Cons The editing of graphics, I would like to be able to change the colours on more of these and some don't give the option for this. Pros Impressively user-friendly interface, vast template library, and excellent options for full-fledged customization. Canva will easily make graphic design approachable for even the most novice amateurs, but the advanced features found here make it perfect for professionals. Great tool for creative projects! Cons It doesn't cost anything, but the free version is limited because you'll have less access to those premium templates. Sometimes collaboration tools are clunky, but the app sometimes lags behind for complicated designs. I've been able to create so much with it. And even some designers I've hired to make assets for me have used Canva — which is great because I get to own the native file and update the text on it in the future. I think it's very reasonably priced for what you get. Pros What is there NOT to like about Canva? It's great for professional designers AND those of us who need to DIY but aren't pros. Things I love about Canva: - There is a template for EVERYTHING - Every template is customizable - With paid plans, you get access to so many different plugins and assets - I was able to create so many things: invoice banners, email signatures, LinkedIn photo and banner, business cards, social media posts, reports, slides — the list goes on. Canva never lets me down. Whenever I log into Canva to make something, I'm always pleasantly surprised at what I \*can\* do with it. But the main thing I love about Canva is how easy it is to use. Cons The only teeny tiny thing I don't love about Canva is the actual dashboard with all the folders and projects. I still find it not intuitive and messy-looking. I like things organized in folders, but for some reason my dashboard is always flooded with "recent" designs. I have enjoyed it when it works, but have been frustrated when it doesn't do what I want it to do - especially with "blank" documents where I need to do my own layout. Pros I love the vast array of templates available. Cons I really struggle to design something if I want to start from scratch. I wish the design tools were more intuitive. I consider myself very tech savvy, but it's really hard to navigate the tools to get it to do what you want it to do if there's not an existing template. It's also hard to know sometimes why certain features are free and some aren't. Specifically, the inability to resize the page on a free account is particularly annoying. March 11, 2026 4.0 My overall experience is good. I just have to pay extra in order to fully enjoy what Canva has to offer. Pros I like that they have added AI to help design templates. It makes designing and creating more easier. Cons I do not like that they have added all the good templates for Canva Pro only. Before they had more templates and features available whether or not you have Canva Pro. But now they are asking for more money in order to use basic features.
