office and yet can still enjoy the benefits of it, also it's a great way to keep up with the events inside the offic and to share hobbies with coworkers in a more easy going vibe.

Cons: I believe it needs a tutorial or some sort of guidance of how to use it, I got the hang of it because I use Facebook, but I still don't understand lots of things and would like to know to to fully use it. Also it would be amazing if I could share some posts of my Facebook account on workplace, like managing one account with different outlets instead of two accounts.

Pros: What I like the most about it is the ability to be a part of different groups, being able to chat with my coworkers online instead of having to send an email or buzz them on the phone. I like the facility of having open groups with my workplace to answer business questions without the interruption of everyday Facebook.

Cons: Some things I dislike about Workplace is that it is not that easy to format post, it is not possible to use Markdown formatting in the comments and the timeline is a bit confusing. It is not clear why some post appear and some posts don't. The task management scheduling future in terms of calendaring can be improve, but in general is a good software.

Overall: This software has been very useful at the moment a management team works in my company, improving the internal communications on these teams.

I can communicate with my colleagues without leaving my desk. The workplace chat responds faster than email.

Cons: Lately when I chat on workplace it enlarges and takes up my whole screen instead of being a chat box on the bottom

- ease of use, if you have an own account facebook (it's almost the same! even GIFs and reactions)

Cons: - it's especially good for big companies, not small teams

- I miss something ... and the slack is much easier to write on the channels

Overall: I used it at my company for 8months everyday

Cons: The crashes. I use it occasionally at work, sometimes daily for many months. I see it error at least 2-3x's a month. I know for large scale undertakings with software + servers, 2-3 errors a month is a somewhat normal for any software really. I just expected a better product from Facebook whose website and apps seem to never have issues.

Pros: I can chose not to be Facebook friends with someone at work, but I can still click on their profile and see everything about work projects on their page. Its nice to have your facebook open and create a post in that group and be able to reach only the people involved, just like you do with your private facebook account, in the same easy format. Its quite nice, and you can call workers with it or just have group discussion as if you were commenting on a friends random post. Easy.

Cons: I can't think of anything that I don't like, per-se, however using this format at work and then trying to relax after work with a similar format maybe looses some of the fun? ! Not really a big deal. Really like this platform.

Pros: Because it's based in one of the biggest, if not the biggest, social platforms online, most of the people already know how to use it before they get to it.

It helps people in big companies with the same interests meet up and form groups dedicated to those shared interests.

Cons: As with the non-workplace Facebook, it can get distracting a tad too quickly.

Because it shares both virtues and defects with it's socially focused brother, posts shared at workplace can get viral inside big companies, and while that in itself isn't bad, it can be hard to manage when it does go bad.

Overall: It helps me and my team to stay up to date with the company's news and developments.

It also allows for social groups to form, improving camaraderie between people who wouldn't had met otherwise.

Pros: -The platform is familiar since it operates much like Facebook, but is separate and for internal inter-office usage.

-The tool can function as a wiki, so keep HR docs, etc.

-The chat feature is nice to be able to communicate and have simple, short conversations with colleagues.

-We can easily create a new group to start a specific conversation and not clutter the main conversation in the original group.

-The platform is on a separate account from a personal Facebook, so people have a "work" profile.

Cons: -This is a separate account from Facebook (Even though it is by Facebook) - which makes it a another social media tool for networking (That is only for our office). We want people to be on it more regularly, but they are not getting engaged as much as we hoped.

-There are some groups that as an Admin I still can't completely remove. I would like to delete them, but it is built in by default.

Overall: We were hoping to engage a group of ministry leaders that don't all work in the same building and was hoping this tool might help. We are thinking it might not bring the engagement we had hoped.

We've been using Workplace for about 4 months now (as a non-profit, we worked with Techsoup and are able to use the product for free) It was very easy to setup and get people signed up. Pros: The main seller is the huge user base that Facebook already has. Most people are use to the setup, and know how to intuitively navigate between pages. Easy to set events, post to feeds to see updates on projects and plans, and it's free (for most).

Cons: It's a good tool to post and check in at a later time, but for quick interactions I know most people use a program like Slack to message. This is more for co-worker social functions and updates, at least for me, and we use other programs for quick messages.
