The platform prioritizes initial ease of use at the expense of scalability, performance, and true ownership, making it a starter tool that serious users will inevitably be forced to discard. Pros Beginner-friendly: If you can use a computer, you can make a website with this. No coding needed. They have a ton of professional-looking templates so you don't start from scratch. Lots of Features: You can add a blog, an online store, a booking system, and a bunch of other stuff with just a few clicks. I like all the new add-on features too. It's a good "all-in-one-place" kind of service. Pros It's simple to use, and the customer support is great. The new features are always really cool and are great tools for a multi-functioning site. The templates are always really nice and easy to use as well. Cons The prices. Compared to other site builders, Wix is more on the expensive side. Especially if you have several sites. Objectively speaking, though the navigation is simple, but confusing for a first timer. Once you progress any further, it's getting more comprehensible, improving in a professional way of managing the personally customized website. Pros The first part, once I first used Wix.com, it was slightly bland. I returned back for more exploration. To my surprise, it was engaging to use. Despite complexity to create a very flexible responsive personal website, it test your creativity and its style. It was worth it, in my view. Cons Besides the complexity of creating the website, which is fine, as to test your creativity and professionalism, the manual instructions seem lacking. I did follow it, but it's short and quite vague. I managed to follow successfully, even though this is the perspective for a first timer, it makes sense, it took lots of time, but at least makes the instructions simple and detailed. Pros Customer Support - The representative I spoke with via chat was very helpful. He was not able to completely resolve the issue -as part of it had to go through the hosting service, but he did patiently walk me through what I needed to do to get to a point where it is now all on the hosting service where I was struggling before to get my issue straightened out. It had different pricing options which I also liked. Pros Wix was pretty easy to use, speaking as someone who has never built a website before. The tools were simple enough to allow me to create a lovely website for my LLC. I liked that it integrated with Google workspace and allowed me to create my first business email account and link it with the site. I also liked that it has the option to preview your site in a desktop view and mobile view. Cons I didn't like that there were a few things that weren't as intuitive as the rest of the building features, so I had to figure out some aspects of how the website would look by trial and error. I find that the there is much more flexibility to execute your vision if you want something specific and not a template, in comparison to other providers. Cons Pricing and subscription plans are not always straight forward, and many plan features or caveats aren't made clear when buying, so you often end up needing a more expensive plan to complete what you wanted. Really helpful for managing ticketing. When we have events for 500+ the scan ticket feature is really handy for getting people in quickly (I can get the team to download on their phone/ ipad etc Pros It's easy to make small changes, add events (with tickets- all integrated with stripe). I didn't have any formal training on the product but have easily been able to work my way around the websites. Cons Support online- not having a number to call, it can be frustrating talking to a bot when sometimes a really quick call to a real person would have the problem sorted quickly.
