CEO Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Ridiculously Cheap Insurance - Don't use QBO without it!" December 8, 2021 5.0 I am fortunate to never have needed to ask Rewind to restore data for me, so my interaction with the service has been limited to setting up my books and those of clients and forgetting about it. That's just how I like it, and I have absolutely no complaints about ease of use, functionality, or pricing. Pros I have heard horror stories of catastrophic data loss or corruption in QBO. The ability for Intuit to restore a prior version is questionable at best, and from what I hear it takes many hours on the phone and a lot of persistence if it happens at all. Then, you have to re-do all of the work that was done between the restore point (if you are lucky enough for Intuit to find one for you) and when the loss occurred. Rewind avoids the need for this stress by providing regular backups of your QBO data, and I am told that restoring data to a given point in time is ludicrously easy (fortunately I have never had to test this). Cons Absolutely nothing. The software is affordable, easy to use, and fills an essential role that would otherwise go unmet. Review Source DB David B. Owner Accounting Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great backup solution for accounting firms" October 1, 2025 5.0 Overall our experience has been very positive. We have only used the Quickbooks online integration but it was painless to setup and works very well. I would recommend this software to anyone. Pros We are an accounting firm and use Rewind for a backup solution for a portion of our Quickbooks online clients. The ability to download a physical copy of the backups and to rollback changes that we have made has been nothing short of amazing. Overall, a great value for the price. Cons If I had to pick one thing I dislike about the software it is the user management interface. They do not make it easy to find the place to add more clients. August 10, 2024 1.0 Bad. Look elsewhere. Deceptive. Not good. Pros The software did not do what I needed it to. That is not my issue. It may work well for others. Cons After uninstalling their software, they continue to bill me. There is no obvious cancel button under my account settings and QB indicates that it has been more than 75 days since it was installed preventing me from leaving this review on the Quickbooks marketplace. April 7, 2022 4.0 Rewind is a very important software for our work because it makes it easier for us to support the information that is handled day by day at a business level and allows us to go back in the face of changes that are not to our liking, this saves us from having to start again or continue with something that does not please us. In addition to cyber attacks that are very common today, I can quickly recover my information. Pros I like that Rewind offers an excellent rewind function, because when a change was made and it was not to my liking I can return it without having to start my work. Its creation of backup copies is reliable and fast, it helps save time and not have to worry about spending hours backing up the information, on the contrary, I only have to configure when I want this process to be carried out and it will be done automatically. Rewind It is a lightweight software, with an organized and easy to use interface, but its strong point also lies in the fact that it has an encryption function that gives us security and prevents threats that put the information we have backed up at risk. Cons Sometimes your server can be a bit slow, so the process of backing up data in the cloud can take a while. In addition, your conversion time of some inappropriate change may take a while, but I am sure that they are observations that can be improved. Review Source Matthew A. Pros Rewind backs up my Trello account daily. That ensures if I mistakenly delete something or my account is compromised that I can recover my data. April 7, 2022 5.0 I downloaded the app onto my ecommerce store and set up automatic monthly payments (my plan is only $5 per month.) That took about 5 minutes. That's it. Rewind does a weekly backup of my entire store every week. They back up customers, orders, images and products. (I have over 900 products on my store.) Rewind is probably the easiest part of my whole job. Pros I literally don't do anything. I glance over the email report I get weekly. This app is fantastic. Cons No cons. June 27, 2018 5.0 Great way to restore your site inventory, pages, whatever Pros I totally biffed my site, and with this tool I was able to restore it to the chosen day and time, removing all my screw ups! Very easy to navigate and use. Critical for small business' managing their own sites. Cons It does take a long time to restore, so there is a lag from whatever you messed up to getting it back to parody. Setting it to run overnight though is great, no manual processing needed.
