### "My Canva experience"

March 10, 2026

4.0

its a good software especially where you need work done quickly and immediately for sharing. i mostly use it in church media team and we project immediate results after design

Pros

it is easy to use with readily available templates. the navigation options and the different measurements of sizes that are in the system make it quick for a user to find what they need

Cons

you can not do advanced features like deep manipulation of work. In a situation where you want to add advanced effects like we do in photoshop it is limited

### "Best Product Out There"

March 26, 2026

5.0

I rarely encounter issues with getting Canva to do what I want it to, and sometimes it's a big ask as far as capabilities.

Pros

Canva is the ultimate design product for social media, in house document creation and printing. I am amazed at how many new features they have added in the last month.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about the program, it has stolen the market from the MS product I used to use.

Switched from

Canva has so many capabilities and constantly updates while MS Publisher took years to update features and it was never much of an upgrade for buying the latest version of the program.

### "I'm done with it"

March 11, 2026

2.0

I subscribe to Canva Pro. I (try to) use it to edit product photos. That can include removing or replacing backgrounds, cropping or resizing, or using AI to make small adjustments to correct for photo imperfections. I have used it for two years now. Every upgrade has made the product more difficult to use.

Pros

Canva has some decent features. The AI is pretty good. I appreciate the details Canva provides for images.

Cons

Canva is entirely too complex. It makes the simplest tasks (like cropping an image) nearly impossible to do well. You can crop, but you can't see the dimensions as you're doing the crop, and in some cases, Canva creates another layer behind the image that is the same as the UNCROPPED image, and doesn't provide any option to remove that new layer. The images are often not updated on Canva's screens unless you restart Canva. The navigation is ridiculous. Pictures show outside of their projects or folders, with no indication of their "home". There are very few options for users to set their own defaults, no way to record actions so that you can run them against more than one image. As of today (March 2026), Canva's "Erase Background" replaces the background with white. You have to actually download a png image in order to make it transparent.

### "Best All-in-One Design Tool for Freelancers and Editors"

March 26, 2026

5.0

The mobile application can feel a bit sluggish when working with high-resolution video files or complex animations. Additionally, many of the premium elements and advanced export settings are restricted to the Pro version, which might be a bit costly for someone just starting out.

Pros

Canva’s drag-and-drop interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to create professional-looking social media graphics and YouTube thumbnails in minutes. The vast library of pre-made templates and high-quality stock elements saves a lot of time. I especially like the "Magic Studio" AI features, which allow for quick background removal and image adjustments without needing complex software.

### "Design Made Easy"

March 1, 2026

5.0

I make all of my slide decks in Canva and have even used it for video editing, in addition to all of the social media graphics, photo editing, fliers, business cards, and invitations I've used it for.

Pros

Canva really does make it super easy to design pretty much anything you could think of, both digital and physical. They've also made a lot of improvements over the years to make it even easier to fine-tune designs, and there are seemingly limitless high-quality templates available to make designing super simple.

Cons

I have a personal Canva account and have also been added as a member on other business accounts. Canva makes it easy to switch between profiles without having to log out, but it's not always easy to see which profile you are viewing a design from. And when I open a link to a shared design, Canva doesn't let me select which account I want to view the shared design from. This means that I have opened designs in the wrong account at times, and it was incredibly difficult to share the design with a different account. I ended up having to ask the sender to reshare the link so I could try opening it from a different account.

### "Canva for the Non-Designer"

March 27, 2026

5.0

Canva is a great tool for those who are not naturally designers or artistic. While many of the best features are paid, there are still a plethora of templates that can be customized to suit each brand.

Pros

As a non-designer, Canva simplifies the entire process of generating social media posts, invitations, etc. The number of templates already pre-loaded into the program make designing work less intimidating but also provides the ability to customize those templates based on brand colours or preference. In addition to customizing layout, the built-in ability to upload logos, photos, and icons allows for further personalization of each template. The ability to export the design in multiple formats is very helpful.

Cons

Unfortunately, the cost of Canva can be quite intimidating for a smaller business. Many of the most unique templates do require a subscription and the same applies to many of the most unique icons, fonts, etc. The only other con is that internet required to generate designs.

### "Easy Peasy Design Software"

5.0

My experience has been really good with canva. It has allowed me to design all of the graphics we need for the org and not have to out source to someone else. Has saved us 1000's every year.

Pros

I like that it's free to use for anyone and you can use it anywhere with an internet connection. It has a lot of great features even some better than Adobe design software. I like that multiple people can collobaorate on a design instead of sending emails back an forth they can just log in make edits or leave notes. I love that as a nonprofit we get the pro version for free. It has really helped us elevate our designs

Cons

I don't have many cons and they are very small. I wish we had more options with text in editing the text or importing custom fonts. It would be awesome to be able to type allong a line or shape like you can in photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Canva is essential for my business, home and homeschool projects. Everything I’ve ever needed to create I’ve been able to do so easily with Canva. Great selection of editing tools and features! Love all the included preset designs and graphics.

Pros

I loved the different editing tools and preset designs. Being able to choose a specific project style (banner, flyer, sign, brochure, etc) allowed for easy formatting.

Cons

Some of the tools and features lack clear instructions on how to use them so there was a lot of trial and error and looking up how to videos.

Overall a great deisgn software and so much more intuitive to use than Adobe if you starting in design.

Pros

Love the ease of use. Coming from an avanced level of Adobe suite use, I must say I am impressed. It has it's limitations but for most applications it is sufficient and much faster for new team members to use and get cracking. Ai also likes that I was givnen a long-enough trila and even offered another free trial to get a newbee team member try it out , play around before comitting

Cons

### "Review on Canva"

December 19, 2025

4.0

All love the fact I started with the software and still day am still enjoying their services, I highly recommend this to any designer both starter or expert.

Pros

Being a user of canva for some year now and I love the fact that is can be used both on laptop and phone, due to the nature of my work I tend to need a design or logo design for a brand with Canva I could create a logo within mins at the same spot with my phone, canva provide all necessary template and element needed in creating a successful logo or design. This is a software that really helps in save time and hassle for graphic design, and also I really good value of money with the Canva pro you have access to more features and element.

Cons

At the beginning when I started it's was a bit complex and confusing but with time and constantly used, you will get the hands of it and make used of the best it have to offer

### "Canva for the save"

December 4, 2025

5.0

This is a project I use weekly in my business. It makes a huge impact but you need to purchase the full version for you to see it make sense.

Pros

The simplicity of the software and the absolute usability for new users. It doesn't matter if you are editing an ad for marketing or a social media post. This is something that anyone can use. I love that my team can interact with the same content and collaborate on one project. The features seem endless and the AI is really great. As I stated, the User Interface is top notch.

Cons

Sometimes it can be hard to find the content I have been working on my phone in the online version. I think the navigation in that stance could be refined.

Pros

### "Awesome for basic creative design"

October 9, 2025

5.0

Canva has been one of the most intuitive creative tools I've used so far, after being a dedicated Adobe Illustrator fan. Overall I'm very happy with Canva, and start off using it over any other tool because of how easy it is to use and the simplicity of its features.

Pros

I start with Canva for every graphic/social media post, because it's easy to use and I've been able to create basic graphics much quicker than before. My particularly favourite feature is the "Copy Style" button, makes everything easier being able to apply a previously applied style to a new element! And video editing has been great so far, especially for caption design - we've been happy with the stylization Canva offers. I know the paid versions would be wonderful but to be honest I've been very happy with the free version with what I've needed it for so far.

Cons

My least favourite part to Canva is how premium/paid elements, templates, etc. are shown in search results, and feel like they dominate results. So much so that if they removed premium elements from those who have free accounts, it wouldn't offer much at all in that regard. It can be challenging to wade through to find quality items mixed with all of the premium elements.

Switched from

[Adobe Illustrator](https://www.capterra.com/p/227125/Adobe-Illustrator/)

I rarely open Illustrator now for the creatives I produce, because Canva has been much quicker for the simple graphics I work on regularly.

### "Best product in the 2000s"

October 14, 2025

5.0

I love it and it has made me love graphic design and figuring out how to be better and make documents that wow others and even myself.

Pros

Canva has made it easy for anyone to create an amazing document. Although there is still a learning curve with the program, it does not take long to figure out how to use it correctly. The software is great, straight forward, clean and precise.

Cons

I wish there was an AI bot that could help you along the way. Or customer service that is always available and straight to the point with fixes. No riff raff, no confirming your the account owner. If you’re editing it, you’re allowed to get help on the fly with things. For example, randomly there were some items that could not be grouped together and it would have been great to figure that out with someone. I think they need a way to warp and change text. Not too crazy but simple movements of the text to make it their own. Lastly, they need to showcase their different ways of making things. I always see how tos but it’s hard to execute on your own, but if you had step-by-step within the project, people were making, it would be awesome

Overall, my experience with Canva was really positive. It made designing quick and enjoyable, and even when I needed something more detailed, it still handled most of what I needed. It’s a reliable tool for creating clean, professional visuals without the hassle.

Pros

I liked how easy and intuitive Canva is to use. The drag-and-drop tools, templates, and graphics make designing fast and stress-free, even without any design experience. It’s great for creating professional-looking content in minutes.

### "Powerful and Versatile Design Tool for Teams and Exhibits"

April 5, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with Canva has been very positive. The platform is intuitive and versatile, making it easy to create professional-quality graphics for social media, marketing, and even our museum exhibits. The paid version provides access to a vast library of templates, graphics, and advanced features, which has been invaluable for both design and team collaboration. While there are some limitations, such as challenges with TIFF files, the mobile version, and occasional video editing issues, these are relatively minor compared to the benefits. Canva has become an essential tool for our organization, streamlining our creative workflow and helping us maintain a consistent, visually appealing presence across platforms.

Pros

What I like most about Canva is how easy it is to use, even for someone with little design experience. The drag-and-drop interface, combined with their extensive library of templates, photos, icons, and fonts, makes creating professional-looking graphics simple and quick. We especially use Canva’s graphics for building our exhibits, which helps us create engaging, visually appealing displays. I also appreciated Canva’s Content Planner for social media, which allows us to schedule posts directly to platforms like Instagram, and Facebook, The calendar view makes it easy to plan and organize content, helping us maintain a consistent posting schedule. Collaboration is seamless, as team members can edit designs in real time and access shared brand kits. Overall, Canva is intuitive, versatile, and a great tool for both individuals and teams.

Cons

Even with the paid version, Canva has a few limitations. Working with certain file types, like TIFF, can be challenging, as they aren’t fully supported for editing or exporting. The mobile version is not ideal, as some tools and features are harder to use or less intuitive compared to the desktop version. There have also been occasional issues with video editing and posting, which can make creating multimedia content more time-consuming. Additionally, complex design adjustments can still be tricky, and occasional formatting issues may occur when resizing or layering elements.

### "Powerful Design Tool That Makes Creating Graphics Easy"

March 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, Canva has been a very helpful and reliable design tool. It saves a lot of time when creating marketing materials, social media posts, and presentations. The templates and design elements make it easy to produce professional-looking graphics quickly, even without advanced design skills. It’s a great platform for individuals, small businesses, and teams who need high-quality designs without complicated software.

Pros

Canva makes designing extremely easy, even for people with little to no design experience. The drag-and-drop interface is very intuitive, and the large library of templates, fonts, graphics, and photos makes it simple to create professional-looking designs quickly. It’s especially helpful for social media graphics, presentations, marketing materials, and quick branding projects. I also like that it’s cloud-based, so projects can be accessed and edited from anywhere.

Cons

Some of the best templates, graphics, and features are locked behind the Pro subscription, which can be limiting for free users. In addition, very detailed or complex designs can sometimes feel restricted compared to more advanced design software. Export settings and file organization could also be improved when managing a lot of projects.

### "The Canva Experience from a HR Perspective"

November 13, 2025

my overall experience is great they have many templates to choose from. I use canva for SOPs Employee handbooks, organizational charts poster and even youtube banners.

Pros

Canva was the first tool that i created my digital products. I love Canva it allowed me to be creative learn to graphic design. I also like that i am now able to give Canva a prompt to create a image for me as long as i give it instructions and i no longer have to spend time looking for what to create in that aspect. The AI feature is great.

Cons

Now with AI generating images that we currently want when we ask and how we want. I think the AI feature needs to be enhanced. Canva can definitely go to the next level if they incorporate better features into their AI. at times the pricing can be unaffordable so i use it when i can and i pay when i can. I use the free feature predominantly.

### "Accessible design software that allows teammates to collaborate and create while staying on-brand"

February 7, 2026

5.0

Canva has been game-changing for our organization. It has given our staff members wide access to design software that they otherwise wouldn't have had. It also has saved our design department time, since we can create templates with Canva that other staff members can use.

Pros

It makes design accessible to non-designers. It allows most people to be able to create digital graphics or single-page flyers, on brand, without knowing complicated software like Photoshop. It allows you to collaborate and share files with others, and see what they are working on while you also work. It also has a wide variety of free assets, like stock photos and icons.

Cons

I wish Canva's free tier would allow users to export a design as a vector (SVG). I believe that Canva should also make their 'Layers' panel more accessible. It would be helpful if they added extra paragraph spacing options, like 'space between paragraphs', and not just leading.

### "Brilliant programme, can't imagine using anything else"

October 19, 2025

5.0

It's a brilliant programme with full customisation and functionality and really easy for most people to use. It's great for designers and non-designers alike as you can choose from designing fresh or using their templates, but don't bother with any of the AI services.

Pros

Canva is super affordable and a great user-friendly option for people who need quality designs but don't have the design skills to use the likes of PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc. It's also great for video editing so a great programme for social media managers and those in marketing who are looking after social accounts and having to make a lot of videos on a regular basis. The templates are brilliant and easy to create quality graphics in no time. However, if you are a professional designer, you can also start from scratch creating whatever you need in any dimensions. It's now my preferred programme to work with designers in as they can create custom graphics for brands inside Canva and then Canva is easy for the clients to use if they need to edit anything in the future. The free version of Canva also comes with so many features. And if you do need the premium features, it's still an affordable subscription.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about Canva is the new AI features are extremely bad. Honestly, they're not worth using at all and I don't know why Canva are pushing so hard for users to use them. They have the collab with ChatGPT where you find Canva features through ChatGPT, and then a generative design service inside Canva. They're both really poor quality, not returning accurate results whatsoever.

I love Canva, I first started using it while in an administrative position but have carried it with me into my own business and career, it’s super versatile, I can make spreadsheets to help with my expenditures, social media posts, and even Christmas cards

Pros

I love the versatility, templates and art aspects, super user friendly a novice can do it, if it was a guitar hero song it would be easy mode. Makes everything look professional and clean

Cons

The resizing and exporting options and that it automatically saves to a zip file, it makes it a little bit harder to streamline if you need to export multiple illustrations etc

5.0

I've been using Canva for four years, and it's dramatically accelerated my workflow. I can quickly create professional posts and videos without needing advanced design skills. It's incredibly easy to use and perfect for someone like me who needs to create content regularly.

Pros

\* very easy to use, even for beginners. \* Great templates for social media, presentations, and videos. \* Saves a lot of time with drag-and-drop editing. \* Good customer support when needed. \* Moderately priced considering its features. \* Very good and professional for photo editing.

Cons

\* Video editing can be somewhat limited for advanced users. \* Integration with WordPress could be more seamless. \*It would be very helpful to improve the publishing process, which could save more time and boost search engine optimization..
