June 4, 2020 5.0 I switched from another bankruptcy software company and didn't realize how much that one was lacking until I switched. This software is user friendly and the customer service is outstanding. Pros This software is nothing short of amazing. The fact that this software is cloud based is the most beneficial feature for my firm as I can access everything from anywhere in the world, including on a plane. The Virtual Paralegal option is hands down one of the best features. Cons That I took do long joining the Next Chapter family. Reason for choosing NextChapter The reason I chose it was the ease of use and the high level of customer service. The staff are friendly, the prices are economical for small firms, and the Pros The software is easy to use. It's mostly self explanatory but there are hundreds of recourses available if you get stuck. It's easy to play with the settings so the documents always turn out the way you want. I you do ever get stuck the customer support is on point. I don't believe I have submitted a request that has taken longer than a couple short hours to resolve. Cons it is a baby program, so there are a couple little bugs that pop up occasionally, usually they are fixed by doing site maintenance which slows business down a little but not too much time is wasted. Cons There are still a few problems, such as finding out where to enter certain things on the statement of affairs so that it lines up properly with the number. " November 26, 2017 4.0 Pros Easy to use; current forms availability; one of the first companies to offer a remote site to prepare filings. Cons There is the usual learning curve to understand how the information posted gets used in the forms. Also, the forms need further tweaking to make sure all the info that is posted makes its way into the form. But NextCahper is always improving the forms and welcomes input. I like that you only have to answer certain things only one time and they are copied into the forms as many times as needed. I also like the virtual paralegal option to help get me started with my bankruptcy practice. The software is relatively user friendly and has helpful instructions. The preview feature is great as well as being able to download drafts. I like the ease of filing amendments as well. Cons There have been issues with the chapter 13 plan which are usually resolved by reloading the page several times. Some features are not yet available for the district in which I practice. I would like to see more additional documents able to be uploaded along with the Petition. It makes it a lot easier to do bankruptcy petitions from anywhere. The customer service is good. I just wish there was phone support more readily available. Pros It's cloud based and has ability to keep documents and notes in the case dashboard which are at your fingertips. Cons The pay stub and tree feature which also affects the means test features. I'm going to have to work on it more to get familiarized as it's different from other software I used. It makes everything so easy to use and takes the guesswork out. Pros This product is so easy to use. All you have to do is put in the information. I love that is syncs with Clio Manage. They are the perfect pair! Customer Support is amazing. If I have any problems at all, they are on it right away and will not rest until the issue is resolved! Cons There can be some issues with syncing with Clio Manage, but like I said before, their support staff is great at getting them fixed ASAP. The web-based solution does not require any special software and seems to work flawlessly in many different web browsers. Cons The software does not seem to allow for any manual entry or to override certain items, particularly in the means test and income sections. The software covers all the issues in a filing and is easy to use. I'm very happy with the product and the support. Pros The software is easy to use, easy to set up and easy to work with. What's even better is the on screen chat support which allows you to instantly connect with a member of the support team. The support I've received is second to none. Far and above better than that I've received from the other software service companies I subscribe to for my firm. Cons The information on the virtual paralegal program is a little scarce. May 8, 2018 5.0 Pros It is so easy to input a client's bankruptcy with them sitting in front of you. I can have an entire petition ready within 30 minutes of meeting with the client. Cons It took a while to get used to how you have to review petitions with Next Chapter. Now that we are used to it, we love it!
