For starters, the free version offers a lot of content, designs, images, etc. I haven't seen anything like it. It's layout and interface is clean, consistent, and friendly to use. It's easy to navigate and you learn quickly how to use the site or app. Canva offers hundreds, maybe even thousands, of pretreated, yet customizable layouts that can be used on all sorts of social media platforms or projects (infographics, graphics, cards, resumes, menus, posters, picture collages, invitations, etc.). There are hundreds of relevant font styles, and with such a wide variety, you will definitely find what you're looking for or something that fits the project. If you pay a little, you have access to even more images, layouts, and a team cloud-based storage so that all team members can collaborate on projects -great feature! Last, your work is saved automatically in the cloud and can be downloaded as .png, .pdf, or jpeg (and maybe even more?). Cons I'm a big fan, but it would be great if they could offer animations, GIFs, or the ability to embed videos. Can access anywhere and transfer designs easily to any platform for use or print. Premium version is definitely recommended and affordable for any company or individual looking for a program that offers a variety of use. Company seems to continually improve product and services with new options, images, and designs. Highly recommend! Pros Multiple features and functions. Can create a variety of print and digital media from Facebook posts to printed flyers and postcards. Large selection of details, photos, and fonts to use... in both Free & Premium versions. Easy to use with your own images and templates, easy to customize and use again. Transfers easily from online platform to computer to print shops. Great to use for personal fun, but also a great product for small businesses! Not a bad price either! Cons There are some user interfaces and functions that could be improved upon. Hard to find ways to adjust small details while in the design; cannot adjust individual colors within stickers or fonts, hard to resize the design template unless selected previously, and difficult to manipulate sizes for photos and backgrounds. There are lots of options in the Free version, but for most items you will need the Premium version to get more. Do not be fooled... this is not a replacement for more advanced software programs such as Photoshop or InDesign, but works beyond limited/basic needs for print and digital media. Reason for choosing Canva More affordable. Did not need the extensive options/capabilities provided by InDesign and Photoshop. Was looking for a product that took us beyond the basic PAINT options. Pros canva is a huge app with vibrant templates for making poster images editing, and generating new designs, I always used canva for designing festival celebration posters for my company, its customization for different festivals and different font designs are increadble and catchy. Cons there are features which are seriously needed to improve 1st problem with watermark it will come in your result which is disappointing also you cannot get the original edited image you need to pay for it, so sometimes we need to take a screenshot but results are not good as original image results. Pros Canva is very powerful and I really love it and can't do anything without it. March 12, 2021 5.0 My overall experience with Canva has been amazing! Its ease of use would be the most beneficial thing, its completely user friendly, anyone can do it! It has impacted my clinic's social media pages (Instagram, Facebook etc.) astronomically. I will also mention Canvas's customer service is exceptional! One time I uploaded a picture that wasn't the best quality and instead of printing it out and shipping it to me they e-mailed me to check and make sure I was still wanting it sent in the condition that it was in! I was aware it was bad quality but I love how they checked in and didn't just assume! Overall, 10/10 experience with Canva on all levels. Pros The main feature that I love in Canva would be all of the templates! There are thousands to choose from, which can all be customizable to your preferred color scheme, and size depending on where or what you are posting/creating! I also like how you can create something and also have it printed and shipped to you (ex. business cards, flyers, cards w/ envelopes) It is extremely decently priced for what you receive and you know it will be good quality because its coming directly from Canva! There are endless options for creating which is what makes Canva so great! Some other key features would be, adding team members to your account so they can create too! updating to Canva pro to get even more features, and the availability of not just picture templates but VIDEO templates. Pros I've been using Canva for over two years now to create all of my graphics. I can't imagine working without it-it's just too good! Their team is constantly updating it with new features and the quality of their work is so top notch. I don't know where I would be without this app, it has completely changed the way that I design everything! Cons Canva is a great design app for creating, editing and sharing graphic designs. I've been using it for over a year now, and I am really impressed. The interface is so easy to use, and it has helped me avoid many hours in front of my computer creating graphics from scratch. You started from a template to create a printed invitation, then resize it to a web banner and then to a flyer and then to a post with animation. It can take time to master it, but you always get some interesting results from the very beginning. Pros Many templates for all situations, from business card to flyer, from CD cover to banner, from social network post to cover page of social page, from web banners to posters... if you don't find the right size than create your custom page!! I have subscribed to the pro version that allows to resize any template and helps me save time. When you need printed documents, Canva will do it at convenient rate (never tried). You can't save a file locally in Canva's format, that stays in the cloud. You can export in pdf (hi or low resolution), jpg and png with transparent background (paid plan). You can also export animations and videos for social networks. Very interesting: share a document with other users who can edit. Many fonts available, actually to many. Many icons, images and drawings available to resize or crop. Cons If you have used any paint/drawing software, you need to forget all! You need to start from an existing template and then edit it, that's Canva's philosophy. Finding the right template can take longer then editing, when you have the paid version you ignore the destination they suggest (post, invitation, advert...) because you can easily resize it. Subscribe with the monthly plan and probably you get a good offer for the annual plan. You can't count on support, there are guides in the help section and usually you find explanations on youtube and other sites. We use it on almost a daily basis and I can't imagine managing our branding needs without it. Pros Canva is a robust software with very few limitations when it comes to creating brand content. Between the thousands of customizable templates or the option to create your own designs from scratch, our company has been able to create beautiful social media content with ease. The ability to resize content for each social media platform within the app without having to recreate your design is awesome. It supports multiple media formats, which has allowed us to integrate video and TV presentations into our office. I also love that it's cloud-based, which makes it easy to manage multiple projects on multiple devices at once and pick up where you left off without having to worry about losing any progress. Cons The image and video editing options are limited, so we still utilize Adobe software for those needs. If you are looking for speed and ease to do a job that ends with an excellent result, Canva is the best option. Pros With Canva it is extremely simple to create my designs, as it is simple to use and easy to create the most different types of designs in minutes. What I like most is the ease of being able to implement images from my own database and easily being able to edit them as you wish and implement them with other images from Canva itself and stay at a professional level. Downloading is also very simple and fast. Cons The fact that the vast majority of images become paid is very uncomfortable, because for each image a high amount is paid, so if you add several images the price is very expensive. The positioning of the images is also a little tricky to do, when adding several images and want to position them as desired, it is very difficult because the Canva itself locks some positions and you can only place your image in those pre-selected positions, the option of leaving the images free would be very welcome.
