The product seems very mature in terms or everyday usage. UI is significantly faster than our previous solution.

Pros

Very easy to sue compared to the competition. It was a fairly smooth ride from setup to the GUI access. There is an option or a solution for almost anything related to device management and customization. We were able to implement the whole solution with minimal training. Not a steep learning curve at all.

Cons

So far I haven't found anything major that could affect the decision of replacing our existing network monitoring solution with Opmanager.

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager was a mix of strong functionality and some frustrating limitations.

Pros

The standout feature of ManageEngine OpManager is its ability to provide comprehensive, real-time network and server monitoring with proactive fault detection and easy-to-use dashboards, making it especially valuable for IT teams managing complex hybrid environments.

Cons

The least liked aspects of ManageEngine OpManager are its complex setup, limited cloud support, confusing pricing, and performance slowdowns on very large networks. These drawbacks make it harder for IT teams to scale or deploy quickly despite its strong monitoring capabilities.

Switched from

[Office Chat](https://www.capterra.com/p/226272/Office-Chat/)

The dashboard in ManageEngine OpManager is not considered “critical” because it mainly serves as a visual layer for monitoring rather than being the engine that drives alerts, fault detection, or automated actions. The real value lies in OpManager’s monitoring, fault management, and scalability features, while dashboards are more about convenience and presentation.

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been excellent. It is a reliable and feature-rich monitoring solution that provides comprehensive visibility across our network and IT infrastructure. The platform is easy to use, highly configurable, and helps streamline monitoring and incident response processes. In addition, the ManageEngine roadshows and product sessions have been informative and valuable, providing useful insights into new features, best practices, and the future direction of the platform. I would highly recommend OpManager to organizations looking for a robust infrastructure monitoring solution.

Pros

ManageEngine OpManager provides excellent visibility into our IT infrastructure through a centralized and intuitive dashboard. The SNMP monitoring capabilities, asset management, and device monitoring features make it easy to proactively identify and address issues before they impact users. The platform is highly customizable, easy to configure, and offers valuable insights that help improve operational efficiency and uptime.

Cons

Overall, my experience has been very positive. One area that could be enhanced further is the integration of more advanced AI-driven capabilities for predictive analytics, root cause analysis, and actionable insights. While the current monitoring and reporting features are strong, additional AI functionality could help administrators identify trends and potential issues even faster. It is encouraging to see that these capabilities are being introduced with OpManager Nexus.

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been very positive. I am working on this product as well to enhanced better monitoring. OpManager has proven to be a valuable tool for improving network visibility, reducing downtime, and streamlining IT operations.

Pros

ManageEngine OpManager is its comprehensive monitoring tool, which provides real-time visibility into network devices, servers, applications, and virtual environments through a centralized dashboard. We can create customizable dashboards and reporting as per our requirements in this product. Additionally, the intuitive interface and scalable architecture make it suitable for both small and large IT environments.

Cons

Some advanced features and integrations may require separate modules or additional licensing, which can increase overall costs for organizations with more complex monitoring requirements.

Overall the experience is good. As we only use a subset of features it would be good to be able to turn off alot of things to make the ineterface less cluttered

Pros

Mapping Of Sites is really good to be able to view physical topology of site and see in real time broken links

Cons

the mapping feature could use some work to make it look a bit more professional. Icons for devices need updating or the ability to have your own icons. Navigation of map is a bit clumsy.

It was very easy to setup and configure all the componets. Alerts were easy to setup up. We have the business view maps displayed on a 15" TV in the office.

Pros

Opmanager overall does what I need it to do. For the price the software can do so much. It is not just a monitoring tool. We have Opmanager intergrated with Servicedesk Plus and Log360. We can get an email for just about any alert.

Cons

I guess the only thing I would chang is the interface could be updated but I am more concerened with what OpManager can do and the price.

Reasons for choosing ManageEngine OpManager

Price was tripple the amount and that was for fewer options.

Very positive so far. Allows for small teams with minimal knowledge of the infrastructure to take a view on the health of it.

Pros

It has provided us with much more Visibility and alerting on the state of our Infrastructure than we previously had and in so doing has proved it's worth

Cons

It took quite a bit of configuration and fine tuning of alerting which we had to lean on a 3rd party to assist us with
