Pros The ability to have full control of placement on the Website. All other hosting services limit you or force you to use spacers to place an image in a certain spot. Wix does not. The drag and drop features are amazing and you really don't have to use a bunch of apps to accomplish a simple Website. My business has been using WIX for a long time and wouldn't really try to go anywhere else. They seem to have everything I need. I recently had an issue that i needed customer support to help with. AI chatbot wasn't really able to get to the root of my issue, but connected me to David and helped me get to Majestic in advanced billing, who solved my issues very quickly. Customer support was great once I got past the AI Chatbot. Excellent Cons I wish there was a tiered discount for premium subscriptions, where the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th business with premium subcriptions were offered a discount. I honestly wouldn't have been able to solve my issue without a human looking physically looking at my site and walking me through the resolution. Cons I don't like the Velo app for back end code, it's very limited. I think the entire site code should simply be readily accessible on the settings tab. If you mess it up, you could simply go back in the history of the changes with an arrow, or at the very least just go back and republish the version if the site prior to changing the code. Cons I wish there would be a tool to move my site from WIX Editor to WIX studio automatcally, even for a pay. After all the work done on my website since years, I can't see myself re-doing all from scratch with WIX Studio. I appreciated the templates; they are well designed. It is easy to get started quickly even if you haven't used Wix before. The price was okay for what was offered. Cons The system doesn't make it easy to sell internationally because it doesn't have support for VAT and other international taxes. But it also doesn't have an easy setup to only sell within the US; I can't limit sales based on IP and shipping addresses combined, which makes it difficult to make sure I'm obeying laws everywhere. I want an e-commerce platform that works as a merchant of record collecting and submitting sales taxes for me. I also found that the upload speed was slow and experienced a lot of lag. Their GDPR and California policies are lacking and I have to pay another service to meet all the legal obligations. Customer support was unable to solve my problems.
