April 6, 2018 4.0 Perform the cleaning and filtering of my mail automatically, with a reliable tool that is not the one that sends junk mail, if not maintain a general cleaning in the inbox Pros I always use my email for different things such as software downloads and free tests for some proprietary software, but this causes my inbox to fill with incalculable amounts of junk mail (maybe I exaggerate a bit, but it's a lot) that's where SpamBully comes in, this application is responsible for keeping your mail clean and free of junk mail, has very good settings where you can create rules according to the mail or the emails that you want to filter and those that do not, you can add keywords or who sends them, very complete in many senses Cons Acutally in the market there are many alternatives that are free, although they may not offer such a complete service but the fact that you do not have to pay makes it very tentative and can be a negative point for spamBully Review Source Luis C. Pros This application perfectly fulfills the task of keeping your mail clean and free of spam, does it effectively and has tools to do it to your liking and the rules of truth are met, not the case of other services where you create the rules but they skip, no, here they are fulfilled, making your mail always stay clean and free of garbage, use it and enjoy a clean and nice inbox to check and read. Cons The tool allows you a trial version that you can use completely in a single mail, this is a limitation today that one handles at least two accounts, to handle those two you should pay, you can say that it is your disadvantage but the service is very good. " November 5, 2020 2.0 This was my first choice to replace SpamBayes which after years of using I had to leave behind. Spam bully is recommended on the website. I had trouble installing it but was able to work around the issues myself. I had problems configuring it and did not get great help from the developer. Once I got it running and configured, as long as I did not attempt any changes to any configuration items on outlook, it did a very effective job of dealing with my spam. I really would rather not be looking for another filter. However, in my opinion this is a product that was good and has now been relegated to someone collecting on the long tail of residual purchases. Pros () It uses a bayesian filter. It learns from your input. () When it works, it works well! () When it works it is easy to train and review unsure emails, etc. Cons I'm writing this review because I just lost a few hours to crashes after adding another account to my outlook client. () The product has some basic usability problems (bugs). () The product is not actively being developed so those bugs won't be fixed anytime soon. The usability problems that got in my way were around the designation of the target folders. You cannot change the folders. If you do, the default folders will be created and used anyway. You also cannot set the filters outside of the same pst file. It will let you make the selection but will reset it after the next restart. It seems like a small problem, but support was not responsive, and I had to use an additional product to work around this so that I can collect my spam and unsure emails in one place to review. I also purchased spamfighter which I used for several months on my work PC before moving both platforms to SpamBully and dropping spamfighter based on ease-of-use in identifying and reviewing unsure and spam items. " May 8, 2018 4.0 In the tests I have done on individual computers, the percentage of spam mails has been reduced compared to other filters that use different filtering techniques based on word filtering or SMTP dialog analysis. Pros It is a very good filtering tool, which through the use of Bayesian filters has allowed me to minimize the amount of spam mails that arrive on my PC. It has given me better results than those obtained when I have done tests with similar tools such as: Spam Attack Pro, or Spamkiller, for example. Cons Like all anti-spam filters, it is only a palliative, and not a decisive solution to the problem represented by spams. I observed that one disadvantage of its use (when it is free of charge), is that its use is limited to a single email account, after which it must be paid for the service. On the other hand, being based on Bayesian methods and techniques makes its filtration rate high for individual users, but decreases when it is installed on servers. I am greatly disappointed in the program and I'm sorry I purchased it. I emailed Spambully support and never heard from them. I'll have to start looking for a replacement. Pros Easy to set up. Separate folder for "Unsure" Cons No matter how many times I mark them as "Spam" certain emails continue to end up in my inbox. The email address is already in my Allow list.
