It’s powerful yet simple, packed with useful features (especially the new AI tools), and supported by excellent training resources. It is an outstanding tool that I can’t imagine working without. Pros I’ve been using Canva Pro for many years and it just keeps getting better! The platform is so easy to use, and I love the huge library of templates, images, and design elements. The new AI features are fantastic and make designing even faster and more creative. There are also plenty of training resources available, which makes it simple to learn new tools and improve your skills. Cons The only thing I’d love to see improved is the ability to filter images and videos to find content from the same series — at the moment you can only view other work from the same designer, which isn’t quite the same. I was able to use it for some of my creative projects where I used Teams to quickly share graphic designs with my team. It is great and user-friendly! Pros I like being able to create and build websites. This feature helped me create professional portfolio websites that helped me land projects. It didn’t take me very long to do it, so I created different portfolio sites for each individual job I what I was applying for. I also love their Docs. I used Canva to put together a children’s book I published on Amazon. Cons Some of the AI features are still in the infant stage. There were a lot of hallucinations in the image creation part. I own my own business, and I love that it has saved my projects for me over the years. I can go back and re-use them, and it's an fantastic timeline. I love how it saves your branding information too. And, now you can share designs which is a wonderful feature. Pros Is there anything that Canva can't do? As a designer I love being able to make small to large projects in this wonder, simple to use, but also maximize it's potential product. Cons I love Canva and value how expansive it has become. It really can do everything. But, latelly, I feel like it may be taking on too much -- and providding too many features. Our agency works on websites, branding projects and print marketing pieces. When we complete the work, it's amazing to be able to share the templates and some clear instructions on how to use them. Clients love that they can work inside of an accessible tool and not have to reach out to us for every little update. Pros I like that multiple team members and clients can be within a document at one time. It helps to have an online tool when a large or complex presentation or brochure is being created. Cons As a professional designer, it can be frustrating to have to work within the Canva constraints. It doesn't have color mode control or layout controls in the same ways Adobe products do. If you're creating a document for print, the working color mode is RGB and there aren't clear ways to set page margins, bleeds or automatic page numbering. Pros The perfect simple alternative to photoshop. If you looking to just do graphic creation and simple edits this is the perfect tool. Cons There are many features in photoshop that you think would be simple and available on Canva, but they dont have. Clipping Masks for example would be great to have and also the ability to add overlay / colors onto specific elements only.
