One of the best features is the ability to seamlessly manage both personal and team projects on a single platform. The interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy to organize tasks, set deadlines, and assign responsibilities. Collaboration is made easier thanks to the integrated chat and the ability to leave comments and reactions on tasks. Additionally, the time tracking feature is excellent for monitoring project progress and ensuring that deadlines are met. Overall, Freelo simplifies the project management process, making it an indispensable tool for teams and individuals alike. Cons While Freelo is generally a powerful tool, there are a few aspects that could be improved. For instance, you can create subtasks from a subtask, but currently, it's not possible to assign a deadline to them, even though you can assign them to a user. This can lead to these subtasks not appearing on the user’s dashboard, which might cause them to be overlooked. Additionally, it would be beneficial if task creators had more control, as currently, anyone can close or finish a task, which could sometimes lead to unintentional closures. A particularly useful feature is the "out of office" option, which helps ensure that no one is assigned tasks during their absence. However, it would be even better if this feature prevented assigning deadlines to someone who has marked themselves as out of office, and provided a clearer notification when leaving a task for someone on leave. In terms of communication, while the chat feature is handy, it would be even better if you could see who has read your comments. It allows to personalise quite a few things, like the dashboard. It's not too complicated to use. The whole system including support is also in Czech language. I am still learning to use all the features and it is sometimes a bit unintuitive but it's the best software to organise large teams that I have ever worked with. Pros Freelo is very robust system, it has many options and ways to organise tasks and communicate about them with the team. The basic features are straight forward and you can start using it after just a few minutes. Implementing Freelo as the main task manager in our team was quick and easy. Cons You have to learn a lot to use Freelo efficiently. If you need to create a lot of tasks and subtasks, it takes a lot of time. You can add multiple tasks at once but, I haven't found a way to efficiently copy and paste them to an existing task. This is crucial for me, as I lead a team of social media admins and for example the process of creating a tiktok video is the same every time. July 11, 2024 5.0 It is very intuitive and easy to use, most of the team members understood the software very quickly and were able to use its functions without previous practice. It is clear and straightforward. It enables you to create multiple projects, divide each project into individual sections and assign different roles. Each task can be assigned to a specific person, you can set deadlines, priorities and even relations to another task, very nice tool, especially if you have many concomitant tasks and need to see, which ones cannot be completed without other tasks being completed first and even view it on a timescale. You can upload documents or photos or write comments, so basically, apart from very thorough to-do list, it combines features like document cloud, e-mail or "Facebook". Our team personally organizes various events for students and the public, one of our biggest being representative ball which needs many months of preparation and various teams so collaboration and flow can be tricky, however since we went for Freelo, everything became much more organized and smooth. We use it regularly for other projects, that take place throughout the year and it actually made our jobs easier. Pros Assigning different tasks to different people, being able to see everything related in one place including deadlines, responsible persons and relations while keeping it very clear and organized. Cons No issues so far. Freelo gives us what we need without making it complicated. Freelo has many features depends on which package you choose to use, we started with Team and finally transformed to Business which features we really enjoy... but for several years we've been perfectly happy with the Team package, which gives you everything you need to get started. Once I started using Freelo, I hoped I had found it earlier! Pros It has all I need for a project management of web development that allows me to have an overview of what needs to be done, track time I spent on each task and later know how much I should invoice. It helps me to keep track of budget so that I always know how much is left when a budget is tight and leads to overall better management of what needs to be done. I can also invite clients to see what I'm working on. Cons Honestly, there isn't much I would change. Perhaps only better calendar view when I have many tasks for each day would be better but to accomplish my tasks it has all I need.
