Pros I really enjoy how much you can edit and change things, as well as all of the premade templates available for free to educators, so that instead of starting from scratch, you can customize really professional looking templates. I also find the platform easy to navigate and edit prior projects. Cons I wish there were more free slideshows for educators that fit my needs. I highly recommend it for those new to design and even seasoned designers who want an easier platform that robust design software. It's also great to use with teams. Pros It is a great tool for easy design work. I love how user friendly it is, as well as how everything is stored on my account so I can access my designs from anywhere. It can do almost everything I need it to. Cons It does have some limitations with the editing it can do. I also use Canva for my presentations and it’s good for doing that Cons By using Canva free, I used to use remove.bg to remove my images backgrounds because this feature is only accessible when we pay. Cons Comparing to the new affinity release (owned now by Canva) or any other major design software, the lack of layers means that object transformation, FX or even just moving and arranging can be infuriating. Pros Being able to edit templates and create business announcement flyers are my favorite things about Canva. I was using the free version which was too limited, but since I switched to Pro that solved everything. Cons Canva Free is mostly there to attract users and show them what they can get with a subscription plan. It's not really a con if they still provide quality products even on the free version. I always have a positive experience, try new things, play with ideas easily, and each thing I've made has always worked wonderfully. Pros This is a must go to for teachers. You can easily make awards, study lists, slide presentations with an extra bit of oomph like striking graphics and such. Saved projects can easily be found, copied, reworked for a different idea. You can find templates based on criteria you want to include and eliminate the slides, or pages, that you don't want. The templates are easily adapted to your needs, and often give you great ideas when you weren't sure what you wanted to create. This program goes WAY beyond useful, not just for educators. If you are a creator (Etsy, etc) you can easily design digital products to sell, you can create cut files if you are a cricut or silhouette user. You can design sticker sets to print and cut. You can upload your own images and adjust them to your needs. I often do this to create a geometry test because graphics are otherwise difficult to copy and use in a document. Just upload an create a slide presentation, which you can then download as a pdf in 8.5 x 11 inch form for printing! Amazing!! Need a whiteboard, a spreadsheet, a card??? It's all here!. A new thing I've noticed but haven't tried is it now enables/helps you to design a website! How cool is that?! You can remove a background from a photo you've uploaded, and then let your imagination soar! I could continue to praise this product but you must try it for yourself. It allows you to operate as a one woman team to support wider initiatives very easily, and I really enjoy all the features. It supports you in figuring out different graphic sizes and it helps you edits any preexisting images. I also really enjoy the color features where you can match colors to a graphic. Cons I've never really had major issues with Canva, and when I have, customer support has been amazing. Cons At times the tool requires certain work to be redone or duplicated because shapes and other forms do not translate between pages. Also, when resizing, all elements resize which is often not what is needed when changing aspect or dimensions. Color palettes at time can get mixed up.
