I have been very pleased, whenever I have had an issue with the website or a question the support team have been great assisting me with my issues promptly or answering any concerns, especially if I have a question that might not be directly related to the website. I find the service from Elcom very helpful.

Pros

I like that it is easy to manage, I can usually figure things out for myself. I can also watch training videos to learn how to do something if I am not sure.

Cons

It's limitation in designing elements with creating them yourself, sometimes I would like to just be able to build a box her or there that might work well for the customer journey.

Elcom are great to work with and their product is awesome. I have used them as a website provider in my last 2 jobs, very different industries and website, however, they deliver, no matter what your requirements.

Pros

Elcom are easy to deal with, they are quick to respond and answer any questions you have without unnecessary jargon. They genuinely want to help you succeed with your new website and have it enhance your business.

Cons

There are some small parts of the CMS such as the naming convention at the folder level and the page level which you need to get used to. Compared to Wordpress which I have used extensively. But, once you've used the Elcom system and spent some time in their it is easy to use.

Pros

The ability to give different users different access permission, customer service is really fast, and the girls are very patient with me!

Cons

Does not have the ability to create your own article templates without customer service assistance or the need to have a new page template design quoted.Not able to reformat or resign how the polls look or have much design freedom for the rating of an article/page feature.

The Elcom team are very professional and worked closely with us to ensure all of our requirements were covered. From design, implementation and to go live, their support and guidance was excellent.The ongoing support we receive from our Account Manager, CMS trainer and the Help Desk team is amazing, they are experienced, friendly and responsive to our needs, all in an extremely timely manner.

Pros

It is a powerful yet simple to use CMS, with customisable modules - so you only pay for what you need, but can grow your CMS with your business when needed. The features are endless and we use many of them: single sign on, forms, structured authoring, workflow, dynamic widgets, taxonomy, carousels banners, corporate directory, events, secure content and the new reports dashboard is great.

Cons

I haven't had any negative experiences with Elcom or the CMS. Integration was easy and the CMS is user-friendly and non technical staff can use it. No negatives from me.

Reasons for choosing Elcom CMS

The cost was important, the functionality and ease of use, basically what you got for your money. The pre-selection discussions, information and demonstrations had a big impact on selection, overall a great experience with Elcom CMS.

Although there have been some challenges to get some functions within the Elcom CMS to work for us, or we have been able to create a work around, dealing with Elcom, in particular the Help Desk, has been excellent. The staff are exceptional - they are knowledgeable, supportive and very patient!

Pros

The Elcom CMS is user friendly, even with no technical background. I find the content management easy to use and a great way to ensure all the required documentation and processes are kept on one platform and have expiry review dates. The workflow content module in theory is a great tool for various activities requiring a workflow content that is transparent and reportable.

Cons

The negative aspect of the Workflow module is the inability to be flexible for different scenarios. The out of the box package is very basic, and we have required additional customization to fit our business needs which I feel should be part of the out of the box package. There is limited flexibility when requiring reporting.

Elcom is very supportive and goes out of their way to assist with our development and ongoing upgrades. The Help Desk support is fast, friendly and knowledgeable.   Since launch, we have worked with Elcom to solve a number of business problems, such as coming up with ways to reduce the number of broadcast emails and creating specialised hubs for specific communication and knowledge bases. This has resulted in time savings, strengthening our team engagement and creating a more supportive and positive culture for our people.

Pros

The stylish and simple design has made our site eye-catching and easy to use. Elcom provided a great design to ensure our intranet quickly became the go-to resource and core of our Digital Workplace Experience.

Cons

Elcom offers an extensive range of software features to enhance our site and keeping our publishers trained in all aspects of the software can be challenging in an organisation with a small digital workplace team.
