Where do I even start on the ways Canva has helped me and the company I work for. It's truly my favorite software out there and it only keeps getting better! As someone who has knowledge on Video and Image editing, I'm blown away on how easy and quick it is to make things in Canva, that used to take me days! Cons Sometimes I post videos with music from Canva, and the social media platform will take it down for copyright and I just wish it was a bit easier to use Canva's music without having to prove I'm allowed use it. Cons I think the import feature canva is missing is object selection. Canva is my go to software when I need to get something done quickly but it needs to look clean, crisp and professional. I could go on and on about Canva but to put it simply, if you need to create GREAT marketing material or even if you just want to make something that looks nice just because, this is what you should use! Pros Canva is such an easy product to use and anyone can do it. I'm talking ages 6 years old to 99 years old can figure out how to create something awesome and super professional. I love the layout of Canva and how quickly you can find what you are looking for in the search function. If you are looking for a specific shape graphic to add onto your design, all you have to do is type it in. I also love all of the templates that are offered and that can help spark your creative thinking, especially if you're stuck and can't come up with an idea! Cons There's nothing bad I can say about Canva at all. They even have a mobile app which I use constantly for our social media page! I have used it for my resume and helped others add a little pop of design to theirs as well when I used to be a volunteer in AIESEC. I guess people who know how to use illustrator can create similar desgins but once again I'm not a designer and do not know how to use those softwares. Canva just makes this fun and easy! I have made invitations for birthdays and themed parties for my family. As an intern I used to create Instagram and Facebook posts through this software. I also used it to create a Flowchart for submitting orders. I have never used the Pro version nor paid for the images with a cost. I manage to use what is available, they have enough tools and designs. Everything is customizable, once you see how other templates are made, you can make your owns following the same ideas. Pros I've never had a design class, color theory or anything necessary to make a good design. This website has a large template catalog that makes it the easiest way to produce any type of file. Even if you are not sure which one to pick, you can save each idea and make a new one with a different template. Sometimes I choose the design from one template and twist it by adding elements of another one. It allows you to add your own images which make it much more customizable. Cons Some templates have images that have a cost. This has not been a problem because you can select the template and change the image for one of yours or a color and that will keep it free. There is also a Pro version for a cost that gives you access to all these options, resizing and more download options. I haven't needed any of this. This app literally makes exquisite and quality design accessible to everyone, no matter the field of work you find yourself in. I can confidently say now that my days of going out to print expensive t-shirt designs, logos, business cards and flyers are long over. With Canva, I get to do all these within just minutes. Definitely can't beat that! Pros Canva has been an absolute rock since I first entered into the graphic design domain. With the help of just this software, I've been able to generate quite a stable amount of income from graphic design works I produce for clients using templates from Canva, sometimes only having to change just the wording aspect. I don't think there's any other app that can do this for me. I had to subscribe to the Pro version after just a couple of months since it was really doing wonders for me. Definitely gonna recommend this app if you want fantastic and quality designs. With Canva, you wouldn't need to pay designers to create flyers or designs for your business anymore, trust me! Canva offers thousands of templates for resume, YouTube Thumbnails, Facebook Ads, Presentation, LinkedIn header e.t.c. Their templates are all in high quality making it easy for my brand to standout. All these templates are perfectly sized according to the app their are made for. Another feature I like the most about Canva is that you can invite your team to view your design online and make edits when necessary by sharing a design link with them. Upload your own files from your device and edit them easily. Canva also offers social share buttons, so no hassle when it comes to sharing your work on social media platforms or even your website since they also give you embed code. The premium version need to be bought for full use of the templates as many good ones will be blocked. Cons Cropping image tool can be modified and selecting multiple images is a hassle.
