There are similar tools now that do a lot more for a lower price point. Pros Once you get used to it, it's very easy to use and has a great library to images that can be modified and used to create something completely new. Cons Simple things are hard to find. Liking finding where my folders and uploads are. Everything I have to do this it takes at least 10 minutes to find these buttons when they are such common functions there should be buttons for them easily accessible right from the home page. It’s incredibly useful for both work and personal projects, and it makes designing fast, easy, and fun. Pros I really like the huge variety of templates available with Canva Pro—it makes creating content so quick and easy. I also appreciate the Teams feature because it allows us to collaborate and share designs smoothly with our coworkers. The background remover is another tool I use all the time. I make everything from social media posts to brochures, and Canva has made that whole process so much more efficient. Cons The main downside for me is the price. Canva Pro is really helpful, but it does feel a bit expensive, especially when using it for multiple team members. It made designing very easy for me as I could just choose the one that caters for my graphics need the most. Cons Although, It really isn't the fault of canva but, the dependency on Internet sometimes limits my usage especially when I'm having a network downtime. Having said that, a version that isn't dependent on internet will be a game changer. Pros What I enjoyed the most about Canva os the option of being able to have different theme design for your website platform you just have make suggestions and it will design it for you. The customer support is so awesome because anytime you get stuck they are able to assist you immediately. For example, I was not able to locate my account because I uploaded new information and did not see it in my regular account and I the support was there to direct me well. Also, the image editing is very user friendly and the updates is extremely helpful when you want to see the your drafts and your new changes. The video editing I enjoyed because you can edit and delete or restart. This is very helpful because it allows you to stream and upload the best video to promote your product or business. Cons What I do not like is the limitation on customization when you have to rely on templates for different designs it can get very confusing which has hindered my creative freedom. The download speed for a design created in Canva is very slow not sure if they can fix it. Pros I like everything about Canva slowly they are becoming the finest design company in the world and the way it is evolving with AI is mindblowing. Cons Some of the features like you still can't edit a PDF perfectly in Canva there are some limitations. Also few times I get lost to find how to go home and start a new design and struggle to find my past uploads in it. One important thing is the download speed when ever you create something in canva and you try to download after you finished the speed is very slow and I know it is not the internet problem but something to do with canva as other things are downloading very fast. I would say that some of the word generation tools are a ways out from brining ideas to life in a way that makes visual sense, but it’s improving at a rapid rate. As a graphic designer, I have often found that I am able to create a project from scratch in less time than it would have taken me in Adobe products. I never wanted to like Canva as a graphic designer with a GD degree and background, but I do! It's worth a try! Pros I like how easy it is to have access to all kinds of graphic elements and stock photos. I also like how multiple people can be logged in to the account and we can watch what each other either does in real-time, or can log-in later and see any changes Cons Sometimes Canva is finicky and won't line things up exactly the way I want them. Because it will automatically place things in its own alignment, sometimes it is hard to disrupt that do my own design. I always have a positive experience, try new things, play with ideas easily, and each thing I've made has always worked wonderfully. Pros This is a must go to for teachers. You can easily make awards, study lists, slide presentations with an extra bit of oomph like striking graphics and such. Saved projects can easily be found, copied, reworked for a different idea. You can find templates based on criteria you want to include and eliminate the slides, or pages, that you don't want. The templates are easily adapted to your needs, and often give you great ideas when you weren't sure what you wanted to create. This program goes WAY beyond useful, not just for educators. If you are a creator (Etsy, etc) you can easily design digital products to sell, you can create cut files if you are a cricut or silhouette user. You can design sticker sets to print and cut. You can upload your own images and adjust them to your needs. I often do this to create a geometry test because graphics are otherwise difficult to copy and use in a document. Just upload an create a slide presentation, which you can then download as a pdf in 8.5 x 11 inch form for printing! Amazing!! Need a whiteboard, a spreadsheet, a card??? It's all here!. A new thing I've noticed but haven't tried is it now enables/helps you to design a website! How cool is that?! You can remove a background from a photo you've uploaded, and then let your imagination soar! I could continue to praise this product but you must try it for yourself. Cons In a perfect world everything would be free (but honestly, most of it is). I use an educator account, but when I am retired I don't know what I will do. I like that i can create flyers for work and the different personal social media posts I can make with Canva. Going to a pro account really makes a difference. Pros I love that there are different kinds of documents you can create. The features are simple to use for the most part. I like the discounts they provide to non-profit companies. I love the background eraser feature and the templates. Cons I think i wish there were more options for non pro users available. For example, maybe adding a video add for every time a non pro user tries to use a pro feature so that they can also experience it. I think adding discounts for students or special holidays will be nice as well. I think the background eraser needs a little more work so that it grabs the desire object or create an object eraser feature.
